Instructions For Flashing Firmware:
- Extract (unzip) the firmware file
- Download Odin3 v3.09 (FromMod Edit on links.or here)
- Extract Odin .ZIP file
- Open Odin3 v3.09
- Restart phone in download mode (Press and hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons)
- Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
- Add I9505XXUEMJ5_I9505OXAEMJ5_I9505XXUEMJ5_HOME.tar.md5 to AP
- Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
- Click start button, sit back and wait a few minutes.
- If you encounter any issues with the firmware (Any FC, Bootloop etc)
- Boot into recovery mode (Home+power+vol up)
- Choose to wipe/factory reset. (THIS WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA INCLUDING YOUR INTERNAL SD CARD!)
- Then choose reboot and you should be good to go!

FW released for i9500 has 3.4.5 kernel while those released for i9505 has 3.4.0 kernel, so what are the main differences between the two?

I finally coudl do it. You have to extract the image file with simg2img (linux). Once you got the raw file created by simg2img you could mount it.

I had the OTA on my S4 GE but after flashing it rebooted to qhusb_dload and i had to restore to a older firmware.

i would guess it has KNOX included, as it is the official firmware. any ideas how to remove know and install the official firmware ?

I found working 5.1.1 for my n7500q on 4pda forum " Samsung SM-N750 Galaxy Note 3 Neo - Официальная прошивка (OS 5.1.1) " I flashed it with Odin 3. I used SM-N750 firmware. I was waiting for 4-5 min with Samsung logo, and saw welcome screen on Russian. And not it works well.
