Adobe Flash Player 11 for MI 310
*All the ROMs except CM 7.1.0 are based on Froyo
*CM 7.1.0 is based on gingerbread
*Finally,I am able to boot into RC 5,previously,i got stuck in the boot screen also.
I wiped the dalvik cache>Battery stats>cache>data via the recovery and the after flashing,i was able to boot into the new ROM.
*Dodol is the one I'm currently using.
Surely better than the stock one_____Market problem is fixed (that was really annoying),Flash player 10.1 tested to be working flawlessly, even plays games on Kongregate.com and the black status bar, man,i love it.
No bug whatsoever found in the Dodol ROM till now.
*All links are tested to be working at the time of posting this thread
*After downloading,ADB and fastboot for mi 310,no need to download the whole android sdk
*Fastboot command to Flash CWM:
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img

[Guide][\SIZE]
I'm assuming you're using windows 7 pc.
Download the adb and fastboot for mi 310 from above, extract it in c:/on your computer.
Navigate to My Computer (Icon)-
>Properties (Link)->Advanced System
Settings (Link)->Advanced (Tab)-
>Environment Variables (Button)->System
variables (Section) ->Path (Variable)-> Edit
(Button)-> Variable value .
Add ;c:/adb (including the semi colon, don't erase the previous values, just add this behind them) and press ok.
Test if fastboot is correctly setup by opening a command prompt and giving fastboot Cubans, if the fastboot help is listed down, you're going good till now but if it says fastboot is not recognized as an internal or external command then you have to review your environment variable part.
Now, download the drivers for your phone from above and extract it anywhere.
enter fastboot mode on your phone by pressing camera + trackpad + power button until the black command prompt like screen pops up.
Connect your device to computer, now you're phone should say Processing commands.
Open device manager on your PC, and find where your phone is, click on update driver and select the location of the drivers you extracted previously,
Disconnect the USB and reconnect it again, if it says Google USB fastboot interface something like that in the taskbar, you're going great guns.
Otherwise try installing the drivers again.
Now, download clockwork mod for our device from links above and paste it in c:/adb and extract it there.
Press shift and while holding it, right click anywhere in the explorer and select open command prompt here.
Enter fastboot devices in the command prompt , if
? fastboot
comes up, its nice.
Now, give the command
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
And if it says okay, okay, then give the command fastboot reboot.
Disconnect the phone from USB, and switch it off.press trackpad+ volume down + power button till the recovery screen comes up, you can scroll up and down using volume keys and select something by pressing the trackpad.Go to backup and restore and perform a backup, it would take 2-3 minutes.
Download dodol ROM.from above. You've to use amend2edify (see my next post) and now paste the dodol.zip from the amend2edify folder to your sdcard.Again enter the recovery mode and choose apply zip from sd card, select the zip, it will start installing. After installation is complete, reboot your device using the recovery and WAIT
It will take upto 10 minutes for the first boot, if you can't boot even after 20 minutes, pull out the battery, enter the recovery and perform a restore, otherwise try installing it again
In this process, all applications from your phone will be erased but your data sdcard will be intact, but you can try backing it up to avoid any chances of losing it.
Excuse me for my brevity, any typo and for putting up the things in unorderly manner.

Nice thanks..

Browsing through your previous posts,i realised the error you're getting is regarding the use of amend scripts in the Dodol ROM.
To solve this, first download amend2edify from here:
http://attachments.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=532465&d=1299163136
extract it anywhere and double click on amend2edify.exe
Click on file>open>locate dodol rom
Something will come written in input and output tabs,no need to waste your time reading them.Click file>save and flashable version of dodol will be saved in the folder where you extracted amend2edify,copy it from there and paste into your sdcard and simply flash vai the recovery !!!

