Need Help For the TWRP..! - Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500

Hi.. I just saw the new TWRP and liked it alot!. So i downloaded the TWRP for Trebon and also downloaded the Odin3 on my pc. And then i put my phone into the download mode and connected by USB. But the ID COM box wont come up.. The ODIN3 is just not detecting my phone .. Dunno why..
I tried installing drivers for my phone but it didnt work.
I also installed Kies after that but no use.. I used 2 versions of Odin3 i.e. Odin3 v1.85 and Odin3 v3.x.. But still its not detecting my phone..
So can anyone pleazz help!!
(Using SGA+ with the cm10)

are you sure you installed the drivers
* disable or remove kies
* Install drivers again (windows) select correctly 32/64 bits
or try this simple method.
INSTALLATION 1:
0. Uninstal previous Samsung USB drivers from Control Panel and Device Manager.
1. Unpack the .rar archive and run the installer from "SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.20.0\setup.exe" and proceed with the installation steps.
2. Switch your Samsung phone into download mode
3. Connect it to your computer via USB cable.
4. If your phone is still not correctly recognized by Odin - try the second method.
INSTALLATION 2:
0. Uninstall previous Samsung USB drivers from "Programs And Features" and "Device Manager".
1. This is the "have disk" method. You have to follow every step in this guide.
2. Unpack SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.20.0.rar to some location, eg. C:\.
3. Switch your Samsung phone into download mode.
4. Connect it to your computer via USB cable.
5. Your phone should become discovered by Windows as some device. In my case, Windows has found my SGS i9000 as a "Gadget Serial" device.
6. Go to Windows Device Manager. Right click on the device your phone has been discovered as (eg. "Gadget Serial" in my case) and choose "Update driver" option from the context menu.
7. Choose "Search my Computer...", check "Include subfolders" option and point the updater to the folder where you've had unpacked the drivers .rar archive to, eg. C:\SAMSUNG USB Drivers for Mobile Phones (x86 & x64) v1.5.16.0.
8. The driver should install automatically.
9. It may happen that after the installation some new "unknown device" ("Samsung Modem" in my case) would appear in the Device Manager. Complete 6 & 7 step for that device and any other new device that may appear afterwards.
10. Restart your computer.
11. Done!

[Q] Rooting doesn't work? on a Spica

So I think I may be bricked....
I always had issues installing the drivers for my Spica (Portal here) on my Win7 laptop, but eventually I sorted it out so that Odin would pick it up and I got a pass from Leshak's kernel.
It was operational until I tried installing the firmware; the one that I had packaged with the kernel couldn't install Busybox. I tried a few other firmwires; an older one (which I had to re-root using the spica.ops rather than spica_jc3), CM 7 and CM 7 from this kitchen rom thing.
Those three all returned something like "Could not format system"
So assumedly recovery doesn't actually have root access, and I have tried rerooting it using Odin to no avail.
Any advice? Could it be drivers, is there an alternative PDA file I could use, am I doing a setting in Odin wrong?
Thanks!
Have you read that ? :
Code:
Prerequisites
- Android 2.1 Firmware Login - (Please register to download)
- Odin Multi Downloader 4.03 Odin4_03-Spica_ops.zip
- Spica Drivers Deposit Files (If it doesn't work install Kies and quit Kies when you need to flash)
Or get http://www.strefapc.pl/download/firmware/USB_Driver.rar .This is samsung's USB driver that comes with KIES
- MicroUSB Cable
- Fully Charged Phone

7a. If the zip you downloaded for Android 2.1 Firmware only contains 1 file check "One Package" and click on One Package to select that file you extracted
7b. If the zip you downloaded for Android 2.1 Firmware only contains many files click on each of the option and choose the files accordingly.
8. Select OPS and select the ops file that came with Odin Multi Downloader (It should be 85 bytes)
9. Select Start
10. The phone will start flashing and automatically restart (If it gets stuck remove the battery and set to flash mode and try again)
Note: it can take a while after it restarts.

11. After restarting your phone should have a SamdroidTools and Superuser Permissions in the app drawer.
I never had a problem with flash spica using Odin. The drivers are compatibile with Win7 - i used Win7 64bit myself
Had a read through and it's everything I've done already!
Note: Recovery can't clear the dalvik cache or wipe the SD card either - seems like a permissions kind of thing
So maybe option "fix permission" could help.
You can find it in a advanced settings in recovery.
You can also try flash in Odin cyanogenmod 8.3 for odin. Is avaible on samdroid somewhere.

