If you want to Edit the script to add/delete apps
- Download Notepad++ on your PC http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/
- Extract Zip and look for this file updater-script its on this location META-INF\com\google\android\
- Open Notepad++ and Edit this file updater-script you can add/remove lines just type the exact name of the apk
- Save the file and put the new updater-script back into the flashable zip

There's more to Knox than this.. I can't remember where I read it, but I seem to remember it being around 10 files more in two other folders that is Knox related. Can you include these so that everything Knox is removed? I'll see if I can find a list.

yes i did alot of testing , some files in /system/containers if u delete them the device dosent work properly

Also how stripped is the rom getting with your script? Any lost functionality, like the notepad in the pen menu?
Have you considered several versions like slim/superslim/barebone

i lost wifi direct function since it deleted allshare..
yes it require root cause it removing system app..and also u need custom recovery to flash this..

I've also had lost WIFi Direct (((( need it desperately!
And it seems like PUSH options too ( no push masseges icq, gmail, ect.
How can I fix it?

No. This script removes the files. You need to either flash the Rom (no wipe needed) then v3, or find the system apk and insert them. (I recommend flash the Rom, less hassle)
So I was gonna use this but don't want to lose some features that came with the phone. Is their anyway to know what t mobile stuff is removable without killing the phone. I froze a few but it froze my phone. Had to reflash.

What you want to look for is a non carrier branded rom.. Basically stock Samsung. That will remove t mobile stuff.
This on the other hand is a very nice debloater, but it will remove a lot of stuff. A Lot of stuff. V03 does sound like it's gonna be perfect, but if you're not into fully debloat, perhaps this is not your best solution. This cleans everything Samsung, but only what's not needed for essential functionality.
Most people run a favourite music player. This script removes the stock one. Most people like to have Dropbox from play store. This removes Dropbox. Few hardcore users use Samsung account, this removes it. Etc etc
Does the debloating affect any of the stuff they added onto the roms? like the smart stay, rotate, stuff like that? Reading through the apk's that get removed i don't really see anything that might disrupt regular function of the phone itself on the list, but i just wanted to confirm

After seeing Calkulin's EViO ROM with his full-color notification bar icons, I've decided to make my own in a standalone format to be used with most** ROMs.
I made serious effort to match the icons with their larger counterparts found throughout the stock HTC ROM (I run SprintLovers and am OCD about everything matching...). This is a continuous work in progress, subscribe to this thread for future updates.

The attached zip files are to be used with MetaMorph (download it from the market if you're not familiar), DO NOT try to flash them through recovery. I've separated the the core system files (framework, resources, settings) to ensure stable and consistent operation. Just download them and run them one by one through MetaMorph, your phone will most likely reboot after each (if it doesn't, do it manually to ensure a fresh starting point for the next MetaMorph).

**This is tested and works fine on SprintLovers, and other users have reported it also works fine with various other ROMs. However, I can't guarantee it will be the same for every individual combination of ROM/hacks/edits/etc. (there's just too many variables in most cases), so be smart and nandroid backup before you try it.

No problem...the signal bars are in the Resources file...just download it, open the zip, navigate to "com.htc.resources/res/drawable-hdpi" and delete whatever icons you don't want to change, then just run that modified zip file through MetaMorph
This is cool.. QUESTION: Does it require that I run each zip, or can I just run the ones I want to change? For example, can I only run the Colors Apps zip and be ok?

Yeah...each of the files are independent so run whichever ones you want to change...furthermore, follow my post above if you want to only change specific icons within one of the zip files.

Are you guys using the free version of Metamorph? I just downloaded it and ran the coloredresources.zip. I applied all, and it said it was complete. It didn't auto-reboot, so I manually rebooted and nothing has changed. I then tried to run the coloredframework.zip and it's been about 5 minutes on the screen where the circle spins(showing activity) and it displays "Applying framework.res.apk theme 1 of 1... Any ideas why it's doing this?
If it helps, I'm running the latest Sprint Lovers ROM, HW003.