For changing boot animation, splash screen and silent boot, see my thread

well what you need is wipe data & battery stats
wipe data = wipe dalvik cache+cache+sd ext if you have one+another data (i forgot, but it always mentioned in recovery)
the same thing happen when you want to go into cm7
you must wipe your data first

Huawei Ideos U8150 Recovery Guide

Many people seem to be having a lot of trouble flashing recoveries for their Ideos so I figured I would write this thread because I haven't found any other guides for flashing U8150 recoveries.
Method 1
1. Install Terminal Emulator from the market.
2. Install Root Explorer from the market.
3. Download the recovery of your choice and copy the recovery.img to your sd card. (if its not named recovery.img rename it)
4. With Root Explorer, navigate to where the recovery is and copy it to /system/bin/ (remember to select mount as R/W first in order for it to copy.)
5. Open Terminal Emulator and enter the command "su" (without the quotes)
6. After that enter the command "flash_image recovery /system/bin/recovery.img" (again without the quotes)
7. That's it, the recovery has been flashed. Reboot in recovery to confirm.
8. Once you've confirmed the recovery flashed properly remember to delete the recovery.img from /system/bin/ (using root explorer, and mount as R/W)
Method 2
I find this method much easier because you don't have to go through the trouble of installing drivers. Also you don't need to connect your device to your PC. Your device needs to be rooted though. If your device isn't rooted simply download z4root from the market and root it.
1. Download and install ROM Manager from the market.
(If you simply want to flash the latest working ClockworkMod Recovery and not an older version or UltraJack skip to step 6.)
2. Navigate to the folder /clockworkmod/download/mirror.sea.tdrevolution.net/cm/recoveries/ (create the folders if they are not already there)
3. Delete any files in that folder.
4. Download the recovery you want to use from the recovery links below. Unzip the file. Rename the "recovery.img" file to "recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-ideos.img". (See note below)
5. Copy the renamed "recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-ideos.img" into the recoveries folder (/clockworkmod/download/mirror.sea.tdrevolution.net/cm/recoveries/)
6. Open ROM Manager and select Flash ClockworkMod Recovery. It will bring up a list of devices, just scroll down until you find Huawei U8150 Ideos and select it.
7. ROM Manager will flash the recovery image for you and you're done.
Now you have a working recovery. To test select Reboot into Recovery from ROM Manager.
Since you are renaming the recoveries remember to keep track of which recovery is currently in the recoveries folder.
Note: recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-ideos.img is the name of the latest ClockworkMod Recovery in rom manager at this time (28/04/2011). If it is updated and I haven't updated the thread, change the name of the recovery to the latest version.(i.e if the latest recovery is ClockworkMod 3.0.2.5, rename the img to recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.5-ideos.img instead of recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-ideos.img)
Method 3
Installing Drivers
Windows 7:
Download and install PDANet. That should install the drivers for you.
Alternatively, you could download the drivers and install them manually. First download the drivers for your OS from here.
Drivers Windows 32-Bit Mediafire Multiupload
Drivers Windows 64-Bit Mediafire Multiupload
Connect your device(you don't need to turn on USB storage) then open device manager. Right click on your device and select properties, select the hardware tab and then select properties. Select the drivers tab, then select Reinstall/Update Driver. Choose the option (Browse my computer for driver software) and select the drivers you just downloaded. (Extract the zip file first)
MacOS
Download and install PDANet. That should install the drivers for you.
Linux
Follow this guide by bloodychaos to get ADB working.
Flashing Recovery
1. Once you have the drivers installed download the recovery of your choice from the links below.
2. Extract the zip file and open the folder.
3. Turn off your phone.
4. Connect your phone to your PC.
5. Reboot your phone in bootloader mode. (Turn it on while holding the Volume Down button and the End(Red) Key.)
6. Run the install-recovery file/script for your OS found in the extracted recovery folder.
7. Once it flashes your phone should reboot.
N/B If you have trouble with the drivers or any other problems try Method 1.
Now you have a working recovery. To test turn off your phone, then turn it on while holding the Volume Up Key and the Green(Call) Key.

For some reason the ideos does not appear on the list, I have no idea why, you might have to try one of the other methods to flash a recovery.

