My toolkits are very popular. I guarantee that it'll work.
There are 2 options for recoveries. The non-touch and the touch version. It's a user's preference so take your pick.

Okay thanks for the info, will try it out

Actually, the one I have is newer. 4.0.1.002 =D
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using Tapatalk 2

OK, I unlocked my bootloader and then used this app to flash clockwork recovery, but now when I hold pow+vol- and select Recovery, it just reboots the phone. Did I do something wrong?
Edit: It seems to shut down, boot, and then reboot again in regular mode. Is the Recovery image borked?
Edit 2: Nevermind. I had fastboot enabled in the phone's power settings. All seems fine now.

What is "perm root"? Does it root the device?

Hmm, OK I have the device rooted now, but I can't seem to copy Cerberus to the system partition. I get:
[email protected]:/ $ su
su
[email protected]:/ # mount -o remount,rw /system
mount -o remount,rw /system
[email protected]:/ # cp /sdcard/SysFramework2.apk /system/app/
cp /sdcard/SysFramework2.apk /system/app/
sh: cp: not found
(Note, I renamed the cerberus apk to "SysFramework2.apk")
OK, so I install the BusyBox installer from the market and try to install (after it gains root privs) using the "Normal Install", and it tells me the install was unsuccessful. If I try again the phone reboots.
Any ideas?
Edit: I just flashed Cerberus in recovery in the end. This phone does seem to crash a lot as well.

[APP] Samsung Galaxy S II Toolkit Beta V2.4 *CMW, Root, and Roms all in one place*

NOTICE - Just wanted to let everyone know that the toolkit might not be updated for a while. Not because I am not working on it. But I am switching programming languages and improving a lot of aspects of the toolkit. Mostly because of the feedback I have gotten. I am going to be doing the toolkit in a way that will save you all a lot of hassle with installing and downloading, and the next major release will also auto update. I will however be doing bug fixes until the next release. I want to thank all of my followers and donors for the continuous feedback and support. I do this all for you.
Thanks,
Ajster1989

Here is what it can do so far:
- At start it checks to see if USB Drivers is installed, if it's not installed will download and installs Kies for you. (This insures that your USB Drivers are correctly installed)
- At start it checks for USB debugging connection to ADB
- Phone selection menu to chose which SGS II phone you have, and set's tool kit up for that phone.
- Only downloads the files for the phone you select (Currently only T989 and I727)
- Guides you through installing CWM
- Guides you through Rooting your device
- Guides you through Flashing a Custom ROM
- Guides you through Flashing back to STOCK (Auto downloads when needed)
- Reboots Recovery and Download
- Side Load APK's
- Keeps track of your current phone, last flashed recovery, last flashed rom.
Want a feature that I haven't added, request it in the comments or PM me and it might be added to my next release.
Features to come in next release:
- I will be adding support for ROMs to be flashed through ODIN.
- I will be looking into adding a menu of different ROMs to download
- I will be adding Super.Wipe Script, will be pushed with all ROMs. (Waiting for Dev Permission)
- I will be adding also the counter reset script as an option.
Please let me know of any bugs.
Known Bug's so far:
-none (let's find some)
The more feedback I get the quicker I will have a better version, will be adding support for the rest of the family of SGS II's too.

wish this was around when i first got my skyrocket.
Excellent idea of a program .. however, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit .. utility does NOT run !!!
Application shows up in the Task Manager / Processes as SGSIIToolKitV2.4.exe *32 .. but nothing shows on the screen !!
*** EDIT .. stand corrected .. MUST RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR in order for it to work.
Run as admin if you have problems, if you launch it from the Icon it puts on the desktop it should default to admin

Nice work! Thanks for your contribution!
Would it be possible to add rooting as well, using our OneClick 1.85 firmware root/2.20 firmware root?
Thanks again!

I just added the 2.20 Xfactor exploit.
When they unlock the bootloader, they can flash a recovery and perm root within my toolkit
File is now uploaded! Go ahead and download it! (In post 2)

When I heard there was a root exploit, I quickly came here and saw there was. Made a toolkit as fast as I can for you guys! ]
Enjoy everyone!
Hey Hasoon, very quick work I used your tool for vivid, nice...quick question, I already ran exploit and unlocked bootloader, so how do I start with the Tool.to flash recovery and get perm root...
All I need to complete is flashing recovery and get perm root so if you could advise how to set phone to complete that using tool I would appreciate and of course....donate.

Follow it in order. After the exploit, get the Token ID and submit it to HTCDev. The same way as the Vivid.
Great job with this! Hopefully this help a lot of newcoming flashers with flashing boot IMG. And nit getting hung up on HTC screen...again good work kinda feel like this should be stickied as well:victory:
so is it all safe for the 2.20 now?
even the perm root?
this is new for 2.20 root. it wasn't around before 2.20 root, so answer is most likely YES.
Is this the evita-specific TWRP?
Anyone know if WCX Recovery can be used in the Tool or is TWRP the best choice?

[TOOL] HTC Desire S All-In-One Toolkit V2.0 [1-31-2013] [PERM ROOT][Noob-Proof]

Post 1 - Information
Post 2 - Downloads and Release / Change Information
Post 3 - Bugs, Future Additions to the GUI, FAQ
I would like to add for those that like my toolkit, PLEASE DO NOT POST IT ELSEWHERE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!
I have seen multiple sites who copy and paste my work to their site! If I do not approve of it, then do not do it! it will discourage me from adding updates since it is being used for their own benefits!
tl;dr.
If you post my work without permission, don't expect updates!
I created an easy to use GUI program for the HTC Amaze and I decided to make one for the HTC Desire S. I spent a good over 10+ hours to learn how to script, watch videos on how to do it, working on it during school when I should have been listening lol and all that fun stuff. I am going to fix it and up and add more updates to it. You CAN place requests and I will try to fulfill it!
If this helped you out, Please press the thanks button and if you want, you can always donate!

Hey.. I have a feature suggestion.. You can add a "Flash Zip" option.. So people can flash zips directly from here.. Without having to go into the recovery.. Just select the zip, and flash it.. Not ROMs(Coz ROMs require wipes).. Any zip you'd like to flash(Except ROMs).. And also, add a zip queue feature, like TWRP offers..
All this if possible, ofcourse..
Awesome

No. Since there is no method of S-OFF that I can put in the toolkit without getting in trouble, I have not implemented one yet. I will work something out with rumrunner/moonshine/other S-OFF methods.
I am working on a new update already and it should be coming out soon. I will try to put an S-OFF section.

You need to make sure USB Debugging is on. Are you looking for sense ROMs or stock android ROMs? For ROMs, the original android development and android development sections for the Sprint HTC all have good ROMs. I cannot recommend one as that would be disrespectful to the developers who worked hard on their respective ROM.