[GUIDE I9500] [SOLVED] MTP device driver error 10 FIX

Please notice: this has been done on i9500 device. you can try it on your i9505 it 100% not dangerous, but I dont know if its working
Well im using i9500 custom rum running android 4.2.2 and I had a problem: whenever i connect my phone to PC it says: "unknown device MTP device driver error 10 device can not start."
METHOD 1:
**make sure your device is disconnected from the PC.
** make sure that usb debugging is enabled (go to 'developer mode')
1) Open Xposed Installer and go to Framework and UNINSTALL it.
2) reboot your phone. (NOT soft reboot- full one).
3) On your PC, go to "driver manager" and under "universal drivers" section, delete "unknown device". (right click-> delete)
4) restart your PC.
5) connect your PC to the computer, it should work now.
6) you can now reinstall Xposed module. reboot your phone (again- not soft reboot) and reconnect it to your PC just to make sure its still working)
METHOD 2:
STEP 1
**MOST CRITICAL: Update ALL your PC drivers using driver software I personally use 'advanced optimizer pro'. UPDATE YOUR BIOS AS WELL! [/COLOR]
- Update drivers using a software.
-Update your bios.
-Download windows updates (start->type 'windows update' in search bar, click on 'windows update'-> 'check for updates'. dont forget to check optional update as well').
dont forget to restart!
now after you are sure both bios and drivers are up to date, try the following
STEP 2/2
- I downloaded and installed samsung drivers
-Try to connect your phone with ANOTHER cable.
-Try to connect your phone to ANOTHER port (this can indicates where the problem is: maybe the cable/port is corrupt)
-I tried deleting ALL samsung drivers and reinstall
-tried connecting my old s1 i9000. try to connect another phone to see where is the problem- phone or maybe computer.
-try to connect phone while its in 'download mode' and recovery mode.
-try running windows error kit.
-download Android ToolKit.
- if non of the above are working, you can always try FULL WIPE+ REFLASH ROM . (or try flashing another rom).
*if its still not working ever after performing all the steps above under method 2, try restart your PC and try Method 1 AGAIN WITH A DIFFERENT PORT AND CABLE. there might be a chance that you have a 'combined' problem (several issues that preventing from your MTP driver to work properly.
After downloading drivers you can be sure 100% ALL YOUR PC DRIVERS ARE PERFECT, try Method 1 again.
METHOD 3
***Coming soon on next update
worked for me with:
custom android 4.2.2 OzcanRom all version including v5.0 according to sep 20 2014.
stock kernel. no system files have been ever modified
working with android 4.1 and above.
Windows 7 SP1 64bit Updated Sep10 2014.

yup im talking about the device manger. i will update the thread soon.
you may find one of the following with an error:
1) universal bus controller.
2) MTP driver failed
try to update both of them or uninstall them
tomorrow i will upload METHOD 3
plus method 4 is on its way..
Method 1 No5 -typo
You will connect your phone to the PC, not the computer to the PC...
Also, updating a BIOS is not straight toward and can cause a bricked pc. Be careful advising people to do that

Soft bricked Panasonic P81

Hi Friends,
This is my first post at XDA.
I unfortunately bricked my Panasonic P81 after rooting it and adding XHalo app and the boot manager app from the Xposed Framework.
The situation is as follows-
I can get to the logo, it screams Panasonic and then doesnt boot. I dont have CWA installed and worse, my SD card which had my stock backup is also lost. This means I need a mechanism to stock recover and perhaps flash boot.img and recovery.img?
I am stuck at this point, not sure how to proceed. I can get to recovery, have cleaned cache, backed up user data ,done a factory reset. Even after factory reset it still cant boot.
Please help me with a step-by-step instruction to recover, this phone is dear to me. How do I flash?(boot.img or rom) I have downloaded Sagar Patel's (good bless him!) backup and the images, but need guidance on how to flash and recover.
Please help friends and apologies for any incovenience. I am still a newbie

