Bt Part3 - http://bit.ly/BT5p3
[ How To : File Setup ]
u need to do this only once
download the files from the links provided in this thread
extract the files using 7zip to a temporary folder (needs 3.3GB free on that drive)
connect ur HTC Sensation to PC and mount USB storage
create a folder named 'bt' (without quotes) in the root of ur sdcard and copy all files from extracted from bt.z.001-002-003 in that folder
once u verify that the above is correct then un-mount usb storage
check the /sdcard/bt folder if still exist with any file manager
final directory structure should look like this:
/sdcard/bt/bt
/sdcard/bt/bt.img
/sdcard/bt/installbt.sh
/sdcard/bt/startbt
/sdcard/bt/stopbt
[*]once u verify that the above is correct then u can proceed
[ How To : Launch BT ]
start Terminal Emulator app on ur HTC Sensation and enter the following commands step by step (accept/allow any SuperUser request/popup that u may receive)
su
[*]cd /sdcard/bt
[*]sh installbt.sh
[*]startbt
[*]bt
now u are in BackTrack5 shell
to launch GUI (vncserver) enter the following command
ui

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
now note the number N shown localhost:N
e.g. as u can see from the above image that "New 'X' desktop is localhost:1", so N=1
the vncserver is running at (5900 + N, N=1 ; so server port is 5901)
now launch androidVNC app or any other vnc viewer on phone and fill in the detials as follows
Nick : bt
Address : 127.0.0.1
Port : 5901
Password : 12345678
Username : <leave it blank>
Color Format : 24-bit color (4 bpp)
and then press connect... now u are in BackTrack GUI!
u can access from your computer to if u are both connected in same wireless[your pc+your phone] with your wireless IP[HTC wifi ip]
f u want to exit/close BT5 then u need to follow these steps:
close the androidVNC app (Menu -> Disconnect)
go back into Terminal Emulator app and enter the following commands
u should be at this shell [email protected]:~#
killui
[*]exit
now u will get back to this shell> #
now enter the following commands to stop bt and exit
stopbt
[*]exit
[*]exit
u can now exit the Terminal Emulator app
i would also recommend that u reboot ur phone
[ Important Info ]
root password is 12345678
thnx to: anantshri-for his tutorial, files and his release of BT5
great work, thanks
[ TIPS ]
changing root password:
on terminal after runin BT write: passwd than confirm new password.
If you want to change VNC password:
on terminal after runin BT write: vncpasswdthan confirm new password.
prefered to kill and run vnc again by killui and than ui to start vnc
Changing screen size and making for HTC Sensation:
nano /root/bin/ui
change 850x480 to 960x500

does our nic support packet injection ?
unfourtently not because will be a fuc*in awesom feature
maybe developers can take a look on it, but first of all they must like sec and pentesting

what brand is htc sensation wifi? if anyone can tell us we can find if the nic can come in promicious mode...
maybe Lee can support us in this direction... lets hope..
Well even if it doesnt support packet injection cant a driver be written to support that? I believe it was done for other wifi cards... idk though i just did this once as a little project
backtrack is pointless without injection. LOL

Yeah pretty much this, haha it sounds interesting but I'm lost.
If I do this, will it not override my ARHD ROM?
I couldn't manage the code nano /root/bin/ui to correct the resolution
after I change it what should i do to save it???

If you do not know what Backtrack is... perhaps this isnt something you should try
(It's a linux build for (among a LOT of other things) testing wireless security and finding holes... ie WIFI cracking (for WEP as WPA is a HUGE pain in the arse...))

Okay, here's the problem. The application is wonderful it works. Unfortunately, when I run a written program, it doesn't show any output. A black box appears for a split second and then disappears but no output. Can you help????? And yes it was a simple program to print hello world so don't expect any errors from my side.

I recently downloaded turbo c app but when I started typing a program I found that the greater than sign is not working with my turbo c. When I tried to use greater than (>) sign in my message box and kingsoft office it is working well but when I used it in turbo c for Android then greater than (>) sign got changed into two dots ). now please help me out of this tragedy...

