Tks in advance.

You must have an update.zip file, I use an update.zip file for samsung GT-S5770 with little bit modify. Copy that into your sd card, turn off your phone, go into recovery mode. Choose apply update from sdcard then choose update.zip file with volume down button, and press home key to choose it . wait until progress done, your phone will automatic restart. browse your phone menu, if there is a program "super user" then your samsung galaxy y was succesfuly rooted. (sorry if my English was so bad ) and please don't forget give a thank's

Is it worked on fw 2.3.5 or 2.3.4?

this is method I've do to "modify"
- download the "update.zip" file for galaxy GT-S5770 ( I'm downloaded from here htt*://w*w.mediafire.c*m/?gakbyi443e8p4gz)
- unzip those file then you can find two folders "system" and "META-INF"
- open folder META-INF >com>google>android, you'll find two files
- open file "updater-script" with notepad
- find this script
getprop("ro.product.device") == "GT-S5770" ||
getprop("ro.build.product") == "GT-S5770" ||
change with this one
getprop("ro.product.device") == "GT-S5360" ||
getprop("ro.build.product") == "GT-S5360" ||
- save the file
- compress all file again with "update.zip" name
- finish

Depends on format of patch. If its a cab, copy it on to your device and then click on it using your file explorer
If its a .exe you'll need to connect your device to your pc using usb cable and run it from your pc
A Little Help Please?

hi guys....is there something missing from the attached files or I do it wrongly? can't flash it using SPtools neither install it from SD card...any step by step guide on how to counter this matter? thanks in advance
1. turn off Phone and put out battery (usb cable is NOT plugged in)
2. start Flash SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1224.01 (flash_tool.exe) and choose "scatter loading"
3. choose from the folder "CWM_Bruno_N9330" the file called "MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt"
4. there must be only one checkbox marked (recovery) - if not mark it and check if the phad is correct. ( you have to choose the file called "recovery.img" from the folder "CWM_Bruno_N9330"
5. now put battery back in phone again, click on button "download" accept the warning with "Yes" and THAN connect phone with usb to pc!
6. if all goes right, you should see a green circle with the message "download ok"
7. unconnect USB, put out battery for some seconds and put it back again
8. now you should enter the recovery mode by holding power-button and volume up-button at the same time
any questions?

did you checked the path correct? Did you checked?
If you choose the rght file and the path is correct, maybe the file you have downloaded is corrupt?
So i would suggest...download again, and try again!
The CWM is Only CWM Recovery
Ya, The CWM Recovery is really work. But the CWM ROM is only CWM Recovery.
I need real ROM as like "CWM 10 Jelly Bean" for this Star N9330. Or may be CWM 9.

VIDEO
Hey i have just made a video and for people who have problem understanding the steps i have uploaded the video and it will help you clearly understand the steps.
:fingers-crossed:
2nd METHOD
If the above Method didn't work for you because some people are experiencing problems with the above method for the latest firmware so you can try this method which shall work.
Things Required
1)A Rooted Galaxy Core
2)CWM.zip File(In Second Post)
3)Uni-init APK(In Second Post)
4)A Mind
Let's Begin
1) Download and install BusyBox.
- Open and install BusyBox.
- Done!
2) Copy »Uni-init v1.0.apk« to internal memory and install Universal Init.d.
- Please see HERE the entire instructions.
3) Download and install Android Terminal Emulator.
- Open Terminal and type following commands:
PLEASE TYPE THE COMMANDS CAREFULLY OTHERWISE YOU CAN BRICK YOUR DEVICE
Code:
su
cd /storage/sdcard0
sh cwm.sh
- Done!
4) Switch off the Phone completely.
5) Press and hold »Volume up« and »Home«, then press »Power« while "Volume up" and "Home" are held.
- Use »Volume up« and »Volume down« to navigate items and »Power« to select.
3rd Method
First Download Flash_zip from the second post and unzip it in the ADB Folder so the folder where adb files are present you have to unzip there. Now Also Download the recovery.img file from the second post and again place it where the adb files are there. So,The 'flash_image' is within the attached zip file! Use the file within the zip file, NOT the zip file itself.Put the recovery image and the flash_image on the root of your C drive.
Let's Begin
(make sure you're in the command prompt and have changed directory to where the adb file is)
adb push c:\flash_image /sdcard/
adb push c:\recovery.img /sdcard/
adb shell
su
mount -o remount, rw /system
cp /sdcard/flash_image /system/bin
cd /system/bin
chmod 777 flash_image
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13

If u didn't exceed then you will need to Recover Your Stock Firmware. The only problem is your all data and apps would be deleted so i advise you to take a backup of your all apps by either Titanium Backup Or Through Apps Backup And Restore So that if even any thing goes wrong you will have backup of all your apps. I will make a video guide on how to recover STock Firmware.
 HIT THANKS IF I HAVE HELPED

Sir, I've done the procedure and successfully flash the cwm, but when I perform the recovery mode (Power up + Home + Power) a Samsung appears on the screen and displaying a warning logo at the bottom and it just keeps on vibrating
When I release the recovery keys, it'll continue to boot in normal mode. Any idea sir?

[Solved] SuperSU Binary update failed

To solve the SuperSu Binary update problem, follow these steps
1. Download the SuperSu zip file from HERE
2. Place the zip file on your SD or internal memory
3. Reboot into recovery mode by pressing Volume up + Power button, or if it doesn't work, you can search on Google on how to enter recovery mode for your device
4. After entering recovery mode, press volume down button to go down, press volume up to go up, and press power button to select.
5. Select "Install Zip", and select the Update-SuperSu.zip file, and it will install it.
6. After installing, reboot and SuperSU will be installed and it won't ask for binary update.
Please hit the :good: button if you found this helpful
Also you can ask me if this method didn't work, I'll help you
It doesn't work for HTC 526G + , What should be done now ?
