Based on the pics and videos ive seen, the android 4.4 font is the same as 4.3

No, I've read they do have a new font, different from 4.3.
In The Verge review, they said there was a new condensed Roboto font.

Hi,
Sorry for another bump, but hey... at least I stay on topic. I tried the described steps and once it worked, but on second time it failed and gave me bootloop. Does anyone know how to add other fonts simply to the menu that is in settings?

if anyone knows what font that is, that would be great
There are a few fonts that look similar in the Font Installer app, though not exact. Personally, I think I might like Eager Naturalist better in that style. It may at least be a quick and easy stopgap if not close enough for you.
If you are rooted , you can download rom toolbox. It has a font installer and it has allot of really good fonts to choose from. Over 100+ fonts I believe. You can download it from the market.
Sent from my Serendipity 6.4 flashed Captivate using xda premium
use a root browser to drop any font you like into the font folder to use it. system/fonts/(drop it here).
make sure permissions are fixed to rw-r--r--
that should work
font for nexus
this type of font you can get in, go to setting-> display and then font option also you can download front from google Play, even if your phone is not rooted,
if your phone is rooted then there are several ways to change the font and you can also get lots of font

Just open my theme.apk. You'll see what icons you should change
I'm using your normal Touchwiz theme and found the SGS3 icons and attempted to replace them. I changed them to the appropriate filenames and everything and when I try to install it, it keeps saying "not installed". Was I supposed to change permissions?

If u face problem like "This theme was improperly compiled and cannot be applied" then u need to change dpi from 160 to 120. (Edit file build.prop in /system folder). After that restart ur system and apply theme. U may want to change dpi back to 160 for normal look. Then restart again. :victory:
That method will work for most of themes. But some themes after apply may cause boot loop. Like popstyle for cm9.

[Q]Need little help regarding CM7 theme!

Hi,
I am getting little bored now-a-days, so trying diff themes. Flashed JB style notification from Raja4sure, then applied this theme.
Now my phone looks something like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Where the actual pic in the thread looks like:
My question is simple..what makes the color different in the pointed regions while I am using the same theme? Isn't it the property of the CM7 theme? Or property of SystemUI?
Which png should I change to look like that of the thread pic?
No one? I think many of you can answer this. aarrun?? twinky444?? anyone else?
Theme you applied doesn't change the blue square you highlighted. It is a part of the JB layout patch. The images of layout patch won't be changed by CM theme. You will have to change it yourself.
And btw, cm7 themes include only themes, not the entire jb layout patch.

OK...I got it..that was my question..whether it's a part of theme or JB Patch....thanks for clarifying...:good:

Fonts too thin after chaning them

Hello again guys, another weird issue with my new Huawei P30. So I had changed my font to the Huawei font that comes with the phone. Its a nice font. Was using it for a while without issues. I went to the Themes app and downloaded new fonts to try out. I didn't like them much so I tried going back to the one I was using before. But then I noticed that the font has become much thinner. Its like its using the Thin or Light weight of the font. The first time this happened I was so annoyed that I reset the phone (was new and didn't have loads of data on it). But I completely forgot about that encounter and I did it again now and the font is very thin. Take a look at the screenshots of before and after below (ignore the conversation, )
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
----
As you can see the font is much thinner. The weird thing is, after this, all the fonts become much thinner. The only way to get normal weight font is to use the system default font. Does anybody have a explanation/solution to this?
Thanks,
Is it thin everywhere system wide or just in that messaging app?
It is thin system wide. Keyboard, settings, status bar... Everywhere!

I'm guessing you have rebooted the phone and applied the font again, I know theme developers recommend that to ensure it applies correctly
1. Apply Theme
2. Reboot
3. ReApply Theme
Or in your case, font
