Case fit compatibility? - HTC Sensation

Hi All
Will the Mobi hard rubber plastic case (https://shop.htcpedia.com/htc-sensation-hard-snap-on-case.html) fit inside the HTC Horizontal Leather Pouch (https://shop.htcpedia.com/htc-messenger-side-case-with-belt-clip.html)

I have the red mobi case which I bought from another site and love the fit and finish of it. The case does not add a lot of bulk but trying it with the case, I would incline to say no because most of HTC cases are very form fitting. However, in one of the reviews, it said that the case mate case fits it. All I can say is to just try it out. Post pics if you do get them.

The HTC case is also not specifically made for the Sensation. It fits the Evo as well which I think is a bit bigger?

Evo
122 x 66 x 13 mm
Sensation
126.1 x 65.4 x 11.3 mm
According to that, the Sensation is longer but thinner and just as wide.

Guess we'll hope for the best

I had a problem finding a case to fit my Sensation after installing the Case Mate Tough case. I finally found a pouch made by Nite Ize that fit.

Hard shell - HTC or other ?

Traditionally I always buy case-mate "barely there" hard shells as they are excellent. but they are also expensive (£14.99):
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Case-Mate-B...3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1308068301&sr=8-3
This is also nice looking one and very cheap:

I am intrigued by the new HTC HC C620, described as a hard-shell with "tactical" back:
http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=218026&sbadd=218026
Anyone got the HTC HC C620 and can comment ?
Or has other hard shell and has a mini-review ?
many thanks
I've ordered the ebay one on your list, Looks good for the price. It should get here the next couple of days. I'll post a review and photo then.
just received this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360372931979 fits the phone very nice and doesn't add too much bulk at all, only thing I have noticed is it dose not have the 2 tiny pin holes that are located near the bottom of the phone
This one on Amazon looks similar and is even cheaper:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/SENSATION-R...FR7Y/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1308142464&sr=8-3
I went with the Body Glove case here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1PBHB5GGYWDT5SZNM56E
I've noticed a lot of the "official cases" are covering some of the holes on the back towards the bottom. The case-mate has those bottom holes covered as well....
Any update on the holes? Why are they covered?
the case-mate barely there case is exactly what i'm looking for. will it fit a US TMO Sensation 4G, though? i only see it offered on amazon.co.uk and not on amazon.com...

I use one of the PolarMK cases on my DHD. Great little case and fits well.
Dave
that frosted red one IS quite nice. is my TMO Sensation 4G the same dimensions as the one you guys have overseas? or would that case not fit mine because of slightly different height or width?

I have two cases, one a universal leather case that was 10bux and the other "official" case by body glove that you can get from tmo stores, but I got mine from wirelessground.com for 18bux shipped.

I have on order from Expansys the dock (30 some odd days left to ship lol) and the HTC HC 620 on order which will get to me within 2 weeks. I'll post back pics and my first takes on them when I get them.

I had this case for couple of days now, the fit is very nice and as you can see from the picture all the holes on the back are exposed. Also I like the added width to the phone as I found the 16:9 ratio a bit top heavy when using it one handed.
The case have rubberized feel, not so good feel as the Sensation's plastic back, more like the feel of plastic dashboard on average car or the Galaxy SII.
I think I'll keep the phone skinless as I prefer the premium fell of the Sensation and put it on for out door trips.
Could you please post some pictures of that frosted case? It looks cool with the Sensation design. I'm looking either at that, or the barely there, or this one with some acetone cleaning or something:
//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160603692342&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
It looks like it fits the camera area better than the frosted so I'm curious. Not good if it obstructs the flash.
lol I love in the Barely There pic from Amazon that they're showing it with an engineering sample (the upper left E###### code). lol
here's another hard back case which seems to have all the cut outs for the holes on the back of the sensation
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Red-Hard-Back..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item3368b7492c
What are the chances it will fit in a dock with a hard shell on? Anyone tried already?

Correct me if I'm wrong...but there is a reason why those small holes are on the back of the Sensation.
This Case Mate totally covers up both mic holes....correct? Looks like it from the pics.... That's not good imo.
I called HTC a few days ago and asked about the other holes. From the horses mouth...they said that ideally ALL of the micro holes should be uncovered. Obviously the top and bottom mic holes (also used for stereo recording) and also the antenna rivet holes/air vent holes (straight from HTC support...for what it's worth).
The Body Glove case I got in the retail Tmo store is ok EXCEPT for the fact that it covers those "vent" holes.
Even the HTC branded cases leave those rivot/vent holes uncovered.
http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=218026&sbadd=218026
Thought I would relay that info... In the end...probably doesn't matter too much one way or the other

Leather flip case or pouch+hardcase ?

Anyone found a good one ?
With my old phones I used a case-mate barely there, or similar, and a pouch.
However the HTC sensation is too big with a hard back cover to fit in any of my pouches
Anyone found a good leather flip case which doesn't add much bulk ?
or a pouch large enought to hold the Sensation with a hard case ?
I am using the bodyglove/kickstand case without the kickstand. They enclose a tab to plug the hole if you don't want the clip kickstand. I personally do not like kickstand but can bear the case which adds a little bulk but still fits in the pouch pictured here.

Done an unboxing video for my krusell orbit case which I love. You can make your mind up what u think

This is the case I'm currently using. My wife found it @ best buy she originally bought it for her vibrant. I asked her for it since she now uses the my touch 4g & my sensation fits like a glove even with the body glove case on.

