[ROM][Googlecode release] FINAL version 20.11.2011 r175 - HD Mini Android Development

Hey guys,
as promised, here is our FINAL release of the Froyo Sense ROM.
Link to download:
http://code.google.com/p/photon-android/downloads/list
What's new ?
- tun.ko module for VPN Services added
- cleaned up the release
- fixed several minor bugs
- added new audio & acoustic workaround:
* Volume now fully working, in call & with headset
* fixed the Mic Echo bug
* see Status here: http://htc-linux.org/wiki/index.php?title=PhotonAcousticDevelopment
(Unfortunately didn't fix FM Radio yet, also BLUETOOTH-Audio Routing, i do not have a headset :/ )
Have Fun!
Additional installation instructions:
We recommend not to make an update!
- Give it some more minutes on first boot before you start with the installationwizard
- Restart after setup
- Use Wifi to get latest market updates
- When you are having problem's with 3G connection (APN etc) add the 3G fix from Download Section!
FAQ:
What does "FINAL" release mean?
It means that development on this froyo release with HTC sense has stopped
Why has it stopped?
Froyo is too old, has no longer official support by google and there are no new updates by HTC. Also, most of the applications are proprietary and the ROM is a native Liberty ROM, it makes no sense to continue development there.
And now?
It seems that the "Google Code Page" project will be stopped.
But don't panic! I have started developing on new android & kernel sources some weeks ago, I am also waiting for a developing workaround for nand boot, so be patient, there will be a big update within the next 2-3 weeks
Feel free to report BUGs, but don't forget that there won't be any updates on this in future!

thnx very much for your effort and time ... and good luck in your next project
i will test it .

Thank a lot for all

Thanks for the great efforts, every update is wellcomed.
Can you fix Arabic support ? there is a reported issue about it in google code.
thanks

great job dude, as always

thanks to the wonderful surprise;
look forward to the upcoming new

thank u very much i was really looking forward for this..

Problem solved for me echo, now I can always use Android, again thanks to the developers.

out of curiosity I would like to know what was the problem with the echo - if possible, if not - no problem - greetings from me for good job

To make the answer short: several filters haven't been set in smem

its ok. the problem is solved.
thank you tzacapaca and best regards.

Thank you very much, Schlund, & All Developers...
The something I like to tell if i'm understand:
the devs won't work on Android 2.2 froyo anymore. and the devs will start work on newer Android versions (for ex: Gingerbread, or maybe IceCream ), and also continue project fixing bugs: like Video, Graphic.
Hope I understand Right.
anyway, I'm very Thankfully.

Nice. And the battery problem is solved?

Thank you so much devs for this great work.

thank you
thank you and other devs!

First feedback
To be honnest, I don't really feel a clear improvement, may be the OS is more fast.
But the big bug for me, is that while the phone is connected to USB for charge, the phone is very, very, very slow...
There must be a kind of process running in parallel while usb is plugged on, that slows everything.
NB: I have only test the USB charge via a PC usb port, not on sector.
Cheers.

