going to start a poll to get XDA to give us a home. we need numbers to get this acomplished. Hopefully this device sells. You can help by voting yes @ the top of the page. XDA should drop some older devices to make room for this Powerhouse.
I've been debating if I should keep my Blaze or wait for the OneS, but over the weekend I've enjoyed the phone enough to make it a keeper. ESPECIALLY for the price. IM new but I'm more than wiling to donate for a root. I will bookmark and hope to see more development in the near future.

What could I (we) do to help us get a (t769) section on XDA?

In any case, are these specs wrong or am I missing something?

I have 4GB internal and a 1GB microsd that came with it. 1gb RAM is correct.
Phone has two cameras. Not sure which is primary.
I'd initially read that this model had a built-in FM transmitter as well as playback. I can't seem to find any evidence of these features unless they're locked by Sammy.

Got one of these for my wife. It blows away her myTouch 3G Slide as well as my Galaxy S 4G 959. This phone should definitely get some mod lovin' here.

IM not a kernel guy but hopefully someone will pick it up soon. I can add voodoo color/sound modules bit someone will have to compile a kernel. I can't get back on this until this weekend.

Hey, take your time, do your own things first buddy. I met you in the vibrant MIUI community. Im just glad to cross path with you again here. I love your ROMs because they are always stable and have voodoo color/sound. I cant live without voodoo color and voodoo sound. LOL
I can't wait for root access. ROMs have a lesser priority, I'm sure you all know what mean. ;-)

Color seems to be fixed on this device, but some people just like knowing they have the control. I'm Very impressed with sound also (vrs Vibrant with Voodoo Sound). They have seemed to have addressed some issues on color and sound. Call Quality has also been improved on. I recommend everyone download "Drippler" for the Blaze. It will keep you informed on updates and the latest news for our device.

- First Boot Installer sometimes fails to complete (usually completes on reboot)
On first boot, unlock the screen and let it sit until
you see all the media scanning notifications stop -
this is because on first boot, there will be some
app installing going on for the apps included, will take about a minute.
If you're coming from a clean install, you will have to set
Swype as your text input in Settings > Locale and Text Settings to start using it.

In Theory, no-wipe means you can just install over another ROM, but in practice, be sure to back up first. It's ALWAYS best to start clean and do a full format even though it's annoying... but as far as i go, this update was my perfect excuse to start fresh.
CleanGB and SleeperROM had similar modifications so it should be safe... couldn't hurt to try, and if it doesn't work, clean install.
Good to have you back again .... for awhile there I was afraid some Aggies snuck into Austin and kidnapped you ....... LOL

so i installed the full release over the peoples rom. obviously not a good thing to do but i just wanted to test it without having to restore 70+ apps. swype was fcing and google talk had no video. I managed to get those working although swype has no feedback on the keyboard, not sure if it should or not.
does this come with gtalk with video normally or is that something i would have to add?
at any rate, it doesn't seem to be locking up and i could have angry birds space open and browse the web which was impossible on people's rom.
i notice it seems to take a while to deep sleep though, have to test it more tomorrow and probably do a clean install tomorrow. something about cm_vnote or something like that seems to be doing the wakelock fairly often.
the most major thing i noticed was that gps status will only say its locked onto 2 satellites, no more than 2. its obviously locking onto more though because the error is at like 3 meters and i believe it won't show location on less than 3 satellites. is that just an error with the display on the rom?
Try the gps_fix.

First thing you should do is calm down! This isn't an OTA from HTC so is excepted to have issues. Next thing you should do is pull a logcat if possible. Also provide as much information as you can that could be helpful in fixing the issue on hand.

This status is mainly due to the fact that you're using an outdated recovery. Update your recovery to what I recommend which is Smelkusmod

It really doesn't matter! He has a lot of different types of themes and that's mainly what is causing you to be confused. Just pick the latest one and either fast via the bootloader!

INSTRUCTIONS:
If flashing from a prior version of this ROM, you may flash only dalvik without having issues. BUT, issues are still an occasional possibility!! It is always recommended that you follow the installation guide below for best results!
1) Download to SD or internal memory
2) Boot to recovery - Sk8rs CWM 6.0.1.5 recommended
3) Perform a full Format/wipe - not just dalvik cache
4) Install ROM
5) Install Gapps and/or Boobah's AROMA
6) ENJOY!

Found an odd bug..... If you turn off the phone with it plugged into a charger or the computer it boots into download mode...... if you plug the phone into a charger or a computer when the phone is off it boots into download mode.
so essentualy it wont let me charge the phone when it is off it has to charge when it is on

I tried the same thing and got a reboot but not download mode. If you turn it off and then plug it in you can charge while off.

Very nice! Only a couple of issues I've seen - and they certainly not deal-breakers.
- Rom Control>Tools>Performance settings - scrolling back & forth between screens doesn't always show the previous screen.
- Duplicate settings options between Settings>System and Rom Control.
- Video recording is still blurry in the stock camera app (I understand it's a CM10 issue, so I can't really fault it here).
Like, like, like AROMA and the included Font Installer. That'll satisfy my OCD for at least a day or two, mucking with it.

As with any ROM, your life will vary depending on your use and settings. Having said that, I have OC to 1728 and use my phone with a lot of wifi. I get a steady ten to twelve hours of heavy use before the battery dips below 25%.

Don't I know it. It is a reasonable question, but most people think that battery life is relative. That's why I included a battery calibrator, even though many devs and users poo poo them.

How to install
download ROM and place it on your SD card
boot your phone in recovery mode (vol down + power)
In main menu, select "install zip from sdcard"
Select "choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the location of ROM
After flashing process is complete, reboot the device
(((( Very Important Note))))
To complete the installation without any problems
it is better to manually do a full wipe ROM is fully optimized
Rom the first boot takes 1.07 minutes or more...

Anyway, It's good to have a new rom for our DHD
Working very well so far. Used 4.3 Gapps from Random ' s thread. Excellent data flow.. a big plus for me.

This rom cant boot on my DHD full wipe preformed and all other solutions just stuck on boot screen

Like I said before, it works fine. Except for the no ring tone sound.
PS. No ringtone and after settling a day, data started dropping quite often.
Not quite stable enough for a keeper yet but great work so far.

Tried many o'flash. Clean & not. Every time no wifi to sign into google. Banks 4.3 core 1-?? & linked inspire mod.
The rest looks cool.

You might try to select a data provider after install. Operating system wont find one automatically. I don't have WiFi so not sure.