Strange...I'm running paid version of MetaMorph, but this ran fine on the free version as well...in the settings of MetaMorph, try setting the delay to 3000 (default), and then apply the zip again...it will take a while to apply Resources and Framework because there's a lot of icons to change and the more apps you've got running at the same time, the slower it will be...normal installation should only take a minute or 2 max...
Thanks again.. I didn't change anything(already had the default of 3000). I ran the Resources zip again and it auto-rebooted and the changes were successful. Same for the Colored Apps zip. I tried the Framework zip again and it still seemed to hang. I'll play around with it a few more times.
Awesome man. I'd like to include these in my rom possibly. I just don't want to include it until it's finished. When it's done, I'll definitely consider putting these in.
I am on Fresh 3.5.0.1 and the framework one put me into a bootloop.

Strange, sorry to hear that...I don't have any experience with Fresh so I don't know if Fresh's native framework is different enough than SprintLovers to cause this...only thing I could think of is that my framework also includes slightly modified icons for JsChiSurf's drop-down widget control (forgot to mention that in my original post) but I wouldn't think that'd cause a bootloop? (you'd just have extra unused icons in your framework)
Might also be a bad upload/download?...I can re-post tonight and add checksums so you can verify.
I'm still somewhat new to dev work, so maybe someone with more experience could chime in...

I am not sure what is in the Framework, I may just rip up the zip and take a look. Other ones seemed to work fine.
It was weird, its not really a bootloop, it just keeps playing my start animation over and over and wont actually boot. Tried wiping cache and dalvic, didn't help.
Good thing I took a backup

Yeah, go ahead and hack away at the framework zip...maybe try deleting all but one icon or so and see if that will apply? Let me know if you find anything that I need to fix...I don't want to cause similar problems for everyone...

I believe you need to be deodex'ed to use this, but I'm not an expert...either nandroid backup and try it or do some more research (maybe a more knowledgeable dev can chime in?)...sorry for a wishy-washy answer, just being straight with you.

I use search. I am trying to get the creator to make me an icon from this set, he said he would get to it. might take some time, just deal with it for the time being

for some reason this MIGHT remove your google accounts, just add them back it if does. I'm not sure why it does

Thanks for the Mod but I would add in the original post that you should backup your SystemUI.apk file before you do this as this Mod will replace it. Can't remember the abd commands to back up a file but it is just as easy to make a copy using Root Explorer or other file manager with root access.

Unfortunately I've seen too many people not do a backup just because it wasn't in the instructions. Here's teh command for making a bakup copy of SystemUI.apk using adb.
cp SystemUI.apk SystemUI.bak
(This copies the original file and creates a file with the extention .bak)

Can you not just copy from the system?
cp /system/app/SystemUI.apk /sdcard
That should work right? I always just use adb pull /system/app/SystemUI.apk and keep them on my PC, so never used busybox commands.

Sneak peek at 3g ICS theme. only have systemui themed right now. Next are both frameworks(1000+ icons), then settings, and launcher, then phone. Then i'll probably theme the badic apps launcher icons. Will include ics clock font, but not roboto system font. I like the default dont on this device. Also some sounds and i will look into boot animation. I hope more people are interested in this than were on Dell streak 7

your update binary also has to be updated for 3.2, and make sure your mounting dev/block/mmcblk0p8 /system , ahh I'd just kang someones or search for the updater.zip creator windows programs.

Btw, did you by chance fix the bug where the why logo shifts to the left slightly when the activity indicator for data transfer is on. Its not deal breaker, but it did bug me a bit.
Yes I did. I had never noticed that until the other day, So until I figure out why its doing that I went back to stock wifi indicator. Being Christmas I'm away for a few days and ill get the ICS wifi back in there once I get home.
I have been asked by the developer to start a Kindle Fire thread as we have just worked together on porting his theme to our great device. I have built the latest port with his help so I am able to answer most questions. As BroBot updates his I will port the build to the Kindle.

What is it?

Hi I built it for CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RCO-Blaze-KANG Rom which I found to be the best working rom for the kindle fire. Flash the rom then the theme in Clockwork I have included a link to the rom below.

If you're coming from a STOCK ROM then use this version to flash. It will wipe the data and cache partitions (as well as the system partition) as a part of the flash process which should get rid of any FC issues.

