Kind of off topic but those included Samsung headphones sound actually pretty good. I liked the ones that came with my S4, sounds much better than the usual crap that's included with phone purchases nowadays.

My S3 came with them. Actually right on AT&T site it says what's in the box and headphones are not listed. I thought it was kind of ridiculous since the phone wasn't cheap. That's ok though.

You say that but I may be forced to get a T-Mobile gnote3 because as of right now there are no unlocked non carrier phones compatible with USA lte. Hspa+ is decent in town, but I just moved to an apartment where the atnt hspa is barely acceptable for voice. Forget about decent data speeds. May as well be on sprint. My folks house is about a mile and they're slightly better than what T-Mobile and atnt are transmitting my area.
Thanks for the video and making me even more jealous. As for headphones, Verizon does NOT include them, hasn't the GS3, GS4, GN2, and NOT in the GN3. So yeah, we get screwed by the masters of CHEAP.

Well, how cheap is cheap?
I have no idea how things are done in the US, but here in Holland, when you buy a phone with contract, at the end of the line it's never cheaper than when you wait a couple of months (after the pre-order period) and buy an unlocked, unbranded one (after some research, since there are tons of online and normal shops to compare from)...
Off course that the pre-order period, is a totally different ball game.
I am exercising will power and not being in a hurry...

Sorry whats wrong with the atrix? The screen is one thing. It's better for text, worse for solid colors, but seriously, the atrix, trash? No.
It's going to be a universal launch. Unlocked, all carriers, One price.
Koodo on tab, Virgin available for super tab, 3 yrs for all others, or straight up around 550.
It's pretty neat, but no superphone.
Did you try one? I actually picked one up from Bell on release day and used it for a week to see if I would make the switch. The result was a resounding no... it's just sluggish and choppy because of Motoblur. It's a typical case of good hardware, terrible software and execution. I could give you a detailed review of the shortcomings but that's not really the scope of this thread so... yay nexus =)

I'm considering to buy a long lasting phone and Nexus S seem to be good, do you think it will survive over 2 years without casing? I'm good at caring phone, my current Sony Ericsson G900 is already over 2 years old and still functioning perfectly (it looks worn out clearly) and most people who have my phone broke within a year.
Nexus S is going to be my first Android phone, only thing that I don't like that you can't enable or disable flash in camera mode, it will decide if it should flash or not by it own. The design seem awkward but I could handle it.
I'm also considering Incredible S but it doesn't have enough developers and it's still locked, so I guess I should go for Nexus S.

It depends of what you talking about ? If hardware wise maybe and Evo 3D , htc sensation or SGSII but about updates most likely this one , any phone that is in the market and is a high end device most likely get ice cream(next big update for android) , nexus s most likely get it before anyone else(besides maybe nexus 3) google is trying to get manucfactures to make sure their phones they get updates within 18 months since launch but first they havent sign a form or paper that says they will second they haven't said for how long after google releases the update they need to release it as well so for all I know they could take 6 months( Evo is getting official gingerbread after 6 months, rolling out June 6, and the Evo was one of the best android phones in 2010 and a best carrier phone ) So I would stick with google if you want timely updates , that's one of the reason I got Me a nexus s
He is talking about the phone durability and yes, I would say it should last 2 years. It's made of plastic but it's not poor quality, it's much better then the galaxy S.
Since its a Google phone, you can't go wrong on picking it, it will always have the up-to-date software and will always have developers, even after 3 years (well, unless its about hardware limitation).
Its currently one of the best (if not the best) single core devices on the market, its definitely future proof.
And the camera does have the ability to turn the flash on or off, depending on your preferences.
The design is gorgeous btw, at least I think it is. The curve form is unique and when the display is turned off it looks completely black and clean, I think it looks very elegant.

Though I never need any repairs in past, so hopefully it will be same for Nexus S.

Or, if you can't wait, then just get the GSII. Its what the nexus s shoulda been lol [just the only major letdown is...Touchwiz :'(] plus its available in the motherland, no?

*sigh* I don't know why t mobile insists on dogging the mytouch line. The mt3g was high end for its time, same with the mt4g and mt4gs. Now its like they've dropped them down to bottom of the barrel phones. Hate to say it, but I have seriously been considering the gs2.

