More apps in Multi Window and Pen Window - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Themes and Apps

First, I have nothing to do with either of these apps, I'm just posting them here for you guys to see.
Second, not all apps play nice with these apps, but most work just fine.
Both require root access.

The MW Manager requires the Xposed framework, but I don't believe Pen Window does.
The MW Manager and Pen Window Mod are independent of each other.

I'm in the same boat as you... The Pen app worked for me, but not the Multi Window Manager; and I made sure it was enabled and rebooted multiple times, but still no change. In fact, I found out the Wanam Xposed seems to do the same thing the S Pen App Mgr does so I removed that one, but the MWM app doesn't seem to save my changes. And this is the app I prefer to use for multi-tasking really...
I'm rooted with Root de la Vega and installed MWM via Google Play, and it does ask for root rights when it wants to reboot, but no change on my MW side panel after that... I guess I'll try installing via Xposed Framework next..

RakeIn
When I take my s pen out and air command comes up I still get the pen window option but nothing happens when I click on pen window. I've been reading up on this and I believe I deleted some bloat that I still need. Does anyone have the RakeIn APK?

[FIX] App-Drawer on MIUI Launcher

After flashing the brilliant MIUI rom, i decided to check out the stock launcher. It is one of the smoothest launchers i've used on my infuse other than Launcher Pro, however i was disappointed to be confronted with a I-Phone like home screen experience where all the apps were hanging around willy nilly! Hence i found a simple solution to the problem and it is only 2 steps .
Instructions:
1.Put all of your apps into a single folder except for the ones that you plan to keep on your home screens.
2.Download Alt Drawer and put it in your dock. This will now be your app drawer!
There you go its as simple as that! The experience is almost identical to other launchers.
However to add an app from the app-drawer, u must close the app drawer and grab it out of your folder where you stock-piled all the other apps.
Hope this helps someone...first thread on XDA hope i dont get yelled at
Here is an implementation of what i'm talking about:
My home screen with alt-drawer being the right most app on my drawer
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And on this screen you can see alt-drawer when opened up.
Also i forgot to mention earlier, alt-drawer is very very customizble.
You can change lots of settings
(i.e Background transparency, icon size, font size, font color, side-side scrolling/vertical scrolling, hide/show notification, orientation etc)

This a handy way to get an app drawer. Ive been running MIUI on my Sony X10 for quite a while now. I typically had put all the apps in the tools folder, but the AltDrawer0.7.1 apk works great.
Does the app have a setting so it could scroll side to side like in Touchwiz?

take a look at the screenshot those are all the options. The style option for me is grid...there is another option called page-page which is horizontal. just get app lol its free anyway
Looks like a nice addition. I was just throwing all my apps in one folder and sticking it on the dock. Works basically the same way, but not as customizable.
Nice, thank you I may just try Miui now because of it my friend lol.
thanks for this man. really helpful. I saw another mod, but not as flexible as this. I hope they implement that app drawer concept that's getting big cred on the miui.us site, but this will due until then if that ever gets implemented

I notice that sometimes when I open up the App Drawer, a blank screen comes up before the list of programs appear. It can be up to 6-7 secs.
I tried the suggestion of using Titanium to make AppDrawer a system app. Tried to find the app and move it to the other location, but couldn't find it. Will try again.
Any other suggestions?

Make sure it's on internal memory not sd card. Use Root Explorer and move from
/data/apps to /system/apps.
Works fine after that.

Just a warning, there is a piece of malware in it, but that's got you bummed? No need! To stop it from transmitting data follow these easy steps,
[possible list] 1) download droidwall (link to droidwall: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...2FsbC5mcmVlIl0. ) YOU MUST BE ROOTED TO USE DROID WALL, IF YOU AREN'T, I'D SUGGEST NOT DOWNLOADING THIS APP)
2) Start up droid wall, make sure you are blacklisting apps, not whitelisting!
3) After installing the LWP, but before setting it as your wallpaper, open up droidwall & Check the box next. This will prevent the app from sending or recieving data."
4) Enjoy the phenominal app!
Optional step 5:
If you are ever questionable about an app, just add it to the blacklist in droid wall to make sure you won't have any problems with it!
I hope you guys enjoy this app as much as I have!!

Pop Up Browser

One thing I miss from Note 2 is the pop up browser. I don't know why Samsung took it out of Note 3. Even though pen window browser is useful, pop up is just quicker and instantly open any links in small window. So here's the apk that I found from Note 3 International thread and sharing back here. Works perfect on my note 3. Install just like any other apk. No root needed.
Only problem is don't maximize the pop up window, it will crash since the app is not linked with stock browser on Note 3 and doesn't know where to open.

I found that if you go into Settings > Device > Open Multi Window > check "Automatically Open" works similar to the pop-up browser... only a few taps faster.
I think this is the replacement for the pop-up browser... now when you click on a link from an email or something... it will pop open a multi-window instead of a box. That is what I have been using that seems to replace the box pretty well.... because I know I didnt want everything to open in the box... so I would always have to leave the prompt to ask each time... this method seems to save a couple taps.
Thank you!

