Why is this here? I could understand if you had actually developed this...but its not a ROM...and you didn't develop it...so why is it in the development section?

I have the LG G2 Verizon variant and knock knock works. No bugs here. Can you elaborate? Everything with the exception of selecting "Wallpapers" when you long press on the home screen works. Just to clarify, when you long press, you are presented with Wallpapers, Widgets, and Settings (the Google Now settings).

So besides the swipe to the right for google now and always on "hey google", are there any differences or things you like better than the LG Launcher, because that is great for me.

Tried it and was....eh. I liked the swipe to the side for Google now but otherwise, it was nothing special. Don't need the always on Google search (w/ the screen on). And my wallpapers are all stretched so back to stock LG launcher (And I get more icons with it).

So...is there a way to make it wake up by saying Google Now when it's in standby? I disabled S Voice but never really used it in the first place since I only recently got the S4.

One x.. workarounds till root

While my one x is charging, wanted to see if I can find workarounds till root is available for a few things:
Battery percent on status bar (something nice looking but lightweight)
No search button, including assigning long press to an app.
Notification toggles
Using nova, and even in a lot of other apps, missing the menu button. Any suggestions or is anyone else having this issue?
Sure would like to restore some of my app data.. Especially for the few games I have.
Any good and battery friendly lock screen replacement? Last I heard widget locker still wasn't ics compatible.
Any way to block ads on an unrooted phone lol?
Anyone get Google voice working?
Sure was spoiled having root during my entire prior android experience. I've went ahead and got this assuming we'll have root in the not so distant future. Just trying to get by till then. I have a hard time seeing myself with anything else but a htc phone but I'll switch to the s3 if nothing changes by the time its released.. Grr.. sure don't want to.
Ty so much for any help I can get.

As far as Google voice is concerned, still can't get it to take. It changed two of my forwarding numbers but won't switch my voicemail in settings, nor does my call history include my google voice mails.

As far as google voice, I set it up on the phone and it would not work correctly, so I logged in on the pc and went to settings and it gave me a code to type into the phone and it works now, but in the voicemail settings on the phone it still says my carrier but under call forwarding it has my gv number
I think I had to deactivate it then reactivate it

was wondering about the GoogVoice issue as well. dude... i cannot freaking wait until we get this thing rooted. so many problems on the software side. it's pretty horrendous imo. there's quite a lot i'd like to tweak.

Yes, I've used Apex before. Nova (for me at least on the Inspire) just seemed to be smoother (and I had already paid for the prime version). I might give apex another shot on this phone.
There is a Google Voice thread on this forum. It worked for me. You have to log in on the computer and use a number. After that it works like a charm regardless of what the VM settings on the phone say.

Capacitive search not working properly

Hello all,
Ever since I flashed emancipation ROM on my infuse, pressing the search capacitive button no longer opens up the Google search box.
Otherwise the button works fine. long pressing the search button opens the “speak now"dialog and everything but not the Google search function for some reason.
Can someone guide me on how to bring back this functionality.
Thanks
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using Tapatalk
This is because you probably do not have the Google Search app. If you want to get the functionality back, all you have to do is go on the Play Store and download Google Search.
Hope this works.

so i installed a different rom hoping this issue would be fixed (Mind of Mac) and still same thing. I really like that fact that before i could simply "tap" the capacitive search button ONCE and search apps/contacts/internet/google serach...now i gotta use the google search widget which is extra work.
any one have anyideas?
thanks

Have you tried to remove Google Now from JB? I did!

So I have JB on my rooted Nexus S. As usual i have deleted system apps that I don't use or like. One of them was google search AKA Google Now.
I don't like something stuck on top of my home screen and removing it on 4 hadn't cause any issues. Not this time.
Beware that if you delete velvet.apk/googlequicksearchbar from JB you loose Voice Input method on your keyboard.
It is a real bummer to tie a device core function to a service that some people might not like.

You do know you can just turn Google now off right? Just asking because I would hate to lose voice. If you didn't already know just open Google now, hit menu, select Google now, and slide on button to off. If you did know then disregard.

Is there a way to get the old search back? I liked how my search opened directly into my browser. Even with google now turned off it searches in that different program which has terrible 3 past item history. Also it's quite easy to lose the search when multitasking and jumping in and out of different tasks.

I don't have root access to my Note 3. I followed the instructions to download all the necessary files, installed them in the proper order, and did the language switch trick, but I'm getting force closes whenever I swipe to the left and click on any card.
^^^exactly .I dont want to root my phone . Doing the language switch is just a temporary solution and will go back to force close when do anything after on your phone .

no idea how i did this..
Okay so I'm not totally new to android. Tbh I do a lot more modding on I phones. But way more than your average jailbreaker.
I've had a rooted gs1 gs3 and now I've turned in my iphone5 for the Note 3. Great decision.
So I have my rooted note 3 on at&t.
I then somehow got xposed framework to work with the new Google launcher. (Okay Google hotword and Google now to the left working fully ) also installed the Google keyboard after with no problems.
The weird thing to me is I read all the instructions on how to install the new Google launcher experience, and followed the instructions.
But when I went to install all the apps but the Google launcher file (last file you install) they failed to install. So then once installing the launcher I rebooted. Then went into the xposed framework and turned on and off the module and rebooted again. Then I set all my settings, rebooted again. And the FINAL product is
The new Custom Themed Google experience.
Here are some pics.

Android 4.4 AOSP apps! (All in one place)

These are awesome, they work (some) , but as always use at your own risk.

Anyone having Google Now problems, see if this works, tell me what happens either way:
Change the default language to UK English and leave it like that for a few hours it should fix the force close issues.
