Hi, I'm also considering to buy this phone (presently I've Neo V). Can to tell me whether (i) the applications installed in the phone be moved to sd card and (ii) If a large game like NFS Most Wanted is installed, does it use sd card to store additional game data?

Sadly, as it is running Jelly Bean, you can not move apps to external storage! Also, there are a few games which can be installed on Sd-Card as they have some kind of an option. About the memory of the phone, you get about 1gigs of phone memory and 4-5gigs of internal storage! And i have installed 2 HD games! RR3 and MW!
I would recommend you, to buy this phone! Really good performance in benchmarks and also in gaming! :good:

Awesome Phone. Bought it one day after it released in India
Hey guys, I bought Xperia L and I must say this is one of the best phones available in the mid range android phones. The benchmarks are off the charts. The graphics performance, the gaming, the music, the interface is just awesome. The battery backup is more than one day in Normal mode and over 3 days in Stamina Mode. (See my Usage below) The camera is top-notch and the HDR mode Rocks. No lag with any game be it HD games or little ones like Temple Run 2 and Subway Surfers. I have attached my AnTuTu benchmark score with the post. If you're planning to buy it, dont wait.
Battery Usage :
My usage is 1-2 hrs Gaming.
Always on Internet 2G/3G shifting, Wi-Fi almost always on.
Autosync on.
Apps like Whatsapp, Gmail, Facebook, Facebook Pages Manager, Hike (Indian Messenger), Hangouts (Gtalk) are always on.
Enabled data and almost continuous use.
Surfing the internet.
Messaging (SMS).
Calls.
Almost 1 hr of music.
Even then this gives one day.

-deleted-

Anyone planning on rooting it and maybe well, developing CM for it? xD Wish I had the resources to do the latter one. Should be easy as it's Snapdragon.
Sent from my C2104 using xda premium

It has 1 Ghz Dual Core Krait, Adreno 305, 1 GB Ram and JB, even then it is only twice as fast as my Neo V
I'm satisfied with Neo V, only problem is with 3G... Internet is not accessible at times even though it is shown as connected to 3G. Restarting the phone usually solves the problem.
Still I'll be buying Xperial L in a month or two, after its price stabilises, and hand over my Neo V to my wife (who is using my age old W580i)!

Me too I've bought and the truth is that it is amazing how well it goes, now just wait CWM and CyanogenMod.

amazing phone

Yeah I just did. Just bought this device for Rs.16k..nice deal eh..?

Just bought this device a few days ago. Very nice device. I noticed some bugs though.
Apparently most Xperia phones have trouble with class 10 cards? I was told so by someone from the chat support on sonymobile, as reason why my 16 GB Transcend class 10 microSD card gave an error ("Blank SD or unsupported filesystem"). I guess that's normal?
Well, the other problem. The notification light only shows one color (some combination between purple, green and white, looks white-ish), even though I changed the LED color in the settings of an app (Whatsapp, Textra for example). The LED works fine in the album and music app. It lights up in the correct color when I change the theme. Does anyone else have this bug? Or is it normal? I'm going back to the store on monday, because the chat support said that if it wasn't fixed after a update repair in SUS, I should have it repaired/changed.

I've received my Xperia L yesterday and can confirm the exact same problem.
The notification LED only lights up in one color and can not be changed. Even Apps like "Light Flow" or "LEDBlinker" do not work as theys should and always show a white-ish color.
Within the Sony-Apps as the Gallery-App or the Design-settings the color of the LED works just perfect.
Please keep me/us updated, if you find any solution for this problem. Or if the Device really needs to be repaired. Thanks!

Should we make a poll?

Let's say that in one good day someone, with power to decide over LG Mobile Division, says: OK guys! Our division sucks! We get nowhere in this way! Let's head to xda-developers and let's find there the answers.
What kind of answers/solutions you could give and on which questions? Maybe we should make some sort of poll or some sort of petition and hand it over to LG, maybe they will keep count of it?
In my head I have a few questions, something like:
Q: Are you owner of a LG phone?
A: Yes - unfortunately.
Q: Are you satisfied with your LG phone?
A: Yes - like 2 years ago. Not in present
Q: What could you ask if we're willing to hear you?
A: I WON'T ask another phone when you're not supporting those you already released. In rest, I would ask everything that's normal to ask: customer support, regular and functional updates.
Q: Based on your experience, are you gonna buy in near future another LG phone?
A: Not near nor further, not ever again.
Q: Based on your experience would you recommand a LG phone to someone you know?
A: Yes! My enemies... Wait a moment! I don't hate so much my enemies to curse them this way!!
What you think? This is funny version
+1000 Agreed Make the poll in all the lg sections on xda better yet put it on xda portal
Are we talking about PHONE or we are talking about entertainment machine that has the problem to go to moon and dive in the see like Nautilus, control you pacemaker and drive your car.
It is a PHONE. After 21E - you can call, you can be called. You can take pictures (like camera), you can take movies, you can go in internet (like computer), you can use the GPS (like navigation system), you can watch movies, you can watch 3d movies, you can listen music like (MP3 player), you can read books (like book reader) you can use nearly all programs on the google market like any other Android smartphone.
yes. it is easy to be a hater.
Am I the only one who does not have a problem with this phone?
Is it possible that the problems are in the special device which stay in front of the screen?
You are correct