Thanx for the quick reply, i ended up using method 3.
Just one thing about method 3, the batch file doesn't exist in the ClockworkMod 3.0.2.4 (by marcnvidic) link as it's only an .img file. So i simply downloaded the ClockworkMod 3.0.1.(by udK) zip file, and replaced the image with the newer 3.0.2.4 after unzipping it.
Thank you for the guide, i've successfully flashed clockworkmod, and backed up the phone. now all i have to do is choose a ROM.
which ROM do u suggest???
cheers,
Simon

Thank you for the guide, i've successfully flashed clockworkmod, and backed up the phone. now all i have to do is choose a ROM.
which ROM do u suggest???
cheers,
Simon

That was the official link from marcnvidic, the multipuload & mediafire mirrors should have the batch files. Anyway, for the rom I would suggest FUSIONideos or Dronix 0.4, there's a poll somewhere on this forum and those are the most popular, Gingerman V4 is also pretty good but I wouldn't suggest it as your first rom because its still relatively new and is still being improved so it isn't perfect as a daily use rom yet. I switch btw fusion & gingerman, but I can tell you fusion is pretty stable. One thing to note however, if you are not using gingerman or another cyanogenmod port, I would suggest using clockworkmod by udK as your recovery, cwm 3.0.2.4 has some issues making backups of other roms.
Mate, I'm loving this
So far i've flashed CM6.1 port, Fusion, and Dronix 0.4! hehe i'm addicted now! Right now i'm back to CM6.1, but will try Gingerman V4 soon
Thanx for your help mate, you're a champion.
EDIT: thought i'd explain why i'm on CM6.1. Reason being is that I even though i think Fusion is the better one so far, I can't seem to have a solid 3G connection.
I'm from Sydney Australia, and with Optus. The APN seems to be correct and all, but the phone keeps switching from 3G to H.
tq for this information...i have done it
thanks !!!!!
I'm having a bit of trouble.
I was trying method 2 and clicked the wrong phone model. I went to change it but found that "Huawei IDEOS U8150" is not listed. Now I cannot access my recovery menu, and cannot install clockwork recovery. How would I fix this? I've been searching for hours and only found ways to remove it via the recovery menu.
Everything is functioning fine so it's not a big problem, I just can't get to the recovery menu/boot loader.
Also, I attempted method 1 because it doesn't involve the use of the recovery menu. It says, "flash_image: not found" when I type the command.
Nevermind, put about another hour into searching. Thank you so much for this guide it helped me alot.
I installed ROM Manager and pressed "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery".
It downloaded some files and flashed the Mod.
(I have my u8150 rooted using SuperOneClick)
Now it shows that my ClockworkMod Recovery version is 3.0.2.4
BUT the problem is that:
1>If I press reboot into recovery, the phone reboots and I end up staring at the IDEOS logo for ... like ever.
2>I pressed Backup Current ROM and after giving it a name (Stock ROM), I pressed OK and again the same result.
3> I found on the internet that to go into the recovery mode I need to press the SEND (green button) and the Volume UP together and then press Power.
I did it, even held the three buttons in the next try... but sadly every time the phone got stuck and I ended up looking at the IDEOS logo.
and the only way to get the phone working again was to take out the battery and press Power. (the phone itself is running fine)
PLz kindly help me out on this.. am I missing something??
Thnx
