Edit: flashed and running. Having trouble updating some apps, google play, books. Some won't even install like instagram, Netflix. Is it because 4.3? Error code 497 and invalid file error messages.

did u dirty flash ? or clean install ? .. no issues here on the g/f tablet... she been d/ling and installing apps all last night without issue

No no dirty flash, wet back to stock last night, and this morning some apps updated after and some I was able to install that I couldnt yesterday, weird a** Googly stuff is happening to me with this 4.3. Will backup with TB and flash this again and only restore apps see what happens. Its a Google issue for sure, in no way shape or form was I blaming the ROM, been thru too many flashaholics meetings to know that much.:laugh:

infusion kenrel but needs bootloaders and video works???? not sure i understand that. i mean dont rogers based custom kernels (which have the rainbow fix) break video and negate the need for bootloaders?

Waiting on EXPERIMENT to finish a few things then ill put the link up....its 1 am ...most everyone's in bed that's why I went ahead and posted...got time before people start wanting it...lol

Yep...a lot of work and studying and editing...but its fully UCKL2 BASED and video works...I'm just assuming that the bootloaders are needed...haven't flashed without them so I can't say...just saving everyone from asking and bootlooping

I like it a lot just when I have google music player or Pandora or some music player playing my music and I go to unlock my screen sometimes the audio starts to lag the lockscreen is jerky and lags. Also noticed sometimes if i touched the screen nothing would happen unless I turned the screen off and then turned it back on, then my touchscreen will work fine. I think 1 of the tweaks inside Caty are causing it, but according to this Rom, seems you only have thunderbolt tweaks and none of those others from Catyrom, so I will definitely let you know.

Yeah the gingerbread bootloaders would be needed for this rom to work correctly since its based on UCKL2.

Never experienced any of these issues and don't understand why I haven't ! I have no idea if I'm on Gb Bootloaders or not. All I've ever done was from Froyo 2.2.1 UCKH1 was Flash the Community Kernel and Bam I had CWM and was able to flash any rom. and when I wanted to go back to Froyo, all I did was use GTG Ultimate Unbrick.
Edit: Haven't experienced Rainbows since UCK13

ki4 or kj1 had bootloaders, you might have them already if you've done any odin flashing, also if you have a rainbow fix kernel you dont need bootloaders. if you have just been flashing cwm flashing cuz most cwm roms have had cwm custom kenrels included that have the rainbow fix.

I love it bro! It's constantly keeping my ram above 180, even when it dips to 150 during use, once I turn the screen off it goes to work freeing up ram back to 200. Phone is fast and snappy with no lag whatsoever. Nice job bro and I will be flashing it on every sense 4 rom

RAM- yes! DesireS free memory is around 160MB, earlier I used to get ~110MB.
And I do confirm that it feels faster though.
Flashed zip, not manual process
On Sensation, I've upgraded to the new base, will check how it fares with it..

ok good, very good, and thanks for the feedback, this exactly how should it works, on sense 3.6 it seems not so impressive anyway, I'll make more test...

I'm currently testing a new way to "massage" the apk and jars LOL this stuff comes from baadnewz and it has been suggested me from @wilkii on of my SmartDroid team member, so basically the hack remove the debugging info from every single jar and apk, this should increase the speed a lot..let's see..

well, the problem is services.jar, since the new base is just a very small update it means that services.jar code doesn't changed too much or at all, that's why it works, good for us ehehe

will try it now...
i used to edit build.prop & whole init.d folder with old GB & Zep's mods in the every rom i flash.
but didn't knew minfree limit in ICS until pacha showed up with his init.qcom.post_boot.sh files..
i guess minfrees in my signature r way too aggressive for Sense 4... but they were best till Sense 3.5 with GB..
anyway thanks for the mod..
P.S u could also suggest people to use lag nullifier from zep's thread... that works..

In your tutorial, the build.prop hack in 1) does not work on ICS because all memory values and other crap got moved out of ramdisk and into services.jar for ICS whereas in GB they where in ramdisk so the build.prop hack worked on GB but not ICS

Originally started in XL by @ImagioX1 team leader. Now brought to One S by myself and help from members newly based team working on the sense 5 port.
well this is my first Rom. Hope you enjoy.....
Directions
1.Make nandroid of your current rom.
2 Wipe cache,dalvik cache, system, and factory reset
3.Flash rom
4 If your're s-off or on hboot 1.09 then you can reboot to system. If your're not s-off and have hboot 1.14 or greater go to step 5
5 Reboot to bootloader and select fastboot
6 Open the rom.zip and copy the boot.img to your fastboot directory.
7.Plug phone into computer and verify connection
8 Flash boot.img with this command: fastboot flash boot boot.img
9 Now you can reboot to system and enjoy the rom

Screenshots to follow soon its well worth trying this Rom its super quick and only Bluetooth, fmradio and some streaming audio problems but overall for the majority of users this isn't a major problem I for one have never used Bluetooth on my phone as never seen the need to

Are you T-Mobile or an international version. Also on the box does it say snap dragon s4 as its chip. If not then you are the s3 version

- Read known issues ans FAQs
- Flash the latest official ClockworkMod-Recovery
- Copy GApps and CM10.2 ZIPs to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM10.2 zip from SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!