If you're upgrading from an EXISTING CM7 install then use this ROM instead. This one will NOT wipe the cache and data partitions which should mean that you can upgrade from one version of CM7 to another without losing any of your existing data (or that's at least the idea)

Once the system has been flashed you need to set a lot of bits up, takes about an hour from here
Firstly follow all the all the steps on BroBots175 site from Step 3 http://brobot175.co.uk/MetroUI/Setup3.html and I promise it will work.
In short you need to download and copy the MetroUITiles and paste it on your SDCARD, then restore the ADW settings with the "adw_settings" file in the download. Then install an app called "Desktop VisualizeR" from Google Play on your device and and set up Desktop VisualizeR with the settings BroBot175 recommends. Once all this is done you need to make a load of widgets that becomes each of the individual tile. Over and over again.

yeah i understand I have to make those things but my confusion is coming from what does flashing that zip do like if nothing changes then what's the point in flashing that zip? Also the first link provided can I use that to flash and start over like factory wipe then flash that zip in first link?

To answer the first question; Ah I understand mate, I didn't get it last night until I worked on the Kindle port today. When building the theme it uses the roms system files and frameworks to allow extra option to appear in the options once you start adding the tiles (Widgets) and allows the system to align the tiles together correctly.
Second question; yes mate thats what I did after I tested it and knew it worked.

If you look at my screenshots the bar at the bottom has metro style home back and other icons and the notification pannel also
you change these images by flashing the theme as these images are in the framework-res.apk and the systemui.apk
I got lazy and didnt do it because for cm7 I had to rename all the images so they would work with your device.
With what youve done you dont really need to flash the zip for it to work unless you just want to install desktop visualised.

Só this is just a theme, the live tiles is made using desktop visualizer right
Correct the reason there is a flash install process is to change the theme of the cm7 UI to match the metro style and add special Widgets. You could keep the ui the same and make the tiles by adding the metroui folder and using visualized app so you don't need to flash.

Hi mate I have sent you an email but for anyone else email me and ill send you the build.prop file. If you already have one just follow these steps.
To get this to work for me I didn't overwrite the file as it does not work for some reason.
1st – Backup your original build.prop in the /system folder to somewhere but keep a copy there still as we are going to edit this.
2nd – Copy my build.prop to your sdcard
3rd – Long press on my file and open and edit in text editor or equivalent, select all text and copy.
4th – Exit the file and navigate to your /system folder activate rw access at the top of the screen so you can edit the file.
5th – Open your build.prop and select all text then delete, once deleted paste the text from my build.prop file you should now see the device name says a GT 1000 etc
6th – Close the file and it should ask you to save it, disable rw back to ro and exit file browser.
7th – Reboot your device and once your back in go to menu/settings/about and see if your device name has changed to the GT 1000 if it has exit and open google play type in "gameloft" and all the games should now show and allow you to install.
If this helps you mate please thank me on the forum, I am new to the forum and I am trying to build my credibility up.

There are a few ways you can look at this, if you just want to add the Metro them icons to your screen just download the image pack in BroBots175 step 3 and install appalizer then set it up. the only reason to flash the rom is to give your cm7 interface buttons the metro look (i.e. back button, menu button etc), however you don't need to.
I don't know why the build.prop files does not work when you just overwrite the file? maybe it's signed in someway? I do know that it works in the way that I described so thats how I do it.

There are 2 launchers . One stock (certainly themed) and 1 jelly bean launcher .
-Stock launcher is being mentioned in loopy smoothness tweak . though I feel Jb launcher will be as smooth as stock also .
Swap needs to be done by the user . It will act as a virtual memory . Refer to tutorial below for having a swap partition .
If you face issues like phone stopped working in AOSP RC8 than please switch to RC7 as Thats the most I had pushed . I failed to fix that .
After the first boot wait a few seconds . Let the phone do some necessary things in first startup . After 30 seconds almost you can use it .
To contribute to rom download the open source package . It contains all modification I did to rom . For questions and everything consult this thread HERE .
To remove ad blocking host file please delete /system/etc/hosts
NEVER UPDATE THE HOLO LOCKER !!! . Else you'll loose the AOSP lockscreen .

