This started as me compiling Paranoid for a few friends over on the Galaxy Nexus and then after a while it was getting modified everytime I compiled it, to add more and more 'Inverted Apps' and its got to the stage now where its all just about inverted.... when one of my friends suggested we should release it on there because it was 'good enough' we thought why the hell not... So now one of the team has a Galaxy Note 2 and he's pestered me till I compiled one for him (only joking man ) so here it is...
As stated this is compiled from source by me. Its just the plain compile, with no cherry picks (yet). We have added various things and taken some out to make it better for us and we will be releasing as is. Now this is made for our little circle of friends and I will not be changing it from how it is now... So please don't ask for the old apps to be added back. If you want a plain standard version of Paranoid, use the official version as that is the benchmark we all try to rise too
I will endeavor to update at least once a week, and update the inverted apps accordingly. Some of the inverted apps I use like Google+ will obviously try to update through Play Store when they are updated. If you update it will revert it to normal, so just simply turn off auto updates for them

How to install
This guide is based on my install procedure to ensure optimal performance. I am aware that we all have our own preferred methods but I have realised that by following OP procedure its much easier to get help and figure out flashing related issues:
This guide is based on the assumption you have a form of recovery be it CWM and TWRP installed and ready to flash..........I have CWM
- boot into recovery using extended power menu or 3rd party app or 3 button combo home, vol down and power
- in recovery do a nandroid backup from backup/restore menu
- wipe data/factory reset
- in mounts and storage format system
- install zip from sdcard and choose rom zip to install
- install inverted gapps
- wipe cache
- in advanced wipe dalvik cache and fix permissions
- reboot system
I have found that wiping cache and dalvik after installing rom and gapps ensures a clean install on reboot.
This is the exact method I used to install the rom so if u have any issues after using this method then please report it to us. If you used your own method then we may not be able to offer adequate support. thanks for reading and hope you enjoy the rom

looks interesting. so it is completely based on imilkas github? if imilka fixes something it will be here rather soonish and there are the same issues with this rom as there are with his? (for example weird camera behavior for some phones?)

Yeah as its based on his github, it will have the same issues as his rom, but as soon as its fixed in his rom, it should be fixed in this, we've just added a dark feel to the rom and added inverted apps...

Any way to remove the soft buttons since the Note II has 1 hardware button and 2 touch sensitive buttons?

It won't have the soft buttons enabled by default, if you look, the pics are from the Xperia T (Put those on to give you an idea what the rom looks like) which has soft buttons only, like the Nexus, so you shouldn't have a problem Unless you have it in tablet mode

God damn you for making such a tease of a ROM ... when i was just setting up my PA to my liking...

Come on guys don't be shy as this is a solid build. We may not be as popular as others on Samsung scene but we have been around a while as users and building roms privately. We only recently decided to release roms on Samsung scene as we think its as good enough as others on offer right now. We were a bit hesitant at first due to flaming issues on previous devices like s2 note 1 s3 etc but I am sure people will appreciate this.

Nfc didn't work but utaka's fix worked here.
Its really a nice rom. Really well planed and beautiful and cohesive in its presentation.
Like the themes u have added as standard. Cool.
Overall an really nice addition to the xda scene. Specially for Samsung phones. Thank you!

As far as NFC goes, this was just a basic compile using imilka's sources on github for our first attempt, we just wanted to make sure it was stable enough for release. I will look at utacka's fix, hopefully it will be merged, so the next compile will have it in, if not I will just add it manually...

Maybe its easier if someone could let me know exactly what standard Note 2 functions are lost when using a Cyanogen based ROM?

