Could be someone trying to randomly access accounts, or perhaps they used the wrong username. Probably best to change your password just to be safe.

I wouldn't change my password via that blue "Reset Password" box

Nice catch

I've had that before, know a few people who have. Mine was legit, but even so as a rule I never reset direct from emails (unless I just requested it). I will go to the site directly, try and login and see what it prompts.

Just ignore it :v

I have gotten that before and I contacted google. Seems someone in another country had a very similar email and was try to login to my account.

Legit email from Google with a blue box
Earlier this year I traveled to a conference in Astrakhan, Russia, on the Caspian Sea. I did switch my phone on when we transferred in Moscow, and everything was OK, but Google disabled my account when I switched my phone on upon reaching Astrakhan.
Since Google had apparently black-listed the ISP I was using, I couldn't log in, no matter how hard I tried. Luckily, when leaving home, I hadn't logged out of Gmail in my laptop browser and I was able to get straight into the account via the Hibernated open laptop browser-window
My Gmail account had received the attached email, with a blue box, which was legitimate, although a pain in the butt.
I can't see any way to stop Google disabling one's account, I travel a lot, and this could have been a real problem to fix.:crying:
.
Oh - wait - I guess I might try using a VPN to obfuscate the blacklisted IP next time...

As a golden rule relating to accounts and passwords, never follow links in e-mails in-case the e-mail is a fake.
The same can apply to phone calls, such as those from your bank regarding account security, just tell the operator thanks for informing you of a problem, and you will be in touch through the main phone number for the bank.
If it's legit you get put through to the right department, and get it all fixed, if it was fake, the bank say they have no idea what you are talking about and just to ignore it.

No, not fake. I got another identical message last month when I travalled to Hainan, China. Now it is possible that the NSA has me as a marked man and Google is acting against just a few people under a secret court order...

Even if it is not a fake, it is certainly not a bad practice to go right to the website to do the reset. Better safe than sorry.

Google Now Help

Hey guys,
So I have this reoccurring problem on Google Now where it always thinks I am a few miles away from my house when I am actually at my house. I was wondering if there was a way to essentially "factory reset" Google Now? I want to open Google Now be able to set it up as if I was using it for the first time ever. Clearing the app cache doesn't work because it will just ask me to sign in using my email and then all my info is imported and my problem is still there. I know I have my correct address input because I have continuously gone through the set up process of that specific card to try and fix it.
Here's a screen shot to show what I am talking about.

Google Now tells me I am currently 8 minutes away from home, yet I am home! If I open the card to navigate GPS recognizes that I am in fact at home!! [emoji35]
Anyways any help to fix this would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Wow can't believe I never though of that! Thanks, you're a genius!!
You might see what your location services settings are. If Google now only had access to your cell tower-based location, it might be off by a few miles. Whereas your navigation app probably has permission to use your GPS. This seems especially likely if your navigation app isn't Google maps which may point to a restriction of all Google apps to location data.
On an unrelated note, I would be hesitant to publicly display something as personally identifying as a map pinpointing my house. Maybe I'm just paranoid from one too many SAEDA briefs.

Samsung "Enhanced Features" popup driving me mad!

I don't know what updated today, but now I can't do anything without this dialogue popping up. If I click "Decline", it will just popup again within seconds no matter which app I'm in. It'll pop up when I'm doing anything, but if I wanted to force it to pop up to show you, all I would have to do is take a picture, and it will pop up either while I'm trying to take it, or just after. This made me think it was the camera, but I can be in iHeartRadio and it will pop up.
I know it's Samsung specific because it mentions "Samsung" in the Terms and Conditions, but it doesn't mention that app or service it pertains to. It is the worst ever, and I don't want to Accept it just to make it go away.
Any ideas on a solution?

Thanks. I even searched here for both threads and posts with "enhanced features" and nothing came up. I didn't search the Edge section, though.
For those that don't go to that link, this is the solution they give:
All you have to do is check the box agreeing to the terms and conditions, and then tap the agree button. Yes, this means you’ve just opted into the service. Then, however, you can open the Contacts app and tap on your own profile, which will appear at the top of the list.
Now, simply tap on Profile sharing and slide the toggle to off and you’ll disable the new enhanced features.
Click to collapse
The only problem is, I followed the directions, and after trying to turn Profile Sharing off, I got a spinning circle that finally ended with Profile Sharing back on. If this happened within my 14day BestBuy return period, I'd be heading in to exchange this for an iPhone 6+. This is not good, Samsung.
android police posted work around
Per Android Police there is a work around for the issue.
The popup is for the "Enhanced Features" component that includes Simple Sharing. This feature lets you push large files and profile information to your contacts. A lot of people probably just agree the first time it appears, but the fine print is clear that agreeing means your phone number, messages, and contacts will be collected by Samsung. - per android police there is a work around to stop it. -androidpolice.com/2015/05/11/some-galaxy-s6-owners-are-being-plagued-by-a-samsung-popup-that-reappears-every-few-minutes/

Welcome to One Caller!
WHAT IS THIS?
One Caller is an app that gives you the possibility to call any phone number in the world using Internet Wifi or Mobile Data.
WHY SHOULD I USE IT?
Now a days we have our family or friends all over the world. Calling their cell phone number or home phone might get a bit expensive. That's why One Caller provides a flat cheap rate to get minutes and talk to your loved ones.
It's also perfect to prank a friend, make a private call, or talk about something secret on the phone.
REQUIREMENTS?
Internet connection
BENEFITS?
The app is designed to show as "Unknown" caller with no number or caller ID on the screen of the receiver. The calls are charged by minute and are extremely cheap!
EXACTLY HOW PRIVATE IS THE CALL?
The call is rerouted and is completely untraceable!
HOW TO USE?
Simply open the app, enter the phone number directly USING THE COUNTRY CODE, press the green call icon on the bottom left and you are dialing!
WHAT'S NEXT?
Please rate and comment with suggestions!
Enjoy!

Thank you for the typo error, fixing it right away
The difference of this caller is that it's a flat rate fee to call any country, any number. No hustle finding cheap callers because this is the cheapest of them all.
The system is secure and untraceable too.

Thanks for the support and interest in this project. We are currently working on the mobile phone's service and making it better. Also, we are adding the contacts picker, too.
Ok, so its a flat fee, but what is that fee? Is it a flat fee per minute or per month? How do we pay for it? I do not see any website where I can check this up.

LG Developer website account creation loop!

I created a developer account using the LG developer website in order to get the boot unlocker for my phone. However, upon login I am prompted to enter a nickname before I can proceed. Upon doing so and attempting to check the availability of the nickname, I am immediately kicked back to the login page. No login means no boot loader means no rooting for me. It's driving me crazy! Anyone know how to deal with this?

A bit further information that may be of help: I cleared my cache/browsing data, and tried 4 different web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Exploder, and Opera.), all of which behaved the same way. No adblock or VPN was being used. I'm running Windows 7 X64.

Same!
Checking in going on near two years later (Jan 2020), and experiencing the same sort of issues. I sign up, get to "account creation complete" page, but with no login links. When I try to log in by shortening the url to its base, I get autoforwarded to a page "under construction" error, in Chinese and English.
Almost seems like LG walked away from the developer community mid-upgrade?

You all need to be contacting LG about this, no one at XDA can help with this because there is nothing that can be done from the users side of the issue, it can only be answered/solved on LG's side of the issue.