Just flashed this but I cant seem to get superuser to work, i looked at the CM changelogs for 10.2 and it looks like a fix was merged 4 days ago, anyone else having the issue?
So far seems to be working great and very smooth but really want root access

I had the same problem and solved it by changing "root acces" from "apps" to "apps & adb"!

There was the same issue in the I9300 section, for some root worked right from the start, others had to upgrade SuperSU to V1.5 i think

In developers settings! You have to go to status in settings, click cm10.2 version 7 times and you'll get dev settings

Other than that I haven't noticed any major bugs, haven't installed all my apps yet but no major bugs, internal storage works (i9300 bug). I've been running this for about an hour now.
Bugs I've found:
- Focal is buggy, you can't change pic/video size, it freezes. Everything else seems to work.
- Stock frontal camera has 1.3 mpx as max size. This was a early bug on 10.1. I guess stereo video recording does not work properly, this was also an early bug on 10.1
If I find any other bugs I'll post them.

- Multitask previews are all black, so no real previews.

Cool! Thanks for your feedback! I'm currently on PA 3.65 which is pretty stable but I'll give it a try. If it's too buggy for my taste I'll just restore PA.
BTW can someone point me out for the right gapps please? The lastest I can find is this: 20130301! Is it the right ones?

Anyone else have some apps that have "extra" application notifications that you cant close? I have this issue with battery defender which now has an icon in addition to the normal % notification
I found that if i go to manage apps and then disable notification and re-enable again straight away the extra notification goes away until the next reboot

I suggest you stay away from battery savers/task killers. I mean, they take away all the "smart" from a smartphone. If you want to save battery you can try greenify to hibernate the apps thay eat battery, like facebook and maps. Another thing you can do is to turn off data/bluetooth/gps/ sync manually. In the end, you can do all the things a battery saver do by yourself.

hey guys i m using the GLADE rom with TZ 4.14...i am facing some issues....sometimes when i call ,after 2 or 3 min call duration the other person couldnt hear my voice.....i have done the clean installation 3-4 times but problem still exists.....i have also flashed the audio fix after which the phone rear speaker quality is good...pls help...thanks in advance

ya and there are other problems as well like when talking to someone on phone the screen turns on by itself....so there is some sort of error with the proximity sensor....

I can't download the rom and kernel..please give a link to download this rom.

Battery draining
I try this ROM which is awesome for using faster and gaming but battery draining is fast
but performance wise its a good ROM
need an alternate solution for battery draining

Thunderzap doesn't work
this doesn't work with thunderzap 4.14 and 4.15 kernel, in a the latest version of the rom, sorry for my english i'm using google translate

Same here. I couldn't get it to work on tz kernel (any version), but the rom with default kernel is fast enough. Unfortunately, it wouldn't let me pick which apps to use on a given task (for example videos, it gives me a blank screen when it should let me choose which player i'd like to use). See attachment. ? i guess this is expected since this was a huge update, so i'm looking forward to the next release. Like i said, this rom is even smoother than euphoria, and with rro support. ?
Had to go back to euphoria rom.. Also, Layers Manager app won't let me apply rro themes, at least when it's in .zip format. It takes a long time and tells me that the app force closed...
I don't have access to a pc since i'm away from home atm, so apologies for no screenies nor logs.. If anyone experiences these issues please add logs so dev would be aware. Thank you.

Tested Glade V2 rom and its not working with Tz 4.14 or 4.15. I m using Glade rom v1 with Tz 4.14 and its working fine for me.

Rro app has no problems,, and ur image even I was shocked at first, but everything is there u have to SWIPE UP ? ya this is for others too, I thought of mentioning this since I knew someone would ask but forgot !

I didn't try swiping up. I'll try redownloading later. I thought something went wrong with my download so i deleted the zip.
edit:
swipe up works, although it's a bit hard the first time chossing. apology to the dev. my stupidity and laziness got the better of me.

what version of Gapps.. compatible this ROM.?

Bootloop
Hello,
I have problems with launching this Glade ROM.
I flashed several ROMs before so i got som experience with bricks and bootloops, but i cant figure out whats wrong with this one.
Full wipe , flashed GLADE and after install im stuck on bootloop for 15-20 minutes and nothing happens.
Sorry for bad english.

Anyone can explain about stock kernel dont cause BSOD? And can u provide the link?

provide link? are you kidding me? the stockkernel is IN the ROM and will be automatical flashed when you flash this rom (as long as you dont override it with another one)
btw stock kernel is the CAF kernel

Im sorry man. I dont know bout it thats why im asking. Anyway, so for this ROM, juz flash it alone with gapps. Thats all rite?

if you are already on this rom...you can simply dirty flash....
if not clean install flashing rom and gapps

Im from cm12.1. I want to change to this ROM. So i clean install then flash this rom + gapps. No need thunderzap. Right?

Yes. That's about it. Clean flash is important, though.