Driver-USB-PC connection problem

Hope drivers are installed properly in your pc.
If you are going to use sp flash tool, Make sure SP flash tool is set to auto-detect com port, not manual selection
If you find that it is driver problem, following may help you.
Please note that there is nothing that much hard in driver installation as it is just to connect your device with your pc but because many users still face problem of driver installation, you can try following tricks!!!
It is observed by me that driver installation and adb interface problem do not happen in windows XP as eventually and generally it is happened in windows 7 and later…so, you can simply try on windows xp if you are able to do so…(you can use dual operating system too!!! Or good relation with neighbor/friends/colleagues/someone/all can be beneficial here!!!)
Note that all tricks here are not necessary to work, but it may still work for you….
Take one by one step, if the first step does not work for you, only then try next step. This is not all steps to be taken at once type guide…This is simply Try and error type tutorial/tricks…
There are following problems I have come to know regarding to driver installation and conflicts:-
Device is charging through usb cable but there is no usb option displaying on either device or no driver installation box/message/pop up appears in pc….
Missing sound of that usb-pc connection
Sound of disconnection after couple of seconds of connection
Adb interface is missing
Ok, sometimes changing usb connection type for example, from mass storage or mtp to camera, ptp, usb tethering or something else can bring adb interface…..
Try with different USB Cable. You can use original nokia or samsung tiny cable instead of cable having long length. Sometimes, length matters!!!!
Try in different USB Port.
Sometimes, you have to disable signature verification in your pc for proper installation of driver.
Had you disabled your antivirus before downloading, installing and while running your tools/softwares? You may need to do so…
Have you installed the software (or say, all associated softwares/tools) in C-System drive?, if not, then you should first install required software/tools in system drive that is usually C drive in Microsoft-Windows OS…or try after installing them on desktop.
Keep all necessary files/tools (driver files, flash tools, rom etc…) on desktop.
Download proper driver According to your model/device, According to chipset inside, According to Official site of manufacturer, Official site of chipset, through PC Suite/flash program of your device…
If the problem still not solve, you should try all available driver packages of your device one by one whether from official site of chipset inside your device, or any forum, adb, pdanet+ or foxfi, universal driver, VCOM Port driver, drivers from hexamob through play store, and find all possible packages and see if someone make positive result after installation…
If the problem still not solve, you should install remaining update packages of your system (PC) including all primary, secondary, essential, Non-essential updates….whatever, just install them all….reboot your pc…and see if problem is solved….
If you can connect the device but somehow found that device driver still not installed properly, just go to device manager in your pc, click on portable device, right click on your device and apply “Update driver”. Click on “automatically search” when a window prompt ask you.
If the problem still persists then,
Just remove all the drivers using usbdeview (I have given link also to download usbdeview in earlier post)
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B511A2txfpAPbmwtQXZqbnVlT1U&usp=sharing
Install usbdeview and remove all the drivers
You can also fix this by showing the nonpresent devices in devicemanagement (google for show nonpresent devices for explanation)
Go to com ports, and delete all mediatek drivers except preloader driver. Now start over. It can help if you choose the same usb port where you had success last time.
Use Usbdeview to uninstall all the drivers before connection, restart the pc, Extract and keep driver zip files and other useful files/tools on desktop…just start your tool… and try to perform your tasks like backup…or restoring the backup…without worrying about that sound of disconnection you may listened after couple of seconds of connection or don’t even worry if you are just missing that sound of usb-pc connection….just try on your tool…
If still problem of driver installation persists, then simply use usbdeview and uninstall all drivers, restart your pc and try following steps:-
There are various ways to install proper drivers at the time of connecting the device with pc depending upon how you connect it.
Follow the procedure both with and without battery
Simply plug in via USB Cable
Connect by holding volume down button
Connect by holding volume up button
Connect by holding Power button
Connect by holding power and volume down
Connect by holding power and volume up
Connect by holding both volume up and down button
Connect by holding thrice volume up, down and power button
Connect by holding power and home button
Connect by holding power and menu button
Remember which method works and which drivers are installed
in LAN-Devices you may have different android device