Honestly I don't have any problem at all...but just to make fun out of it... I myself consider that the GB is the version of Android that goes well on it. But as you can read in forums people are asking for something new and you (I mean as LG company) can't ignore people's desires. Good one with the Nautilus...
And still, tearing off your answer - taking movies - with glitches (even in 2D at 720p and no zooming option while recording), using the GPS - we all know the fix of satellites how "good" it is, watch movies and 3D movies - here goes pretty good, reading ebooks - good but on small screen is something like a pain in the a**...It's a good phone, I am fan of it - got 2 , one for me, one for my wife. And honestly I won't change it for anything, even so buggy as it is. But you can't ignore that is not the top of the heap, that could take improvments - battery included and that you find yourself alone, abandoned by LG's assistance.
Thanks for your reply.

Hey... it is 250 euro phone not 800 (like Samsung Galaxy S3 and Iphone 4s). You can not pay for Opel and ask to give you Lamborghini.
About "LG" "assistance".... how could you put this 2 words in one sentence? But the assistance is the thing that make the price, not the chips that are nearly the same in all phones and are made in China. And I am happy that we have here good developers to repair the software bugs.
But which phone you will call "the heap" and lets take a look in it forum here in XDA if they sing only Hare Krishna songs
Edit: why you want software zoom? This is the most nonsense option in all real camera - and we do not have real objectives.
If you want zoom - try this

It's a 250 euro phone..I've paid 300 for mine and 350 for my wife's (my wife's was bought first). But nevertheless, still, in Italy and France you will find this phone from 450 euros to an incredible 600 euros - and this with a contract.
http://shop.sosh.fr/telephone-porta...259&src_id=4&gclid=CN6Q1oyPqLECFYcNfAodGXoAfQ - 469 euros for an year in France
I don't ask a Lamborghini at a price of an Opel but still...can't deny that it can be a product that can improve. And normally LG and assistance can and must stay in same sentence... My LG Tv set - 50PX950N, had a problem once... called, they came home, took my TV, resolved the problem, upgraded and returned it home. And still, is LG. But it looks like that assistance is not same even in the same company.
Yes, we don't have real objectives and even if we do, still no optical zoom. I have the FujiFilm Real 3D W1 - no optical zoom while recording.
Honestly I would call the heap the phones branded "Nexus" and/or "Google" cause they are something like iPhone (be gone devil from my words!!!) . Are studied to work perfect and upgrades are all normal.
I am happy also and thankfull to our devs. If any of you come in my way...you have a beer and more from me. And yes, I am happy with the phone cause perfect things, perfect life sucks. Too much perfection is boring.

It requires 4.0 and up. If people want I can make a 2.3 version but without controller support yet I don't really feel inclined to do it for myself.

Unless you're magic, I don't think you got the game to work considering:
Minimum system requirements:
Ice Cream Sandwich or higher
Dual Core processor or higher
1GB RAM minimum
Dedicated GPU.
If you’re able to determine your GPU, the minimum chipsets are:
Tegra 3 (Nvidia)
Adreno 225 (Qualcomm)
PowerVR SGX-544 (MediaTek, others)
Mali-400 MP4 (Samsung, MediaTek, others)
On my other devices it's actually a nice looking game, though IAP's are purportedly heavy-handed.
Do you can fix games 4.0 to run in 2.3 ? oO
I really want play this ridge racer and also another huge game "ravensword shadowlands" 4.0 too..
I don't really care about controller support at all.
Thanks

Well, it's very easy to tweak a 4.0 only game to install on 2.3 but whether it will run properly or not is another matter entirely. I'll do it for this game just to try it but Shadowlands is a paid game so you'll have to figure that one out on your own.
Doesn't work, sorry.

