Please use this way to Recovery Mode: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17395735&postcount=19 thanks to RiverSource
The old way
Do not use it.
For easy reboot into Recovery Mode.
I've made Easy Reboot Recovery.zip. It contains adb.exe, 2 dl from Adroid SDK, and RebootRecovery.bat.
To reboot into Recovery Mode make sure that drivers for phone are installed.
Enable USB Debugging (Phone Setting > Applications >Development > USB Debugging should be checked)
Connect your phone to PC with USB cable and run RebootRecovery.bat
The phone will reboot into Recovery mode.
When you see white box with an arrow and droid, Press Menu button to open Recovery menu.

Has anyone tried this?
Sry for not trusting u =P
I'd try out by myself but i dont own the i9001.
My girlfriend does and she is quite anxious about rooting a phone and those hidden menus blablah...
So if i root her phone and anything is not workin as ill explain, im doomed

Root from recovery menu
I just tried this method with the I9001XXKP4 ROM and it worked fine.
SuperUser was installed, and I'm now restoring my apps+settings with Titanium.
It was actually an easy root method, just don't forget to plug in your USB cable before you press [VolUp + Home + Power]
Kudos + thanks for KeksKlip !

Thank you very much indeed !

Hi.
I tried this > copied the root file to my micro-sd card, then turn off the phone and power up again with volup+home+pwr and my phone goes into RAM DUMP MODE because of a forced upload?
After removing the battery phone restarts as normal. What to do to root?

You must turn on mass storage than after that you need to go to settings -> aplication -> dev. settings and turn on debug. usb.

I can enter the Recover Mode this way:
- Switch phone off
- Press Vol+ and Power Button
- as soon as the "SAMSUNG" appears release both buttons
- as soon as the "Android out of the Box" appears, press the Menu button.
Remark: Don't press the Home Button during power on! Otherwise you will enter the RAM Dump mode.

[GUIDE] [TOOL] Rooting the official ICS ROM

I've tried many different ways and many have failed me, so I'm documenting one way which worked for me.
You will need the Acura recovery
http://www.mediafire.com/?5io5b2r98nt28bb
and gazhead's SU zip
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1352095&d=1348524309
Preparation
Extract the recovery package
Step 1: Drivers
Make sure you have the OMAP 4430 drivers installed.
If you do, skip this step
Note: On windows 8, you will need to have rebooted your computer into a mode which lets you install unsigned drivers. Do a Google search to find out how.
To install the omap drivers:
Turn off the phone
Remove the battery
Open Windows' device manager
Connect the phone to the PC.
When OMAP4430 appears in your list of devices, double-click on it and select "update driver software"
When asked, pick the usb_drv_windows folder extracted from the recovery package and go through with the installation
When the installation has completed, you should have a new category called "Ti Boards" with the OMAP4430 USB device under it.
Step 2: Installing recovery
Disconnect the phone
Go to the recovery folder and launch "Instalar Recovery ICS Europeo.bat"
The script will be waiting for the phone to be connected.
Press "vol up"
Connect your phone, without any battery
As soon as the script does something, release the button and insert the battery
As soon as the script stops, disconnect the USB cable.
When you see the silver LG logo, connect the USB cable again
The script should complete its task soon after that.
Note: If the script is waiting for something, pay attention to your list of devices, you may have a LG COSMO device which has no drivers. If this is the case, install the OMAP4430 drivers and start the script again.
Step 3: Rooting
Put gazhead's file on your SD card
Turn off phone
Press "vol down" + 3D button + power to boot into recovery
Install the zip file from your SD card
Reboot
That's it. Help me improve this post by reporting any errors you see and I hope this will save people some time

Space for Apps
Good evening, the home version of SU760 had 2GB of space for installing applications ... Already the European version of the P920, only has 1GB of internal memory dedicated space .... Is there a way to change this? Well I tried to restore the apps that I had, and gave memory overflow ...
Thanks

Lenovo K6 VIBE No OS Installed, Only TWRP but can't find stock ROM

Hello guys I hope you had a good day.
I recently tried to root my device but it didn't work and got into a loop boot. Later I wiped /system and /cache and some other important parts [Because of my lack of experience with phones] , Now the phone is OS-Less. I tried to search for a Stock ROM for 3 days but couldn't. Now I just have TWRP. What should I do? I just want anything that works right now, no specific needs.
EDIT: I also have Fastboot installed as well.
Thanks for helping me.
That's why you always do a backup before doing such dangerous things, bre. You should be ok by following @firemax13 "restore to factory state" guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/rooting-roms/lenovo-vibe-k6-note-guide-rooting-t3602763 (of course you should jump the unroot part and start at "turn the phone to download mode".