That means the recovery didn't flash correctly. Are u sure u selected the right phone from the rom manager list. Try flash recovery again. But first u need to delete everything in the clockworkmod/download directory on the sd card. Or if you know how to, just delete the recovery image in that folder.
yes I selected the corret phone i.e. Huawei u8150 Ideos
i deleted everything in the clockworkmod/download directory on the sd card
re-flashed..
still the same problem
btw.. during flashing, twice I got a pop-up asking me to either "force close" or "wait" and I pressed "wait" both times.
P.S. I just noticed after removing the battery that it says the model of my phone is U8150-D. I wonder what the "D" stands for?
It shuld not be force closing. Maybe rom manager has a problem. Try reinstalling it. If that doesn't work I suggest trying one of the other methods to flash the recovery.
ok so ive just tried Method 1 and followed every step... and the funny thing is that when I enter the following command in terminal emulator:
flash_image recovery /system/bin/recovery.img
.. it says
flash_image: not found
lol
now im downloading ultrajack
Update:
Ive tried Method 3:
and for 10 minutes now.. my command prompt is still showing this message:
< waiting for device >
:-(
For method 3 try running the bat file first then when it shows you the waiting for device message turn on the phone in bootloader mode.
just did as you said, i turned off the phone.. ran the bat file, when it said waiting for device I plugged in the phone (battery charging started), then I pressed power while holding Red and Volume Down...
the result is the same..
(the same was the result when running ultrajack)
>im just wondering... do I need to install any kernel or something before doing this??
>also I noticed that the CWM's recovery.img that I got from this forum is 3.94MB, while the one I downloaded through the Rom Manager was 3.71MB (on both tries).
P.S. how do I completely remove CWM and its files? so i can start the process fresh. I read at some forum that there is some file related to this called update.zip... whats that?
(Sorry for being a bother and thnx for your help)
UPDATE !!!
Its done... its finally done. Yattaaaaa!!!
ok so here is is what I did....
>I deleted everything in the clockworkmod folder like you once mentioned before.
>You said that while flashing I shouldn't be getting a pop-up that asks me to either force close or wait.
>So I had a hunch that the popup that appeared during the flashing might have been caused due to the screen timeout set at 30 sec (i mean a clash of two processes)
>So, i set the screen timeout to 30 minutes (hehe) and pressed Flash ClockworkMod Recovery from the Rom Manager.
>It flashed without any pop-ups and it successfully booted into recovery mode (and the first thing I did was to backup my phone)
Once again thnx for your support wachw.
... and if you don't mind can you help me with one more thing (if it's convenient for you)... plz guide me how to install multitouch for my phone provided here (coz nobody at that thread has been generous enough to guide me ;_; )
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1014183
[i have downloaded the multitouch patch and the complied kernel, plz guide me on what to do next. thnx ]
Sorry about the delay, been busy, but, if you send me the link to your provider's rom I can make a multitouch version for you. Why don't you want to install a custom rom?
here is the link to my provider's rom:
http://webftp.myppc.it/index.php?dir=Ideos/ROM/
direct link
http://webftp.myppc.it/index.php?dir=Ideos/ROM/&file=U8150 V100R001C230B828SP02(Pakistan Ufone ).rar
custom rom, hmm.. well ive heard about them but for now i want to see how much can the stock rom be modified xD
btw is it really possible to edit the rom and remove the simlock
someone here says so:

