Tip: How to increase sound volume on Tab 3 - Galaxy Tab 3 General

Hi,
After trying out many apps and messing around for days to "boost" the volume of the headphone connection with no success, I found this tip for the Note 2... and guess what... works on our Tab 3 as well....
See here (add http ... I can't add external links yet)
galaxy-note2.wonderhowto.com/how-to/music-not-loud-enough-heres-increase-volume-limits-your-samsung-galaxy-note-2-0144571/
Your device needs to be rooted to be able to change the file with the settings, but that is easy... see the respective threads for your tab.
I changed the values for my Tab 3 8.0 to "57" in all 4 places and now the volume is perfect.
Try it yourself....

Cool Trick works good
Thanks:good:

+1 for this, it is annoying.

Been trying for two days to fix this 'feature' but they have changed the file position of the code and am having trouble finding it. Oh well at least I've learnt everything I ever wanted to know about decompiling/ recompiling . lol
I'm gonna try again in a few days once my sister has gone home as this is the first time in a year I've seen her in a year.
Wish me luck
i'm also looking for a way to disable increasing ring tone , also find it very annoying .
Try headset button controller
Not sure if this is actually a fix but just did some quick informal testing and seems to work: install app headset button controller and under advanced options set the default volume when plugging in headphones to 65% or above. If someone else can verify this it would be awesome.

Good try but when plugging my headphone in with this active, the device notices the volume change and the warning comes straight up.
Thanks anyway.
Ah yes, after I rebooted and plugged in I got the warning. However it seems to only be an issue the first time after reboot, then looks like it's good to go. Just don't reboot
Not sure if it applies to this phone as I sport note 4 and am only browsing, but in absence of xposed mod, I use tasker. Also free app 'hearing saver' from play store works for me.

I've already tried this. Needs smali edit. But I've been unable to find the code for this function.
edgarf28 has managed to accomplish this in his ROM and I have requested a point in the right direction or even a flashable version (bit cheeky I know) he has also managed to incorporate 5 way reboot that I would really like help with to. Might have to go and beg him again .lol

I already did this it seem to ho quite smoothly but still having problems with getting 5 way and disabling safe volume.
Just need a bit of help to finish getting my device perfect.
Problem is theres not much ROM deving on 925f at the moment. I know this will pick up. I'm just impatient
I've been searching everywhere for a way to disable this volume warning. Has anyone figure it out and posted instructions? I see it in a couple custom ROMs but I haven't found how it is done.

I've simply flashed the alliance ROM. Very happy
In general, this issue still bothers me. At least in my car, in which I use an auxilliary cord, I've an NFC tag programmed to open Spotify and turn media volume all the way up using NFC Tasks/Tools. At least for me, this works to get past the warning initially, and is useful when I need to unplug then plug back in.
I would love to see a general fix that doesn't require rooting my phone; that sanctimonious popup drives me bonkers.
If youll go to the music player on your phone. Click settings, then click smart volume on. Try it out. Works for me on my s6

Need help about S-pen, LED notifs, and other few things...

Hi, I just finish the Note 20 Ultra configuration, but there are some shadows zones....
Sorry for the lenght of the message, but I really don't know where I can ask these questions and I know here is the best place to do it.
First of all, the S-Pen.
I'm used to Samsung's Note line. My last Smartphone was a Note 9, and all worked perfectly.
This time, with the S-pen, I wanted to do things such as write an express note when the screen is off. I can't . I tested all the settings, unfortunately I only managed to get the express note screen once. Since then, aod or not, when I remove the s-pen, nothing happens. Same thing, when I press on the s-pen button and try to 'touch' 2 times the screen, I see the "Create a note" button, but same : nothing happens when I touch it.
Even with all the settings activated/deactivated, all I tried, nothing happens.
LED notifications and apps that do't work correctly
I was affraid to see that this phone don't have a LED for the notifications, at least, not natively.
I tried 2 or 3 apps, especially aodNotify, but none worked correctly. I found one that is almost ok, "LED Me Know", but I wish I use the aodNotify app. Don't know why it doesn't want to work with me.
Third thing : Good Lock and change side of the clock on the status bar.
May be it's because I'm in France, but this app is not on the Galaxy store, and when I download it manually and install it, it tells me "Sorry, we encountered a server or network error..."... And I can't use it. At all.
Is it a region thing ? Or may be an Exynos thing ?
I also wanted to root the phone : impossible for know apparently, same for any Theme making app lile #Hex_ or #Hexed_...
I can't even replace the clock in the right side like I always do.
I had a custom rom on my Note 9 (Ultimate Rom), and I could do it simply.
Now, the only method that seems working is using Good Lock, then download 'Quick Star panel' (something like that) and change the side of the clock. Cannot do. ?
I hope all my little issues are just due to the fact that Android 10 and this phone are brand new, and we just have to wait a bit to do all these things, to root it simply, install Custom roms etc etc are easy to do....
Otherwise I'm the one who has a big problem...
Ok. Basically, thank you for reading my novel ?
I hope someone would have the courage to help me or reassure me on these few things....
Thank you, take care, bye

