These are pulled from Android Central forums. A tester has the AT&T One XL right now, and he ran those two benchmarks on the phone.

He says battery life is considerably better than LTE phones before, it's considerably lighter than the Desire HD, and it's also thinner.
His only complaint so far is the lack of microSD.
This seems legit, seeing as how he's posted photos of the phone and compared them. The screenshots with a menu button bar also gives it away.

Which means that battery life is an improvement over the Vivid and a major improvement over the Inspire.

Seeing as how I have an Inspire right now and I find that it lasts me about 10 hours with plenty of gaming in low reception areas (jumping between 2G and 3G), it sounds great. Just lock it to HSPA+ when you don't care for LTE, which is everything short of tethering, heavy image downloading, and streaming.

Really Best buy? I went in to do a price match and i looked at the sign and it was HTC Infuse?

lol Im going to go look for this now lol
Epic fail.
I personally am glad that this is a Samsung. Better screen quality and it doesn't weigh 5 or 6 pounds. Not to mention the fact that it probably would have come with a locked bootloader at least initially.
It is pretty sad that their marketing department overlooked such an obvious error.
Any other Samsung phone besides the infuse and I'd be wishing it were an HTC too.
I almost said something but didbt want to sound like a smart alic.

hmmm.. why all the hate on samsung? My infuse is freakin amazing. Way faster than my dual core tablet was, sexy UI, takes less than 5 seconds to root. Granted the battery life isn't GREAT and it takes 5 hours to charge, but that's how samsung does it, amazing performance comes at a small price.
The new ad for the chicago area says full 1080p video recording....

Haha, I work for Best Buy and we actually refused to put that sign out because of the mistake. Glad my store is smarter than that one.
hahaha. i have to go to bestbuy now.

InsertCoin Battery Life

Hey guys. I've been getting increasingly tired of seeing pages of the development thread eaten by battery life information, questions, and screenshots, so I decided to open a dedicated thread for those that wish to discuss it.
Maybe I'm out of line, but it just doesn't seem like it belongs there in the ever-increasing quantity that it is. It's hard enough to get people to read for answers to their questions, so I figure lets have a place people can discuss this subject other than the development thread. Besides, most battery issues are not ROM related anyhow, but rather they are software and custom kernel issues most of the time.

I can go all day with one charge with medium use 12-13 hours and have 20-30% when I plug it in
I also have an anker in the mail
I get 3 1/2 hours of screen on time with auto brightness, 4-5 bars with 4G/3G enabled. That's running the latest build of Insertcoin and anker.
Here's a screenshot. I've charged it after 10 hours of heavy use until 45% from 15% and its still going strong at work right now.
Take this with a grain of salt, every phone is different and battery life varies for everyone even with the same usage patterns.

Just got my sensation, rooted, virtuous room, 2 words... My god !

I just wanted to share my feelings about this phone. I'm coming off am HTC hd2. I got this phone because it was cheap 220, and dual core, I knew by reviews that the phone wasn't super fast... But with ice virtuous 4.0... This baby is doing 3.400.... Isn't that on par with gs2?
I really couldn't be happier about the phone!

Same processor as the gs2 atleast the Tmobile gs2

Dont live by benchmarks. Smoothness and day to day use are what matters.
agreed. i used the last build of virtuous just to get my feet wet with ics and ended up going back to my trusty hypersensation 1.8 primarily because it's just downright silky
ICS is still under heavy development for the sensation so there are certainly still many improvements to be made to even the most popular roms out now.
Well the benchmark is impressive for a phone you can get for 230, in comparison of a gs2 that is worth 400 used. And the day to day use is supper smooth too.

Its because sense it not hogging resources - AOSP FTW!!! (My next phone will probably be the galaxy nexus's (or nexi or nexi's) replacement)

[Q] Pros and Cons on disabling logcat

What are the pros and cons of disabling logcat?
How much does it effect battery life and performance?

Nearly impossible to measure. Leave it disabled for a while and see if you notice a difference. Then post your findings here.

Benchmarks are not very accurate. You could have gotten that difference simply from re running the benchmark regardless of whether or not log cat was enabled or disabled. Hence why I said up top its almost impossible to measure.

Idk how bad this is, you can see my screen time is barely on and my phone is barely awake, yet i get 8 hrs :l Idk if other people phone is the same. Plus half of the time I had my network disabled...
I'm still on 4.1.1 :l I heard that's a really bad for battery. If I upgrade to 4.4.2 will it make a difference?
That doesn't look very good. Can you provide more information on your device please? Stock/modified? Bootloader details? ROM/kernel?
Sent from my Evita
Out of curiosity how many apps have you installed and uninstalled since your last flash? How many do you have currently installed? Have you tried benchmarking your standby times on a freshly flashed device with only stock/gapps installed?

Battery life will vary but for me this is what
I get on a 4.4.2 ROM. If you are in low coverage areas it drains battery way fast

What you're saying about battery draining quickly in a low coverage area is spot on. I don't think providing your own battery usage helps much though because battery stats vary wildly from user to use even on the same ROM, there are too many variables.

About 3 hours of on-screen time has been the average for me. Phone's about 2 years old.