Ahoy!
This is my first time commenting on here despite being a silent observer for many years and an owner of a few Xperia Plays in my time. Has anyone ever had any luck using Ridge Racer Accelerated on an OS higher than 2.3?
I purchased a legit copy via the Banadroid store way back when and still have the .apk. Trouble is, under Android 2.3 it runs fine but annoyingly demands you enter your Banadroid user / pass and you must have a SIM inserted at the start (and every time you boot the app) but under any higher grade of Android OS it will install fine but the game itself will bark a message at you instead of the login screen. I'm not exactly sure what the dialogue is saying as it is in kanji and a Japanese friend of mine translated it but the translation seems loose and not really contextually applicable to anything appropriate.
I wonder why the app throws such a tanty over ICS or higher. Despite having no logical reason to. Anyone else ever raid the Banadroid market back in the day? Or am I all alone.

Na, dude. Perhaps I wasn't clear on what I was referring to. The port I have is indeed hardware generic and isn't to be confused with the release designed for the 006SH which is the same device you speak of that had a 3D stereoscopic screen which when installed on a device outside of that specification, would fail.
The application and all gameplay elements run fine on the Xperia Play (but carries no optimization for the controls) and is friendly with all versions of Gingerbread but is not friendly with ICS or above as I have attempted to use it on another Xperia Play I have (for tinkering purposes) which runs an FXP CM9 based ROM. It also farts out the same error when sideloaded onto my Galaxy Note II which I have JB CM on. The error isn't system based (as in nothing akin to Install Failed, force closures, or the like) but actually occurs by the app itself. The app itself checks for various things.
Firstly it asks for your credentials, which are no problem for me.
Secondly it will sniff out your SIM. You only can be privvy to this should you not have a SIM installed as it will bark a message at you and boot you back to the home screen.
If these elements are satisfied the game runs no problem on Gingerbread and runs swimmingly on my r800i which I have an NXT ROM on. However, if played on ICS or above it will bark some other message, which seems to be the app seeking something that is present in GB but not subsequent OS releases and will kick you back to the desktop afterwards. This is what I'm interested in figuring out.

I see. Let me know if you still have any problems with it. The problem is that we can't test with all devices on every ROM. And complexity is very high now, because we have lot's of different processing, not only capture image and save, as other cameras. Hope we'll cope with Android fragmentation soon for 100%

Yes. I still have the problem with the latest release. I bought the 'unlock all forever' option. It cost me £4. I've never been able to use it. Like I said before. Every single other camera app on Android works fine on my device.
Your app has been broken for the last year and a half, despite various updates. There's also the fact it's asking me to re-purchase the unlock now.
By far my worst software experience on Android since I first got a phone with Gingerbread. I'd recommend staying well away from this product until improvements are made.
Great app! But on LG G2 there is a "mw_continuous_picture" focus mode and your camera do not use it and so it is not able to turn on the flash to focus in low light condition. Please add support for that focus mode.
Thanks.

As I mentioned, it's rather complex software comparing to other apps. We're now concentrated on support all android devices with official ROM, after that we can check with CM. However we have feedback that it's working fine on some devices with CM.
If you have troubles - you should ask for refund. About asking to pay again - seems you bought using inapps. It's not possible to pay twice, but it can ask if data from play services wasn't updated on first start.

Black Friday sale!!! Share with your friends! Great chance to get ABC for a minimal possible price!
We released new demo application. Currently it's available only for Nexus 5 users with Android 5. Later we'll add few more devices with Android 5 full camera2 API support.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.almalence.supersensordemo
What is Super Sensor? It's our all-in-one solution to improve camera!
Can be used:
- in low light - resolution improvement, noise reduction, shadow recovery
- when bright back-light causes object of interest to be lost in shadows. Super Sensor recover automatically and noise-free
- scenes with beach and snow - automatic adjustment of typical auto-exposure failures (no user interaction!). What should be white is white now. Low-contrast details are not lost but enhanced. Miniature details revealed.
- Due to DR enhancement by up to 18db, high dynamic range scenes are handled well by Super Sensor.
- Super zoom - presenting a zoomed-in image from mobile device can be a frustrating experience. Not with Super Sensor.
- Perfect for documents: superior resolution and contrast maximisation. Always.
Super mode will be available in A Better Camera new release
All provided examples are UNALTERED and taken on stock Nexus 5 with SuperSensor!

