A fully functioning stock keyboard
If you are having an issue on your G2 with the split keyboard function, use the below zip instead. This is not an issue with all ROMs, so you may have to try both.

Note: Voice input does not function on 4.4 Roms.
A quick thanks is appreciated, if you can click on the download link you can hit the thanks button.

Thanks works great...

That sucks but looking at clean rom, it is an unusual(being still stock based) rom compared to most being built off CM/AOSP 4.2.2. Clean is just for Verizon and being Odex still, you may want to ask the dev to manually add the stock keyboard in or do it yourself by extracting the files of the zip and setting them in the correct folder, set ownership and then permissions.
Thanks for reporting though so other users do not have the issue.

This isnt for stock ROMS.
Its for the AOSP type (Im assuming because there are no 4.3 based stock roms). AHAHA
CleanROM is stock based. Which I guess now classifies as unusual.
BTW: This keyboard is already in LG based ROMS and not needed for them.

Finally the LG keyboard install!
Can I use this on Tmobile/PowerUser 1.2 ROM or will it annihilate my phone?

The zip flashes fine on the LG OG pro stock firmware without issue and works fully without adding the build prop lines. If you try, make sure to backup before and you may have to still add the build prop lines, I looked at the ROM's page and I really can tell how far in depth he went into deleting needed files. You could always manually push the files too.

When flashing it gives me a zip signature verification error. Is this expected? The Dev for the ROM I'm using posted an LG keyboard flash, too, but has the same error. I tried turning off the verification option with his and it installs but when trying to activate the keyboard it crashes.

Your best bet is probably to extract the files and manually put them into the folders, set permissions and reboot. Even though the files in my zip are directly from my buddies G2, it for some reason does not like flashing to them.

I like the numbers being on a separate row, but the IQ of the keyboard drives me crazy. On AOSP keyboard, if I spell something not in the dictionary and it autocorrects, hitting backspace will put it back to how it was before it changed it.
On the LG Keyboard, when it changes it and I backspace, it stays the same. Oddly after it changes my word like 2-3 times with me hitting backspace, eventually it will revert back to my original word. Never does it on the first or second or third time usually.
I still like the LG keyboard though. Does this include the themes too? That wood theme is butt ugly.

[ROM]MIUI-2.8.17 JB Grouper v0.1 Alpha By Jmotyka and Droid_Vicious!
EDIT: This is going to be a co-development by me and droid_vicious. He is working his magic now.
Let me introduce myself. I'm jmotyka and im no developer, i am a graphic designer and android themer/enthusiast. I used to be a well known themer for the Nexus One and worked along side of Manup456. I have been out of the theming and developing seen for a while until now, i am very rusty. This is my first step into the android world again. I have many friends/devs that will help out when needed. I am a very busy man i dont have much time to develop, so please bare with me if i go on a multi-day hiatus. This rom is not and will not be my priority. I expect people to show some respect to me and others in this thread. If there is any sign of flamage in this thread rom development will immediately be halted and removed.
Credits:
1. MIUI & CyanogenMod Development Teams
2. Droid_Vicious For the inspiration and being an all around good friend
3. Google For making this possible
4.BAMF for the Grouper Gapps.
Links (do not mirror):
Instructions:
1. Copy the rom - to SD Card
2. Boot into CWM and do a backup of your current rom
3. Flash the rom
4. Skip recovery flash!(after flashing the rom CWM will prompt you with the option to flash or skip. SKIP!!!!
5. Flash Grouper Gapps
6. Wipe Data
7. Reboot and DERP
Working:
Everything as far as i can tell.
Not Working:
Dont know yet, but everything seems to be fine as of right now
TODO List:
1; Remove Recovery
2. Finish English Translations
3. Add Reboot Menu
4. Add Custom Kernel
5. Find the best DPI for the rom and device.
Notes:
This rom actually comes from china. The only thing i did was change some build.prop stuff to get it functioning. To start off for some odd reason who ever developed the rom in china left the DPI to 310 and it looked horrible, so i set it to 213 which is the groupers standard dpi, it looked much better but the drop down notification window was getting cut off, so i decided to set it to 240 which looks great IMHO. This is by far not the final product. I am by no means a skilled developer but i am a tinkerer and if i run into issues usually i can fix them.
Important Notes
1)This rom for what ever reason has a recovery baked in. I recommend running cwm because cwm will let you SKIP the recovery flashing. I have not had time to remove this yet but i will. DONT ACCEPT THE RECOVERY FLASH BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF ITS OK OR NOT. I don't see why it would be a problem because this rom was developed for the N7.
2)I AM NOT TO BLAME IF YOU FLASH THIS AND YOU NEXUS 7 BLOWS UP. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

