nice screens!

Three folders, each for Messaging, Social networking and news respectively.
Just a single home screen to keep it simple. I had a clock on lock screen but latest UCCW update messed it up.

I got 25hours of backup with 5 hours of screentime and 2-3hours of music. And I was playing stick cricket most of the time so that drained a lot of battery too. My phone usually lasts 2 days with ~6hours of screentime and music I'm a pro in saving battery while not compromising on functionality, been doing it from over 2 years now. I even use Google Now which drains a lot of battery, it's handy for summer football transfer news. I've just disabled Sony's bloatware that seemed to eat a lot of battery. I don't even use stamina mode.

An amazing weather application

Al right, first of all, I am not the developer or want to advertise this commercially, but you really have to check this out. Unfortunately it is not free, but the widget they have is simply perfect.
It's called Palmary Weather version 1.2 is just out and I was following them for a while, because I knew this version comes with widget.
this is a picture of FULL widget, it comes with different options, this is 4x4.
As you can see the below part change with nice information when you tap it.
It has 5 different information bars integrated in one widget which I think it is graphically stunning. I do admit I found the apk through google, and I will see the coming days if the information is accurate. When it is as accurate as it looks, I definately will buy it.
Here some screens from my phone, where you can see the 5 different informations you get in the widget.
you noticed I am a bit enthousiastic about this
Cheers,
Arnold
I agree, that IS beautiful indeed.
I do have one question though, can it detect the correct location via GPS/Cell Tower Info? I adore that functionality in Beautiful Widgets' weather widget.
Looks great! Do you know what weather services it uses ? Just want to know if i can use it in my city.
You can detect "my location" and it works.
I tested Bhubaneswar, it is now 26 degrees celsius there and a few clouds, further a shiny night it says. Correct?

Maybe you have a bigger font installed. Compared to my screens your font seems a bit larger, which means it needs more space. Its only a guess, but try to install another font for a while, just to rule this out...
Also my temperature start a bit higher comparing to your moon sign for some reason. Mine is at 4x4, yours too I think?. I just shouting some possible reasons, I am not sure of course....
I use adw laucher and have set 6 rows and 5 coloums....try that too... I am curious why yours is not showing the whole number....

Post Your Screenshots

I’m surprised no one else has started this thread yet, but I guess since most don’t yet have S-Off and root it has not happened. The AlpharevX team are starting to make real progress in gaining S-Off without the need for XTC Clip, so it shouldn’t be long until we can all take screen shots!
All the other HTC family forums have the ‘Post Your Screenshots’ thread. I found it very helpful when I had my Desire. It’s where we can all share our knowledge on mods, widgets, wallpapers, themes....
If you post your screenshots, please also state what you have used to make them so others don’t have to ask. There is a very helpful widget guide from the Desire forum called ‘Most Wanted Widgets’ created by timmmah.l if you want some inspiration. Don’t forget to thank him!
I’ll also kick things off with my collection of 250+ wallpapers for you download and use. The vast majority of these I have gotten from the fantastic ‘Zedge’ app. Download from my Dropbox here...
http://db.tt/KxACVli
Don’t forget to give credit to mods/themes/skins if they are not your own. For example see my thread for the extra Skins here...

Happy modding!

Mine is stock, so there's not much point showing mine, but I did want to post about an app that you can get (if you want to go searching for the apk, it is free just not availible outside Korea atm) called Tap Sonic. Runs really well on Desire S until you start trying to do 16ths correctly, which I think is just optimization issues xD
Also O2Jam Analog (another korean music game for android) runs pretty smoothly on the phone as well, some lag, runs at about 20 - 30 fps and goes lower with lots of notes on screen at once but most of the time I've been playing it runs smooth enough
I'll probably post up the one screen I use on my phone (because I hardly use the homescreens except the middle one as I like everything accessible from the front screen)

Fancy widget drains the battery

I have a problem with Fancy widget.
My battery takes about 2-3 days to discharge and I'm happy for this, but at the end of the battery, before charging it, if I open the menu Device Info - Battery usage, I can see that Fancy widget takes from 13% to 30%. I think it is too much. I have also tried to set Fancy widget without auto update and without auto location but with no success.
Is it normal for you, this battery usage?
Sorry for my english.
Could you post a screen shot where it shows Fancy Widget is using 30% of the battery ?
I think its highly unlikely that any widget could use that much battery.
Lol, a screenshot where a Galaxy R lasts 3 days would be more interesting!
I will post a screenshot when the battery is almost empty.
Thank you.

My friend which widgets of Fancy Widgets are you using ?
To reduce the battery usage I'll suggest you do the following:
- Configure Fancy Widget => Refresh Settings => Auto Refresh Never.
In the same menu do the following:
- Refresh on Unlock => Refresh Weather Only
- Unlock Refresh Delay => Set to 59mins
- Refresh on WiFi only => Tick(Optional)
- Now go to Location Settings => Untick 'Geo Location' & 'GPS'(Put in the location manually)
Do update here if this helps.
I'm using 4x1 Fancy widget with Lg skin but the same was without skin.
Now I try your specification but last week I have set the widget with no geolocations, no gps and no auto update without improvement.

HI
thanks for your excellent work
The app is really nice and I would like to use it on regular base
I bought the app but I am not using it because of the issue regarding the transparent widgets that leave an horrible gap on the screen (being 4 by 2 widgets where the info is compressed instead in the 4 by 1 space)
This is the Fifth time I mention it in the last week, I have posted few pictures of the problem (in the S8 thread)
In the meantime 2-3 updates of your app went out but this problem is still there
I have noticed that you are updating and improving your app and this is very much appreciated
I am not asking to solve the problem, my only request is to know if this is on your list of works to do
A replay would be very much appreciated just to be sure to be not transparent and to be read
Thanks
Best regards
I bought your application.Every time it is updated
simple, looks good, such hefty price tag for such simple app.
Thank you for the new update.
I appreciate the new widgets.
However there is a problem with the new forecast widget. At 4x1 the bottom is cut off. I have to expand the widget to 4x2 in order for the bottom line to show.

nice app,thanks for your work
Last update kinda changed the Air condition levels . Last weeks it showed almost all the time around 45-48 and now shows only 2 for the last days , no changes . Is there any change in the provider of the data ?
I cannot resize the widgets. No matter how big I make the rectangle containing the widget, the size of the widget itself stays the same...
Thank you for fixing the widget problem in the last update.
