help getting stock unrooted rom - T-Mobile LG G2x

so ive searched and searched thread after thread and keep ending up in endless loops or hitting dead ends.. im sending in my g2x back to t-mo for warranty purposes and i dont have an original nandroid ive downloaded 2 different ones from the forums but it says md5 sums dont match... can anyone who is smarter than me please be of help thank you

Are you running the original stock rom rooted or did you install a custom rom?
If you just rooted your phone and are running the stock rom there should be an unroot file in the folder you downloaded to root your phone.
Why didn't you create a backup in the first place?

cus im stupid

Don't worry about md5 sums dude... for stock GB go to the dev section and get xboarder's stock rom (not the tweaked one):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179748
Once you flash the stock ROM, you can use the unroot zip in this thread to unroot:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1255214
Then flash stock recovery via the oneclick recovery flasher also in the dev section.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056847
That should do fine for sending into T-Mo... I've even heard stories of people sending phones back with CWM and T-Mo not complaining about it.

thank you very much

not trying to flood the q and a but need help with cwm odin...

so i have just about all the files i need 1. ep1w stock debloated.tar.md5 i have this i assume i flash this via pda but i was told i need to flash a kernal with this??? is this true... cause i just want to flash gummycharged 2.0 2. i have a file called recovery_charge.odin.md5.tar is this the correct cwm i have been hearing people having issues with the newest version whitch i had previously and could not fix don't want it to happen again. 3.can i just flash my rom of choce via odin like gummycharged odin version or humble 5.0 ?? plus the most recent cwm won't let me download anyway...
Yea I'd d/l the imeyosen 4 kernel.it is very fast and stable. Also has smartass and interactive x governors, which u have to enable in terminal emulator tho
i am not currently rooted but what do i do?? i flash the stock rom reboot and then flash a kernal via odin?? what about cwm?
ok looks like i already have this on my desktop but there is no way to flash this i do not have cwm yet that is my biggest hurdle i just want gummy charged... and people were having issues with the lastest cmw..
Well I can tell ya what I used when i got my charge. The thread in development I think is called root, kernel, cwm. That got me rooted with voodoo.then I just worked my way up from there. Upgraded my radio to ep3 made a huge difference for signal strength.then to ep4. Then I odin'd humble 4 which came with cwm. I then flashed emoysen 4 in cwm. Then flashed humble 5. I haven't had any problems with the cwm version he included.
But all that jumping around aside. I think you can Odin the radio straight to ep4 and Odin to humble 4 and after that do whatever you want in cwm.
so technically i can just flash the humble 5.0 odin file without being rooted and it will give me root and cwm haven't rooted yet or any rom for that matter i was just wanting to flash one rom and i am good to go such as gummy charge 2.0 odin or humble i don't plan on flashing a whole lot..
Well I can't remember if humble 5 has a kernel. I know it didn't when i d/l it. Unless the post has been updated. That's why i said go humble 4 first .it includes imoysen 3 .1 kernel I believe
And I'll say in my personal experience humble 5 is the most stable with best battery I've ran yet. And I've flashed every single rom there is for the charge. But it varies from phone to phone
so with no root i can just flash humble 4.0 and i am rooted with kernal and i am done??

I may need someone else to chime in cuz i didn't do it this way. But i think Odin with a rooted rom and kernel does it. I'm about 90 percent sure of that . Somebody? Anybody?
Also its worth it to upgrade ur radio to at ep4.
Just remember use the PDA button only in Odin
would like some assurance of a better possibility i guess technically i flash the stock ep1w debloated rom boot up, power off back to odin flash that cwm version you mentioned earlier in the thread do a backup in cwm and then flash via cwm.... correct.. don't mean to make things complicated..

That's it exactly. Also I'd recommend reading the how to at the top of development section called how to fix your phone. And download those files just in case you ever get stuck. It saved me once.
Edit ...actually you could Odin straight to humble 4

Just for the read, figured I'd show you how i rooted mine. Read the OP ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1092114
ok i flashed the stock edw1 i think its called super user installed now i want to install gummy but don't have cwm how do i go about flashing gummy 2.0
Should be able to Odin one of these. latest is 8/17 .make sure u Odin a gb radio too. They have better reception and less data drops. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1112804
I'd recommend humble. Its been alot more stable than gummy was for me. Tho gummy has a few more settings u can tweak thru tsm parts. Sometimes the juice isn't worth the squeeze
---------- Post added at 11:46 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:38 AM ----------
I suggest go ahead and flash this radio. Don't touch it while its flashing and put battery back in after its in download mode before you hit start on Odin as extra precaution. Hiccups during radio flashes are bout the only way to actually brick a phone ....or so I've read. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339214
Thanks guys flashed humble 4.0 working so much better than stock... Can't flash 5.0 requires a kernal rather not install cwm for previous precautions just wish I could find the newest gummy charged Odin for 2.0 or 2.1

Humble came with cwm on it didn't it. D/l quickboot. It a free app, make it easy to boot into recovery. Just wipe cache and dalvic and flash imoseyon 4 then put humble 5 on it. Better to do it now before you get everything see up the way u want it
I don't think gummy 2 comes in Odin format

please help with rooted vibrant!!!