What does that mean? Is that a good or bad thing? Screenshot please?
Also I noticed in the first screenshot it says "No service" at the top left corner. Does it always say that? Can that be removed and/or edited? Thanks!
I am kind of reluctant to root my Nexus 7 because I don't know if I can still receive official Google updates on Android if I root it or if I can even unroot it.
Sure
Fills the screen but does not overlap.
Here's a screen of the keyboard.
Regarding your other concerns I would say go ahead and root. With the toolkits available it is very easy to flash back to stock, unroot, and relock the bootloader if needed.

Top secret butter recipe
Obviously you can't text or use phone so don't even try, but other than that every thing will be gravy.
Also be sure to thank droidvicious for working on a ROM that he doesn't even have a device for.
Thanks for the help. I now have English.
But, I think I lost root.Rom manager hangs with error as does Titanium. I tried to get back to cwm but for the life of me I cannot boot back into it. If I could I would fix permissions there. But again. I may have lost root?
Fixed. Went to permission mgr and all seems to be good again.
OMG you are the most amazing person every. I love you (No Homo)
If you need help with something such as default language english and all that stuff i can help out. Also you can change the size to stock by modding the services.jar and androidpolicy.jar file. Im going to expiriment a bit, thanks so much again.
Edit
You are so amazing, i noticed you are using mediafire? If you want the next build you can send it to me and i can upload it to my site for direct download links. I have unlimited bandwidth so its no problem for me.
thanks for creating a v0.2 so efficiently, the recovery issue has been driving me crazy the past few hours!
Hyperrunner is here? If he starts helping out with this ROM, I might forget all my issues with MIUI and run this exclusively! I'm definitely gonna be keeping a close eye on this thread

A simple way would be to use a file manager that will let you access root files (such as ES Explorere) and look in the folder /system/app - if you see any files that say .odex and .apk then you are still odexed. If you only see files that say .apk then you are deodexed.

That would be cool, thanks! It seems that with the tab setup some of my notifications no longer display (i.e. K9 / Kaiten mail, etc) Also somehow some scren resolutions seem different now with a few launcher menus (folders) running off the screen now.

Xposed Module to disable ugly VZW 4G icon

version 1.1 is up, leaving 1.0 up as well until i have a few people confirm 1.1 works for them (if 1.0 worked for you, 1.1 should work as well...i've been running it on my phone for a few days now without any issues). this new version will allow you to choose (via a preference in the module) whether you want the 4G icon or the LTE icon...
note: my phone is a vzw dev edition, running 4.4.2...although based on initial reports in the thread, it seems (and from my own remembering how the old version was) that this should also work on 4.4.0.
usual disclaimer, i'm not responsible if you break something. i've been running it on my phone and it has been working great...if there's a problem with it, please let me know (this is my first time attempting something like this).

confirmed working on:
Verizon Moto X (both retail and Developer Edition)
European Moto X (XT1052)
GSM Developer Edition Moto X (XT1053)
Moto G (confirmed in Germany, stock ROM)
changelog:
v1.1 (3/11/2014)
- added option to select either 4G icon or LTE icon (in preferences, requires a reboot after changing)
- removed android-support library, greatly reduced file size
v1.0 (3/9/2014)
- initial release

not sure what's going on (and i have no way of testing it since i don't have a G2) ...maybe they use a different method of including the carrier 4G icon? that's a complete guess though on my part, and i'm not sure why it would throw that error on installation rather than just not working...

LG 4.4.2 Stock Rom - Massively debloated, only has a few apps left. All LG features should work. Requires custom recovery. Do not flash AOSP or 4.2.2 kernels.
This includes my new updater script for kitkat so it actually has a /system folder instead of the system.img.
You can find the standalone updater script here. I believe it is the first created, every KK rom I've seen is not editable using a system.img. It took a few hours to create.
The kernel is stock but I made some small adjustments and toolchain fixes.
I have a custom kernel for this up in this forum.
Instructions.
Full wipe besides for internal storage
Flash Kitkat modem here (If you aren't already using it)
Flash Rom here (mirror soon, but not yet since I need to reupload)
Flash SuperSu here
If you get a "symlinks failed" (happens right away if system doesn't mount properly) reboot back into recovery re-wipe and flash again.
You are the man!?!?? I should have never left your lg 4.4 build. Flaked another and paid for it.
Thanks again doc!!

