Best price for a Sensation w/o Walmart store? - HTC Sensation

No Walmart store around me.
Can you get the Walmart deal online?
Any other deals to be had?

Picked up mine at Costco on Sunday for $170. If its goes on sale in 30 days I'll get the sale price.

Damn, $250 for upgrades, and that's without a $50 rebate available.

I was at Walmart today & they also wanted $250 to upgrade...I passed. Plus I'm not big on 2yr contracts...

I'd wait until it goes on sale shortly, I'm sure crazy deals will pop up around that time. I got mine from wal-mart online @ $148 but I had an upgrade coming. Nice to see you thinking about getting one.

Off T-Mobile's twitter...
Planning to purchase the HTC Sensation 4G online? Keep an eye on T-Mobile's Twitter acct. for a $50 off promotional code Wed. morning.
http://twitter.com/TMobile/status/80907542892519424

The Walmart site says the purchase must be made by the 16th now. Backordered where I live.

The Costco price was a new contract.

i want to buy it without contract, because i am from Bulgaria
where is the best(cheapest) place to do that?

It's $179.00 on amazon wireless
amazon wireless is selling it for $179.00 and you don't need a mail in rebate for that price. This price is for upgrades and new plans. Just thought I would share that. I personally hate mail in rebates. Oh, and also free two day shipping and no sales tax. So yeah.

Amazon is listing it as back ordered. FYI...you will pay an ETF of $150 with Amazon if you cancel your account within 180 days. That's on top of T-Mobile's $200.

That shouldn't matter unless someone doesn't want to stick with their plan. I've been with t-mo forever and am not leaving until ATT devours up my contract. Sucks that's they're sold out, but it gives me time to sell my other phones so that I can buy it.

A few questions:
Is this available to upgrades as well? (People who have recently completed a 2-year contract.)
Can you keep a grandfathered plan (myFaves) or does it make you sign up for one of the new standardized plans?
Can you bundle it with the $120 Father's day special?

HOLY SH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They charge you FULL TAX for the FULL PRICE of the phone ($550)??
PLUS an $18 "upgrade" fee?!
PLUS shipping?! (UPS Ground $5.99 or 3-day UPS Express $19.99)
Wow!
Is there any reason why you would buy through T-Mobile rather than Amazon or Wirefly????
All these extra costs just completely wipe out the savings from that $50 coupon. What the heck??

The no-commitment price of the phone will be.... $450, (better than the speculated $500)
i can confirm this as, i am buy the phone no-contract and i personally read through all the literature that radio-shack hands out to their employees about the phone and it's pre-order (im not a radio shack employee, it was just on the counter as the guy helping me had no clue how to pre-order at the no-commitment price)
so radio shack here i come on sunday!!
p.s. as everyone knows, radioshack is offering a $30 accesory credit when you pre-order the phone, which at their prices basically means a free case

Tonight someone is reporting that $399.99 is the price:
http://androidforums.com/htc-inspire-4g/275826-399-99-confirmed.html
Yep, $399.99 at at&t COR. BestBuy and Big Box stores usually sell it for a lot more off contract than COR does.
Ok thanks for the replies guys. Hopefully it is 450.

Yea we do price match any local store with the device in stock...however the managers might have to look twice about taking a whole $200 off.
A friend of mine works at an ATT store. Its $479.99 off contract according to him
just talked to one of my best buys and they said that all I would need is an online document or printout of atts website with the non-commitment price and they will match it.

Order now at verizonwireless.com $229 one year!!