Well for me there are no spen apps but its early days as on my old note running PA some apps were being ported over. Official PA in original android thread states all you need to know

Well I'm guessing there is not that many issues as we haven't had a load of posts saying this and that doesn't work.... We've got to thank the PA and CM guys for that, but mainly imilka for merging those changes into his repo on github. As far as the spen goes, I will try to get hold of utacka to see what he cherry picked to get it working

What is Omega Rom
Needless to say, fabulous custom rom designed by indie.
I don't use OTA version of system because this version of Note II only available in China but not elsewhere in the world(d*mn TD-SCDMA), and it provides the worst update ever, even fixing panic level bug(/dev/exynos-mem privilege bug) will not get a update in time.

Before Install
Before get it start, make sure you have Samsung NOTE II 7102/7100(International WCDMA version) rooted and have CWM loader & Omega ROM v15 installed. If you have somehow have installed pdroid(2.0) on this device, make sure you have deleted /data/system/privacy* before flash these files(otherwise it will report for error when initialize openpdroid framework)
How to Install
Download
Download it, copy it to somewhere in your sdcard, reboot to recovery, install the file. reboot.
After flash it, you can download PDroid Manager from Google Play Store or download directly from author's page.
I got a problem
RESTORE
Flash this file if you cannot boot into the system. A full log(logcat) is appreciated if you could privide me some more info about the error.
What if I use someother roms on it
OpenPDROID is fully opensource. so does cm/aosp and aokp. If you use any rom of them. You can directly patch the rom source and compile it from scratch. That's out of the scope of this post.
Also I have plan to make OTA rom patches if possible. But since I use 7108 and I don't have a 7100/7102 right now, so someone maybe have to get involved to help me test the result.
for any other roms which derives from touchwiz framework(samsung stock rom's framwork,etc Omega alike.), you can upload the following files(/system/framework/(framework.jar&framework2.jar&services.jar&core.jar) here, and to see whether it is possible to get a quick fix running on this version of rom .
for some other international version of Note II. PLZ don't flash it directly(Right now it only passed the test on WCDMA devices and I have no idea what it will behaves on a CDMA device, but if there were enough time and request I will take a look into it also),to get gsm working properly only did I reworking days and nights on the same file(I did working on this patch for about 2 weeks at weekday's night before sleep) just because of some silly mistakes in the code, and to find it ,debugging such error, is kind of hell if you don't have the source code of the framework.

I don't really think there will be a universal one. Because each rom have there own modified version of framework files. get a single patch work on them all is somehow impossible.
So if you don't mind and would like to take a test, plz uplaod your framework file, and I would like to take a look and to see whether possible to get it work.

Well like for most common roms like arhd wanam phoenix alliance.
Isn't a vrtheme one possible or is it too deep modification.
I am ready to test it for wanam.
Also simplistic also installs framework files which adapt good enough to each and every rom I have tried... Maybe it would work universally.
I can try it perhaps. Just mod a stock dmc3 one or rather simplistic one.

also it would be really helpful if someone could provide me the framework files need to change(Is really not a good deal to get a gig file just for couple mgs files,esp in China lol)

This is a community forkable ROM, so feel free to use for your own projects as long as you give me credit!
Official GT-P5113 OTA with root, busybox, deodex, init.d, zipalign. ALL files from OTA are present. (Look, even those pictures and video are there!)
The point of this ROM is not to be small, but to be completely 100% stock and used for other projects, thus it has 0 debloat and is big (but no different than any other Stock Samsung OTA).
Install Instructions:
Use a custom recovery. I prefer TWRP. But there's also CWM.
Wipe Data/Cache/Dalvik Cache (Factory Reset) the installer automatically wipes System, but you can do that too if you're nervous.
Flash the zip on a 5113! People who know what they're doing say it works on a 5110 too!
If there are issues booting make sure you have the Jellybean bootloader installed. This is from the CM10 thread, I didn't make it.

Known Issues:
*Initial setup was wonky and I had to restart the tab a few times to get through it, but after that it's actually performing great! Might have been a fluke due to some choices I set during setup (like don't sync etc.).
*It seems to only work for people who know what they're doing.