Thanks for reply! We're already testing this issue. So I hope it'll be available soon!
Just tried SuperSensor on my N5 v1.5 (Feb 22nd) and it is fantastic, much better results than the first versions.
My choice camera app in GOOD LIGHT: for detailed 18MPx photos, digital zoom and in high contrast situations that Google Camera cant handle.
My only but is low light, here I find that Google Camera HDR+ mode is sharper (requires to boost exposure in editing though), probably because SuperSensor uses higher and noisier ISOs that blur detail?
THANKS!!!
Hi
I tried A LOT of cameras, yours for me is the best one!
Just a question: samsung stock camera has light metering modes, such as spot, center weighted, matrix, etc...
There's a specific issue for this lack of functionality on your (and other's) camera?
A Better Camera has auto, matrix, center-weighted, and spot metering too. Pull the settings panel down from the top; it's in there.

[REVIEW] Review of the Zidoo X1 Android TV Box, a Singaporean's perspective

MY LOVE FOR ANYTHING ANDROID!
I have been using the Android OS for 5 years now. Back then, I made a switch to the HTC Hero (v1.5, Cupcake) from a Sony Walkman non-smartphone because I wanted to get out of the auto-restart problem that I was facing back then. I have never looked back since then, because of the seemingly limitless potential that the Android OS has due to the developers – the custom roms, Xposed modules, great apps. I've personally used Sony, LG, Samsung phones powered by Android, iPad powered by the iOS, Nokia phones powered by Windows over the past 5 years. Every OS has their own sweet spots. I'm also into the development of China phones such as Xiaomi, OPPO, MEIZU and Lenovo, mostly with reviews and posts from gizchina.com
MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH AN ANDROID TV BOX
In Nov 2013, I purchased from Geekbuying, out of curiosity of what an Android TV box can do, a Tronsmart MK908II RK3188. The idea of having an Android TV box sounds like a cool idea. I could connect portable drives to watch videos, share crystal clear photographs with relatives, get connected to YouTube, monitor the stock market on a BIG SCREEN. However, I didn’t have a good experience with using the Tronsmart TV Box, not due to its processing speed or design, but because it didn’t have a good connection to the WIFI from the room where the box was supposed to be used at. I didn't bother getting a WIFI extender as I wanted to keep things simple. In the end, I gave it away to a relative of mine for better use.
SHOULD YOU BUY AN ANDROID TV BOX?
Smart TVs are common in most households. Major brands like LG, Samsung and Sony have USB ports inbuilt in TVs, support most common video file formats and subtitles and have Internet browsers, YouTube, . Recently, Sony has introduced their new line of Android TV too. So, why would one buy an Android TV box?
In my opinion, one should buy an Android TV box only if:
1. His/her television set is outdated, old and has no smart capabilities
This is up for debate though. Everyone has different uses for the same thing
REVIEW OF THE ZIDOO X1 ANDROID TV BOX

2 Inside the box:
The TV box has a plastic-y feel. It doesn't feel premium, as expected of a product at that price level. But with a silver top, it can easily assimilate into any modern home.

The controller's buttons are a bit hard to press. But other than that, I really like the APP SHORTCUT buttons indicated by the red, blue green colors on it. Other useful buttons
'Display' which can change the frequency and resolution (50Hz, 60Hz, 1080p, 720p)
'Recent App' to access other opened apps
'Back' button that I used really frequently throughout the tryout
'Menu' button that can access menus in most apps
The lack of an inbuilt air mouse makes it hard to navigate the screens.
The HDMI cable is about 2m long, good enough for most set-ups!

4 Zidoo RC App
An alternative to the controller provided is the Zidoo RC app. Install the app into an Android phone and be amazed at the choices available for use with the Zidoo X1.
(Screenshots from my LG G3 smartphone, connected to the Zidoo X1 by WIFI)
If you have ever used an Android TV box without a proper keyboard or mouse, you would have understood how painful it is to navigate the screen and type words. Well, with this Zidoo RC app, things become more manageable. There are number pads to enter numbers, a 'Send Text' feature (located at the top right of the app) which allows you to send words like, for example,"Girls Generation", to a YouTube app without clicking each character one by one from the onscreen keyboard. There is also a mouse function, which is buggy. It is not responsive sometimes and the cursor moves too fast when it does move, which render it less useful than intended.

5 Look and Feel
Homescreen -- Simple with minimal informaton. An alternative is the Nova Launcher which will make the homescreen similar to the layout of an Android smartphone.

KODI -- Play or stream music, video and photographs with this app. KODI is also available for use in tablets and smartphones and it works, in my opinion, more intuitively than in an Android TV box, mainly due to the lack of a touchscreen function. The second image is a screenshot of my attempt to use an LG G3 streamed (via UPnP) to the Zidoo X1. It took quite a while before the music started playing. Due to its slow streaming speed, I wouldn't recommend any layman to use it. There could be a workaround to improve the speed.