I cleared my cookies in IE and it didn't show the prices I mentioned before unless you go to My Verizon home and click Upgrade phone under my Device.
I ordered it 1 year for $229
They have 2 year for $200

I did. Chose to upgrade my phone, $249.99 2yr. Think I'll just hit up the local store instead.
I got the same deal, I was on the phone with a VZW rep and she said she didn't know why I got the price I did.... She couldn't match it from her side, so I went ahead and ordered the phone online.
I was able to order through my company web portal this morning. Got it on a 1 year for $229.99. Showed up as $319 on the general public VZW page though.
The difference would probably be if your due for your NE2. purchased mine for $229 / 1 yr contract. This line WAS due for it
Btw: my price came up at $149 for a 2 yr contract. Guessing this is my last $50 from them though

im getting my for 50 dollars but i just looked anywayz , says 249 for 2 yrs & 319 for 1 one for me
I got in for the $199 for 2 years
Do you guys think value wise its more worth it to go with the 1yr at 229 since you'd be up for another subsidized phone price in a year? My employer's vzw site has the 229 1yr active.. should I do it? Currently my order is placed with amazon for $180 shipped (no sales tax which is another 40 dollars in savings), but I have to wait till Monday to get it
Thoughts? Thanks!
The other thing is that after a year, I seriously doubt ulimited LTE will still be 30/month so I feel like the 1 year kinda could screw you?
Says my order shipped, but shows no tracking yet!
i tried going through my verizon account online and selecting the upgrade option, still showed the $249 for the 2 year contract.
but then i tried my employer's portal to the verizon store online and got the $229/1 year and $199/2 year contract prices. guess for whatever reason my account isn't fully synced to show my employer's affiliation. hmmm this could be a good way to get the tbolt for cheap.....i think i'll go check one out in person at verizon and then decide.
Do you guys think that after 1 year when you have to sign a new contract... will you still be able to pay the $30 unlimited lte? hmmm crapshoot

Cheapest way for me to get a Nexus?

I really want the Nexus S 4G when it comes out. I don't have any upgrades available.
The full retail price I expect to be $550 through Sprint. My thought is that my best option would be to cancel my current line, pay the ETF ($160 for me right now) and then immediately get a new line and get the Nexus for $200. This would be a total cost of $360.
I guess my other option would be to add a new line to my account, get the Nexus for $200, then cancel my previous line and pay the ETF.
Any other ideas? I just want to get the Nexus for as cheap as possible.

The nexus will be $549.99 outright and $199.99 w/2yr agreement. Either way you go it can become rather expensive and I think the best way would to be add a line to your account and cancel the other. You will pay $200 for the nexus but you should be able to get about $250 or $300 outta your Evo as long as it's still in good condition. But that all depends apon the ETF!

This is correct.
The $399 refers to new two-year price or price with upgrade.
http://www.wirefly.com/eCommerce/phones/?&FilterByCarrier=68&mode=&
You can generally get a phone through Wirefly for the contract price without resigning or upgrading. Sell the current phone then put a few bucks more with it and you're all set.

Sprint technically won't let you ETF and sign a new contract and get the 2 year instant discount. Usually they require a 30-day period in order to be considered a "new" customer. Your best bet is to add a new line and then cancel the other line and pay ETF. You'll pay $199.99 for the new phone, $160.00 for ETF, and then sell your EVO for $250-300. Overall, shouldn't cost more than $60-70 to switch phones unless I'm missing something. You WILL be extending your time in shackles with Sprint for another 2 years though.
Myself, I plan on dropping Sprint all together (3 lines on a Family share plan) this summer and going with a local GSM provider. I'll be saving $60 a month and still get unlimited calling, txting, data. Saving $60 a month means I can subsidize myself and buy my own unlocked phones.

I pay $9.50 or so a month for unlimited talk with the [email protected] service. I have a corp discount rate though; normally I think its around $12.00 a month? The service for new customers has been discontinued for about a year now but T-Mobile still provides it for standing customers.
When i purchased my vibrant through amazon i had to change my data plan. As soon as I activated the phone I was able to call tmobile and tell them that I wanted my old data plan and they switched me back. They really know how to treat their paying customers.

Nope I saved $150.00 as an incentive to renew the contract for the account containing the [email protected] service line. As a result the CSR offered me an additional -$50 off @Home account If I got the Sensation today. I couldn't pass this deal up.
In the end its
$50 VISA gift card
$100 back in my pocket (or never out, lol)
That's a good score.
However, I am waiting until Saturday to activate a new Sensation and contract, so I can stack SENSATION50 and the father's Day $10/month free data plan for a year.
Then, after that has been done, get my corporate plan to reimburse the activation fee and drop the monthly.
I got a $90 bill credit, HTC Sensation 4G at the 2 yr agreement price and a free Nokia Astound, the upgrade dates on my other lines are untouched but the contract was extended 2 years on all of them.. LOVED this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is 'customer loyalty' & 'retention' department one in the same?

