can i change my service plan with costco?
other places i must keep the same plan for 180 days.

Do you guys know if it would be possible to pay the $200 early upgrade fee at costco?

Awesome! Thanks for posting. I might have to swing by Costco

we can change plans when ever. we just call AT&T for you and then it's changed.
since were not a corpatre store we don't sell the phones out right and you can't pay the early upgrade/termination fee here.
and yeah you need a Costco card. you can borrow someones and just pay cash but hey if you come to me I'd let you use mine so I get commission off your sale haha

I just called Costco and was told that they don't have the phones yet
maybe tomorrow

I am buying mine tomorrow

what is costco's policy on dead pixels and dust?

you have 90 days with Costco. you can bring the phone back/exchange for any reason within those 90 days. there's no restocking fee either.
also you get free car chargers with any phone you purchase. I suggest go to Costco. save 20 bucks (phone is 79.99) so you can go buy a case with the money you saved.

really? 90 days returns on cellphone? nice!

I called my local Costco kiosk, and they just got 5 of them this morning. One is set aside for me, and I will drop by after work.

Damnit. Now I regret pre-ordering at Radio Shack.

Anyone know if you can just pay full price?

Confirmed...I just picked mine up. You a car charger, Leather case, and headphones in the package. The 90 return policy is for the phone..you only get 30 days to return the phone in case you dont like it. The same AT&T policy.

i called 2 costco around 1:30pm in my area, both said they dont have it. maybe i should call another costco and ask.
update: just called another costco, they said they have 4 left! haha
i going now to take a look!

I'm from modesto ca got mine at the Costco in turlock. The kiosk in modeso said they were getting it today just waiting on ups

verizon tbolt replacement

so i decided to go ice skating with my tbolt in my pocket cause i was gonna take videos of my sister falling down. i left the evo and my work bb in the locker cause i wouldnt need three phones.
well wouldnt you know, i was the first to fall and shattered the tbolt screen near the bottom. basically on screen keyboard down.
anyway, since i just got on verizon service less than two weeks ago i go to their store for help. they cant replace it and require me to call asurion. so i do and fill out their online forms. turns out ill have my phone tomorrow. they are also shipping a new memory card, battery, and home charger! i just need to swap my sim over and i should be good to go.
oh..it was only $99 and the overnight (or two day - you choose) is free.
just wanted to pass that info on.

which means that you are paying $7 a month for the asurion insurance through verizon. stinks that you have to pay a deductible, I ran my phone over with my car and Best Buy's protection plan got me a brand new phone with no deductible, although I paid $10 a month for it.

I've found their insurance to be crap you have to wait a month for them to ship you a new one and then pay 150 for a phone to use while you wait

Plus if you are like me and bought it at $149,99 at Costco within 90 days you are given any lower price in cash back. So go to Memership counter with or without reciet and they will give you your $50.00 in cash back with no issue!
Ice.
that sounds awesome. Will give it a try
Where do I pick up the coupon and how long is the deal going to last?
If I was to buy at Costco, would I be able to easily swap it out if I had bad screen bleed? Because I know they have (or at least had) a good return policy. Is it 90 days for phones? Any stipulations?

Yes, you can switch out for any reason in that 90 days! No quetions asked. In fact the policy is that you take out your sim card and pack up phone. They just verify its all there and refund in cash. They give you choice of same or different phone. YOu only have 14 days though to cancel contract all together. The 90 days if for the phone.

two way, a coupon book is mailed to all Costco Customers. Or simply grab one at membership. There are always tons of them.
Its the sale. I think this one is 2 weeks starting yesterday.

I checked my most recent coupon book and this is the one I found. A single coupon for the following: up $250 off the G2x, up to $150 off the Droid 2 Global and up to $30 off the Infuse 4G. Is this the coupon you're referring to?
I bought mine online last week. Can I still get $50 back?
This is only for the people who bought it there correct?

