not sure if this will definitely solve your issue, but try formatting the SD card in a PC or maybe in another phone if it recognizes it... :good:

format using Mini Tool Partition Wizard in your Windows PC/Laptop. to Fat32 Only.

Is it Class 10 Card?
Xperia L has problems recognizing Class 10 cards.

No , Its not Class 10 .. BUT THANKS .. the mini partition tool thing worked
I formatted it and now its working

The same problem here,
I format it from pc, from mini partition tool but it is still saying "blank sd card" even 2gb data are exist there.
I have 2 card 1 is class4 and other is class 10, result are same for both..but it is excepting my frnds 8gb class4 card.
Any idea how can I solve it?

First backup your data, by some means ( connecting to some card readers, etc)
Now mount your SD card in USB mode using some other device that support, or the same card reader itself. ( some non android phones are also capable of that, like HTC Smart that I had )
Using some partitioning tool, delete whole of the contents - not just data, but the whole partitions ( I tested it on Gparted in linux. Gparted live medium is available from http://gparted.sourceforge.net/download.php ). Now your card doesnt have any partitions, or even a partition table.
Insert the device into your xperia L and turn it on. It will automatically format your card to fat32 partition.

My sdcard got damaged now.
Not even computer detecting but also not showing on any other devices..
What can I do now?
Sent from my C2104 using xda premium

If its permanently damaged, there is nothing you can do. As a final hand, you may try inserting it into a linux system, and check the output of command "ls /dev | grep sdb". If your card is being detected, the output will be sdb if you haven't plugged any other removable device.

same as me....my 32gb kingston sd card class 10 is not working. XL always say "sd card damaged"

XL has problems with class 10 cards. I had a Sandisk Class 10 16 GB sdhc, which I was about to get replaced due to the same reason, but lost it.
I then bought a transcend 16GB class 10 sdcard, which the phone showed as damaged. I then finally had that replaced, and after a formatting a few times and restarting a few times, it somehow worked.
plus many others reported class 10 cards not being read on XL
Luck by chance :/

with UHS-1 is works flawlessly

i wanna swap memory internal to extternal, but would the damage memory card when my memory card has partition? i use sandisk memory with 30 mbps 16 gb. sory for my bad english

If ur fone is rooted .. connect ur fone to pc via usb cable, go into recovery mode thru ur fone , if u can see mounts and storage , select it and then select mount USB option .. ur sd card will be mounted .. copy the files to ur pc .. if u have minitool partition wizard , open it and format / delete and create ur sdcard , then copy ur files back into the sdcard .. So u got ur sdcard back !

Blank SD card error

Since flashing to the most recent updated ICS I've had issues with my SD cards. Once the phone gets started this error appears....
Blank SD card
SD card blank or has unsupported file system
This error happened with 2 SD cards and at first I thought it was done for but they work fine on my pc. When the phone suggests that I format the SD card I do it (no worries since I backed all pics up on the pc) but I still get this error and it really doesn't format because I still see the files on the pc
Can't browse (from phone or recovery)
Can't mount to mass storage
Can format from the phone
Again I can view files, delete etc from the phone no problem
Is there a fix for this issue? I really need to get my SD card working...
Thanks in advance

It only works on the nokia 500. So i plugged the phone computer and I formatted the card in fat32 but it didnt work to be readable on other devices than the nokia 500.
Does anyone have an idea or issue to fix it please?

It may be the way it was initially formatted. The only thing I can think of off hand is an sd card reader

Thanks for reply, I also tried with an sd card reader, it's the same problem. Could Nokia set a protection on the sdhc card ?? If yes, I've just lost an sdhc card to be used on other devices....

Does Nobody have an issue please???
Connect your sd card to computer with card reader and start command prompt.
Type the following:
cd chkdsk [sd card drive letter] /r
This will Scan for and attempt Recovery of bad sectorsor
cd chkdsk [sd card drive letter] /f
this will Automatically Fix file system errors on the disk
Try these commands and see whether the problem is fixed or not/

SOLUTION :
In the nokia storage's options, just click for 2seconds on the SD CARD STORAGE and it will appear an list of option as "delete password". I've just deleted the password which was put to get an private storage. That's why i could'nt use my sd card on other devices.
Now i can use my SDHC card on all devices that support it

Sorry my bad.. It shows bad disk..
Attaching screen shot.. If this will help you
I think your solution is clear....time for a new card.
Even if you got it working, do you trust it? You could lose everything on it again.
Visit a nice big chain store, they are quite cheap. ?

I m not afraid of data loss in the card as its not that imp ..
If it was really a bad disk how m I able to access it in my phone plus I can transfer files as well..
Scenario is that I have a password to the card and its detectable only on Nokia the phone in which I set it..
Now I don't remember the pass .. So thought of formatting it when put it in card reader it shows bad disk . when I put card in phone it mounts as USB storage and it works as a drive as you can see in the image..

Yes, but the computer doesn't like it. So its the drivers on the computer not being able to communicate with it properly, or its corrupt. The phone may see it fine, but not the PC cause of the corruption.
I'd start with looking at the PC drivers.

Big problem with 128GB SD Card

Hello everyone, i am having a serious problem with my 128GB SD card. I have formatted it on my Shield before using it, but i can't move apps or files to the SD Card. It usally gives a error message. What should i do? Format it with a Linux Distro using GParted on the PC? Should i format it to FAT32 or NTFS? I'm out of ideas.
Thanks.

Mine works fine in FAT32, but would not work in Exfat or NTFS. I am still on 4.2 OS though.
I forgot to say i am using 4.4.2, OTA Update 77.
Also, it is suggested that exFAT with 2048 cluster size would work for 64GB cards. Is it a good idea to do this on a 128GB card?

It's because of Kitkat. You must install "SDFix: Kitkat Writable Micro SD" in Playstore to have the permission to write SD card. You need root access for that.

Do not use "SDFix KitKat Writable MicroSD" on Sony Xperia Z1 Compact with D5503_14.4.A.0.118... because it f..k your phone. When it is on cable (charging) and you turn it off, it will always auto-turn on.
Also same problem with my samsung 32gb memory card class 10it give a error and some times file moves but when i want to see those files they are converted into something u like icon and wont open how to fix it is there a way to fix it