hey guys i really need help, i have a samsung vibrant on 2.2 froyo i rooted it with super user and i downloadeed clockwork. I followed all directions loaded the recovery, downloaded Bionix next gen but when i go to recovery it only goes to android recovery. I cant upload any zip file or any roms
try using odin method ......that might solve your problem.....
---------- Post added at 11:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:03 PM ----------
it is the simplest way to restore stock ...
Its that my phone wont flash the clockwork recovery. I keep getting an error saying whole file signature could not be verified. Also I have the premium cwm n I havent been able to use it at all. I download the rom and recovery but cannot flash it. Anyone have the same problem please help
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Try flashing clockwork mod recovery again. Used to do this on my Vibrant as well.
EDIT: Just saw your post above... never seen that error. Can't help but go into the Vibrant sub section and you're sure to get help there.
I had issues flashing CWM to a motorola back a few years ago, had to revert to stock and re-root to resolve. Recently flash to Samsung galaxy nexus. Only would go into clockwork mod the first time rebooting after each flash till I deleted a file in the system folder. (/system/recovery-from-boot.p file) Seemed that file was causing the error no issue since. Were you ever able to boot to CWM?
Look for the AIO Vibrant Toolbox.
It has everything you need and will help you out tremendously.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954509
When I first rooted I had a similar problem. Clockwork just kept reverting to stock. I re-downloaded the flashable zip, reflashed, and rebooted to recovery until CWM came up. Then I installed Bionix. It's stuck since then. Well, until I ODINed the GB bootloader on.
Keep trying good luck
I am completely stuck. My rom manager wont boot into recovery and I keep getting the same error when I click reinstall packages.

Having serious problems installing a ROM

I have a samsung infuse on at&t. I want to install CM7. Here's what has happened so far:
- I copied the modified 3e recovery file into /system/bin
- I flashed CWM and rebooted.
- I got a bricked phone.
- I used GTG's unbricker to unbrick, eventually getting it to work.
- I ended up with a different android installation than I had previously. The market is weird, it's locked so I can't install APKs... I rooted and installed rom manager using adb but rom manager force closes immediately.
All I want to do is just install the CM7. I don't care if I keep my data, I don't care if I can recover to my old rom (that's already out the window.) I just want to get rid of this touchwiz garbage and get gingerbread.

i see your having a serious problem posting in the correct section lol
What i did before to get it working is...
Unbrick with gtx unbrick / or unbrick to stock with root+ mod e3 recovery with Odin, phone restart into red recovery, flash cm7, reboot into recovery (it should be blue this time), reflash cm7, then Reboot system.
That works out for me in the past. Good luck and always do a nandroid backup.

[Q] i have a serious issue. bricked?

i recently flashed the stock rom for my phone, which didn't work too well for some reason. SO i went an flashed domination ics.
through futzing around in terminal emulator, i've removed all apps in data/app, and i can't get into recovery to flash a different rom.
i've used superoneclick and done everything, it flashes a recovery, but after holding the buttons until the lg image turns blue.. it just locks.
the soft button lights eventually fade, and touching it turns them back on, but does nothing otherwise.
is this bricked? if so, can someone tell me how to fix it?
Use nvflash to push stock. Search development section. Alternatively you can use the cleanup batch and then flash a ROM.

crisis averted. I managed to get the phone to take a backup of the original software someone uploaded ,the v21y one.
It's now getting a copy of all my backed up apps so the person i'm giving it to can install what they want to play with.
secondary question, though.
Is there a way to get root rights, without flashing a whole rom? I'd rather leave it on the stock rom, and just have root for apps that need it (like titanium backup)

Here's a pretty thorough root method similar to if not the same as the one I used.
http://www.android.gs/root-galaxy-s-blaze-4g/
After you root you're gonna need a 4.3 recovery.
http://d-h.st/Osd
Thank KTempleton for that one.
And 4.3 Gapps
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip
And of course the 4.3 ROM of your choice
Boot into recovery and make a nandroid back up.
Flash CWM package you just downloaded.
Reboot system then reboot back into 4.3 recovery.
Do a full wipe. That's data reset, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik and format system (under mounts and storage)
Flash ROM then flash gapps.
If all steps are followed properly you will be running 4.3 in no time.
Make sure to read all instructions contained in the OP of the ROM you wish to download.
Please do not hold me responsible if anything goes wrong
Happy flashing.

You forgot you need a custom recovery to flash KTs 4.3 recovery. or it must be pulled from the zip and manually flashed.
To make it easy, either follow Skywalker's root thread or go to the Blaze bible thread an use KOnane's GB Odin root thread at the top. After you have root, use Rom manager to flash the latest cwm, which will work with 4.3. Then go ahead with the Sky's above and backup, wipes and flashing your favorite rom.

Odin restock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1591601
But there is a new way to restock right back to then latest ICS. It is in the last few pages of the restock thread. Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44626072&postcount=117
Posted these instructions on quite a few threads but here you go...
So first register at www.sammobile.com, then search SGH-T769 under firmware and download the August 2012 ICS or The Feb 2013 ICS Firmware, wait for the download to finish (took me 30 minutes) then extract which ever firmware zip you downloaded then using Odin click on PDA and select the .md5 file which is located in the extracted ICS Firmware Folder that you've downloaded from sammobile.com
Download the PIT file here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1919228
Click on PIT in Odin and then select the one downloaded from the link above
then make sure re-partition isn't checked and start the flashing process after it is done flashing and reboots you'll have stock ics to root it simply follow the instructions over at the root ics stock thread found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1919228
This will flash a custom recovery and once the recovery is flashed using Odin reboot into recovery and flash the superuser.zip then you'll have Rooted Stock ICS Firmware
*BOOT LOOP MIGHT OCCUR*
To fix boot looping after flashing stock ICS just boot into stock recovery and wipe data and cache then reboot or on custom recover wipe cache and dalvik cache reboot and you're good to go.
If I helped you in anyway don't be afraid to hit thanks!

Tommyboy is right. Though I will say as they are far from perfect they are stable enough to be daily drivers. I've been running 4.3 for a while now, and the biggest, or most annoying issue I have faced is wake screen delay. I can't stand it lol. Also speakerphone is a big one for some people. But yea, I've had no serious issues with any 4.3 rom. Except for that one time when I started using philz touch and it just wasn't doing it for me...