Select/set drivers by hand and use the mtk usb driver, now Flashtool finds the phone
Suppose holding volume down method without battery works for you then what next you have to do is as below:-
1.TAKE THE BATTERY ,SD ,SIM OUT OF THE PHONE
2.HOLDING VOLUME DOWN CONNECT IT TO PC VIA USB(ONCE YOU HEAR A SOUND FROM PC YOU CAN RELEASE VOLUME DOWN)
3.OPEN DEVICE MANAGER(ON COMPUTER SEARCH IT OR CONTROL PANEL)
4.WAIT FOR 2-3 MINUTES
5.YOU WILL HEAR A SOUND & OTHER DEVICE WILL BE DISPLAYED
6.IN OTHER DEVICES ->MT65XX PRE-LOADER
7.RIGHT CLICK MT65XX PRELOADER
8.UPDATE DRIVER
9.LOCATE THE DRIVERS PROVIDED ACCORDING TO YOUR OS(VISTA,WIN7,XP)
10.IT WILL DO ITS STUFF
Install Mediatek drivers, preloaders, VCOM port etc…
Manually Install MediaTek USB VCOM Drivers
Requirement:-
1. Download MediaTek USB VCOM Drivers
2. Download USBDeview
Here is the link from you can get it:-
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B511A2txfpAPbmwtQXZqbnVlT1U&usp=sharing
Procedure
(* Note: You might need to disable drivers signature verification in Windows for this to work smoothly.
If you want to turn off device driver signing in Windows completely, do the following.
Windows 7:-
1. Hit the Win+R keys together to open the run dialog
2. Type gpedit.msc to open the local groups policy
editor
3. Expand ‘Administrative Templates’ (it’s under ‘User Configuration’)
4. Expand ‘System’. Click ‘driver Installation’
5. In the right panel, double click on ‘Code Signing for Device Drivers’
6. Choose ‘Enabled’ in the window that appears.
7. In the underlying options, choose ‘Ignore’
8. This disables drivers signing in Windows 7, and now you can install unsigned drivers in Windows 7.
9. Click Apply, OK. Restart your computer to install unsigned drivers
Windows 8
1. Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and press the letter C to open the Charm menu, then click the gear icon (Settings)
2. Click More PC Settings
3. Click General
4. Under Advanced Startup, click Restart Now
Note: In Windows 8.1, the ‘Restart Now’ button has moved to ‘PC Setting -> Update & Recovery -> Recovery.’
5. After restarting, click Troubleshoot
6. Click advanced options
7. Click Windows Startup Settings
8. Click Restart
9. After restarting your computer a second time,
choose Disable driver signature enforcement
from the list by typing the number 7 on your Keyboard Your computer will restart automatically.
10. After restarting, you will be able to install
unsigned drivers normally; however, Windows
will display a warning message. When the
warning appears, click Install this driver
software anyway. )
1. Install USBDeview and use it to uninstall all Vcom, Mediatek and Preloader drivers
1b. Extract the contents of the Mediatek USB VCOM file
2. In Windows, go to Control Panel and open Device Manager
3. Click any of the device groups (any of the items on the list) you see there, and then from Action menu, select Add legacy hardware
4. Add hardware wizard will be opened, click next
5. Select Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)
6. Click next two times and click Have Disk button
7. Click browse and find where your driver's .inf file is, then select it (the .inf you'll select is located in drivers > USB Vcom driver > your OS) . Ensure to select the 64 bit .inf if your PC is 64 bit
8. Click Open and OK. You will see the drivers listed.
9. Select your driver there (select Mediatek Preloader USB VCOM Port)
10. Click Next and finish installing
11. If SP flash tool or other software still dont detect your phone then also install Mediatek DA VCOM (consider installing more from the list of drivers one at a time if need be)
Try in different PC
Sometimes windows XP works when windows 7 fails!!!
Case:-
It did the same thing with my MT6577 (Wiko Cink PEAX), so I connected it with a battery and without holding VOL+. Then "MT65xx preloader" appeared in device manager then disappeared (once). It is normal that it disappears. When you start Flash_tool and when you click Download (or whatever you want to do) THEN you connect the phone (in off state), and the flash operation will succeed.
Guess what? Once my Panasonic P81 could install driver and got detected after approx. 5 hours of continuous connection with win 7 x64!!! Meanwhile, I tried first usbdeview and then manually installation of mediatek driver but manual installation had failed as my p81 was only charging when it was connected with pc….So, mediatek – windows 7 conflicts….but, when I tried tiny (very small) nokia usb cable, it works instantly…
If you ever meet problem when you connect your android with your pc via usb cable and find that your android is charging but could not recognize or there isn’t that options of “USB connection” then just disconnect your android, power off it, remove battery, connect it without battery with your pc through usb, let it have some time to recognize your android or hear that voice of “usb connection” you were just missing…after that, insert battery and switch on your android…you are done!!!
Sometimes removing both sim cards and battery and then re-inserting them after a couple of seconds also works.
Try with different USB Cable
Try in different USB Port
Try in different PC
Sometimes windows XP works when windows 7 fails!!!
Use usbdeview to remove all the usb devices and then add your device
Find proper driver of your device:-