The only real reason I have not is because of money. Those phones ain't cheap, and unless I have a real need for that phone (which I don't), its not really worth it to me to spend it. Also, my contract is up on father's day, so I will probably get a nice upgrade for cheap then. I can wait.

My upgrade is around the same time. If the GS III launch is anything like the GS II, it'll hit the states months after the rest of the world. I may buy a Galaxy Note and flash the radio that works with T-Mobile to tide me over until the GS III or something else comes along. Then I will have two awesome phones.

good for you. I am used to it... I was with Virgin Mobile before I came to T-mo and if you think T-mo is bad. *shudder* At least T-mo releases updates... In the history of VM there has been 1 update. 1 and only 1. To a outdated phone to an outdated os... So I personally can live with having a phone have 0 updates or go to it's end of life... There is always dev support.
Also people complaining of lack of dev support... There are lots of devs here compared to a lot of other phones...

Yea I saw the specs on the new mytouch made by hanwei man 5 mp camera 720 recording ... yuck ... I think ill stay with my mt4gs ... I like it alot . So until the next big thing i doubt ill get rid of it

I have a refurb one in black no issues at all it's like if i bought it new and they do look brand new as well been on it for a week and a half and no issues whats so ever very stable stock to bad it came with MF3 on it already, but it's worth buying it!

I just added a line and got one for my wife, I'll sell her S3 and use that money to buy out her first line. Total money spent $30, S3 will sell for $200, buying out other line $82. I just ordered one as well. I was really trying to see what kind of deposit I thought I'd have to pay. They've always asked me for one. I was surprised & they approved me this time. I even got an iPhone 4 w/ 8 Gig for .99 cents.
I went and got it because of this deal. I really didn't want to upgrade yet, but my Nexus S is really starting to show its age (bless its heart). Custom ROMs can only take you so far with a device that old. I really don't want an S4 (hardware buttons including the ugly physical home button, front Samsung branding, little dev community support compared to my Nexus S), but the deal was too good to pass up. I guess I could sell this for $400-450 (maybe more?) by the time the next Nexus phone is out. Anyway, I can't wait for it to arrive so I can experience some of that 1080p Gotdamoled goodness. I may even keep it if the bootloader situation and community support gets better.

I also came from a nexus s... Mine was the sprint ns4g variant. Haven't looked back. It was a total night and day difference between the phones. My ns4g has been reduced to a bare bones cm7.1 mp3 player.

An opinion is one thing, but dont bad mouth the community. There are developers busting their asses working on roms for free, show some respect. Or better yet learn to do something yourself

I see, you seem to think I was talking about the community. I wasn't. I was badmouthing Samsung. In regards to the community, I was simply stating the current situation of things. The community support for this phone, in which there's not much going on, is a result of Samsung's and the carriers' doing.
I'm not sure how what I said could be misinterpreted to mean I'm bad-mouthing any entity other than Samsung. Calm down, read, and stop looking for something negative.

Maybe if you sold it now...the s4s are going for 450-500 right now..mby the time the next exus comes out...prob gonna be 300-350 depending on condition...technology loses value fast...especially androids due to new and better devices constantly being released...keep that in mind

Well the s3 gsm versions are still selling for $300 and up used. It should still hold its value at least until the s5 or whatever comes out.

Just sold my skyrocket for $220 on eBay. I'd say that held value pretty well. Listing my wife's S3 today, that should sell for $250+, and I really only need it to sell for $200 in order for her S4 to be completely free including activation.

Yup, but it did sell with 2 cases plus 2 extra batteries. But still, I didn't expect that much. It was hard for me to part with my skyrocket as well, but wifey said sell it or no S4 lol. Out of respect I agreed. I don't regret it, I love my S4. I also got offered $55, and I told them I could sell it as a paperweight for that price.

LOL. I traded my iPhone 5 for a Note 2 then the Note 2 for an S4 as well. I love Craigslist! Looking to trade for a Note 3 now with cash on my end. :good:
i did the same trade but with $120 of cash 3 cases and a dock.
I would have to say thats a pretty good deal. Other than the size decrease. Everything else is an upgrade. Hardware performance etc. Lucky you. Ingot my s4 on CL as well. Traded an old 4s plus 100 which isnt bad at all.

Haha i think I'm good. She seemed very innocent, but looks can be deceiving. I guess I'll find out in a month or so but I don't see why she wouldn't pay her bill. Even if the phone is unlocked that can happen?