[32A][6.35] Sanpei's Sense 0.4, with latest updates and fixes from my Hero Port

FOR 32A, RADIO 6.35 and SPL 1.76
CAUTION: for daily use, I feel this port are stable enough for many people. but it may not suitable for others. and it is a bit slow at sometime. I won't optimize it at current, since the speed is acceptable, and I must keep it "clean" to avoid any hidden bugs before we can get all things working properly.
plz don't touch your phone until everything have been loaded completely. I also can't suffer the speed during something are loading after boots. after everything have been loaded and use the phone for a while, I feel the speed is fine personally.
wipe and flash in recovery, and you should delete the generated files (by android) in your sd card.
Eris v0.4 & Legend V0.4[UPDATED at June, 16th] :
latest update [Jun 26]::
OC: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=349885&d=1277499752
non-OC: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=350638&d=1277631885 , under testing, plz report bugs.
though they were developed with HERO port, but I think it could be used in all my ports.
eris port is stable enough (but it is still a leaked and undone version, so maybe it has some hidden bugs.). and it is faster than legend one. but it looks rather old, and features are less. it doesn't have apps like friend stream; the browser doesn't have some functions; etc. it is for CDMA phone, so simcard operations are missed. i.e. you couldn't disable simcard contacts.
for MMS, you can use MmsZap which has been included in the ROM, set the fields (you could copy them from your APN) then press "back", MmsZap will save your settings into system automatically. after this, don't forget uninstalling it, this software isn't made very well.
works:
should be all now
HTC Sync will work with with http://www.easy-share.com/1909610034/HTCSync2.0.25.exe , thank beetleman and hanserson1 who uploaded it, thank capychimp who figured out this.
if you have troubles with your gps: shutdown with gps enabled (whether if it works or not). the gps will initialize properly when next time the phone boots. or maybe you could use the libgps.so from 0.34pre (it have other problems with some device).
download:
legend: http://www.multiupload.com/EM9MJRQKKP , thanks capychimp (as always )
eris: http://www.multiupload.com/3Z6506MF9F
caution: you must read texts below before you download it.
you could download it, if, and only if, you have become a tester of these works: kernel binaries and lib binaries which are made by me. as a tester, you do not have any rights (i.e. ownership) with these files.
certainly, you could use it as before or as using any other ROM .
if you click any download link in my posts, it means that you volunteer for testing these works, to speed up the progress of development and final release.
in this situation, you will become a tester of this ROM automatically.
if you don't want to be a tester, but you want to be a user: at current, you are not allowed to download any files from my posts. you shouldn't download them, because they are just for internal tests. please wait for a public release.

addition:
for JIT, download this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=345213&stc=1&d=1276842897
you have to set your Home Wallpaper and Lockscreen Wallpaper to something on sdcard before the first boot with JIT enabled, (and you can set them back after that: I have tried other HTC wallpapers except default). the workaround is found by klothius, thx .
if you encountered any trouble, and want it disabled, flash this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=345214&stc=1&d=1276842897
capychimp's ROMs:
they include many useful things, (and all my ROMs are pure ports), you can find them here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=671847
other words for rom dev:
please upgrade to .32 kernel, i have stopped my works on the .29 kernel.
the kernel someone called "eli" or "ELI" is the sanpei's one too, so if you find bugs or have some thoughts on it, plz let me know.
and you are welcome to make your own mod based on my works.
Nice work. I don't have a rooted Magic but I'm excited to see this.
Does the bluetooth problem have to do with changing the line. I've seen Cyanogen talk about this fix for some Eclair ROMs:
-n -s 115200 /dev/ttyHS0 texas 4000000 flow
to
-n -s 115200 /dev/ttyHS0 texasalt 4000000 flow
in init.sapphire.rc ?
old info:
please make sure that you have installed driver properly. adb won't work if you install Google driver as a single device driver, and if you install HTC driver as a single device driver, DiskDrive will freeze your phone (but adb works directly). a little more details: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6180261&postcount=986
our phone is "USB Composite Device", and windows has this driver included. you can try install it. after that, your PC will find new devices: one for adb (both Google and HTC's drivers will work), another for USB mass storage, and others don't have drivers (I will remove them if these two devices cause troubles) .
battery tips: you should make sure that services/apps like gps/maps could get data from internet properly. they may prevent the phone going to sleep when they think that the jobs are not done yet. and in some cases, they would forget to tell our phone "you can sleep now", so the phone would never sleep properly. if you encounter these problems, the only workaround is a reboot (as far as I know).
latest changes:
--> a new ERIS port based on latest dump*
--> fix: battery drains by BT
--> fix: no sound or freezes after using camera in footprint
--> some patches from google
--> modified: DSP driver, it looks more similar to HTC's driver now (testing)
--> a far more better superuser 2.03
info about previous versions
changes 0.36pre
market fix
rosie hacks for speed
changes 0.35pre
battery life fix
changes 0.34rc
--> speed improved with blue sun fix (if it isn't my imagination )
--> camera fix for some apps
--> libgps.so from another leak
--> modules update for OpenVPN
changes:
--> .32 kernel *
--> a new libcamera.so **
--> VGA(640x480) recording
--> rndis support (USB tethering) ***
--> default DiskDrive ****
--> others
* let us check if the sleep death which caused by sdcard operations can be fixed by the new kernel
** it was made for avoiding grayscale preview and memory leaks. it may contains bugs at current, please report if you encountered one.
*** default internet sharing won't work, I have tried it with wired tether 1.2 under linux, but I don't know how to use it under windows (my windows: Windows 7 64bit)
**** it works like a charm under linux. for windows, you may have some trouble with drivers, please read the texts under "working" section.
the eris ROM contains files from the RiverRunner(or others?)'s dump, maps from brut, superuser built from ChiansDD's sources.
Q & A:
Q: what about your others work, like bug fixes of your aosp build, your kernel, the opensource progress of your kernel?
A: i have few time these days, no big steps on ROM development.
for the aosp ROM, i build some version and test them myself, but none of them are better than my last one, since I don't have time to tweak them. but if I found a big improve in the future, I will release a new one.
for the sources of kernel, i lost some key files of my modification of kernel .29, and I was working on kernel 2.6.32 when I had some little time these days. i think that i won't work on the .29 kernel again if I don't encounter big problems on .32.
so there is no sources I can post at current. and for .29 kernel, there isn't any changes after it was released. I use the same binary file in all my ROM too as you.
Q: why .32 (next release)?
A: I hope that .32 could fix most kernel and driver bugs in previous releases. if not, .32 will still be better than .29. btw, this ROM uses .29 (as same as previous) since .32 jobs are not done yet.
Q: will you update this SenseUI ROM ?
A: I think my friend ahmgsk will make a better one for you.
so when any other ROM that are good enough appear in next 2~3 days, I will stop to update. this one just shows what we could have.
my plan is, I will work on some programming and kernel jobs, and ahmgsk will make good ROMs.