The price shows 79.99 if you bought it online from Wireless Advocates through Costco's website
http://membershipwireless.com/index...nternal/utm_medium/feature/utm_campaign/haven
I'm going there today to get my price adjustment. I bought it for 149.99 on 4/20. Hopefully its 79.99 at the Wireless Advocates kiosk inside Costco. If it's $99.99 there, thats still good and I wont complain about $50 off.
I just spoke with Wireless Advocates representative on the phone, and she basically told me that I can't get the $50 off if I go to the Kiosk inside Costco. I'm mad since this phone is less than a week old.
I bought one for $80..nice deal for sure. I had returned my original to t-mobile.
Is it also $99 for people eligible for a 2-year upgrade?
Just came back from Costco. Its 79.99 at the Costco cellphone kiosk if you are getting a new contract. Upgrades or renewals are 99.99. I just got my $50 credit adjustment back to my American Express.
Don't go directly to the customer service/refund section of Costco. They need an item number code from the kiosk. Go to the kiosk directly and get it there. Again if you signed up at Costco on a new contract your new price will be $79.99. If it was an upgrade then its 99.99.
Sale prices end 5/17!!!
No coupon is needed for these sale prices. Always bring your receipt always because it will be faster for you.
m918v did you buy it online or from the kiosk inside the Costco?
to clarify
so - you are saying that with a costco membership, we can get the phone with out a contract for $300?
How much is a membership to costco?

Uh, wasn't it already proven in the other Costco thread that you have to jump through some MAJOR hoops to get phones off-contract from Costco?
Has anyone here walked out of Costco with a $300 phone without signing up or extending a contract?
Yeah scrap that, Costco wont sell you a contract free phone. I just called and they said they wont do that at any Costco location. I thought the price was $300 because that was the new price the Costco employee rang up before the discounts for a new price of $99.
Sorry for the confusion.

Costco has G2x for 49 for a "new to T-mobile "contract PLUS you get

FYI
Costco has G2x for $49 for a "new to T-mobile "contract PLUS you get free case, car charger and a decent 35 dollar ish blutooth headset.
This is 30 dollars lower than just two weeks ago, so if you bought then, you can get that 30 back in cash. That refund part is why I thought I should post it out
The card with the price said it ends on the 31st, so I am not sure if you need to go in at that time to get the refund, or if its just the fact the price went down and you are aware of it.....my guess is you gotta be in the store wanting the refund at the time the sale is still going.
good luck

Appreciate the post on this deal. I do feel it fair to warn others about my experience with Costco's cellphone kiosk.
After getting my Vibrant there I will never buy a phone from Costco again. After the price adjusted I had to exchange my handset, they insisted I pay the difference for tax on the new phone and even tried to tac on some more stuff. They wanted me to pay about $50 just to exchange my phone! In the end the people at the phone kiosk (they arent actually owned by costco) would NOT help me, the store manager for that costco ended up just ringing it up for the ~$50 at the register and overriding it to $0 so Costco actually ended up paying the kiosk guys $50 so I could get a new phone! (Yay Costco manager! I know she didn't have to do this). I had tried the corporate store but they insisted I go back to Costco. Booo those guys!
I bought my G2X from an authorized reseller other than Costco and although I didn't run into the same problem, I did have to exchange the phone and took it to a corporate store, they insisted I go to the exact retailer I got it from. So I guess the moral is, T-Mobile makes your life miserable if you buy from a reseller and you have a problem, thus I will only get from T-Mobile corporate stores from now on, if I was a reseller I would be pissed about this, but thats not my problem.

Yeah, posted that a few days ago here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101107
They are actually offering more than you mentioned as well. (activation fee waived + an additional $35 credit to your bill)
If i bought my phone at costco and have a bad one as far as freezing / random reboots go do u think costco will acknowledge that problem and let me exchange it?
I only ask because they didn't seem to be experts on the phones that they were selling

I have not done the actual returns to Costco like the other poster said that sucked. They SAID that 30 days return phone and service....90 days return phone to Costco....with Costco being responsible for all things hardware, and the kiosk just doing the service side.
Do a complete system erase and see if that helps, if not, I would go straight to return counter of Costco, and let them work it, as opposed to starting at kioak.
sound like a YMMV thing too, so tell the girls that color looks really good on them... early on in the process.