Just call 1-800-TMobile and say "Cancel" when it asks you what your calling for.
OR call their Executive Customer Service Dept (little hidden secret) 1-877-724-4659 or 505-341-8059

Dude the phone was $199 (upgrade price w/2 year service), -$50 (visa) -$100 (credit to my account which was 50 for the web special and the other 50 for the [email protected] contract renewal)
That equals $50
Get it now?

That's the problem.
The phone is $249, not $199.
I was offered the bill credit, I didn't ask for one.. I was happy enough getting the Sensation 4G 14 months before I was supposed to be able to.

Can someone clarify the 149$ vs $249

So I know this phone should be $249.99. However its only $149.99 in select markets. What is the reasoning behind this? I figured it was because I didn't live in an LTE area and I wouldn't for quite awhile; however two reps I spoke with said it was to push the phone to sell in "soon to be launched LTE hotspots". Is this true? I'm I'm.central Cali.

I'm in Modesto and the sales rep looked like I was speaking French when I asked about a LTE rollout. Idiots. Best Buy told me summer 2012. We'll see.

I don't know about other areas but in Greater LA area, it was initially $249 online but after few days, the price dropped. As for the ATT store, the rep told me that it was $149 from start.

The phone costs $149 now in all AT&T stores and if ordered directly by AT&T
They reduced the price of their 2 current LTE phones (Vivid, Skyrocket) by $100 in LTE coverage areas. I do not live in an LTE area but my rep honored the discount, so I was able to get the Skyrocket for $149. I think she just fudged the zip code so the discount would show on the computer. I live about 3 hours away from San Antonio which has LTE coverage. Now I need an excuse to visit so I can test out LTE.
My area has them for $149 right now.
Do you guys think the price will drop any further in the near future?
Or is it likely to go back UP to the $250 it was originally priced at on release date?
Online & all the official stores and authorized retailers in my area that I called in my area had them for $249. I ended up purchasing mine for $149 using my Premier account.
If you are new to ATT or adding a line, you can get it for 50% off at 125 dollars. Although the discount says its online only, the ATT CS guy was awesome for me and did everything right there. Ended up paying 160 dollars for the phone and 3 accessories.

False. I live in an LTE area (Boston) and it is $249.99 for me online.
I ordered mine online. In my area, they wanted $249 for it. So, I started over and gave the website a zip code of 10532 (a market where it was being sold for $149). The order went through at that price point.
The phone hasn't shipped yet, but I don't foresee an issue.
All over Dallas and its suburbs the phone its selling for 249.99. I purchased mine @ Fry's for 149.99.

I also live in the Bay Area. When I went to check the AT&T web site for the phone, the price was $149 ($249 and a $100 rebate). The stores had exactly the same price.
i just got taken for $249 + tax
so i'm calling the AT&T to see if they can credit me the difference

FALSE!! Well sort of. The sale looks to be over now. That's why it shows to $249 even in LTE coverage areas now. Sorry guys.
One of my previous managers I used to work for told me the $149.99 was always going to be a "launch" price. Couldn't confirm timeframe and this was just for select Corp locations.

I checked the price probably 10 times since launch and it never was $149 here.

I guess you guys got the shaft from the get go then. Strange they would not discount the phone in such a large city. All 3 LTE areas in Texas had the discount, for a few days anyway.
It never showed 149 in Atlanta and we have had lte since day 1
It does show 149 when using the 10532 zip listed above so the sale is not over

As of Sunday morning 11-20-2011, Houston Texas (LTE area) prices shows $149 when I log in to my upgrade options, and same price when not signed in just looking at pricing with new activation.
I'm trying really hard NOT to buy this phone. Keep telling myself to save the money, the prices might come down, and give Samsung/ATT time to work out any bugs this new device may have.
But I'm getting weak .... cant resist .... much ... longer..
