[KERNEL][GPL][XL] Vengeance [3.0] - Sony Xperia L

Disclaimer
Code:
I am not responsible for anything happening in your life after flashing this kernel.
Hey all. I hate fancy OP's so this thread is rather simple. VK currently works on all stock based 4.2.2 ROM's.
Changelog is down somewhere. You can check it for comprehensive list of changes in each update.
Instructions:
Flash zip in recovery
Some words:
* Integrated cwm ramdisk
* Max clock speed upto 1.4 GHz (Default 1.2 GHz)
* More GPU scaling levels
- Added 128 MHz and 450 MHz (Stock is 400MHz)
* UV support through sys interface
* intelli_plug (set as default instead of mpdecison)
* Dynamic fsync
* CAF backport fixes
* Some tweaks here and there
* Stripped debugging
* init.d support
* no bull****
Don't bother asking for this as I will ignore you:
- GPU/CPU overclock
- sleep2wake
- Stupid governors/iosched
- pointless patches

@Rachit Rawat man can I just say what great work you are doing for this device and we(most people with the device) appreciate the effort though the number of people are less so might be a while before more spams occur for this thread
And I assume you have this device right?

@Rachit Rawat
Well, As far as I remember the stock kernel already had the below
*. Cleancache
*. SWAP support
*. SLUB Memory Allocator
*. ext2/3/4 support
Secondly, I don't really see the benefit of enabling ThumbEE since this execution mode is already deprecated by ARM in 2011 PLUS there is no dalvik port of ThumbEE yet
So there is nothing really using this execution environment and hence the driver is doing nothing other than increasing the kernel's memory footprint

Yep. But I suggest not to replace stock modules. Just add additional ones which you want to use.

I didn't know the job for each module, so I copy all from your module and paste in my system lib module but just skip for replacing..there's I think have six additional module from yours..

Yes, I know I should use search, but please, can anyone explain to me how do smartass and smoothass work in comparison to, for example, conservative and ondemand?
And massive thanks to you mansirawat!
If you already know that you should use the search function, maybe you don't know HOW to use it...
Here's a "tutorial": http://lmgtfy.com/?q=android+governors
Otherwise, you're just plain lazy... which one is it?
Ciaox should see this thread , he is waiting for GB OC Kernel
P.S : Thank you for the Kernel
Otherwise, you prefer wasting perfectly good post space in order to lecture me. Just like half the members of XDA. And the fact that you supposedly come from Romania as well just shows...nah, why bring that up here, all foreigners know it already.
Great! Awesome! Pure awesome!
Thanks a lot!
Stock rooted GB with this kernel (652/320)-> 1152 in quadrant. I don't care too much about those points, but my phone is smoother.

FAQ:
1. My device rebooted or crashed, how can I help?
A: Get me /proc/last_kmsg or logcat.
2. Battery sucks, my device is not entering deep sleep. FIX PLOX!
A: Fix it yourself, it's an app waking your device up not the kernel's problem. Also make sure you let your device settle for at least 2 charging cycles. Typically apps like Facebook and Google Maps can cause problems since they wake it up pretty much all the time
3. Signal is dropping since I flashed the kernel, amg u sucks!
A: The kernel has nothing to do with gsm/cmda signal.
4. Do I need to wipe anything when flashing this kernel?
A: Just wipe cache and Dalvik cache after flashing.
5. Does this kernel has X or Y mod?
A: Learn to read, everything you need to know is in the features list, changelog or public repo.
6. Don't use 3rd party init.d scripts!!!
7. After the device boots, the phone runs at 1.35Ghz. So make sure you set it to whatever frequency you want.
8. For Daily use and best battery life, Recommended Settings are 1Ghz Max, 600Mhz Min, Conservative Governer and CFQ/SIO IO Scheduler.

Your device will boot now, download and flash the kernel.
Your device did not boot becuase I set startup freq to 1.35Ghz so the phone didnt have enough power to turn on.
Now you test the new uploaded kernel, it will boot and you should be fine.

I dont know wheather u have repaired the universal titanium kernel or not but on my xxkpq its not booting. I always happens whenever I use a kernel which is overclocked to 1.35 ghz. But whenever I use UC v9 1009 version kernel which is overclocked to 1.2 ghz only then my phone always boot successfully. Its something related to overclocking above 1.2ghz which my phone is not accepting.

