Does you battery get hot, or the area immediately above the battery??

It's normal that the battery get hot when you play HD games.
But if you find it becomes too hot you can check the temperature using CPU-Z or any other application. You post them her and we will compare.
What games do you play?

Its normal says the shopkeeper

[Q]Miro heating up

My Xperia Miro gets heated up manytimes. at first i was ignoring it. but now i feel its happening again and again.
sometimes when i use whatsapp, sometimes when i play games, sometimes when im on a call...and most importantly whenevr i put it to charging, it gets heated up the maximum!
what could be wrong?
ive experienced this problem both on stock and other custom(BL NOT UNLOCKED) roms.
anyone facing such issues?
What temperature? As lomg as it doesn't increase above 46 iit should be ok

reduce brightness and uninstall apps that you are not using. Some apps still run in the background so it will keep using the CPU then it heats up and draining your battery.
how do i check the temperature?

I'm having the same problem, although phone is not getting any hot or anything like thath.
But battery is draining like hell. In a few second it will go from 15% to 0% and phone will shut down automatically.
Also when phone is fully charged it will drain battery pretty quick even with screen switched off and just music playing it will go dwon from 100 to 70 in one hour.
I've switched off all push email, facebook stuff etc. not usibg 3g much, got no clueue whats causing this to be honest.
Battery Callibration

I've had the same problem and I used this and it works

You don't need this app because li-ion accu calibrate it self when it is empty and you load it again.

You could try Greenify or Wakelock which will point you in the direction of what is using resources and to hibernate the offenders.
Quite useful apps.
I've tried greenify and it was causing more damage than good

Oneplus one overheating

I installed f18 carrier landing from the amazon store.
After playing the game for 5 mins, my phone started to heat a lot.
First I thought it was due to the lollipop update maybe it needed some time to settle down.
But everytime I open that game, my phone gets very hot. ( As hot as Shakira :silly: )
Help me !!
Yeah I have that too. For example playing NFS No Limits. The phone heats up in a moment to the max of 74°C.. I thibk the only options are underclocking and undervolting..

Settings / battery. THe page before the graph you posted - which apps are listed there, and what are the %? (That said, you use the phone a lot - there is a lot of screen on/ awake time on your graph. Turn the screen brightness down maybe?)

I am also getting the issue. I'm on 6-7, 24.3.7, rooted, and if I use it intensely it will go down to 14% before 3:30 PM. I'm surprised, as the issue never happened when I got the phone new.
If your screen is 42%, you're just using it a lot. The Mini has a small battery. Maybe you can try setting brightness down, but it looks like this is drain because you use it rather than a runaway app or process.
That said, Google Play services and Google services have been running high on my usage list lately. There's not much you can do about that, except maybe turn off background sync, which sort of negates the reason I bought a smartphone in the first place.
Battery Doctor
Guys, I have been using Battery Doctor for few days, I have noticed positive effect on battery life. Maybe someone is interested to try..

Cooling the phone!!

Hello everyone!! I've an archos 50 diamond, my problem is that the phone gets a lot hot like it's burning even when i'm just using google maps with gps or watching a video with youtube. I'm afraid the battery will literally blow up.
Is there something (maybe an app to reduce the clock of the processor) I can do?
Thanks everyone for the answer

There is an app called "Coolify Flat" in Play Store. Maybe you can try that.
There a display auto brightness app called lux that works wonderfully. it uses the phones light sensor if it has one. It will have some cooling effect.

Have you tried to find out what is consuming the power?
(Settings -> Power Management and then check "App power consumption" and "Battery usage")

It's normal that your phone is hot when you use intensive multimedia app as maps or youtube...is your device rooted ? If yes you can downclock the speed of CPU