Edge Panel Rarely Works

Hi all,
I've been searching all over the Internet but I can't find any solution.
The edge panel on my Z Fold 2 is correctly enabled in the settings with a handle position on the right side of my screen. Screenshots attached (they're in Dutch, but everything enabled as you can see)
When I try to use it, it only works like 1% of the time. Most of the time, nothing happens.
Is anyone else facing this issue? Does anyone know how to solve this?
Many thanks in advance!
Try disabling all power management... destroyer of worlds.
Clear system cache.
If you've done any major firmware updates... factory reload time.
I had to turn on touch sensitivity. Also, I use 3 different things too get the desired options, edge panel for shortcuts and paired apps, one handed operation for direct access to certain apps/functionality, and an app called panels so I can group certain app# together (like work apps on 1, personal apps on a different one, etc)

Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately, neither work. Even when using the display edge panel functionality in one handed operations +, the edge panel just won't show really lost on what's causing the issue and what could solve it
Is the problem on both front and inside screen? Does playing with the touch width on the one handed app make a difference?

I wasn't suggesting One Handed Operation plus would fix the Edge panel* but rather replace it.
I had issues with the Edge panel for a while on my 10+, it works fine now. Play with it.
Even works with One Handed Operation plus.
Try clearing it's data.
Make sure all power management is disabled including any 3rd party ones as they will mess it up.
*I use for the cut/paste panel but that's about it
Thanks again to both!
@blackhawk, I understood correctly, played with power management settings, cleared data and tried emgee's suggestion, but nothing works. I'll keep on playing with the settings until I hopefully find a working solution, really strange, don't get what's going on. Thanks again to both for the quick reactions and suggestions.
Maybe interaction & dexterity setting or there's an app or somewhere that lets you define areas of the screen for certain functions and/or not doing anything when touched [email protected] you're always good with what things are called what/where is that.. I'll keep looking/trying.... Edge touch.. Not sure if it's still available but you can find it on samsung apksb or through fine lock which is an alternate way to launch good lock apps

You're welcome.
Make sure touch protection isn't interfering.
You'll get it working... eventually.
Lol it's a game,

I finally found the solution!
The clue is to swipe up from the bottom of the screen first and then the edge panel works.
I hadn't noticed this yet, since I replaced the controls to the right side with edge gestures, that's why I never noticed.
Still not sure why I need to swipe up first, but it finally works