In my opinion MIUI is best because it has a self large community like xda and launch updates per month so many that you will fed up installing them.....if you download and install one update you will be amazed that it will say 3 more system updates pending......and if you complain a bug next month it got fixed.....only thing is to find one...
PS don't download the miui 6 for p81..complained by many p81 user that it hard bricked the device.
And that miui is not official i.e. some developer made his own one and DO not tested that it works or not......

Galaxy J7 Memory Problem

Hello!
Please please help me!!!!
My Problem:
After factory reset (even before) without any installation I have only 541MB from 639MB of Phone memory free, when I connect it to the PC.
SD Card memory is OK.
So I had always problems with installing for example Navigon or other programs, because the phone says alwas: Less memory, please add new memory.
So I want to root it, OR MAYBE THERE IS AN OTHER WAY TO EXENT THE MEMORY.
Because inside the phone, when I check the memory via android 5.1.1 there are more GB free.
But I cannot root it, because odin and kies cannot find the J700F Model.
So I trtied different drivers.
Please Please help, or give me some comment what I could try!!!
Best regards
Hook
There android 6.0.1 available for the j700f. If you google search... updato archives, on youre computer or laptop then type in j700f in the firmware search bar and the firmware will show up. Id try a fresh install of the firmware and see that helps. Id post a link but i havent reached 10 posts yet.. id try to update the firmware to 6.0.1 marshmallow and see if that fixes it.
Here you go ....
http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?q=j700f
Thanks!!!

Many many Thnaks for helping!!!!!!!!
Yes, I read about it, but my Problem is that I also cannot use Odin.
See Post:
I have an really big problem with my phone: "SM-J700F"
I am not able to connect via odin or kies to this one.
But in windowes explorer (Win7 64bit) everything is visible.
In MTP Mode, Usb-Storage and PTP mode.
Also I can acess to the phone via the explorer.
But not with odin and/or Kies.
I tried to installit several times (Kies also Kies3)
Then I tried another win7 computer, but with same result.
The reason is, i wont to root the phone, because of low memory, even after reseting to factory.
I hope really a lot that there is an solution!!!!
--------
And additional Information:
When I connect my Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo, everything is working.
So I compared the used driver for both phone (S5 is OK), (J7 is not) in the device manager of windows.
So below you see the entries when the phone is connected:
S5 Neo - OK:
-Modem: Samsung Mobile USB Modem
-Samsung Android Phone: Samsung Android ADB Interface
-Tragbare Geräte: Galaxy S5 Neo (translated means: carryable device)
-USB Controller: Samsung Mobile USB Composite Device
Same with J700F - Not OK:
- Modem: entity is not existing ---> difference
-Samsung Android Phone: Samsung Android ADB Interface ---> is equal
-Tragbare Geräte: full_tangxun6572_we_I ---> different, is the Name whitch is visible in windows explorer
-USB Controller: USB Verbindungsgerät (translatet: USB Connection Device) ---> different (this Entity is already existing, even when no phone is connected)
So I tried to update exactly this driver with the downloaded one from Samsung. For this I had to use no compactible hardware.
When I select almost all INF driver, the right driver was visible during installation, but it could not start (code 10)
I think this is somehow the problem.
With the driver "USB Verbindungsgerät" on the windows side everything is OK. Copy to phone, explore,...
But I think that Kies and Odin don't find the acces point to the USB samsung device....the bridge to this device.
Maybe there is an possibility go give odin an additional command, where odin connect to the right port (_#0006) and HUB (_#0004) which I see in the USB Verbindungsgerät....
1. Usb debugging on
2. Oem Unlock enabled if its in dev settings,
3. Connect usb to phone and computer
4. Boot into download mode
5. Open odin
6. Select pda
7. Select the firmware file
8. Click start
9. Wait a little bit for the firmware to load
8. Firmware flashes
9. Profit
If the firmware fails to load in odin after 1 minute then you must decompress the zip file and extract the firmwares tar and then flash the tar instead of zip.
Not sure what happened to youre phone but it sounds more like at one time it was rooted and some system modifications have caused it to mess up things.. if you havent done any system modifications then its a strange bug..
In odin it will have a blue box up in the com area up at the top left of odin if its blue then you are connected. If its blue and file fails to load it must be decompressed and extracted so its just the tar file..
Look and see does even a blue box show in odin when youre connected?
Not working --- what is wrong?

Hi!
I tested it again (same prozedure on 2 computers)
1. Usb debugging on -> done!
2. Oem Unlock enabled if its in dev settings, -> done!
3. Connect usb to phone and computer -> done!
4. Boot into download mode -> done!
5. Open odin -> done!
The Problem is, that ODIN cannot find the phone.
There is nothing below "ID:COM" no entity!
So I cannot go forward.
I treid on 2 PCs. Same result.
But interesting ist that from windows I can acces to the phone.
But not via odin and Kies.
Maybe you can give me information whitch driver should be used in the device manager?
Interesting is that Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo is working with this procedure....
I am really sad, and I hope so much that you can help!!!

Sorry, but in this tread I would like you to ask about the memory points.
Why I have so less memory in the J700F?
Is it normal?

Some news?!
What I found out:
When I use *#0808#
There is SP selected and RNDIS+ACM+DM+ADB
Bit when I select MTP+ADB the other one is not deselected and I cannot continue?
Means with OK - no function and Reboot - no function (then both are selected....!)
Do you can support me here?
