Why Check On F. Reset Time ?

That's on default when i start my Odin.
So i just left it as it is.
U can choose to have it unchecked but more importantly, the rest of the boxes should be left unchecked.

That setting makes sure the clock is reset.
But you can choose to live in India with Germany or Hong Kong Time on your phone.
It is your phone.

Think of it as installing a new OS like Windows.
U have to format ur harddrive and install the OS right ?
Same for the phone too.

how to install superuser? i have already downloaded zip file from legion's link mentioned in 1st post?
My guess is using CWM. Just want to sure I don't do it wrong :
EDIT: Took a chance and did it. Working fine

Hello.
I want to ask if it would be ok to flash Taiwan rom dircetly even if my original rom is not Taiwan (Mine being Arabic rom)? Will there be any conflicts in Kernel and Baseband things?
Sorry for the noob question.

Hi Guys
I just downloaded the XWLA4 Tar.md5 file, and changed the cache.img with Indian(Mine) tar.md5's Cache.img. Now,when I try to flash it using ODIN, I get an MD5 error..
<ID:0/013> Added!!
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> MD5 hash value is invalid
<OSM> I9103XWLA4_I9103DRELA1_I9103NELA1_HOME.tar.md5 is invalid.
<OSM> End...
How to overcome it??

Samsung Galaxy 3 (I5801/I5800) Flashing Guide

Before these steps make sure you have latest version of kies installed, it helps in keeping latest drivers installed.
Files required for Flashing can be downloaded here.
1) Start Odin (if using windows 7 or vista right click Odin and use run as administrator)
2) Check "One Package" checkbox
3) Check “Reboot” checkbox
4) Check protect ops checkbox (Don’t check this if you are flashing I5801 with I5800 firmware for the first time.)
5) Check reset time checkbox, keep the default value as it is i.e. 300 don’t select any other options.
6) Hit reset files button once.
7) Click ops button and select OPS file for I5800
8) Click one package and select the firmware you want to flash. The file must a .tar file.
9) You can take a backup of your data/apps. For that you can use Titanium Backup. For backing up contacts and SMS.
A) go to contacts press menu/left most button select import/export option, then export the contacts to sdcard.
B) For sms use the app called SMS backup.
10) Now remove your sdcard and sim card from phone and do a factory reset/ Hard Reset also clear cache then restart and put it in downloading mode by pressing vol- + home + power button together.
11) Now connect your phone to pc.
12) Odin will show yellow color and com port no. in the first box on top in Odin.
13) Click Start and watch the progress bar and timer, wait until PASS message appear on Message box.
14) Disconnect the phone from PC when Odin displays disconnect serial port & wait until rebooting phone.
Let the phone boot it takes some time 5-10 mins for first boot so don’t panic.
After reboot do factory reset or Hard Reset also clear cache again then restart phone and put sim and sdcard back in.
Sorry cant post images right now in office, will attach images as soon as i get home.
Please let me know if i have missed anything or if anything needs correction.
ATENTION I5801 USERS:
to keep the i5801 bootscreen you should remove boot.bin and sbl.bin from the .tar file before flashing.
Not needed to remove SD/SIM.
thanks for the guide!

Till now we don't need different .ops file for any of our firmwares they all can be flashed using same .ops file in the link i gave.
Yes you need to select the the same ops file apollo_0531.ops every time.
You wont get .ops files within Firmware zip files.
Attached is a image of Odin while all is set and we need to hit start.

You gotta be kidding me. You don't flash it in cwm, you odin it. Why is there a new one of these threads at least once a day? Read the forum people!
Don't flash using your phone, flash via Odin. Do a little search, there's many tutorials people have posted for it!

Go into task manager and clear all the other processes that are going on. Make sure when you run odin you right click and run as admin
I'm pretty sure that tar file will increase your flash counter if your worried about that at all. I'd use the one from sammobile (look at the last page of the thread you used). In terms of it not flashing, maybe try a different usb port.

After the install don't let it boot to the home screen. Instead immediately boot right back into CWM and then you'll be fine.
"Q: I don’t see ClockworkMod Recovery when I enter recovery, I see stock Android recovery.
A: With newer software updates, you may be encountering this error because it will overwrite ClockworkMod Recovery upon reboot. To get around this, simply boot into ClockworkMod Recovery right after flashing in ODIN."
Actually, I found ODIN 3.0.4 was better to flash the GNote 10.1 with... In fact I had problems getting 1.85 to recognise the note was attached to the PC. Since I had 3.04 too i tried that and had no problems... I would suggest using the later version of ODIN, ODIN 3.0.4....

Hi all
I hereby present to you a cool addition for our beloved Note3 (SM-N9005 model).
Photos
Thanks to my junior @Kill-Switch
Please read the steps properly before you start flashing.
Don't hold me responsible for any damages you might end up doing to your device if you choose to flash either of the 4 files that I'm providing to you! :cyclops:
1. Go to Download mode.
2. Flash the BL file using Odin (remove Auto-Reboot tick).
3. After its been flashed completely, remove the data cable & pull out the battery.
4. Go to the Download Mode again.
5. This time, flash the CP file using Odin (don't remove Auto-Reboot tick).
These are links to 2 sets:
GPS works fine for me in the newer set, it might work for you with the older set.
1. Old
&
2. New
Tbh, the way I did it was, I flashed the Old set initially (photographs from that time) then I flashed the Newer set (hoping GPS would be better) & I still have the "Powered by Android" text in my phone.

If I'm not wrong, this is the boot splash that you've modified. If so, then let me make one small request . Can you please make another one That says Note 7 instead of Note 3
Edit: I know this basic fact that boot splash (param.bin) has nothing to do with CP (modem) so I only flashed the new BL file with auto reboot ticked in Odin and it was success for me without the need to change my modem or follow the steps in OP. I've got the new boot splash now. Good job mate, hop you will make one that I've requested :good:

Yeah but I thought you just edited the image from the bootloader. Is this a custom bootloader then? Not a lot of info on the OP but I'm still a bit of noob with boot loaders and modems

agree mate..hope he help
Just an opinion, but for those who like the hassles, can just grab the latest stock Note 3 firmware on sammobile and flash it using Odin. I did that and saw the Powered by Android text when I rebooted my phone. Its a good thing to update your bootloader and baseband as well, but if you like the simple way then go ahead with this one.
P.S Nice guide by the way
This didn't work for me though. I tried installing both new and old, untick auto-reboot, retick auto-reboot, all the tricks in the book, restarted the phone, after each method, no Powered by Android

Download Odin v3.13.1
Extract the firmware file you just downloaded. You should get 5 files:
AP (System & Recovery)
BL (Bootloader)
CP (Modem / Radio)
CSC_OXM (OXM CSC file, will wipe your phone)
Add each file to it's respective field in Odin v3.13.1.
Once in download mode, connect your phone to the PC, preferably using the original USB cable you got with your phone. Odin should detect your device and a blue box will show up with the COM port number.
Do NOT tick any extra boxes. The only options to be ticked are F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot.
Click the start button, wait for Odin to say 'PASS'. Once the flash is complete, your phone will reboot.
Works on SM-A530F/DS ? Middle east version
Yes.
Can you check if has treble support?

I just tested it with my own A530F Dual Sim version and it works.
If you are not sure, don't do it. Flashing is always a risk.