Info for the old port in case people were wondering:
I took the stock ROM from SamMobile, Rooted and Deodexed and all that good stuff using @dsixda Android Kitchen, modified the build.prop, threw in a couple missing apks that the kitchen screwed up from @Tsjoklat MicroDelta Stock Based ROM, replaced a few files with ones from the GT-P5210 release (also SamMobile), and injected it with @ketut.kumajaya NEXT kernel and blobs so it would run on our tab!
Special Thanks: @ketut.kumajaya for reminding me to use his blobs or else I would have just given up on this.

Oh they work, I just had to take the ones from the 5210 so they would be set up for a 10" screen instead of a 7" screen. I'm just warning they may be buggy but they work.

Well thank you soo much for the effort,the rom was sluggish even without odex trash.I removed about 200 mb of apps from system and the rom is amazing now.
Only bug is the page indicator misplacement(behind the dock icons) in the launcher.

Yeah, cuz it was taken from the 5210 which doesn't have a nav bar, thus the icons became squished on our screen lol. I'm downloading the 5113 release right now but it will take a couple hours... Then I'll work on it and post the launcher so people can replace it on their own if they want to continue using the port idk...
Sorry to 5100 users I don't think I'll be porting the 3100 over after all since Samsung is finally starting to roll out 4.2.2 to the 10" you'll just have to wait. Or port it yourself. Just take a 3100 ROM, comment out the line in the build.prop that says ro.sf.hwrotation=270, and use kk's latest NEXT kernel and Blobs. That will make it boot but still have some problems with apps lol.

do you think you'd be releasing the rooted/deodexed 4.2.2 P5113 today? or is it gonna take a while?

Due to further ROM improvement I have cleaned and fully debloated SHAKATU PORT OF JB 4.2.2 FOR TAB 2 10.1" model P-5110. This approach will give all to you new kind of personalisation experiance and flavours.
So,what I have got out of it is proof stabile and battery friendly debloated and slightly enhanced version of SHAKATU port for GT-P5110 STOCK 4.2.2. VANILLA CLEAN ROM for our 5110 device.Everything unneccessery is removed and cleaned to achieve maximum performance..Less is more !
SPECIFICATIONS:
-Cleand and debloated - pure ultimate Vanilla experiance
-Based on Shakatu port jb 4.2.2 non-touched virgin version avaluable HERE
-Slightly added few lines in build.prop configuration file for better graphic experiance
-Modded media_profiles.xml for better viewing experiance and performance
-Modded default_gain.config file for better sound experiance (further I advise VIPER4ANDROID app)
-Removed audio folder in system/media ( can be additionaly manualy added if you preffered sounds and clicks )
-In system settings I have noticed crash in settings for Notification panel which is not result of my messings around this release but it comes from original port of ROM so any knowledge or solution to resolve this unpleasent behavour would be very apprecated for further users.
NOTES FOR PERSONAL UPGRADES :
For those who likes more in this release of ROM I recommend, due personal app preferences, to download any 4.2.2 compatibile shipped release or just this SHAKATUs port of p5110 avaluable HERE and unzip corrensponding apk (or file or folder ) rom that build and PUSH to system/app or corrensponding location in this ROM base.

I have tried succesfully to decompile base for 5113 but I messed up something with drivers so the most paintfull solution is to use Shakatus base with drivers for 5110 (because his expertise in it ) and do some "house cleaning" inside ROM. That kind of collaboration seems to work fine.I am working right now for that "notification panel" solution.

1.You need no drivers.p5113 is p5110,but with added IR blaster,everything else is same.And users of cm use p5110 builds as they are the same device.And p5113 patches only contain IR enable.
2.Just remove things from the zip using winrar
3.And if you dont understand what I have said, PM me and give me the tweaks you use so I make it right.

Indeed it seems that it has become popular ROM so I am looking to add other mirrors.I have tried with dev-host mirror but from some reason it does not upload.

Yes. that apps are in Shakatu's ROM or any 4.2.2. ROM. Do it as you prefered. AND DO NOT TO GIVE APPROPRIATE APP PERMISSIONS !