[RECOVERY] [Vodafone Smart / Huawei U8160] Unofficial ClockworkMod Recovery

Edit: February 2012: please disregard ALL information below this red text. ROM Manager now supports the Huawei U8160, and will flash the official recovery build from the app. See the Getting Started with ROM Manager & ClockworkMod section in this post.
ClockworkMod Recovery for Vodafone Smart (Huawei U8160)
Current release - v0.1 - 12 September 2011 [CWM Ver. 4.0.1.5]
What is ClockworkMod Recovery? From AddictiveTips:
ClockworkMod – also known as Clockwork and CWM – is a custom recovery for Android phones and tablets that allows you to perform several advanced recovery, restoration, installation and maintenance operations on your Android device that aren’t possible with the stock recovery.
Click to collapse
Installation - Fastboot Method:
Use this method if you have never installed a build of ClockworkMod before.
Download the Android SDK for your operating system [Windows users are recommended to download the .zip version].
Extract the fastboot / fastboot.exe file from the tools folder of the Android SDK zip file to a folder on your computer.
Download the latest zip release of ClockworkMod using the link(s) below.
Open the ClockworkMod .zip file and extract the recovery.img file to the same folder as the fastboot / fastboot.exe binary.
Reboot (or turn your phone one) whilst holding the power and volume down keys. Your phone will now be in "fastboot" mode.
Open a terminal or command prompt, and run the following commands:
Note: these are example instructions for a Windows user who has extracted the fastboot.exe and recovery.img to C:\VodafoneSmart. Adjust the folder path to wherever you extracted these files.
Code:
cd C:\VodafoneSmart
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot
Installation - ClockworkMod Method (zip):
Use this method if you already have ClockworkMod installed, and you wish to update the version that already exists on your phone.
Download the latest zip release using the link(s) below.
Transfer the .zip file to your SD card. Do not extract the .zip file - only copy it.
Reboot into ClockworkMod, choose the option Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard. Select the current release, and confirm the update by selecting Yes. Reboot and enjoy!
Usage:
To access ClockworkMod recovery, any one of the follow methods will work:
If you are running a build of CyanogenMod, choose the Recovery option from the reboot menu;
Run "adb shell reboot recovery" on any rooted ROM;
Reboot your device whilst holding the power and volume up keys.[/li]
Once you've entered ClockworkMod Recovery, you will be presented with several options (some familiar, some not). I won't try to explain all of the options, as there are better guides on the internet (example: the AddictiveTips site above). However, these are the ones you should really know about:
Wipe data/factory reset - same as before
Wipe cache partition - same as before
Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard - this is the new method you will be using to flash ROMs and update packages
Backup & restore - this menu lets you perform a full backup or restore of your boot, /cache, /data/ & app2sd partition (which is compatible with mad2sd)
Mounts & storage -> mount USB storage - this lets you enable UMS mode to copy update packages (if you forgot to transfer before rebooting into recovery)
Advanced -> partition SD card - this lets you easily partition your SD card for use with mad2sd or any third-party app2sd solutions. It lets you select the size for the EXT4 partition as well as swap. MAKE SURE TO BACKUP ALL DATA ON YOUR CARD BEFORE USING THIS OPTION.
Changelog:
[CWM Ver. 4.0.1.5] v0.1 zip - 12 September 2011
First release.
Hi, I've been trying this guide and am having trouble with both methods.
Fastboot Method
I get into fastboot mode (where it's just at the hourglass screen), and type in "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img". The command prompt just says "Waiting for device", and never updates.
ClockworkMod Method
I installed the CWM I got off the Android Market, and then tried to reboot into recovery mode (both by rebooting through CWM and by pressing Volume+Up & Power). I just end up waiting at the hourglass screen like when it's in fastboot mode.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
for fastboot try without battery inside (only usb) works for me
if fastboot wont work try methode 3. http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-install-a-custom-recovery-to-an-android-phone-device/
with extractet recovery.img from zip (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17496869)

EDIT: It works ... download Pulse_Drivers_xp_w7_w764.zip from dc-unlocker (sry can't post link).

for linux users??
just a note, the U8160 has a different USB hardware ID when in fastboot mode, and so inside 70.android.rules you need to add "12d1" and "18d1"
18d1 is the fastboot USB id and 12d1 is the adb USB id
This is for linux btw.

EDIT: I flashed the IDEOS recovery through rom manager then flashed back this recovery, and now it works like it should.
EDIT: done, thanks a lot
for pulse driver, turn on phone, then press power + volume down, then plug usb, PC will search for a driver
fastboot is just: power button + volume down (and then it sticks on logo or hourglass) then open command prompt on pc

Is There....?

