I downloaded the RUU last night from the link on first post and it's always corrupted. Have you checked if the file you uploaded works?
EDIT: I get a bandwidth error. Your account is temporarily disabled it seems. Maybe upload to Mediafire (it has direct link support)?

Ok it looks like it isn't corrupted. Am I supposed to extract the file? Because when I try to, WinRar or 7zip says it's corrupted.
Is this not the same as other RUU's like this? Hope someone can provide an instruction.

Here's a tip for anyone that will download PL99IMG_DLXB1_U_JB_45_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.12.707.1_R_Radio_3A.22.306.10_10.07.1060.04D_release_signed.zip...
Once download is done, check the MD5 checksum of the file. I use WinMD5. Get it at winmd5.com. If the MD5 matches, proceed to the next step.
Next, try to extract the archive using WinRar or 7zip. If you get an archive corrupted error, proceed to the next step.
Download Zip2Fix from here and install.
Open Zip2Fix and open the ZIP file that you downloaded before. Once you click Open on the file selector window, sit tight and hold on to your butts. Zip2Fix will show as not responding on the task manager for a while and don't touch it! After about 5 minutes it should be done. Check the logs and it should say that 20 of 20 files found are OK.

I can't upload the fixed ZIP file as my DSL's upload is really slow.

Not sure whether the file can be converted to exe file or not. The following steps are how I did it.
1) Download the file. (PL99IMG_DLXB1_U_JB_45_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.12.707.1_R_Radio_3A.22.306.10_10.07.1060.04D_release_signed.zip)
2) Rename the file to PL99IMG.zip
3) Copy PL99IMG.zip to root directory of external SD Card
4) Insert the SD Card into HTC Butterfly
5) Boot in HBoot and just follow instructions.
P/S : I relock my phone before flashing the zip file.

Do I just go ahead and run the ruu? My phone is bootloader unlocked and rooted.
Edit: sorry just finished dloading. Yeah no exe file.

I'll try this. But I still hope someone can post the EXE file so we just run the tool! I suppose the PL99IMG.zip was taken out from the self-extracting EXE RUU file, so it must be there somewhere in the wild!
By the way, can you post step by step instructions? I just booted to HBOOT. There's Fastboot, Recovery, and the other options (factory reset, simlock, image crc, show barcode). Should I choose Fastboot or Recovery? I tried entering Recovery but I only got a blue/red exclamation symbol (forgot the exact image lol), no options to flash a zip from SD Card.
EDIT: Sorry about the confusions. I sound like a noob, but I am new to HTC Android devices. I came from Samsung. Pardon me. :angel:

Did you try towelroot?

Towelroot is only for Qualcomm devices, the P901 is an Exynos device.

Ok, now that he's fixed his comment so it makes a tiny bit of sense. I had this problem with the p900 as well. This was how I fixed the hang on cache issue very quickly.
Get 7zip.
1. Open the zip file you got for cf-autoroot with 7zip. Extract the CF-Auto-Root-v1a3g-v1a3gxx-smp901.tar.md5 file.
2. Remove .md5 extension and rename the file CF-Auto-Root-v1a3g-v1a3gxx-smp901.tar
3. Open this file with 7zip, extract recovery.img from it. Set this aside, you'll need it in a few more steps.
3. Download Caboomi's Recovery img2tar odin maker tool from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2281287
4. Unzip the tool into a folder. Delete the recovery.tar.md5 it comes with. You will also see a Runme.bat file.
5. Edit the bat file with something like Notepad ++. The second line will be
Code:
bin\tar -H ustar -c recovery.img > recovery.tar
Change this to
Code:
bin\tar -cf recovery.tar recovery.img
Save the file.
6.Remember the recovery.img file you took from the CF-Auto-Root-v1a3g-v1a3gxx-smp901.tar in step #3? Throw that file into the same folder where the Runme.bat file is located.

Here I made one for you, try this one in Odin click me I didn't zip it since it's just the tar.md5 file not all the extra odin stuff. Don't modify this file's extensions, put it straight into odin.
After downloading, you should check the md5 matches: 44d09a57009cfdbb322f0c9ca13bd4fe
Let me know if it works. Otherwise we have to look for another problem cause/solution.

Finally rooted my P901
After hundred times stucked at cache.img I found the reason and got my p901 finally rooted!
Two things which I made wrong, so remember the following two points:
1. You have to switch on USB debugging in “development options” under Settings on your P901!
2. You have to start Odin as Admin!
Go on with the normal flashing procedure:
Start P901 in flashing mode
Start Odin as Admin (use only the Odin version which comes in the package from CF!)
Load tar.md5 File in AP
Connect the P901 to PC
Start
That´s all!