Question How to swap buttons, show network speed etc

Hi everyone,
I just bought the Pixel 7 Pro and rooted it. I am coming from a Oneplus 7 Pro and there are few thing I would like to change to make my phone closer to what I am used to, maybe using root or a module?
Swap back and recent buttons, I use the back button a lot more and I often use my phone with one hand which makes it hard to reach, is there a way to swap those buttons? (fixed with AOSPMods)
Show network speed in status bar, this is a great way for me to know when I am having internet issues (fixed with AOSPMods)
Change audio output device – on the oneplus I can stay connected to my bluetooth speaker but output sound from the phone's speaker just by using the menu that shows when I press the volume button, is there a way to do that here?
Is there a way to remove the widget at the top of the home page? I do not care for it
Is there a way to move the google search bar to the top of the home page screen?
Change the quick setting from internet to just wifi (I often toggle wifi on and off, having it merged with data is a pain)
Double tap to turn off on home screen (AOSPMods allowed me to have it on lock screen but not home)
Let me know if there are hidden settings or other tricks that I am missing to achieve these
Thank you!
1. You can't 2. You can't, 3. I don't know. 4 No. 5. No.
I hear you on the navigation buttons. My Samsung Galaxy S21U let me swap the back and menu buttons but it appears the Pixel does not (at least not without rooting or with a custom rom).
This drove my crazy at first, but I ended up just switching to gesture navigation and it's actually really grown on me.
As for your bottom two questions, I personally prefer Nova Launcher and I know that both are possible with Nova. I'll let others advise whether it's possible with the native Google launcher.
Root + AOSPMods (XDA thread) can enable point #2 and probably others.

Do I need Xposed? I remember on my OP7Pro that Xposed did not pass safetynet, did that change?
It worked, with AOSPMods I was able to swap the buttons and show network speed!
Still looking for the rest and:

LSPosed is required. Everything is system-less and I'm able to pass safetynet with the mods installed.

Question config.txt & config.ini entries and macrodroid trigger

Three questions in this one.
1. In my config.txt there is an entry:
ro.fyt.splitscreen=0
Can anyone confirm what it does? I have attempted value of 1 and 2 (assumed it may not have been binary) but there is no result. I was hoping that it would force a split screen to stay a split screen when awakening. I have looked in the skipkillapp.prop but didn't see anything particularly relevant.
2. Continuing on from question 1, I have attempted to use Macrodroid to create a split screen which worked under Macrodroid test conditions but I cannot find a trigger that will run the macro in real life scenarios. I have attempted triggers of power on, screen on, wake from sleep, charging on and a few others. I have my Headunit set to sleep in factory settings. I could probably get the trigger to piggyback off my bluetooth connection to my phone but I would like something more instant. Does anyone have success in getting Marcodroid to trigger from a head unit screen on / wake up when the car powers up?
3. In the config.ini there are mic vol and mic level. What is their role in that file? They don't seem to overwrite the config.txt values for mic as changes in config.txt for mic change mic response. There is also reference to GOC-Android in Config.ini... Any ideas?

For 1): Sorry to give a non-helping answer here, but I don't know either. I wondered about that one myself and also searched 4pda extensively, but can't find anything.
2) This will not work. As of Android 10 apps are not allowed to do a split-screen, only the user him/herself. It is a new security feature. (And then adding to 1): Maybe the ro.fyt.splitscreen still worked on the sc9853i Android 8.1 versions. I will get my device back on power on the bench.)
3) config.ini? Which config.ini? I searched the latest Joying and Mekede firmware and can't find a config.ini.

1. You were helpful. You confirmed to me that the info is not easily obtainable. I've several hours that I have spent today looking for this and learning other things andf made a list of items where I need to learn and research more. This item will now go further down the list. So thank you.
2. It does work already when I trigger from within Macrodroid. The issue is that I can't find an auto trigger in macrodroid what works when I turn on a screen. For a moment forget that I want split screen. I just want Macrodroid to dop *something* when the screen comes on when I start the car.
I can't find what turning on the head unit triggers in macrodroid. Something must happen in the head unit OS that macrodroid can see, I would have thought.
3. I think I have answered this one already. Theshortcut was found in oem/apps. The config seems to be denoting what server or service it should look for for certain info. I have translated the chinese text and it makes sense now.
Attached is the config.ini with chinese characters and then below the end is the translated to english.
I'll put this here more for a reference for me.
thanks for replying.

Thanks.
It must be created or copied somehow at the moment of flashing, or first boot or maybe on every boot. I can't find it in any of the partitions in the firmware.
When I look in the firmware system.img (system.new.dat.br) it is a symlink to "config.ini -> /oem/config.ini", but the oem is freshly created on flashing and than "filled" with the AllAppUpdate.bin apps.