[Q] do cases of the s 9000 fit on sl 9003?

so i'm browsing the ebay for some good rigid and tough cases like case-mate and otterbox but the good ones are for the s 9000... the dimensions of the sl 9003 are123.7 x 64.2 x 10.6 mm and the s 9000s' 122.4 x 64.2 x 9.9 mm (only 1.3mm wider and 0.7 thicker). What do you think? will the cases of the galaxy 9000 will fit?

no it doesnt fit...please read the forum before posting questions..it has been answered before also..
Nope. i9000 is a little bit smaller than i9003.
No because SL have 10.6 mm and S just 9.9 mm
Depends of case type. Rigid ones won't 100%, soft could fit.
I bought a cheap "i9000" soft protective shell and it fits perfectly
it won't fit well mate
leather pouch
hey guys im looking for the original samsung genuine pouch.. any ideas?

thank you all for your time answering my question...i've tried putting a 9000 hard casemate housing which involved a soft and a hard case and the buttons wouldn't quite fit properly... you were right...

Has anybody tried the Mercury Slim Fit TPU Case for HTC ONE X (Fits AT&T)

I am looking to buy a case for my new white HTC One X and I don't want a translucent case.
It will be this or the Diztronic Black case.
What do you think?
I saw this case at amazon
Mercury Slim Fit TPU Case for HTC ONE X (Fits AT&T)
Thanks,
Take it from the king of cases- get the diztronic. It's the best TPU case I've ever bought and quite literally the only one I've ever actually liked. I think my case count is up to 22 now, and that's not including the few I've given away on this forum, and the Diztronic is my second favorite case. Considering the fact that I absolutely despise TPU cases, that says an awful lot.

Best Case/Holster Combos

I see tons of case threads but never a thread on holsters. I always find myself coming back to using a holster and so far the best (by far IMHO) is Seidio.
I would love to see a holster made for the Ringke SLIM Case or the Spigen Thin Fit. Anyone know of a great slim-fitting case/holster combo please post it here :fingers-crossed:
I have this holster/kickstand case combo for the S3 and am hoping to find something similar for the Note 4. Seidio Surface/Surface Holster looks pretty nice, but way pricier than what I have now. My main concern is I've read a couple of reviews saying that the metal kickstand blocks NFC.

Wow, so I see Seidio hasn't dropped their prices in the several years since I actually bought a case from them. Companies like them have huge balls to keep their prices this high in this day and age where people have more of a clue what phone cases should actually cost.
I'm shocked that companies like this are still in business for selling a piece of plastic for over $30. But someone must be buying them. :what:

Yeah, for that price I could get the ZeroLemon extended battery which comes with a case and holster!
Seidio is expensive but purchasing through Amazon or right now using their 25% off code to buy from their website helps out.
Good through Monday code is NOVEMBER25

I know I help keep them afloat! ...But like others have said, if you wait a month that $50 dollar combo can be had on Amazon for $25-$30
Thanks for bringing this topic up. I've been doing a little research on this myself as there are a couple cases currently available for our N4s that I like, but unfortunately most of them don't have holsters available. When I had my GS3, I used a Seidio case/holster combo and really liked their product, but I particularly liked the holster. The case I settled on for my N4 is the one produced by Caseology (see link below so you know which one I'm talking about), so the search began to find a Seidio holster that might fit it. I contacted both Caseology and Seidio to get dimensions for their respective cases. Below are the dimensions they sent (in inches):
Caseology: 6.19 (L) x 3.31 (W) x 0.44 (H)
Seidio Dilex: 6.23 (L) x 3.35 (W) x 0.57 (H)
Seidio Surface: 6.15 (L) x 3.23 (W) x 0.52 (H)
Seidio Capsa: 6.20 (L) x 3.40 (W) x 0.60 (H)
I decided on the holster that can be purchased with the Dilex case based on the dimensions. It arrived today and I'm very happy to find that it works very well with the Caseology case! The fit is snug, but certainly not overly so and the spring clip of the holster closes on the case and keeps it quite secure. I'll have to see how things go over the next few days to get some practical use out of each, but I don't anticipate being disappointed in the case, holster, or how they work together.
http://www.amazon.com/Caseology-Sam...d=1417812636&sr=8-3&keywords=caseology+note+4
Edit: Just noticed that Caseology hasn't figured out that Verizon is special and has to have their bottom left mic hole in a different location than the other carriers. A Dremel with a very small diamond sanding bit fixed it quite nicely. It looks like it came that way.

Yea, I've done the same thing in the past, use Seidio holster with Ringke case. I had to file the inside of the spring clip to get it the correct shape, but other than that it worked good. I just can't figure out why no other companies fab a good holster!

I won't be able to tonight, but will try to get some pics posted tomorrow night. I've been carting around my N4 in the Caseology case using the Seidio Dilex holster for three days and it's work very well so far. It's bit of a snug fit at the base of the holster, but not overly so. Actually, I like the fact that it's held in there a little on the tight side. It keeps from wiggling around.
If the dimensions of the Ringke case you're looking to get is anything close to the Dilex or the Caseology cases... you should be good with the Dilex holster.

According to the site, it adds 1.5mm thickness. Not sure if that's all the way around or not.
