Anyone know where I can get replacement USB host cables like that came with the TG01? I'm not talking about the Chinese ones on eBay, but the OEM cables from Toshiba? Toshiba doesn't like them anywhere I can find.

yea id sell it for £3 just to cover stamp,envolope and a twix
as for where you can get 100s if you want the tosh ones specifically then i assume the ony way would be through them so not sure.

Yep. Bought that one for the car and bought 2 6ft ones for indoors. All work flawlessly.
I ordered some generic cables on eBay and they work just fine. I do like the way that the micro usb side of the cable that came with the phone is angled, making it easier to plug in in the dark.
I've looked online and found the Samsung replacement part but it appears they are only 2' 9" long (which is a LOT shorter than the cable that came with the phone).

Just buy the monoprice cable and score the right side of the microusb end with a knife or something so you can easily insert it in the dark.

So when plugged in, in the car and mounted it doesn't go up like 2 inches before it turns back down.

I bought a 2 pack of retractable cables on ebay for portable charging. To my surprise they work to transfer data, too. It's interesting because the last retractable phone cable I bought could only be used to charge (samsung instinct)
Bought mine from NewEgg and an expensive one is about $15. I choose some that were $4 a piece. Works great

do not get right angle! I made that mistake, it covers the 3.5 mm audio.
get an "Up angle" for a while usbfirewire.com was the only vendor and was $16 to $20 shipped depending on length, but they recently started showing up on ebay for $7 shipped.
I got an up angle from this vendor and it came fairly fast for hong kong (abut 7 days) and was a very good gauge and quality:

Can anyone recommend a *thin and flexible* USB charging cable? I bought these from Amazon and although they work fine, they are too stiff and thick and I am worried that they will damage my port with prolonged use since I have to bend the cable before the phone lies flat on the table while charging. There are many other options out there but it is hard to judge by the picture how thin and flexible the cable is. I am looking for something as thin and flexible as the OEM cable. Thanks

Monoprice adapter
I went and just ordered a short adapter with a cord so I can use my super long HDMI cables with it and not have to worry about an adapter putting all that stress on the port. Also it is dirt cheap.

I got that one, I leave it hooked up to one my my Sony Bravia's HDMI ports (it has 4).
I can't get audio to play via HDMI for the life of me. I tried two different HDMI cables/adapters, multiple HDMI ports, reboots, etc.

Is there a way to control where the HDMI sound goes to. Because sometime I have monitors i hook my phone up to and would like to be able to control the sound to come out of the speaker on the phone?

This is sort of on and off topic. Anyway, to these users, what kind of things can be displayed with the HDMI cable? Can you stream things like netflix, youtube, slingplayer, ETC? I currently a TB owner, but so far I have had a lot of issues and we will leave it at that.

Wow, 80 cents??? I just ordered one, but should have ordered two or three at that price.
I just received my cable from monoprice.com today. hooked it up to the TV and everything worked great. I would suggest buying the cable from there if you are looking for one. Video and sound worked flawlessly.
Can anyone confirm that the very cheap one off Amazon in the 2nd post has working audio? If not i'll just go with Monoprice,

I finally found a HDMI cable locally.
That way if it did not work, I could return it.
I got it at WAL-MART. I looked at my local WAL-MART they do not carry this item. I found it at a WAL-MART when I was out of town this weekend, When I was walking around the electronics area.
I saw all the people with mix results so I held off for a quality cable from a company I can trust and been making cables for a long time.

That's what I'm sayin'! They all work the same. I'm not gonna spend 10x the price on something that won't work any better. To me, 1080p, is 1080p.
i can guarantee the $3 ones wont last..probably from ebay..lol but thats where i got mine from, cost me bout 10 bucks about two months ago and still works, i use it all the time especially weekends, make sure to check buyers feedback and also u can notice a crappy cable by looking at it...just be carefull when pickin but it's best to get one from a local store or t-mobile website
I had some money coming my way that I was not counting on so I say what the heck!!!
I saw all the complaints if all those cheap cables. I did not want to be one of those people.
I was just posting a options some people don't mind spending more on a quality product.

I've used my $3 cable almost everyday since receiving it 2 weeks ago and I've had no problems at all.
The cable actually looks like good quality....I got it from Hand Held Items. I'm usually the first to say when something looks cheap, but this $3 cable looks the exact opposite. I'm still shocked that stores can make money selling a HDMI phone cable for $30. What a ripoff....smdh
But I'm not knocking anybody who purchased that $30 cable, by all means if you got the money and want to do it .... perfect!

I understand...Im not trying to sell anyone anything, I just wanted anyone that may be in the market for a cheap HDMI cable to know where I got mine from. I'll admit, some of the reviews aren't so great, but there are more 5 ratings than 1 ratings. I guess I have one of the 'Good' cables.

I got HDMI cable off ebay for me and my dad for $1 each lol, still working strong, but I cant say these $3 ones for our phones will be the same, I will be picking one up for mine soon.
I return mine. I am trying cheaper cables now that I know my phones HDMI port works. The Belkin one was a perfect fit.

Food for thought... seems none of you have heard of the future of internet shipping -- NewEgg... quality cable if you ask me, have 3+ of the normal hdmi and they sell adapters if you already have a hdmi cord, because how many times do you hook up your phone to a tv anyways?

I've looked on Amazon for a dock for my new Moto X 2014 model. I can't seem to find any. The ones they say work, when you read the reviews people say that it doesn't work. It charges just fine, however none of the adapters fit the new Moto X and it does not kick off dock mode, either.
AW OK. So I guess we just have to wait a while before docks start showing up for the 2014 model...

His screenshot just shows Active Display. It isn't showing it enabling dock mode. That would open up the clock or whatever is set for daydream.

Certainly. It is suppose to arrive tomorrow, but I haven't received a shipping notice yet.
I had that dock from Motorola and all it is , is a stand really.

Says iPhone 6 but the iPhone 6 and Moto X are only a millimeter or 2 different in physical size, plus the bottom hole for the cord works perfectly too. The little cutout in the front will be unnecessary. Guess it'll be easer to hit the Home button I guess.

I ordered the stand (for work) when I ordered my new X, since it is on clearance. I also made my own dock from an old Droid dock (for home):

In both cases, docking mode will not be engaged - have to set daydream to charging state. Originally there was a docking-enabeling cable to use with the stand, but I don't think it would engage dock mode, since the Droid dock will not engage dock mode on the X.