[App][2.2+]Boot Spash Screen Changer [discontinued]

Hi guys, I always wanted to change my Boot Splash Screen (that thing that shows before the Boot Animation)
So i tryed to write a simple app. This will work on every device, how ever I need testers to confirm.
This Application needs Root Access and CWM or TWRP in order to work.
So I didn't manage to get a working conversion from png to rle on the Android platform it self, however I wrote a windows Converter.
Get it :
Please not that this is a pre alpha, so don't be mad if you think it sucks.
There is much more to come but I need to test this feature now to resume developing it.
- alpha 5
Bugfix
- alpha 4
Added Option to use a Advanced methode and flash the image via your computer, this will increase compatibility
Updated the Injector
Change the Folder to /sdcard/Android-Splashscreen_Changer
- alpha 3
the Error where the busybox detection didn't worked should be fixed now
Disabling boot animation is now stable and enabled [from my point of view it is really a bit faster, could be placebo]
- alpha 2
Fixed a bug where a failure wouldn't be detected
Added a Report option
Implemented the option of disabling the boot animation. This is currently disabled because it is to unstabel.Next release. thanks to : defiant07
Added option to change the bootanimation
New Icon thanks McFex
- alpha 1
Added a server to easily download the Converter to your PC
- Pre-alpha1: https://www.dropbox.com/s/z530xpgaw5cmrfq/pre-alpha-1.apk
- Converter for Windows : https://www.dropbox.com/s/x0sfxwx7deuqquh/PNG-2-RLE.exe

The manual way :
1. Resize the png file to your screen dimensions
2. place it in the same folder as the executabel Conveter
3. Name the rle
Code:

4. Place it inside the
Code:

5. Flash this zip using recovery

Help :
There is still a lot of work to do.Any help is appreciated. Please pm me.
You can help by :
-making an Icon [the current sucks but I am not good at graphics]
-port the Windows script to linux
-test it and report it back here

Edit :
So thanks for the replies I am working on some fixes.
This Application uses Injector.
It will pull your Boot.IMG to sdcard, extract it, edit the files in the ramdisk, repack the Boot.IMG and then flash it back
Edit 2:
This will most likely never work on Sony Erricson devices. Sony Erricson not Sony, Sony should work.
This is because these devices don't have access to the boot partition via recovery.

I will try to build a workaround.
Despite serious reservations I decided to give it a try away. Good news is it did not F things up. Bad news is it does not work on my device (see signature). Furthermore, it did not even create /sdcard/Injector/log (I did get /sdcard/Android/data/Android-Splashscreen-changer/, which had a renamed copy of my rle and change-splash.zip). I have attached my recovery.fstab and the output from 'cat /proc/partitions' in a zip. Hope they help and GL. Looking forward to next update.
Also a couple of suggestions: (1) attach some screenshots [people like those] in the OP; and (2) perhaps provide some info of how the app works so people have some idea of compatibility and don't have to dig.

Okay, the last thing I need is your
Code:

I will try this tomorrow on my tf700 (4:30am now) is there a way to skip splash. screen to speed boot up?

You can actually remove it, but this won't speed up the process, because then the phone will start just the boot animation earlier.

Not all roms support it, but it can be done by adding the following line to the build.prop:
Code:
debug.sf.nobootanimation=1
hope that helps
If that works, this is going to be one of my favorite apps.
I'm a customize freak, so this is a MUST.
Will test it right away, but I already gave the Icon/Logo a try:
Like it? Use it. Or not... :silly:

Zeus Toolkit was first put into development in january of 2014 for the use with the Allwinner A13 tablets. Since its birth the tool has progressed rapidly with new functions which make repairing/modifying a breeze compared to doing it all from a command prompt and coding scripts etc..
The tool can automate tasks which some might find hard to do manually for instance editing the script.bin

Hi
I just trying your ROM on my Prestigio pmp3670b (red)...but I have problem with touchscreen modules. I was tried modules from other ROMs but one was working.
Can I use modules from official prestigio FW? how? Or do you have any solution for me?
Thanks for help
Hey guys,
I can't seem to get this tool working. Stumped at the first hurdle. I click "Analyze device" and nothing ever happens. None of the other device based commands seem to work either.
I know the device drivers are all working correctly as I can use the Uberizer tool to do ROM dumps and adb lsmod commands.
Any ideas? Maybe I am not waiting long enough or some other problem? I just want know if I have the right device and modules to run a custom ROM.
Cheers

Mmm. That's odd your the first person with this problem or at least the first to bring it to my attention.. The tool uses adb commands in the code to get your device name and to confirm the device is connected using adb...
I have a few questions...
1. What OS are you using on your computer?
2. Are you running the tool as administrator?
3. Do you have java/adb tools installed and up to date?
4. Have you tried using a different cable and/or different USB port? (This normally works to solve nearly all connection issues)
Hey,
I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, all drivers appear to be up to date and running Java v7
I tried a second cable and running as administrator still all to no avail.
Cheers

If you sure its arm v7 , you just push it to system and it will start working, maybe signature is not good with your android, also you can patch signature verification always true like many other custom roms for smoother apps feeling.. or sign it with your working key

Push ot to directly in system /app and reboot
The app doesn't install on the note 4 unfortunately. I guess it's not armv7?
I'd love to use the app though. Is there anything I could contribute to make it work?
Edit pushing it to system/app and setting permission worked. Thanks a billion for the app