[APP] MULTIWINDOW Apps Manager - Easily Add More Apps to the Multiwindow Tray

Hello Friends,
I would like to share this app, MULTIWINDOW Apps Manager, to easily enable or add more apps to the MULTIWINDOW TRAY.
Please READ the NOTES below for Important Info before installing this app so you will know what it does and it's limitations.
NOTE I: This app requires a ROOTED device. If you don't know what rooted is, then more likely your device is not rooted so please don't install if you are not sure if you have a rooted device.
NOTE II: This app only adds apps you select into the multiwindow app list and has nothing to do with how multiwindow function works. It seems that in EDIT mode, that is when you are adding apps from the edit list to the traybar, the wrong app is being added. This is because Samsung did not make the multiwindow edit list to support more than 32 apps at the same time. This is a shortcoming on the part of the samsung multiwindow code and has nothing to do with this app. So when you enable more than 32 apps and when in EDIT mode, please drag apps you want to include in the Multiwindow Tray from the START of the EDIT app list (in EDIT mode) and NOT from the BOTTOM so you will not have trouble picking the wrong app.
NOTE III: Just because you can add more apps in the Multiwindow traybar does not mean you have to add all your apps. Based on experience, not all apps are multiwindow-friendly like SHEALTH and some others, and adding too many apps causes the multiwindow traybar to lag or slow down so BE WARNED.
NOTE IV: If you have previously edited others.xml or features.xml, you may have introduced some errors to the xml file layout which would prevent this app from properly functioning. Editing the said xml files manually is not advisable due to human error of breaking the xml structure by accident. If this app does not work after previously manually editing the said xml files, then I suggest you restore the original unedited xml files.
DOWNLOAD from PLAY STORE or at the bottom of this post.
1. Make sure your device is ROOTED.
2. Make a Nandroid Backup or all backups that you can think of.
3. Install the app, Run and grant root/superuser/supersu access.
4. Select your apps and reboot.
5. Enjoy.

Actually it's kind of counter intuitive.
You need to add the apps in two places.
After you add the apps you want with the app.
Open the my bar
At the bottom is a little arrow.
Click it.
Click edit.
Drag your apps in the order you want from the pop up window to the bar.
Close and reboot.
You should now have all the apps in your bar that you want.

Drag your apps in the order you want from the pop up window to the bar.
Close and reboot.
You should now have all the apps in your bar that you want.

Google Play Issue
Hi I just buy the pen launcher app and it works like a charm, my only feedback its that google play didn't recognize my device as compatible (N9005) for the multi window manager, I'm going to download it from here, but my recomendation is that you try to fix this because this will allow more people buy the MultiWindow Plus, once they install the Multi Window.
Many thanks awesome apps :highfive:
Works good :thumbup::thumbup:
thx
I love the icon and i love the app. Thanks!

Hey mate, I have a problem.
Since I set up my device (note 3 SM-N9005) new, mw app manager and neither pen window manager save the apps I activated...
What can be the problem? Maybe S5 launcher?

Alternative for NON-ROOTED devices
If like me you haven't and don't want to root your device there is an excellent alternative that lets you add apps to the multiwindow drawer that are otherwise non-compatible apps. Its called MW-Pen enabler pro. It modifies your installed app on the device so no decompiling of an apk is required by you. I successfully modified the TomTom app and Audible app for use in multiwindow mode so that when I drive I can have the button free mode of Audible to navigate an audiobook without having to close and reopen TomTom each time. The app costs £1.50 but definitely worth the money.
There is one solution that I am still seeking which is to automatically launch 2 apps in multiwindow mode using a singe shortcut or NFC event. Does anybody know how to do this ?

Hum is there a way to get the bar at the bottom of screen in landscape mode ?
Thanks for this app. I'm on n7105 stock 4.4.2 everything works except the display in alphabetic order function. Is there any solution?
Thanks
Works perfectly on Note 3 SM-N900T.
AWESOME app, five stars to you.
However the phone starts a little slower than before, because I've added 7-8 apps, I think it's normal..... Everything is well.
Thank you so much! All the best

Try hitting the. = ( left side of the home bar) and see if that triggers it. Are you using 4x5 or 4x6?

I apologize. I have never used the swipe left app, only the swipe up, so you must have Flipboard Briefing checked for it to work, way cool. Working fine now. :good::good:
Thanks for pointing that out. 4x5 I am using.

The issue I am having is that when 3rd party widgets are expanded to 5&6 in length, they get removed when coming from landscape to portrait. If I can fix that, there will be.

Thanks for the launcher and it's theme features. I have getting FCs when I try to use the TWSwipe. Everything else works great except for that. I'm using the 4x5 launcher. Any ideas?
