SPG Ultra Capsule vs Ultra Thin Air

Hey guys,
I am planning to get a case for my S4. I personally prefer slim case that doesn't make my phone look too bulky. I am considering the Ultra Capsule and the ultra think air. Has anyone used any of these two cases? I can't find any picture of the ultra capsule.
Thanks,
while i can't comment about the ultra capsule, i have two of the ultra thin air (well, one is the ultra fit, but it's technically just a matte version of the ultra thin air). i think it's a great case because it doesn't add hardly any bulk or weight. i can take a picture of it if you'd like. i have the tango orange and the white. let me me know.
the negatives (not for me, but for others) are that the top and bottom are uncovered (the corners are though); the side buttons are a little hard to press at first; and some screen protectors will get lifted on the sides (this is same with the ultra capsule i believe) because of the lip.
here are videos of the thin air:
http://www.youtube.com/results?sear....5j2.7.0...0.0...1ac.1.11.youtube.Y4S41ilu6l8
The "original" Samsung cover also doesn't add a lot of bulk and feels quite nice. It does scratch rather easily though...
You can see some images here: front & back. Some more (also showing the Mime Glass protector) here
The Spigen Ultra Fit looks pretty identical to the cheaper Ringke Slim that I'm using.

I have this Elago Slim Fit. Almost feels like its part of the phone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHySRZkjJE0&feature=youtube_gdata_player

yup and i love this one! i was using a neo hybrid and i didnt like the fact that my phone looked like a piece of brick, after putting on this ringke it felt perfect in the hands is exactly what i was looking for
Hi High Kick.
What color of phone are you using? I would appreciate if you can post the picture of the white color case. Thanks a lot!

i have the white S4. i've had black smartphones this whole time, so i thought i'd get a white one instead. however, i'm finding that white phones are harder to buy cases for.
one thing to note about the ultra fit is that it's A LOT more slippery than the ultra thin air. i was expecting the matte to be kind of softly rubbery and grippy, like what i'm used to matte being, but it feels like i'm holding a bar of wet soap. the ultra fit is $9.99, but i would recommend paying more for the ultra thin air.

i have the ringke slim also, and normally i would recommend the ringke slim over spigen based on price (and the fact that it's practically the same case). but i've found that the ringke slim cases are almost impossible to remove (at least for me).
p.s. the paper underneath my phone in the pictures is the return label for the spigen neo hybrid. i just couldn't stand how wide it made my phone.

Thank you very much for your suggestion and picture. I am also using a white S4 and I really like the phone. I think I will either go with ultra thin air or just don't use a case at all to keep the original beauty.
The ultra capsule is one of the worst designed cases I have ever purchased.
The fit its loose and the material feels like a China cheap case.
On the other hand everything I purchased from poetic has me totally won over with their quality and price.
I have 3 palette cases one atmosphere and I just ordered the revolution for when I am at the building site of my home.
On a side note the neo hybrid oozes quality.
And yes I am a case junkie.

although i said the ultra fit is very, very slippery, one might wonder why i'm not returning/exchanging it for the ultra thin air (which i said had a better grip). well, the ultra thin air, with its matte finish, just LOOKS SO much better than the glossy finish of the ultra thin air. i've been staring at the matte and the glossy side-by-side for a few minutes, and the matte is so much better looking. so, basically i'm going for looks over security. i just wanted to add that in my "review" as it might help you decide which one to purchase. also, keep in mind that the ultra thin air comes with more stuff; the ultra thin air is just the case. i hope that helps some more.

Thanks for the info. I guess the picture that you took is the matte. How's the feel of the grid compare to the original phone (without case)? The only reason that I want the case is to protect the edge of the phone as well as the camera lens since the lens stick out a little bit.

i think the grip with the matte ultra fit on is more slippery.

Thanks. Does ultra fit or thin air make the side button harder to press? Does it decrease the speaker volume?

Does the white colour of the ultra slim look close to the phone? Or does it give you a rubber white feeling? I am thinking whether the white colour of ultra thin air will look closer to the phone since they are both glossy.
I bought Ultra Fit last month and could only used it for 2 days. I was squatting and the phone slipped out from my pocket to the concrete floor. A corner of the case is broken. The front screen frame is sunken. Checked with Samsung, they said that frame must be replaced along with the screen.
The case looks gods and is very light. But you have to give up the safety of your phone. Your choice
I bought the ultra thin air and it sucks. You can barely press the power and volume buttons. Not worth $25. I never use cases but thought this one would be minimal. I was wrong.

the ultra fit is only $9.99. it's more slippery, but it looks better in my opinion. i don't have any problems getting to any of the side buttons, but i think i'm used to it since i've been using cases like this (ringke slim) since my last phone.
I think neo hybrid is slimmer than my ultra thin air crystal clear.