[GUIDE] HOW TO ENABLE SWAP
-After a successful flash and reboot Go into recovery again .
-Go to ADVANCE .
-Select Partition ext-SD card . Remember !! Don't partition the SD card . You have to partition ext-SD . Partitioning the SD card will result in hard brick . Remember EXT-SD card is to be partitioned .
-Select 64mb or 128mb not more than it .
-Touch twice it will show done .
-Reboot into phone now .
-Download this app .
-Just press the on button . And when you see everything ok . Close the app .
REMEMBER : Whenever you connect your Phone to PC you need to go into that app and select off . Else phone will not mount .

I've tried your ROM twice so far and each time I am missing the Phone and the Peoples (Contacts) apps. I reverted back to a backup I made before I tried your ROM though. Not sure why those apps are missing. I did think that your ROM seemed very smooth though.

Yup. Same thing happened to me ttoo. I had to go back to stock rom. Also its missing Microsoft Exchange support.
I use two other apps by ritesh sahu from Google market. Call log restore and sms restore. On this rom those apps will not read the backup xml files. But same xml files works fine on the stock rom. Hopefully its a minor bug you can fix. Again thanks for a bloat free rom. I will tray again.

Same here, missing the Phone and Contacts apps also felt the ROM pretty smooth.
Okay let me clear few things :-
1. For those who are missing the contacts and the phone app :- This happened with me also . But the link i uploaded Always worked for me . I always flash rom twice before uploading . I won't be giving anyone a bad things . . Theres something bad with phone and contacts itself . Somehow i made them work . They will work like a charm . And if they aren't working than Flash the patch i'm giving . That will revert stock phone and contacts back . Rom will be buttery smooth . trust me .
sorry for any issues you are suffering . wait 4-5 hours more . I'll give the fix package .

It's cool bro, I'm just reporting. Now flashed version 1.2 (found the link in "other" forum) and everything works great, just having a little problem with Whatsapp, seems like I can't verify my phone number with them (maybe not ROM related). Anyways, will stick with your ROM. Thanks for your work. :highfive:

Than you please download gizmolord 2.0 B . That has been fixed 3 hours ago . 2.0 A is 98% done . 5 minutes more for 2.0 A . But my recomendation for you is download 2.0 B , becuase that will give no issues just have to compromise with stock phone n contacts look :/ .

How did you to both get past this issue to get the ASOP phone and contacts to work? I have tried both 1.0 and 1.2 numerous times, each time it is missing those apps. I am downloading 2.0B right now just so I can use this ROM and still be able to use the phone. Would like to be able to use the ASOP apps though.

see what i actually did is deleted contacts.apk , contactsprovider.apk . Than replaced them with AOSP rom one . ( I used from F1-galaxy for S2 ) . Than when i boot the phone i get error contacts storage error : / I got pi**ed off by that . Than i investigated a lot and what i did to solve problem is deleted syncmlserivce.apk ,syncmlclient.apk , syncmlprovider.apk , /framework/com.....syncmlshared.jar and deleted /etc/permissions/com...syncmlshared.xml . Than It worked for me . When i edit any file ! Any file ! I get missing phone and contacts in rom also . Most of my time i get missing phone n contacts in rom . I build many times debug many times and upload only the one i get phone and contacts in every flash . All roms are kinda perfect for me , except 1.2 . But i get phone and contacts everytime . I flashed my device 3-3 times completely . Fully new flash . And got phone n contact everytime that one rom i uploaded only . If you are not getting i recommend to experiment yourself inside the phone itself . I'm attaching the contacts and contactsprovider.apk from f1 galaxy S2 at&t rom . You delete the files from es file manager and than paste those .change permission rw-r-r if worked well If not i'm kinda helpless . Even i'm using Variant B because I need call log . Which sometimes we don't get in variant A :/ also we get that error phone stopped working after disconnect of the call . The rom works like charm and phone and contacts too sometimes it behaves weird just :/

Im having trouble moving apps to media storage. App2sd and link2sd didnt do the trick. Wiped dalvik, did factory reset, even wiped the internal media storage with no luck. Any time i tried to move an app it wouldnt let me. This is a deal breaker for me since i have a lot of apps(Mostly games for my daughters) which are quite heavy. If it helps i flashed directly from estabien's 3.1 rom. I really wanted to test this rom out, I like the customization you did to it, guess ill have to wait till i can sort this out.