A straight forward guide on how to flash CWM .... ANYWHERE?
I dont feel I'm a noob.... I've flashed all my phones.... Elf, HD, HD2, Desire.... but this Xoom is about to go out the window!
The instructions to me read "boot to recovery and flash from SD card" ... how do I boot to recovery when thats what I'm trying to install?
I've tried Lord AIO and that will unlock the bootloader, but CWM install flashes past in under a second so I dont think its working... If I try the root it just says it cant find SD card... and of course CWM ROM manger wants Root access.... One click root wont work with UK Xooms...
Anyone got a straight forward guide.... ?:fingers-crossed:
UK Xoom running 4.1.2 wifi...
For example.... TWRP thread ....
Installation instructions (option 1)
Download zip file from link below
Place zip on Micro SDcard
Reboot into existing recovery
HOW? I'm trying to install my first recovery??????
Cold booting ODM? whats that??? I get that if I hold vol + & - together....
Or power and Vol - I get "Starting Fastboot protocol support" - it stays there until I reset it....
Here is how I rooted my xoom and install the initial custom recovery and the install TWRP recovery.
If you already unlocked your bootloader you can skip that step.
follow the directions here but instead of doing step 1 follow this for adb install http://www.support-4-you.com/main/i...ged-adb-installation&catid=40:how-tos&Itemid= it is a 1 click adb install then follow from step 2 on.
When you are done there you can install TWRP 2.4 touch screen recovery (a much better recovery than what you used to root.)
Download TWRP2.4 zip and put on the root of your external sd card. ( if you don't have a sd card we will do it another way just let me know)
Boot into recovery by turning your xoom off.
1. press power
2. when the moto dual core logo comes on wait 3 seconds and press volume down
3. recovery should be displayed across the top press volume up.
You can skip steps 1- 3 now that you are rooted if you download Quick Boot open it, select recovery and the grant Super user permission
4. go to install zip from sd card (just like when you rooted) and find the TWRP 2.4 Zip and install
5. reboot your xoom
6. you now have TWRP 2.4 recovery installed.
really appreciate your help but that still doesnt work....
C:\SDK\tools>adb reboot bootloader
'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
C:\SDK\tools>
Or from the root....
C:\>cd sdk
C:\SDK>adb reboot bootloader
'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
C:\SDK>
found the adb - its not in the root of SDK as the guide says.... but still wont flash....
C:\SDK\platform-tools>adb reboot bootloader
C:\SDK\platform-tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery-Tiamat-R4c-100611-1150-cwm.img
'fastboot' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
C:\SDK\platform-tools>
Spent hours on this now.... nothing
Its a UK GED Wifi Xoom... I bought it with ICS on and its done OTA to JB 4.1.2 - so I guess it has already had the bootloader unlocked... I've unlocked it again... so I dont know if that has caused problems...
I've tried following the guides but they seem very disjointed and not easy to follow, is it worth continuing? am I actually going to gain anything?
It would be nice to be able to overclock it as the Xoom is starting to show its age now.......
I'd be most grateful if anyone can help me.......
Google whether your phone can be bootloader unlocked. If it can then the best way (I think) to get cwm and root is to
unlock bootloader.
flash a kernel boot.img in fast boot which has cwm.
Flash a rom which has root

easy fix. The folder you have adb installed you need to put fastboot.exe and then run the fastboot command.
It sounds like you don't have all the files you need in the same folder.
did you run the one click adb install method I posted?
don't worry about he sdk part (like i posted use the one click adb install and then skip to step 2 of that thread).
If you follow the steps posted in that thread (skipping the sdk) you will be rooted. And then continue on with the rest of the steps I posted for inbstalling TWRP
Really appreciate your help dfib1.... but now I get....
C:\>cd sdk_tools
C:\SDK_tools>adb reboot bootloader
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
C:\SDK_tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery-Tiamat-R4c-100611-1150-cwm.img
error: cannot load 'recovery-Tiamat-R4c-100611-1150-cwm.img'
The disk image file is definitely on the SD card....
OK - I put the disk image in the same folder as the SDK_tools and it appeared to flash... I got..
C:\SDK_tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery-Tiamat-R4c-100611-1150-cwm.img
sending 'recovery' (3998 KB)... OKAY [ 0.650s]
writing 'recovery'... OKAY [ 1.283s]
finished. total time: 1.935s
But when I hit the vol - 3 seconds after the logo I get "Android Recovery" - I selected it with vol+ but I then get a an Android laying on his back with a red triangle...
that should have put the recovery on your xoom. Did you unlock your bootloader?
try this recovery twrp 2.4 download it and put it in the c:\sdk_tools folder and type
fastboot flash recovery TWRPv2.4.1.0.img
then try and reboot into recovery
Cheers dfib1 - managed to get the root done' but the Roms are shockingly bad compaired to stock....:crying:
What roms have you tried? My personal favorites are Black Bean 7 and EOS. The EOS is the smoothest rom I have used with a lot of options to customize it.