I'd love to try this, but has anyone figured out the issue with torrents not downloading on kitkat?
@dr87 is it OK to use with twrp 2.6.3.5?

It will download if you go to the torrent file using a file explorer like estrongs. I don't know why it doesn't work the way it used to by just opening up after downloading the torrent file but at least your not totally screwed.

Uses a kitkat updater script which I believe works on 2.6.3.5
Looking good so far. One silly thing that I saw missing. I like the weather animation on the lockscreen. Is there a way to add it to this?
To flash this version do you still need the a bootloader or can the g be used now?

you can try it on G just backup first
twrp 6.3 failed had to upgrade to 2.7 for it to flash.
i've tried every single Kitkat rom I have get my hands on, followed the instructions to the letter and if I turn this screen off and turn it back on, its just lines. White lines or colored lines. Every single f*cking kitkat stock rom. I don't get it. i'm ready to throw the thing into the river.
I know its not your rom, and it works flawlessly as long as I don't turn off the screen.

This is probably one of the most confusing issues to me since everyone here has the same device, downgrading to the same exact partitions yet some people have these line issues which makes no sense to me at all. I've been trying to figure it out but its a pretty confusing issue, its not like we have different variants. We can maybe try upgrading tz and rpm partitions since they will work with this bootloader
The only thing complete stock has that this don't is the new partitions and I'm really not sure why it's causing issues for some people
Is anyone else having issues with the radio constantly losing connectivity, or am I the only one?

Running perfect so far!!
Only thing I can't do is connect to visual voicemail..not sure if this is rom related.
And is there any way to get the clock back?

[PORT][LL ONLY] LG G3 QuickRemote for AOSP

Greetings!
I have ported the latest version of LG G3's QuickRemote.
DISCLAIMER: I won't be responsible for any loss of data or other mishaps resulting from using this port. Always backup before flashing anything. Use or test at your own risk.
Information
Latest QuickRemote version ported
Modified some UI Elements to Material Design
This app will run only on Lollipop-based ROMs.
For reference, please check this thread.
Update (v4.50.19)
Flashable ZIP
APK (For updating)
Older version (v4.40.12) here
Thanks to @RieGo for the original scripts and to @Yoshi_Guy for providing files for the recent update.
NOTE - This port is not guaranteed to run on all LG Devices & other OEM's since i only have G3 on mind while porting this one, so apologies in advance if i may not help in fixing it for your device.
Did you try thisw on a G3 with an AOSP rom yourself? It looks like the only thing changed from the working zip is a newer version of the apk file, with the rest of the stuff in that zip file being exactly the same. It just force closes for me, using xenonHD (09-01-15) on LS990
Yeah i just replaced from there. I only tested it with D855 on CM12.1 so there might be some problems yet. if you can give a logcat, that can help
I'm using Resurrection remix and i have the same problem like the other port for quick remote for AOSP.
When i choose Tv there is no list of manufacturers.Wipe cache/davlik every time but nothing change.

sure, here you go.
Ive tried so many things to get a newer version of QRemote to work on an AOSP ROM, with nothing doing. Ive been using other remote apps in the meantime, but nothing out there is as clean and easy to to use than LG's.
Good Luck!
I do have a bunch of stuff on this phone right now, like xposed, that could be causing my problem. Although the [1-13-15] zip works fine. Maybe the material design changes you mentioned could be it? Ill try it on a clean rom soon and see if i still get the same errors in the logcat soon and let you know.

Your work is fine, the problem was mine. Im not sure what happened to the ROM i was using, but it was messed up. I noticed all of the folders in /data/data had different ou/rwx permissions, among other problems. Anyways, I wiped my whole phone clean and flashed a new ROM, and your zip, and the app runs perfectly!
Thank-you!

yay, I used flashify on the zip, reboot, then http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/how-to-set-selinux-to-permissive-boot-t3034245
juiceSSH for the terminal commands.
then soft reboot cyanogenmod then the manufacturer list shows up!
time to live the good lazy life again with touch screen remote control.
thanks for the port
CM12.1 not take
Works fine on standard resolution and DPI, but force closes on 1080x1920, DPI 380. D855, AICP, 777 R17.
Yes, same here. I am using full hd res and 360 dpi, app force closes. (Cm 12.1)
To those having problems try using this to switch to Permissive

AFAIK most of LG's apps crash when your DPI is below a certain point, so yeah, it's not going to be an easy fix if there is.

OK, I see, but [APP][5.0.2][IR]LG QuickRemote for AOSP [1-13-15] is working just fine with custom resolution and DPI.