it's some other problems with HTC things. I don't know this problem exactly, hope others can figure out how to fix it.
but thank you also.
thank you so much, i will however wait for a confirm if the root feature works before flashing this ROM.

can you report what works and not for you?
It's an official HTC Sense port so it should be very smooth. But there are things that are not going to work right away since it is from the Eris. So reports are appreciated.
Em ne chance that these very drivers will work with other stable eclair roms ?
Facebook+Contacts don't sync right away, I haven't figured out a way to sync it. Might have to do it manually?
I couldn't use Titanium back up, it said I didn't have root access. Installing busybox didn't work either.
No Live Wallpapers?
Pretty much it for me. I haven't tried the camera/camcorder
WiFi works though, which is great.
Thanks a lot for having a look inside whats coming :-D things not working besides those already mentioned: GPS + all Kinds of LED's besides sync works without Problems.

BT not working. can't even turn it on
LED light either? not sure on this one.
also as reported by sanpei, the preview after taking a picture appears weird but no biggie for me since the picture is correctly recorded
overall super, super, super smooth. got one freeze when flickering around settings and a sms comes in but other than that haven't got any issue in the past ... 5 hrs.
edit1: LED not lighting up even when charging.
edit2: forgot to mention that there's no Mount USB option when plugged.
Thanks for the quick work getting a 32A port of the Eris 2.1 dump.
Some noted bugs:
1.) 3G connection does NOT work for me. It shows the 3G icon but will act as if no connection is available. WiFi works, however.
2.) LED sensors not working (as said earlier)
3.) Screen issue when taking pictures with HTC Camera (also noted)
4.) When first starting up phone on first boot, when I reach HTC Setup Wizard I get a force close on android.process.media. Doesn't seem to affect anything though.
EDIT: for Issue 4, my 3G connection issue was fixed when I flashed HeroDroid's WiFi/LED Sensor fix from his Hero port (no, LED lights still don't work).
well done! i hope to see the screenshot pics
it is based off the eris dump. u can find screenshots in the eris forum, there's a lot of them and a video too
WOW you guys are fast. i smoked a spliff and came back..i see its here already
thanks im gonna try it right now..be back with some feedback
For a quick port, this is really quite good Sanpei. Now it's got me 100x more excited for what wonders ahmgsk will be able to cook up real soon..