Running EOS4 nightly at the mo... probably gonna have to change it... the keyboard has issues and there appears to be alot of lag.... are you using EOS 3?
I am running eos4 right now. I do have the keyboard issue bur I just downloaded a new one from the market until they fix it. As far as the lag I have not seen it but I am also using apex launcher pro. Black bean 7 is having issues with the keyboard and data issues but a new release is coming soon to fix these.

Well i guess if you follow it step by step there won't be any problem. If you get stuck at some point just comment here. And installing adb is just like the normal installation of any setup files in windows.Regarding the flashing of twrp there is nothing much to do than the steps mentioned above. If you still need a video go for this.https://youtu.be/kmq2Eyzl3wA NOTE:This video makes use of files for the sd410 model,so don't use the files in that video.Get the files from this post. This video can make you familiarize the process, but steps mentioned here is slightly different.

After I flashed TWRP and then entered it, it asked for a password to decrypt my storage. I didnt set any password for my phone so I pressed cancel after which came the TWRP menu. But once I selected the install option so as to flash the supersu file, I was unable to find my zip file in it. When I searched for solution, they said it was because my storage is encryted that I was'nt able to acces the data. They adviced to format data through wipe option in TWRP. But still no use. And to add to the problem, when I tried to reboot into system, I was left with a black screen and couln't get to the homescreen.
Please consider my problem and hoping for your fast reply.

Boot back into twrp home screen - WIPE- FORMAT DATA , after that, also from twrp , REBOOT-RECOVERY, after that, go ahead and flash the root file and then try to boot into home screen.
Place the root file on an external sd card.

Thank for your fast reply. By following your steps, I was successful in rooting the phone but when rebooting back to home screen, the black screen's still there.

I guess you have copied the super su file to external sd card.Formatting data as mentioned by jide1 did remove the encryption for me.If it doesn't work do advanced wipe with only the data, cache and dalvik cache boxes checked.Note:don't check any other box. Then reboot into twrp.Go to mount in twrp and see that your external sd is mounted. Now access the external sd card in install option and you will find the files of super su.

Flash twrp again ,disconnect usb cable from pc, then press and HOLD "volume down" AND "power button" when device vibrates, RELEASE "power button" WHILE still holding "volume down" , that should do the job.
Need stock boot.img
I require the stock boot.img so if anyone is kind enough to upload it, ill be greatful. Or if anyone knows how to extract it from the raw image, that'd also be appreciated.

Download the official firmware from Asus website and unpack the zip file, and you'll see the boot.img file there.

Install Rom Stock 3.18 with Gapps support (google apps)

Install Rom Stock 3.18 with Gapps support (google apps), (Possibly works for rons 3.05 and 3.11).
Any and all software changes are the responsibility of the user. If you have doubts or little knowledge about these resources don't do it!
I am not responsible for problems or defects when using this tutorial
Make sure you have 100% battery
We will need a pendrive and an OTG.
The files for the pendrive are in the “Pendrive + Roms” folder (the update can be removed if it is not used, eg if you are going to install rom 3.18, you can remove the file from rom 3.05 plus the file from rom 3.11).
The complete folder with the necessary files (vbmetaDISABLE, recoveryTWRP.img ...) and ADB commands is: “ADB Nubia-X folder”, this folder must be saved on the computer for ADB commands.
The ABD commands will basically be:
• fastboot oem nubia_unlock NUBIA_NX616J
• fastboot flash recovery recoveryTWRP.img
• fastboot flash vbmeta vbmetaDISABLED.img
• fastboot reboot
Files on the virtual drive, link:

