yes, it also comes factory unlocked.
Supports other languages.
dont know about unicode SMS.

In the USA, they're only available SIM-unlocked (extremely rare for a phone here). Are you sure it's SIM-locked? If so, you may need to call Nokia or your mobile operator to ask them. Or, if you're feeling marginally self-sufficient, you could try a web search...
Does anyone know if an unlocked Lumia 820 will work on Tmobile? I am planning to buy an unlocked 820 (or 920 for att) from amazon. But before I buy I would like to know if it would work on tmobile bandwidths (3g and 4g)

download and run the Nokia Network configuration tool. Once that is done, the phone should work just fine

It depends where you are, who your carrier is, but if you get a sim unlocked and unbranded phone you will have no restriction regarding the band width. Also check what band width your carrier (server) supports.

This phone supports the bands of the companies in my country.... I want to know if you can unlock.... and if it works
As I already posted buy a sim unlocked and unbranded phone and you'll have no problem.

I was thinking about buying a Lumia 1020 already unlocked or buy an AT&T locked and unlock it after to use on Bell's network. I was wondering if I would get LTE working? Are the bands compatible? I can't find anyone that bought a US 1020 to use on Bell's network.

im looking at buying second hand a NOKIA LUMIA rm-985 830 for wind.
as i understand winds uses AWS 1700/2100 and the seller says its factory unlocked.
when i search i see that factory unlocked has many bands and it seems like it should work when i put in a sim card.
the seller says it needs to be unlocked for Wind only, so im not sure how its factory unlocked but needs to be unlocked more?
im guessing its to unlock the AWS band that Telus/Rogers must be blocking?
is there a way i can unlock it or flash in a rom with a working band? i dont see a Lumina 830 section, so does the 820 work on this phone too?