I have just received the Ultra Thin Air case yesterday. The case fits very well and tight to the phone. I really like the case overall except the is a bit to press the power button.

Review: Speck Candyshell Galaxy S4

Hello, this is a review on specks candy shell for the Samsung Galaxy S4. If you are unfamiliar with specks line up of candy shell cases, the candy shell is a hybrid case that incorporates both a soft silicone and a hardshell. That is where the case derives its name candy shell, it is like a candy, soft on the inside and hard on the outside. But that is besides the fact that the speck candy shell will offer the ultimate protection to sleekness factor. The silicone will aid in shock absorption and the hardshell on the outside will aid in bumps and scrapes. It also preserves the sleekness of the Galaxy S4 as other hybrid cases such as the otterbox have two pieces which separate, this causes unnecessary bulk. In my opinion, I am quite fond of the cases design. I like the two toned plastic to silicone and how the silicone accents all the buttons and corners of the phone. The case also does not hinder any of the phones functionalities as the buttons are nice and responsive with a "clicky" response. The cut outs for the camera, IR blaster, headphone jack, usb port, and microphones are all cut to perfection. I have no problems with 3rd party headphones and usb cables from not fitting. On the front of the phone it offers a nice and ample "lay on the table" lip, for when you face your phones screen down. Although there are several complaints I have with the case, the back of the case will pick up scratches quite easily although it is better that it is the case not the phone, the investment you have to put down to purchase this case is quite exorbitant and the glossy back can get uncomfortable to hold when your hands are greasy or wet. However, in conclusion I still recommend the Speck Candy Shell to anyone who owns a Samsung Galaxy S4 and wants ultimate protection while preserving the sleek and slender body of the Galaxy S4.
Is there any chance that you could measure the size of the Candyshell and upload some pictures?
Thanks in advance

It's a great case, but it's a scratch magnet and it doesn't stay as comfortable to hold onto for long periods of time. I love the button response, though.

I've been using this case (white) since I got the phone and have used speck candyshells for my other devices.
I love the case, specially the lip that protects the screen. It does add some bulk but it still feels great to me.
I added the wireless receiver from fonesalesman and it works great... nfc and all.
My only complaint is that the back scratches a lot, but since mine is white, you don't really see it!

I used a candyshell for about a month and I just replaced it with a UAG. I love how the candyshell has hard plastic covering all 4 edges, while most other cases only cover the side edges. For me the power button was too easy to press accidentally, which is why I gave the UAG a shot. The candyshell is slimmer than the UAG.
The wireless charger works with this case?

Personally for protection and looks I like the Spigen Slim Armor the best. It's not very bulky, but still offers good protection. For good reviews and pictures take a look at the posts around this section. There are plenty of great reviews.
Ballistic aspira. Not too thick, but great protection. Love the colors too

I'm really liking my UAG Navigator in white:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41548103
Spigen Neo Hybrid, Dante Red looks pretty sweet. Gets a little distorted from a wirelesss charging pad, but otherwise very nice looking.
I personally use 3 cases, the official Samsung Protective Cover+, Spigen Neo Hybrid and UAG Navigator! All 3 are slim protective cases!
Otterbox commuter has protected my S4 from several drops ranging from 3-5 feet onto various surfaces including concrete! Couldn't recommend anything else.
Really love my Spigen Slim Armor Cases. They are the best looking case I have ever used. I will probably get an Otterbox Commuter or Defender for Outdoor activities. I have used them on other phones and really liked them.
it depends if you want protective case and don't care if the phone become bulky or want non bulky phone and good protection.for the first option i recommend otterbox commuter. for the second option i recommend uag .
I personally prefer the otterbox as well.

If you like not being able to plug in headphones/chargers with the case on, go for the Spigen Neo Hybrid.
If you want the same protection, an OEM look, and wider ports that allow for plugging in with the case on, go for the OEM Samsung S4 Bumper Case.
You can find both (by copying & pasting the names I wrote) on Amazon.
I would wholeheartedly recommend the UAG case. It's the first case I look for when I buy a new phone.
To me, it's the perfect case.

I'm using the otterbox the commuter series, and liking it. Not too bulky.
So my Seidio Convert case for the S3 fits the S4 mostly.
You will have to cut the volume controls a bit if you want to use the inner plastic shell but I just skipped on it.
The rubber shell and exoskeleton together are enough to keep the phone in the case - even if a bit of wiggle is there - and you can use the volume and power buttons, the IR blaster is exposed and works well.
The headphones jack doesn't line up, but the power and camera do - so it'll do for a few days until I get this in:
http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-CSWSSG...TF8&qid=1379369652&sr=8-11&keywords=seidio+s4
I used to go for otterbox cases, but after getting my first Seidio case I will never, ever use an otterbox again.
The seidio convert case is far and away superior to the defender case from otterbox - the convert case has an inner plastic shell that slides together, instead of clipping together, and then the rubber shell goes over with a second plastic exoskeleton that keeps the rubber in place.
Not only that, but where the defender is basically a brick-type shape, the convert case is contoured and feels nice in your hand with it's rounded edges and ribbed sides.
They are about the same size when all is said and done, so i'd rather hold a convert then a defender.
That waterproof case is going to be the best decision I ever made for this device, I am sure of it.