First we must understand that with the roms in hand, ZTE NUBIA website: Link Nubia, there is a process for the correct update. Example: if we are in rom 3.05 and we want to update to 3.11 or 3.18 using the original recovery, only the OTG (rom on pendrive) will always show an error in the 25% update, so for the correct update you need to downgrade and so the phone is enabled to update later. More precisely, let's say that we are at rom 3.05 and we intend to upgrade to rom 3.18 in view of this we must follow the following steps: 3.05> downgrade to 2.11 <upgrade to 3.18, remembering that it is not necessary to initialize the device between the firmware installations.
(all necessary files are on the virtual drive)
First of all to be able to start with the updates we need to have recovery stock on the device. If you are currently with TWRP you can go to the TWRP menu at: "Advanced" / "Glass Tools" / "Stock Recovery" and drag the bar to the side that will return ´for stock Recovery, if you are in Stock just follow the steps :
Restart the device with Vol + pressed to open the Recovery menu.
The menus are navigated using the Vol + keys; Vol-; and Power as the enter button.
Clear the cache and data: English / Wipe Data / Userdata Partition + Cahe Partition (back up the data previously).
Navigate in the menu: Choose Update Package, here already with the appropriate files on the USB stick, select the firmware “NX616J-update-2.11.zip”.
After updating, it will restart automatically, then press and hold the “Vol +” button and when the menu appears, navigate to: Choose Update Package and select the firmware “NX616J-update-3.18.zip”.
After updating 100% it will restart again, press and hold the “Vol-” button and this time we will enter “Fastboot menu”.
The commands via ADB (See ADB tutorial here on XDA), will be as follows:
6.1 fastboot oem nubia_unlock NUBIA_NX616J (to unlock the bootloader)
6.2. fastboot flash vbmeta vbmetaDISABLED.img (avoid partial brick)
6.3. fastboot flash recovery recoveryTWRP.img (implement TWRP recovery)
After the fastboot commands, we will navigate with the Vol + / Vol- buttons to the “Reboot to recovery mode” option or restart the device with the “Vol +” button pressed.
On the recovery screen select the option “Install” / sub menu “Select Storage” / “USB-OTG” / “Magisk-v20.4.zip” (I repeated this process 2 times)
Now switch on the device normally and make the first and basic necessary settings. Note: if the message appears that the device is corrupt, do not panic. Restart the device with “Vol-” pressed and follow steps “6.1 and 6.2”, and continue the procedures.
After everything is ok check if the “Magisk Manager” is showing on the screen, if ok skip to step “11”. And if not, repeat step “8”. (If the original recovery is restored, repeat step “6”); If a corrupt device appears (partial brick), restart the device with the “Vol-” button pressed and follow steps “6.1 and 6.2”, and continue with step “8”.
Device restarted and with Magisk on the screen we must install the apk: “GoogleLoginService.apk” by the file explorer.
Now again we restart the device in Recovery Mode (“Power” + “Vol +”) and follow the steps: “Install” / sub menu “Select Storage” / “USB-OTG” / “open_gapps-arm64-9.0-pico- 20200403 ”and the pico gapps will be installed (use the pico because I was successful with google services).
Now we restart the device and we will see the “PlayStore” icon but it still doesn't work. So let's install the apps: “microg_YouTube_Vanced_0.2.6.17455_28052019.apk” (MicroG) + “com.google.android.gm_2020.05.17.313130477.apk” (Gmail).
With the applications installed, we start the Gmail app and make the login settings. Upon completion, the “PlayStore” will function normally.
Optional applications: AuroraStore_3.2.8.apk; Solid-Explorer-v2.8.0-Arm64-www.ReXdl.com.apk; Split APKs Installer SAI_v3.12_apkpure.com.apk; YouTube_Vanced-v15.05.54-nonroot-default-dark.apks (YouTube_Vanced is installed by the “SAI” App).
This was the step by step that I did to make the google apps work without problems, I did it twice exactly as described and both times everything went well. The GPS bug does not exist and the Waze app works perfectly, google apps work very well, except google drive when using a .edu account, but with personal accounts they work 100%.

Update:
I managed to do everything, but now have a problem with WIFI, its just simply won't turn on, what can I do fix this?
Hello and thank you so much for this tutorial and tools to add Play Store to the Nubia X.
I know it's an old thread, but there is now a v3.25 official (and probably last) ROM update on the official Nubia X web page. Did anyone install it using this method and is everything working?
I'm still on Mokee ROM and everything seems to be working fine, but since the main maintainer has stopped his (very good!) work, I might once try to go back to stock, just in case.
Thanks in advance