6 Final Thoughts
If you have a Smart TV purchased within the past 4 or 5 years, there are probably few reasons why you should get an Android TV box.
If you do not fall into the above category, the Zidoo X1 will serve as a good upgrade to your current TV.

Question Android 13 / One UI 5 Discussion Topic on S22 Ultra

Hi!
Android 13 / One UI 5 is now officially released for S22 Ultra, and many of us wish to discuss it, but information is scattered across the forums, so I wanted to have a central place that deals directly with the final/stable release so I can gain feedback and possibly help you.
Here's what this topic is about:
Android 13 / One UI 5 on S22 Ultra (Both Exynos (Global/Rest of World) and Snapdragon (US version) variants are supported by this topic)
Here's what this topic is NOT about -- please do NOT post about these, I will not answer.
The beta releases (The final/stable release is available, just upgrade!)
Any upcoming versions (such as Android 14 / One UI 6)
Any other devices in the series (such as S22, S22+, S21 FE)
Any other problems you have with the device, not related to Android 13 (such as how to install GCAM, those have their own topics)
I really wish to know how you feel about Android 13 / One UI 5 on your phone. I'm an app developer and an IT technician and I am happy to help as well as gain feedback.
Hi bro
My S22 Ultra got updated when the update showed up here in Scandinavia. To be honest, I can't see any difference after the update. Haven't actually had any problems before, but I have noticed that CPU frequency seems to have been raised quite a bit compared to on Android 12.
Regards DeHAWK .

And battery life difference?
My few impressions:
General look and feel: I absolutely love this update. Modes and routines, call background, notifications update, stacked widgets etc. - everything's so customizable (was before as well). iPhones are still so boring compared.
Battery: few days after factory reset I was so happy about my battery. After I installed my "100 apps" - everything's back to normal - 3hrs+ of SOT despite all the config I make (sleeping apps etc). Plus 1-2hrs of SOT if I'm at home connected to Wifi.
General impression:
1. It is much better to experience One UI 5/Android 13 if you factory reset your device. I've done this since my last Google Pixel device (which is Pixel 3 XL). With less to no bugs encountered along the way.
2. Work profile works perfectly using Island app & Work Profile Demo (from Android Enterprise Page), except Shelter app that mess with my personal profile and because of that, I was forced to factory reset again.
3. When it comes to backup, I've did back it up using Google One & Smart Switch (Both on PC & Cloud). Funny thing, after factory reset, my device did not show up on the restoration lists that I backed up from Google One. Other than that, some banking apps needed to be re-installed as it needed to be installed from the Play Store and not from other sources like Smart Switch.
4. I still hate the fact that Good Lock & Good Guardians are not available on my region UNLESS I remove my local PH SIM Cards, use a US VPN & Clear Galaxy Store Cache & Data for me to download those and its modules.
Notification icons on lock screen and notification shade are white circles.
does anyone have the problem when receiving a message from whatsapp or viber in the notification panel the message ist bold and bigger then on the Android 12

Unfortunately this is a bug in the Theme Park application within Good Lock. Any change there to darker colors triggers white circles for notification icons on in the notification shade. Disable any theme you've created and it should revert to the normal, colored notification icons. Annoying. Waiting on an update to Theme Park to fix.

It's SM-S9080 HK variant, right? Beta 6 has been rolling out since October 26 & Ice Universe says it will come within this week.

I'm just impressed by how smooth everything feels now. I like the buttery feel while scrolling and the snappier animations. Battery life seems quite good so far. Overall I'm really happy with the update.

Same.
I was not offered to restore apps and app data.
US/Snapdragon/VZW variant here, the biggest change I have noticed with the update is that my fingerprint reader is now significantly more accurate and responsive. On OneUI 4/Android 12 it would work probably 75% of the time on the first scan, and it was very finicky about the orientation of my finger touching the sensor.
On the advice of someone else on another site, I deleted and re-added my fingerprints after the update and now the fingerprint reader is ~95% accurate. It also seems to work better if my hands are less than perfectly dry or less than perfectly clean.
Battery life seems mostly unchanged, and haven't encountered any significant bugs/errors/glitches so far.
I really don't want to make a new thread for this so I'm going to put it here. Gsam was working fine before the update, and it also works well on the Pixel 7 pro on Android 13. But it doesn't work anymore on oneui 5.0. Anyone else have this?
Nothing new for One UI 5, only the icons on the notifications changed. Still the same crappy, laggy animations, I don't understand why they can't make them like iOS, smooth AF, not skipping frames, not weird glitches.