I hate to admit it but the new Otterbox Defender is actually pretty nice. It seems slimmer than previous models and feels good in my hands.
I also like the color options now available. I found replacement frames and rubber sleeves on Amazon for like $5 each so I can mix up the colors. I have the Samsung wireless charging back on it which fits in the case and charges fine. The raised edges don't bother me like they did in previous models where they felt like they impeded my typing. I have to say I'm impressed with overall improvements to the case. I tried the Convert but prefer this. On top of all that, this like Seidio are quality built cases so you know proximity and gps etc...all work fine.
I have probably about 15 cases from thin to bumpers to bulky but this actually works pretty well for me. I've gotta calm down on the case venture!!! The Love Mei large case is on a shelf after the issues I experienced with it.
I need to have a phone case garage sale.
Best
case
EVER!

Verus Ironshield vs Spigen Neo Hybrid Metal

Has anyone put their hands on both of these cases? I basically narrowed down to one of these. They are strikingly similar to me on paper. I just want to see if anyone can push me one way or the other. Thx.
Hi,
I got SGP Metal Case. It fits perfectly and protects my Note. However, after unmounting couple of times the metal frame slightly bend and no longer adhere (<-- used translate on this word ) as perfectly as before.
Both are practically the same but it all depends how much you want to spend and the colors you want to get.
Go for spigen
The spigen looks slicker in real world, plus the side button implementation is way better than verus.
The verus buttons have a rubbery feeling while pressing which I don't like.
Have the Spigen Neo-Hybrid one, must say it is pretty nice.
Only downside would be if you are constantly swapping out batteries.
Taking off the case is a little annoying, but I haven't yet as battery life is
pretty decent on 4.4.4.

+1 for Neo Hybrid. It's solid, the buttons work great, it's real easy to grip, and it's about as small as a useful case can be.
Thanks for all input. I just disordered the blue Neo Hybrid metal case. It looks really sexy based on one of the YouTube reviews.

Good choice on the SGP. I had the Verus at first and found the buttons (power and volume) very difficult to press - as if there was no tactile feel. I switched over to Neo hybrid metal and the buttons feel 1000 times better. I narrowed this down to the tpu inlay of the Verus not having cutouts for button placement. SGP has segmented cutout for the buttons which gave it great button feel. In fact you can use the SGP tpu inlay and the Verus metal bumper fits over it fine with very marginal differences.
The neo hybrid started wearing and scuffing the aluminum off my Note 4. I could see silver in the corners of the case.
After I got a replacement I went with a clear I-Blason to avoid the wear and have good protection. Plus less bulky.
How does it get scratched with TPU in between?
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
Received the Blue Neo Hybrid Metal Bumper. It looks very slick. The buttons are great. The only downside is that not the whole bumper is blue. The champhered portion is chrome. I wish it was anodized aluminum like the Verus Ironshield, but the Verus doesn't have the slick button implementation. I guess there isn't a perfect case.
Have you tried using the heart rate monitor sensor on the back with Neo Hybrid case on? The gap was small and you can hardly get a good stable reading as u need to squeeze the finger tip into that deep cut out. Secondly the metal bezel is brushed but yet susceptible to scratches. As my first case is Spigen Neo Hybrid, it does finely scratched the bezel over the time when i remove it to replace the battery.

Accessories Review - CaseBorne V Compatible with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Case/Flip 3 Case - Rugged Protective Case

I received this case for review and I absolutely love it. the design is sleek but rugged so that it feels like it's properly protected as well as being protected. I love that the buttons for the volume are covered by rubber so that you can easily distinguish the fingerprint/power button. The opening mechanism is very smooth and feels great every time. the front of the phone when opened is surrounded by that protective rubber with cutouts exactly where you need them. I like that the logo is placed just so it's there but not in your face. When closed the phone is encased and fully protected with openings only where you need them. The case has a raised area around the outer screen and cameras so that when laid down they don't touch. I love that the outside is kept sleek without unnecessary grooves and ridges because it allows me to attach my grip mount to the back of the phone. I really don't see how you could make a better case. I got it in black which is awesome but wouldn't mind having a color-matched case, that's a minor thing compared to the fact that it is one of the best cases I've used for my Flip 4.
