VTL launcher - Galaxy Note 8.0 (Tablet) Themes and Apps

Just a heads up that if you have never tried this launcher it looks and works great on the note 8. Give it a whirl and let me know what you think

This was a nice launcher for it's time but they stopped developing for it 2 years ago. :crying:
I will give it a try for old times sake. Used to love it on my Dell Streak. Thanks!

Still using VTL, already before on my Note 1, 2. Now Note 8 works perfectly with it, doesn' t matter they stopped development. I' ve posted my screen in other topic 'Show your...'

Woot! ADW Launcher has been revived!

Just happened to notice that a new version of ADW Launcher/ADW Launcher Ex came out today and thought I'd let you guys know. It's in the Play Store.

I hadn't used ADW in a very long time, and it was only on my tablet. I honestly can't remember what prompted me to even check on it, but about a week ago I noticed that it had been updated, tried it, saw it had a few nice themes... love it.
rocking the paid version on both my phone and tablet now.

SuperSU pro without purchase.

I installed the latest version of SuperSU from the play store. After that I ran it and went to settings. I scrolled all the way to the bottom. I tapped on the enable pro features button even though I didn't have pro. The underneath the button changed to "Pro features are enabled even if you didn't buy pro". A message box told me to restart SuperSU and I did. I had the pro version! For free! No piracy!
Aw snaps worked like a charm

Nice find, and it just shows how awesome Chainfire is. Funny that one of the guys who really deserves our money is generous enough to not demand it.
Lol im going to try this out :3

Would like to give this a try, but can't really be bothered to uninstall the pro key I have
Chainfire deserves our support, this is just another way in which he shows us why he deserves it!

Nice find.. I bought it anyway just to support CF

Awesome.
Donate a buck or two to Chainfire if you can. He deserves it.

Wonder if this is related to the fact clockworkmod just released a free open source "superuser" app [ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.superuser&feature=nav_other ] that provides most if not all the pro features and fully supports android 4.2.
Thanks for the info. I'm a big supporter of Chainfire and recommend his apps to everyone I meet that has a rooted Android device. I'll definitely be adding SuperSU to the apps that I've already purchased from Chainfire.

I have owned the pro key forever, and I typically love these threads, but I really do wish this wasn't posted as chainfire is really awesome and deserves all that he can get. So I really don't know if I like this thread of not!! But thanks anyways for the find

I purchased numerous Chainfire apps way back, including SuperSU which I use and some I have no use for at all simply to support his efforts. Yeah, maybe I am strange.

Tapatalk 4

So Tapatalk 4 is out and Im on the fence about it. .99c is a killer deal however when I took a look at the reviews it was really mixed. A lot of people say it isnt loading forums/topics quickly. However it still has a 4.3 star overall rating. I did purchase the app and tried it for a few minutes to discover similar issues. (Im running the beta / 3rd version now). It did look a lot different then the beta though. Has anyone else tried it? What are your thoughts? Do you feel its slower than the beta?
I just bought it myself and truthfully I don't see much difference than the public release version.. :S not having the problems others are on the reviews but I'm on WiFi :<

A simplistic launcher that not a lot of ppl have tried

Zeam Launcher. it's been my go-to Launcher for my GN1 for the past 20 months. i recommend it, give it a shot. seems like a lot of ppl have never heard of it.:good:

Evangelion NERV Theme

Hey guys, was wondering if some one out there in this awesome world of XDA would be a to make a universal themed ROMS that is inspired by the Evangelion franchise.
Several years ago Sharp released a below standard phone with what I can only describe as the BEST looking theme I have ever seen to date... and this was bk in the days of gingerbread!
Since then the hardware has increased ten fold and although some themes or mods have come close, no one has, in my mind surpassed the way this themed ROMs looked.
Please find below a link to a video regarding this, forget it's in Russian but focus on the ROMs.
Anyone out there reading this who knows of any ROM builders that could undertake this?
Again not looking for themed widgets, looking for either a port or ROM.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP GUYS.

Hey Silver thanks for getting back to me, the information you gave me was really cool of you to do but I have already tried this method on my old S2, it works fine but what I'm looking for is the full customization from the NERV ROM.
Thanks for taking the time to get in touch

i would be happy just to have some that work on the duel sim .. you have no idea how frustrating it is not to have it.
Being an Eva fan myself, I find this very relevant to my interests.
However, it seems that your request for a Rom or Launcher port isn't coming until an interested XDA member gets ahold of the phone themselves.
The closest that was gotten can be found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290194
Basically a Chinese Blogger got ahold of the phone, wrote about it, and dumped some System files.
People tried to get them to port, but were unsuccessful, for the most part.
Seems some things, though, such as the official MAGI Widgets were able to be Deodexed and Signed and working on phones.
The thread died in September, however.
QNBT has managed to recreate the feel and performance of the SH-06D launcher using Nova and UCCW.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2025464
I know it's not exactly what you are looking for, but it's close for now. (Though I'm sure you are aware of it.)
In this thread, someone found a Japanese blog where someone else configured it through a different launcher called Glaeja.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1666996
So, there you go.
Seems nobody's quite done what you're asking yet.
But perhaps you can find some skilled people to assist the first thread in picking apart the system files.
Best of luck!
Ryo I think this challenge will be unanswered as there's not enough people who think this is worth the effort... :'(

It is not dead...I've been working at this for a few days now..the major issue is the SH-06D has a glass free 3d interface just like the Nintendo 3ds...MAGIhome depends on that hardware..cracking it is proving difficult.