Well, here it is, I have a perfect 4.2.2 ROM for my usage. Thanx a lot ! I haven't notice any issur for now.

No. This is genuine stock release without mods. There are present features only from genuine 4.2.2. release. No mods. I have not found feature in stock release how to remove top status bar but if you like you could mod it further.

After a couple hour playing with this ROM I decided to reinstall all my tweaks. When I launched ADBlock I was surprised that there isn't root. I think I missed something...

ROM is properly rooted so maybe you should root again because your tweaks has deleted or modified bussybox or removed SU.
I did not encoured similar problem but I am sure that this is not related in anyway with ROM itself.

Yes I don't think so. Its may come from the zip mod I made. I'll flash it again this afternoon and look again the apk I putted in the zip file

I did flash today this rom, but unfortunately I have problem with microphone. Doesn't work under Skype software. Any one had same issue?

Drivers for hardware are intact and non modified.Perhaps try to flash other kernel rather then implentented one in this ROM.I presume that could be kernel issue.

Since the stock rom doesn't have enough credit on this forum I'm submitting something I just did for myself in case anyone may find this useful - plus I'm adding some small customizations to get the stock better and more complete (starting with AOSP Browser and Flash Player support).

4.23 bootloader is mandatory for this to work (also I suggest to make a FULL WIPE if you come from anything different from stock) - MD5 C40832B03800D929CBD45974F41EFB1E.
Both versions have been zipaligned, rooted with SuperSU (you need to flash latest version to make it properly work on 4.4.x, get the package here http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu) and include busybox and init.d support.
Stock 3.1.10-g4776c68 KERNEL, CWM flashable
download in case you want to revert back on the stock kernel after messing up around - MD5 BA31CF10D99053A895740F5F98CF8404
Missing system apps, CWM flashable
download to remove /system/app/BrowserProviderProxy.apk-odex and get back News and Meteo, Browser and Chrome Bookmarks Sync (for this 4.3 version is included because google is not providing an updated version anymore). These are deodexed apps (works on an ODEXED rom, don't worry) - to get the .odex files you can then flash this one (this is device specific).
NOTE that these apps are kind of deprecated (and probably Gallery and Launcher will also be added soon to the list) and are no longer being updated by Google in the factory releases. I'll do all I can to keep the versions updated.
Adobe Flash Player
Flash player is NO LONGER SUPPORTED in Android 4.4 Kitkat (not officially using Adobe app, you probably need a Browser with flash included).

All archives and apps are tested by myself on my grouper (Nexus 7 Wi-Fi only) - remember to clean Cache / Dalvik Cache from recovery AFTER applying any of the zips (especially for the ROM - Full Wipe needed if coming from a non-stock ROM, obviously) - and please check MD5 (where stated) before flashing... you are warned.

this is an ODEXED rom, so if you want back "AOSP BROWSER, BOOKMARK SYNC and GENIE WIDGET" you should flash JWR66Y_missingSystemApps_ODEX.zip

This is EXACTLY what I need. Thank you so much op. This aging tablet has been slowing down on me, so I need to do a full complete data wipe and reflash stock. I want this thing to have a little more pep in its step.

:good: pep in its step? Explain yourself anyway, this isn't intended as a GUIDE to flash stock. It's just a collection of useful flashable zip to set up an odexed stock rom with some fancy in it.

I personally use CWMR, so I don't know. Check the changelog for 2.6.3.1 to see if any crucial 4.4 fix is included

Strangley i can't seem to get this rom to boot, it has been on the boot animation for about 8 minutes so far.I'm using the latest boot loader and the latest cwm touch if that helps
Edit: Gave up waiting for it to boot after about 15 minutes without any luck. Sorry I can't give anymore info than that.

Have you wiped cache and Dalvik? Mine booted like a charm (dirty flashed on stock odexed 4.3)