DISCONTINUED - [ROM][10.jun.2011] Folio3x v0.3a for Folio100 (Honeycomb 3.0)

The adaption of the released VegaComb / honeycomb 3.0 for our tegra2 brothers (advent vega and Adam) and is getting to a state where its usable and the latest release for Vega is working quite well on Folio100 as well. with modifications of course...
What is Honeycomb 3.0?
Its the operating system upgrade that Toshiba will never delivet to our folio100, since its no longer supported by toshiba.. But the community gives you what the company did not! At least to a point where its possible within reasonable effort.. as not all source is available for rewriting drivers.
Credits for the intensive work done on this honeycomb 3.0 , is primarily done by NotionInk Adam and Advent Vega
developers , which are: MrGuy , newbe5 , corvus , HomerSp
I have just made the required changes to make it run on our Folio100.
Download Folio3x v0.3a here
Wipe should not be required for existing 0.1 - 0.3 users. if nothing seems unstable.
but NEW USERS always do a factory reset, or even "fastboot -w" to fix possible apps problems.
v0.3a
- rebuild from 0.2 and adding changes from 0.3.
- fixed 3G usb dongle problem
- usb share to pc fix fix
- apns conf now ok, apn location should be updated automatically.
- core.android FC fix
- dalvikcache update
- compatibility mode disabled by default (FolioWidget settings is fullscreen now)
- FakeGPS included (enable mock locations in Settings ->development) , so you use compass apps
our tablet has no real GPS, but the device think so but does not find it and it crash apps requesting gps.
- Sensors working.. (Thanks to newbe5 for the help)
- Included the new graphics drivers (quadrant= 2D=130/3D=820)
- adhoc support (use folio hc widget to enable, reboot after enabling)
- PolarisOffice fix
- included a fixed FolioWidget, for disabling folio100 softbuttons.
to use foliowidget:
- add widget to desktop.
- click widget once.
- in menu enable Softbuttons once, to disable the softbuttons below the power led (normally)
PATCHES
install patches below like you would install a full rom in recovery (Not ClockWorkMod), except this zip needs renaming directly to update.zip .
do NOT unpack it first.
any version: Download sensor patch attached to this post, if you want to continue with earlier version and not upgrade.. this does not require a wipe at all, its one single file added to your system.
0.3a : Download bootanimation and copy to /system/media folder read more here , this will fix the "remember language and timezone issue"
0.3a : Download bootanimation as patch, for those not able to copy file, here
0.3a : Download rollback to regular kernel here
0.3a : Download Overclockable kernel upto 1.5Ghz here
OC Kernel might not enable 3G automatically so go into mobile network and disable/enable if it happens.
ALWAYS READ ME BEFORE POSTING Questions - FAQ and Status on folio100 edition of VegaComb.
- Flash works with Opera 11.10 release.
-
- Before you report any issues, you might check that other ports of this Honeycomb (which all pre-3.0 tablets use) already confirms not fixed.
Do check VegaComb xda thread
-
- SOD problem: Others have used the OC kernel, and set the minimum speed to 456, and it solved the problem. But yes, you need the OC kernel + CPU Master as example.
-
- If you got problems running Any Angry birds game or other applications as example, you might need to use "fastboot -w " to erase userdata & cache . To enter fastboot mode, at bootup press 3 times power and then VOL+ .
-
- USB PORT: stick & 3G dongle must be inserted at bootup if needed. Kernel do not at this point automatically register usb port changes if inserted after boot is complete.
-
- At setup wizard, wifi scanning, reboot once, and setup wizard finds the networks at next boot
-
- Apps fail to start if running from sdcard.
-
- Bluetooth send/receive files is not working
-
- Volume control in Settings, still crash when tried opened..
-
- FakeGPS app is needed to start, if you open compass apps, that also read GPS information.
-
- language and timezone in full image, needs to have a bootanimation, then it remember language and timezone after reboot. See the PATCHES for the bootanimation.zip (copy zip manually to /system/media )
-
- MUSIC: music must be copied to /sdcard/music , and player finds it.
-
- Youtube - not all videos can be played, due to incompatibiliy issue with driver and codecs used. (but many do work)
I will do what is possible to bring it to a better state, but i cannot promise anything and maybe patches from vega/adam might actually work on our folio100 depending on what they change. (if its a patch)
You're the BEST!!!