How to install:
First of all: make a nand backup in recovery, so you can easily go back if you don't like it!!!
Download the zip file that match to your device and copy to sd card.
Wipe/format data/system/cache/dalvik cache, factory reset.
Flash the zip through recovery.
Htcdev.com unlocked users who are not S-Off have to extract boot.img from the zip file and flash it afterwards over fastboot with the command:

Then reboot.
Some things also to mention:
- There is no superuser/su inside, if you wanna root, flash superuser from here.

someone can do this with last ICS? becaus i think this is problem with updating from ICS to JB ( JB update signature ) so i think writing this JB on bricked ICS is reason why i can't use OTA

This is thought for people who like it stock. There are no mods inside.
In germany there were people who deleted by accident their system partition.
To help people for that i made the one for k2_u and thought i'll do it for k2_ul too.
They are made from system dumps, but the k2_ul is not the most actually one (but better than nothing).
They are also for me a start, to see if it works. Then i maybe can try to build up on this my first custom rom. As i'm no dev and that all is new, i have to make small steps.
By the way: i think for those people who like it stock and only want to remove some things from system, they can try to remove it from the zip and see if flashing works (as long as we don't have a kernel without write protection) but only, if they know how to do without breaking something. But i'm not totally sure about this, so people have to test themselves.
That's why i called it "Test"-ROMs. To have something, we can play with. :laugh:
And for the builds on androidfiles.org it looks like ics for me. But maybe jmz can bring light into it.

1 . Tried to dl your rom to try it, it didn't work out. I tried it from 2 different computers/modems, it takes ages and stop at one point.... file is too big I guess.
2. I have the latest OTA installed on my K2_UL... what exactly do you want ? How do you do a system dump ?

For the dump:
Phone should be in Android, Usb Debugging on, adb should be working, then type in command window of your adb folder:
adb pull /system
This will copy all system files into adb folder.

I just did a factory reset before making it, in case you wonder.

Fine! Factory reset would not be necessary i think, because system still has write protection.
Anyway thanks a lot for it. I will add now mirrors for the links in first post.
Its really hard (if you have no premium account) to upload a filesize more than 500 mb as free user.
Just tried it, it's working great, no problem (for now).
I'm going to start plating with it (removing a lot of stuff, even sense launcher or tings like that) to see how it goes.

Fyi, according to Sir Google, wiper.apk seem to be some kind of HTC background task manager. If battery life proves to be shorter, maybe that's the cause.

I have heard it should "help" to get quicker gps for Us people by network location, but who knows...?
We will see if it cause some problems.
I spent some time playing with it this afternoon.
I deleted a bunch of things to see how it'd go and got some things ****ed up, so I'll do it the other way around now (deleting slowly and checking everytime !).
Bloatware's gone, for a start, and that's cool.
Really happy not to see Google+ and Facebook in my apps list anymore
Wiper is still a problem, don't know why though. I tried to take the deodexed version from JMZ ics stock rom, but it didn't work out.
I'm thinking wiper.apk could be the power saving notification/switch, do you have it when you use your rom ? I don't...
If someone (maybe you, old. splatterhead) running stock JB and S-off could try to freeze wiper.apk to see if he still gets the notification afterwards, that'd be awesome.
I'll try to cook up something ultralight yet fully fonctionnal sometime soon.

I already did one by just putting my system dump files in /system/ and the boot.img from a cwm backup (even if it probably is the same). It works as well as yours from what I've seen.
Careful there's superuser.apk in it, but it is useless.
By the way, would you have a topic or webpage in store for some basic knowledge about :
- what's in a ruu
- how one makes a cwm flashable zip
- different uses of cwm

Maybe you can try my version too, to get sure it is ok, before i make it public. Will send you the link by pm.
You can use an existing zip and edit updater script in it or you can create them also with dsixas kitchen. As i'm writing from my phone i have actually no links but search for "edit updater script" and you will find a lot.
