I got mine since last Monday, which app do you use to take screen shots?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App

Try the app 'shoot me'. Its free on the android market.

lol all i see is the LG Logo when I take a screen shot, I already tried 2 apps with SU permission.

If you have adb working try taking a screen capture from the ddms.bat file in the SDK tools folder!

you can install droid explorer and take screenshots from your pc. plus do alot of other things.
it will even install the sdk for you.

Droid Explorer is the #1 open source Android device manager. Currently only for rooted devices.

Mine is rooted and I use an app called Drocap2

Or you guys could simply press Home + Power to take a screen shot, no silly software needed

WOW! That worked. Very nice. Thanks, I didn't know that

Been playing around with the phone all day, and this is what I came up with!

Nice! What mod (I don't know the correct phrase for anything, lol) is that where it shows all those widgets like tiles on the screen? I really like that.

Another perfectly good reason for there to be one forum covering O2x and G2x...

It's a combination of two really awesome apps I discovered. One is called Desktop Visualiser, and the other is called SiMi Folders. Both are really impressive. Having all of the tiles (which are actually widgets) does use a lot of ram, but this phone easily handles it.

Ya, honestly we need separate development sections, but that's basically it. everything else should be interchangeable.

Imho the new adw.launcher is the best home replacement! It's like launcher pro but it's nicer and more options. I recommend to all or at least give it a try and please tell what you think...
+1
I was waiting and waiting for this to finally come packaged in a method not requiring root. It's super sleek and has a ton of options. I love it.
thanks I was just looking for a new home replacement too
I definitely love the insane amount of options but I dunno, just didnt do it for me. Im gonna have to give this one to LauncherPro.
where can I find it at? is it called Adw.launcher?

Wow, its a nice launcher...I do wish for an option to save settings to sd card.
Installed once, and it was nice. I tried reinstalling it and I can't get it to come up. How do you start it initially? Last time I just hit the home button and it gave me the option...

Am I the only person that has noticed a somewhat annoying amount if lag with this launcher?
While I can say it's a nice looking launcher, I just can't say that I would use it in a day to day basis.

I'm aware of this, but since this project is open source perhaps it will be the first? Open source is better than proprietary any day!
senseui and it's widgets aren't open source though, so no dice. the closest we get is beautiful widget

[APP][Widget] Broken Screen Widget

Hey there!
I would like to show you one of my first apps.
This is an unpretentious widget supposed to fake an impact on the phone screen and so simulate a broken screen to fool your friends .
I know there are many other apps of that kind on the market but I wanted to write something which would be easy to use and custom.
On top of that, it's free and ads-free. So, tell me what you think, what I could improve, and enjoy .
Here is the market link

Ahah, it seems pretty good for a first app !!
Totaly useless but must have.
Effect look quite real.
Cool app idea.
Just one thing of note...
And when I browse for it my app browser screen or widget browser it has a black background and your icon is black so it looks like your app doesnt have an icon. But I see it does when I click it I can see it (because it gets highlighted green when I click).
Im on an HTC Evo.
Great app. This will make for some interesting practical jokes.
Made clickable for the lazy!
@JustinBrew
Thanks for your feedback! I have just noticed it too. We'll make an update soon with a new icon .
And for the link, I was unable to make it clickable since this account on Xda forums is new. Thanks for adding this!
Hey,
we pushed an update for the icon, now It should be visible at anytime .

ahaha nice app...
i hope this one actually works
tried a few on the market but none seem to work quite well

It works great, but it's kind of small on the galaxy s. you can modify it with launcher pro + to enhance the size. also being a widget it moves when you scroll between panels. it would be cool if it stayed in the same place on each panel and on the app drawer.
Cheers

Anyone else?
IMDB has the duplicate image, one of lower quality, behavior.

The only thing I don't like about this is that there is no transitions between pages and sections. It's just choppy switching from one thing to another instead of smooth movement like the last market. Hopefully this is improved upon soon.

Once you choose a category.. like apps.. then live wallpaper, you can change from featured to top paid then to top free by sliding the current screen to the left like a home launcher screen. Just "swipe" from right to left.. then back etc

Yeah I saw that. But you use to be able to do "all apps" and the "new app" or games. Now you just have "top paid" or "top free". So you realty can see the new ones. You know what I'm saying?

AirDroid Theming

So I've been using AirDroid a lot lately and have been noticing that the UI is generally very... bright. So I decided to tone it down a little and customize it to fit a more ICS theme. Not to mention have the long-awaited Picture of our Galaxy Note up top!
If you don't know what it is, check it out here.
I just started the project about an hour ago and plan on re-theming pretty much everthing in there. What do you guys think? Any suggestions?
The .apk is attached at the bottom of the post if you want it (You're going to have to uninstall your current version before installing due to different signs), if you download it please leave a thanks and offer some suggestions and ideas!
(.apk Updated June 6th with the most recent version)
New fixes by the Airdroid staff and visual updates by me! Have at it.

Yeah I fixed the sending animation and just touched it up to look pretty much how it does right now. There are still a few things missing (like the large image of the Note under the details, as I just haven't gotten around to doing that yet). Didn't look like too many people had any interest in it so I just didn't keep it updated here. If you want a link I'll upload it to Dropbox and paste a link in here for you though

It is attached to the first post now, I decompiled the .apk and located all the files I needed, then Photoshopped and CSS'ed my way through it until it looked the way I wanted. Then just Recompiled and signed it for distribution!
Looks good. I may try my hand at it as well, give it a Holo look. If I get it how I like it then I'll post the apk as well.
Edit: I see you already gave it a semi-Holo look. I did go in and change a few of the icons to the Google icons and I changed the background to the ICS background. I didn't look at one of the icons close enough though and didn't realize it wasn't transparent, so I'll have to fix that. Otherwise, I'm happy now.
The apk has been updated to include the new version released by the AirDroid team a few days ago, check it out! It's much less buggy than the original.
thanx

Very nice! Funny, I did almost the same thing. Only thing I changed was the image of the phone to be the SGN. (and the note in my picture is running AOSP ICS) You seemingly went above and beyond though with the theme. Good job

No problem! Happy to share. The new version should auto detect our phones and put the picture in there (after two or three times of using it usually). So their Gingerbread version is just what happens to be what they put

Is it a button on top of it that you can press? Then it could be used as an extra button to do pretty much anything you want, like launching an app, taking photo etc.

thanks, i have installed it fine but no idea how to get anything to work.
do i have to set permissions or anything to allow the app to work? when i put the mikey in, it doesnt do anything.
It seems pretty easy for me, but not very usefull if you use headphones too.
You insert the MiKey, open the app and choose what do tou want for simple, double, triple.... Simple long, Double long... And that should work. More or less. On the paid version, you can make the app be more resistant and that help to wake up the phone when it's on deep sleep for example.
There are other app like iKey, Pressy and KlicK if you want to try.

thanks again, yeah, when i insert is seems to recognise it as a headset and not the mikey, so i have no sound for anything when it is in. I dont use a headset ever, so will find the mikey useful but as i say, right now.. i set it to do things in the app , it doesnt work and i have no sound and cant figure out why!
You should wipe app data and reinsert, it should ask you.
Gave that a try.. Still no luck. Am I missing something? Any other English apps?