1. it works fine with old apps.. i already tested angrybirds, and astro filemanager, i would say 100% supported.
2. im using our 1.3 based kernel, so it has 3G usb dongle support, but whether 3x will utilize it i have no focus on for now.. lets first get it out and get more people involved, then lets see what it brings.
Happy Face!
I friggin' knew it!!! I finally can take the Folio back, out of the drawer where I locked it months ago PartyTime!
BTW: I've got no problem at all with media scanner not working. It should be considered a FEATURE, not a cons!!! At least it's not gonna randomly delete ALL of my media files over and over again!
EDIT: if there's anyone wishing to follow the original thread for the ADAM, here we go: http://tabletroms.com/forums/showthread.php?356-Honeycomb-on-the-Adam-(Updated)
Hi!
Of course first the stabil working is the most important
Very nice to see this!
I really would love to try even an early version of honeycomb on my folio...
To bad I use my folio a lot latley (I have some server issues, and I don't want to carry my laptop everywhere I go)... But if I know that apps will work correctly (even if slow, but pretty much usable) I will give it a shot....
Please, post rom!!!
Please dont begg!!!
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
My second Folio is now in standby for testing........
Thank you for your hard work Dexter.
Excellent News!
These are excellent news!
I knew you guys could do it!
Thanks for the hard working of everyone involved.
Cant wait to test.
That's great news!! Then i can take the dust of my Folio
Great work Dexter!!
really thanks

Hi Dexter,
Thank you so much for your really good work. After FolioMod now a good working Honeycomb for Folio? -> Amazing!
So, don't missunderstand me, but I really love you for that!
Thank you
You Dexter and Developers who are working on that are GODs...
We hope rom tonight if its possible... else, we can wait for the great work.
Thank you and thanks to honeycomb developer team !
thanks thanks thanks
thats better than christmas.
thank you for your hard work
i hope it goes on.
Just a quick note.. I do hope it is noted what majors are wrong with this one..
i will look into this, but the first "public" will have more or less what i have written as problems..
Our kernel might need to revising, or DerArtem's 2.6.36.3 kernel might help to solve some issues as well..
So the rom is really a "preview" and not for daily use yet...
Lastly, this rom is of course open to anyone who can help fixing the problems, and we can make an even better rom, so if you got any kind of experience with it, help us make this rom better.
I think the easy one is, for now, to get powerkey fixed. (volume buttons work).

All credits goes to him!!
Thanks!

VegaICS-Beta1.exe
VegaICS Beta1 MD5
=================
1a5ed3243f147c3d25c0caa1a7568862 - VegaICS-Beta1.exe
Synopsis
========
This is the first Beta build of ICS for the vega and other tabs like it.
This should now be feature complete and deserving of an upgrade from Alpha status.
This is very stable and nice to work in from my point of view, nothing i can see
as major that will prevent you having a nice experience.
Work is based on Android 4.0.3
Strangeness
===========
Wifi should work fine now, a new library and framework has been created
to enable Wifi to work properly .. However .. Wifi is slow to resume from
sleep.. you may have to toggle Wifi off/on to have it resume .. If you wait
it returns no problems.. its just a bit slow.
Not working
===========
Advanced Power menu on shutdown has some options that dont work
Reboot to recovery
Reboot to bootloader
Aeroplane mode (does not come out of it as i seen)
Ill get to fixing / removing these at a later date
Installing
==========
This Beta build is in NVflash format only, i could not be bothered yet
to create a CWM update file yet as its still to early for me to care
for that.. Just execute this in the normal fashion from windows.
Or extract it and do from linux for all you penguin lovers out there..
Recommendations

Most of the large dirs in /system are now squashfs files, this is to save on space.
You need to use squashfs with gzip support if you are to play with them. Kernel must
also have squashfs support included.
The dir that contains WiFi firmware and kernel module has been relocated to /system/etc/misc/
this is to ensure of the minimum file size of any update we make to the kernel and provide to you.. It makes not difference as its linked back to its proper place.
tun.ko for vpn can be found in /system/etc/misc/ too, linked back to the proper place.
For all other libs you need to add, add them to /system/vendor/lib, they will be picked up.
Enjoy !!! Feedback welcome !!!