I built it from source and with the permissions of the original source owner... and if mods feels that this shouldn't be here they can move it ! I dont want somebody to spam this thread with negative posts.. Many threads in this part of forum are based on others sources...
As per XDA Rules;
Kernels which are built with beneficial changes that are not simply pulled from other kernels already available. Some element of original work is expected.
This one has many BENEFICIAL Changes..
Bottom line: If mods feels they can move it ! Thanks..
@c4cyro Thanks
Uhhh... I was thinking its for JLO to when i saw cwm and twrp integrated i was like omg,finally+oc added... but now i see its just for Miro

Can you try to make new kernel jelly bean from vengeance 1.46 ,just add oc back and add cwm for xperia j???
Overclocked and tuned JB kernel for Stock Xperia J will be released, so no need to ask people who don't have this device to make it

are you sure you tested it properly?
cause' i just flashed the kernel and there is no cwm.
i tried many times but it only boots to twrp.
also once it's in twrp, the touch starts to work only after a delay of like 10 seconds. next if you leave the phone while flashing in twrp, the screen will go off..and never come back on. you have to pull the battery.(this used to happen in vengeance too)
somehow i flashed the rom by not letting the screen go off. but it's not even booting, only at the white sony logo(not boot animation).

@c4cyro Both recoveries are working fine.. Video Coming up shortly... Check OP soon...
EDIT:
Video Link: Here
well it did'nt work for me! il try again later!
EDIT : downloaded kernel again. flashed. no access to cwm. tried vol - and + both. everytime it goes into twrp only. and same touch issue in twrp.
@ShivangDave
I want the source code of this kernel.
Thanks,
Yash
EDIT: Current forked kernel source code is not yet updated according to your changes.
Simple proof: The CPU Clock file is not yet updated with your new frequencies
(i.e.
1.008 Ghz
1.114 Ghz
1.229 Ghz
1.306 Ghz )
Hey @ OP can you please add support for FXP CM10???????????

[XPeria E,J,MIRO,TIPO]Adreno200 Optimization

XPERIA ADRENO 200 optimization...
Why? because only tested in Mobile's with Adreno200
I'm Use this in XPERIA x8 2 years ago...here
I'm update some configs for Xperia E
so this work...
What does it do?
The configuration file consists of multiple options, each which do their very own unique 'tweaking' to the way the GPU performs.
The purpose of this is to optimize the performance of adreno libraries.
Giving a fluency device using HW
Optimized for Play games and faster responsivines...Like TouchScreen response
and playing games without delays or lag.
Code:
Optimized for JellyBean Devices..
Added some tweaking
Requeriments:
CWM
Rooted device
init.d support Tutorial HERE --> Tutorial to add init.d support
How to install?
download zip and cpy into Sd card
Reboot device and enter into CWM/TWRP
search zip and flash with CWM
Reboot and Enjoy!
PHP:
changelog:
* Disabled MSSAA
* Force shader direct updates
* Use 2D hardware BLTs
* Disabled VMem Allocation Error Stresser.
* MSAAMode not forced and not buffered. increase performance
* MultiSampling Antialiasing (MSAA)(some features disabled)
* Disabled GPU blit BLT
* Disabled Dynamic textures.
* Tiled textures are faster to render, but slower to load.(disabled)
* Disable GPU/CPU sync on timestamp after SwapBuffers. This will force concurrent CPU/GPU rendering, overriding synchronous swaps.

It does have ICS.
@TeamMex The Xperia E dual has ICS, but if we flash the FTF on the Xperia E single, it works.
BTW, awesome! I'll try it out right now!
UPDATE: Definitely feels faster - thanks! I'll try a few games just to make sure.

CWM is obviously, if it says CWM requirements
to add init.d support you need search init.d enabler you can use pimp.my rom from market
some testers say this can flash with flash gordon http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250555
(lockedBootloaders)
cheers.

yep bro
great work
I wanna try this on CM11
Hopefully, it will somewhat negate the problem of the new libchromium webview so we don't have to use the old libwebcore.
Even if it doesn't should give a nice performance increase.

I builded Kitkat for xperia E and you can use Libchromium webview without any problem.
Only need changes on Atheros library, Media-caf and other changes,
But i dont have this device so im working more slow :/
Send from My NExus 7 using my XPerience-NXT ROM android 4.4.2 with my own kernel XPerience 14

on tipo/J the new webview is very slow. Older EGL blobs seem to have trouble running it.

Why don't you just make a backup and flash it to see?
Hasn't anyone a sense of adventure here anymore?
It works on JLO but I don't feel any difference with or without that tweak

Sense of adventure... LOL.
Anybody tested on ICS? I don't have ICS right now, but plan on flashing it soon.