To Flash ROM What you Need first--
Task 1> Download .binx file as per your phone Model from above link
Task 2> Download .inf file See notes
Task 3> Sky flash tool 2014 B2
Task 4> Download Drivers * if you already have drivers for your phone don't need to download this.
Installing
1. At first Install Drivers. If you already have installed drivers in PC you don't have to download or install again.
2. Extract "sky flash tool 2014 B2.zip" with any zip file manager like winzip or 7zip or winrar
To anywhere and Copy Downloaded .BINX file into this location:
Sky Flash Tool 2014 B2\sky_home\IM-A850L Folder --- if you have IM-A850L Phone
Sky Flash Tool 2014 B2\sky_home\IM-A850S Folder ---- if you have IM-A850S Phone
Sky Flash Tool 2014 B2\sky_home\IM-A850K Folder ---- if you have IM-A850K Phone
If there is no Folder containing that name Just create Folder and rename it as above.
3. Copy download.inf file to this location--- Sky Flash Tool 2014 B2\sky_home
4. Run "fixserver.exe" A Command line window will appear just press any key...
5. Run "Sky_Flash_Tool_2014.exe" Only internet explorer browser support
A blue color window will appear. Caution : Do Not Close this window. Until Update finishes.
Also, Internet explorer will open with update page.
6. Put your phone into S/W upgrade mode. How to do that? follow those steps
Switch off phone, press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power
Phone will go to bootloader mode
Now press volume up down button and choose PLD DOWNLOAD option pressing power button
It will show S/W mode
7. Connect phone with PC or Laptop
if phone is not detected see if driver is installed properly. if yes then Disconnect and connect again.
8. Now in upgrade page Click the Upgrade button While S/W mode and wait for results finish to 100%
if everything ok upgrade button will appear. Otherwise it will spin.
NOTE:
Download.inf file why we need this>>>
This file is needed to identify the latest version of ROM for flashing purpose. If you have old download.inf file and new .binx file you will end up with error. So Latest .Binx file + Latest .inf file
Problems:
* The central directory was not found in the archive (or you were trying to open not the last disk of a multi-disk archive)
if you face this problem its the problem of Old "download.inf" + new .binx file . Remember you need both latest .inf + latest .binx file

Please extract the compressed file again. I checked the compressed file it's ok. Fixserver.exe file is there.

disable antivirus before extrracting the file. antivirus deletes fixserver.exe

I left my computer, but it just said the zip isn't valid. Could they have encrypted the file so you can't share?

It's not a bad upload. I had to download it using internet download manager, for some reason when downloading it through the browser the download fails.

The original file is the BIN file. I just renamed it. Let me put the file in 7zip and upload it so it's unchanged.

In Total Commander, it shows the contents of the zip are fine... the .bin, the .mbn.. and metafiles....

I have a question how are you able to download that on a pc if Samsung
will only allow connections from a specific user agent header string.
I have a packet dump of the download and I have verification from the server and the correct file size in bytes and the MD5 Hash sum. They also match yours so I can verify you and I both have the full correct file from the OTA server

What you need to do is pause the download, start package capture, resume the download.
From the PCAP, merge the Host part with the GET part. My download link is still working after 3 hours. I use Chrome to download

put it on sd card in a folder u create "fota" then boot into recovery and flash from recovery

here is my idea on how to repair / correct the header of the zip so it may be flashable via recovery. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69874795&postcount=1002
If not then I think it can only be flashed with the fota.apk I think it does something to the zip before it flashes it.
I also did some poking around in the zip file and notice the update script is checking for the exact 6.0.1 build and flashing everything as a DIF, not as a regular update would.

I've downloaded the BIN file provided in the forum, now what should I do to install the update?!

if it helps any ive downloaded this zip file and when trying to copy it to SD Card i get a unexpected error that device may have been uplugged but any other file i try to copy works without issue, theres definetly some sort of security, ive also redownloaded file 3 times to see if it was a download issue which i now know its not
Edit: downloaded straight to sd card into FOTA folder for the hell of it tried to flash it and get 2 errors, 1. footer is wrong and 2. signature verification failed

This is temporary thread as we don't have AP file to patch with Magisk by normal users. Once official Android 10 available, thread will be trashed.
Instructions :
- First update to Android 10 beta
- Unlock bootloader
- Download : N975F_Q_B1_Root.zip and extract to get N975F_Q_B1_Root_DrKetan.tar.md5 file (For Beta 1)
- Download : DrKetan_N975F_Q_B2_SK8_Root_extract_this_first.zip and extract to get DrKetan_N975F_Q_B2_SK8_Root.tar.md5 file (For Beta 2 SK8 or Beta3)
- Download : DrKetan_N975F_root_Q_B4_SL4_extract_first_this.zipand extract to get DrKetan_N975F_Root_Q_B4_SL4.tar.md5 file (For Beta 4)
- Reboot to download mode
- Flash above downloaded N975F_Q_B1_Root_DrKetan.tar.md5 from AP tab of Odin
- Reboot to Recovery and wipe data
- Download and Install Magisk Manager manually.
- Done!

Actually issue was older file was corrupted
I have uploaded new and that have fix it

When you say to go into recovery to wipe data, do you mean twrp recovery?

4. Install Magisk APK

Now once the Galaxy A51 boots into stock recovery mode follow the below steps.​Go to Wipe data/factory reset. You have successfully rooted Samsung Galaxy A51 using Magisk.​
11. Configure ur Phone
12. Install Magisk and launch the app
It should show a dialog asking for additional setup.​Let the app do its job and automatically reboot the device.​​