YouTube videos would be much apprieciated
Please keep going.
Awesome, been waiting on this, keep it up, thank you XD

For "alpha 1" a lot of stuff works! I imagine if we get as much work done as was on vegacomb this will turn out even better (we have the source, and LOTS of people working on ICS for all sorts of devices) honeycomb was a bit specialist, but every device is getting an ICS port, even my hero, knowledge can be shared!
Alpha2!!!!!!

alpha 2 works amazingly well, i cant believe its alpha still, its more than good enough to be a beta build now. next build will be worth jumping on for many users and help with bug fixing and reporting. already alpha 2 is quicker than viewcomb.

Yeah were working on that. Not an easy fix :-( apparently there is an app that workaround it.. Screenlock or similar from mktplace.
Softlocker free seems to work well, disables sleep so you don't have to reboot every time the screen goes off.

Hmm... have same wake from sleep problems on stock, but it's rare.
Will give these apps a try!

[ROM][14-02-13][Flinny] Andromadus - AOSP4.2.2[9]

Andromadus - Test Builds
To start with here you will find test versions of ROMs built by me from the Andromadus github repo http://github.com/Andromadus, think of them along the same concept as nightly builds just not every night These are development ROM's, if you want to run bleeding edge development ROM's and at least know how to use adb and logcat then you might find something of interest here. If you require something that works 100% of the time all of the time then this might not be for you. That said you can always give it a try and if it doesn't work restore your previous nandroid backup!
What IS Andromadus?
Initially it was a group of people who got together to make ICS work on the HTC Desire Z because nobody else seemed to want to support devices with physical hardware keyboards/trackpads. Whilst the idea stays the same It has grown slightly to support some other hardware and some of the work we have done is now used in many other devices. Andromadus builds of CM10 or CM10.1 are basically CM sources with a few additional tweaks or additions to support our phones.
1. New versions will be added as and when I feel there are enough changes to warrant one, don’t ask when the next version is coming.
2. If we decide to release a "Stable" version of these roms they will be published in another Andromadus thread.
Direct all your queries with release versions to that thread and in the same vain do not discuss these releases anywhere but here.
3. I will do as best I can to answer questions but if you don't get an answer from me I'm sure somebody else will be along to help. Help each other and I have more time to spend fixing things!
4. Don't ask for what's changed since the previous version, have a look at the recent submits on the Andromadus github if you want to know or wait for the mini changelogs when I post a new release.
5. If there is something in particular to test it'll be mentioned!
6. As always if you didn't wipe between installations then at least verify that the problem exists on a clean install before posting here. Nandroid/superwipe/install/check at the end of the day you can always restore your nandroid if the problem is reproducible on a clean installation. If you can't be bothered to try this then I really can't be bothered to try to help you :>
7. All that said ensure you make a nandroid/backup before hand. I take no responsibility for what you do to your phone with these ROM.
8. Whilst I can't stop you I would rather these builds were not used as a base for any ROM/MOD/ETC. The source is all available if you want to do your own builds with which you can do whatever you like.
9. Tell us what works/what's worse/what's better but don't ***** when something breaks or isn't fixed yet, report it and move on.
10. Sometimes people forget that we do this for fun, for ourselves, and sometimes your super important issue is way down on our personal list of things to be fixed.
If you ignore any of the above you will in turn be ignored.
Now that's all out of the way as always have fun
As usual you need to flash the ROM then GAPPS.
Checkout http://andromadus.flinny.org for links/files/changelog's
This a team/community effort, I'll not list everyone who has helped along the way here that list is in the beta thread but I will say thanks to all of them again and obviously anyone that has been missed.

Build 5 was pretty stable, interested to see what has changed.
Tapatalked from Desire S running Andromadus
Build 5 was first build i used of AOSP 4.2 and it was fantatic experience, i never expected 4.2 to work so flawlessly on desire s so fast after release. And to be honest i did not see many bugs.
So i flashed build 6 and i was not disapointed, as you said you will release only stable and advanced releases and it was the point with 4.2 build6.
It would be nice to see official changelog, but i have noticed some nice little resize job done and few small glitches fixed.
I just found one thing i dont know how to fix. On android keyboard swype Lithuanian dictionary doesnt work. It is not in official list until i refresh it and then it pops up and i install it ( it worked well with build 5) and with build 6 it just doesnt work, and when i return to dictionary list there is no Lithuanian dictionary again .
Sensors are not working properly. When i make a call, screen turns off even when i don't block the sensors and it stays that way till the time call is going
Sorry man posted it in wrong thread. Its for andromadus cm 10.1 but do look into the matter as its really is irritating

That's just the way it is for 4.2, Google made it that way.
I thought I saw videos on YT with Google option on 4.2...

Yeah, that is for devices with On Screen buttons (Galaxy Nexus or Nexus 4/7/10). For those, the buttons are replaced with a dotted circle on the lockscreen, swiping up from which opens Google Now. Since AOSP doesn't officially support any device without hardware buttons, Google probably thought that it would be best to remove the option from the lockscreen, since swiping from the buttons opens that anyways
Trouble with bluetooth
Hi,
Thanks for your work on this rom!
I would like to report an issue with the Bluetooth functionality in this (and earlier) versions of this rom. In my circumstance it doesn't produce an error of crash.
For example. My phone is connected with a handsfree carkit (parrot) and when entering the car it recognizes the phone, asks for pin code and 'gets connected'. The problem is that the phone is not visible (as usual) on the handsfree device and the overall functionality does not work.
If I can be of any assistance in this I'll gladly be of help.
Thanks for your work!
Well Google switched the bluetooth plugin in 4.2 from bluez to bluedroid. It has been causing issues across devices, even Nexus 7 has issues. As Flinny said we can't do much unless someone upstream fixes it.

Flinny, almost everything works great.
Issues I found (AOSP build 6):
- laggy Camera animations (not very important, maybe it cannot be better),
- high Android OS battery usage (battery really lasts less),
- dictionaries other than English doesn't work with swype keyboard feature,
- some people wrote about bluetooth audio issues.
ROM is very smooth, hope it will be smooth in next builds. Great work!

camera animations do lag sometimes and some pictures you take tend to not show up in gallery after you have taken them.
As for battery all i can say is :highfive: battery is almost same in all 4.0/4.1/ 4.2 roms AND it is not at all bad here. I managed to get from full charge(100%) to 81% in 30 hours. I doubt many roms can do something like this in low-med usage.
Other then that this rom is my personal favorite until someone release 4.2 rom with better theme or perfomance.
The only thing i lack in here is conservative cpu governor and maybe little undervoltage.

Who can tell me how can I put GPS shortcut on quick setting ??I have everything I need except GPS shortcut...
Anyone else have an issue where Calendar just wont sync at all to any Google account? I don't have the options to sync calendars under any of the google accounts I've set up on the device. Tried reflashing, clearing app data etc.
Apart from that, great rom. Super nice battery life.

Clean or dirty install?
By dirty install remove Google accound(s) and then add your accound(s) again.
Worked for me!
For JB4.2 based roms (CM10.1 and AOSP4.2)
if you use a BT headset and are having problems with the mic give this a try.
download the following file.
http://andromadus.flinny.org/libbt-vendor.zip
extract it
Push it to your phone with adb - from the command line
adb remount
adb push libbt-vendor.so /system/vendor/lib
adb reboot
try it now.
Give it a try again and tell me if it all works... If all goes to plan new builds soon
Nick.

[ROM] [Port] [ADT-1] Android TV - TAS5713 [EXPERIMENTAL]

This is my first port so there may be some issues but would love for any help squashing bugs once it gets going. I've built this similarly to how Android TV was ported to the OUYA in this thread.
Similarly I am using the following for this port:
His ADT-1 System dump from this post.
His Android L port to the 2012 Nexus 7 from here.
and last but not least
His CM11 Amp Build from here.

Installation
* Install CM11 first as per here
* Boot into recovery, install downloaded zip, wipe all, reboot
* Wait
* Enjoy
I haven't had a chance to install it yet, so it's very alpha right now but feel free to contribute to the repo.
As always only you are responsible for your device.
Just to let you know: you're not alone in this. I'll try to get this working in my free time as well.
Very excited for this. will install soon and give feedback. I'm not a developer but very experienced and own a nexus Q myself.
Thanks a lot for working on this.
I just saw this thread. Thanks for working on this. What's working/not working so far?
Has anyone flashed this yet? I want to try, but I won't be back home until next week. Just curious if anyone has had any success?
I've installed this just now ... unfortunately it doesn't look like its going to boot.
Followed all instructions ... bootscreen is moving but no load after 20 mins.
EDIT:
It did not boot and I am not sure why at this time.

Hopefully there will be some kind of fix. Nexus Q is the dream AndroidTV.
Still no progress past the boot animation sadly - even with the updated build. Does it matter which audio output version of CM11 you have flashed first? (edit: tried several & no joy)
Also, I tried to take a logcat to see if I could indentify where it was getting stuck during the boot proccess but sadly it would not let me as it is showing as "offline" which suggests that Android has actually booted and is therefore requiring an RSA key but has not made it as far as displaying any kind of interface.
Thanks for starting to work on this anyway. I would love to get Android TV working on this device.
I think I may know what the issue is with this. For the Ouya, using a 5.0 build for the N7 2012 made sense because they both use the Tegra 3. However the Nexus Q does not use the Tegra 3, internally it is almost exactly the same as the Galaxy Nexus and they both use the OMAP 4460, therefore using the Nexus 7 2012 base will not work.
If you use the latest Android 5.0 port for the Galaxy Nexus instead then things should (hopefully) work just fine. The CM12 port for the Gnex also includes some updated GPU drivers from Texas Instruments which give better performance and provide better compatibility with newer Android versions.
I hope this may help you create a working Android TV port. I may try and build something myself during late January if I get the time but I can't make any promises. I've only just got the Nexus Q so I'm just starting to play around with it.
I am excited to see the progress on this. If this works, the possabilities are endless. Thank you every in advance for their support. If we can get this up and going, I am definalty donating to the cause for someones hard work (i wish i knew how to do this!)
To the developer of this rom if you want help just pm me. I'm thinking of starting a hangout group for porting Android TV.
I am very interested in this project and would be interested in helping out. I have never done anything like this, and I would like to see the nexus q live on.
If the full android-tv functionality is not possible, it would still be interesting to me to turn it into a 'cast ready speaker' for cast audio. (obviously I would need to hook my own speakers to it)
It has an amp, the ability to hook up to wifi, and volume control. In my mind, it would need no other functionality other than the ability to cast to it.
If there are any suggestions or guidance, please throw them out there. I will do my best to run with it.
Really hoping to see this go somewhere.
So is development for this dead?
Is there anyway to get development spurred back up for this? I would gladly donate some $$$ for someone to put some time into it.....If I new how too, I would help in development. This would be the ULTIMATE Android TV player!!!!!

The developers need to first get android L running on the device. The port is nearly impossible if your device doesn't have a fully function 5.0 port. The graphics HAL is the main thing I think will fail.
You all are welcome to give my AOSP 5.1 ROM a try, with the understanding it is in an extreme ALPHA state (first build, no 3rd party features implemented yet), and can tolerate restoring a backup if you encounter issues. I'm not sure how many still are actively using these on XDA, but the more testers the better so development can be expedited.

Awesome thank you for your work. Hopefully with that, this can take off!