Just exchanged my phone and had zero issues. I had a USB problem, in particular. The guy at the kiosk was curious about the issue so he tried to plug it into his computer and was able to replicate the issue (computer doesn't react to device at all).
Swapped it out for a shiny new one. And due to the way that he did the transaction, my timer for my purchase restarted again and I have another 90 days to return this new phone. This should give me plenty of time to determine whether or not I want to return it and get one of the new devices that are hitting the market soon.
I think you SHOULD be fine as long as the price and rebates are the same or less than when you originally bought it. What happened with mine is that the price had changed from just $50 to like $350 with a mail in rebate, so first they insisted the only way they could do it was to give me back my $50 and I had to just pay the $350 and get the $150 MIR and I was just SOL on the deal I got before, because Costco doesnt "exchange" anything, they just give you a refund and then you can buy a new one, and in my case a new one was $300 more! Anyway, I won't rehash the whole thing but in the end they were unwilling to help me, and the store management needed to step up and do the right thing.

thunderbolt independence day sale........

Anyone heard of or expecting big red to put the thunderbolt on sale for 4'th of July? I recall verizon having a sale on memorial day sale & also remember Amazon having the thunderbolt for $129.00 with free shipping.
If I can get into a thunderbolt this weekend for $150.00 or less, I'll jump on it.
If so, do you think they'll honor the discount for new customers who are still within the 14 day cancellation period? I just got my TB and VZ service on monday.
I got my Thunderbolt from Amazon Wireless last week for $129 (I was on Tmobile without a contract).
Aaargh, right now it is $99 for new subs!

If so, then yes. If the first rep you speak to says no, then ask for a manager (not a "supervisor') and they'll most likely give you even more of a discount for yor troubles.
^Same question as this guy, I got mine yesterday
FWIW, since I noticed that Amazon Wireless went down to $99 for the Tbolt, I called them and politely asked for the difference, since i just got the phone and "am still within my return period."
I had a very helpful and cute sounding CSR, and she actually refunded the $30 difference! w00t! Thanks, Amazon!
This definitely improves the old customer satisfaction rating.

I actually was about to order my TBolt from Amazon last week (New Customer Switching Over From At&t) until I decided to drive around to a couple of stores and see if I could get the same pricing as Amazon so I wouldn't have to wait for shipping (Patience Is Not My Virtue....). After going to a couple of stores and being told that they would not budge from the $250.00 price I gave up and went to the Mall with the wife. I came across a Best Buy Mobile store and decided to give it one last try....
I told the guy that Amazon was offering me the phone for $130.00 with free shipping and after he spoke to his manager he came back and told me he couldn't do the $130.00 price but that he could give me the phone for $150.00 with one month of black tie protection, the buy back program and a car charger or case (me and my wife both picked the case). We immediately said yes and had our TBoltz rigth there and then.
FYI:
After closely looking at the receipt I noticed that what they did was give me the phone for $100.00 bucks and then sell me the buy back program and the one month of black tie protection. The case was a complete freebie seeing that it cost 30 bucks (Platinum Best Buy Case). Total cost in the end for the phone was like $140.00 bucks....

Photon Q at Costco Wireless for $39 + Kitchen sink of accessories lol

Found this awesome deal so wanted to share:
http://membershipwireless.com/index.cfm/go/shop/do/PhoneDetails/productId/5402
For 39$ you get:
1 Motorola Photon Q
2 screen protectors
1 3 in1 charger
1 reusable case
2 leather cases
But that is not all they have a free mail in rebate for the following:
1 Vehicle Window Mount and Navigation Dock (40$ value?)
1 Portable Power Battery Pack (Google says 1420mAh and around 20-40$ value)
*Kitchen sink not included >.>
Oh and upgrade fee is waived and shipping is free if you don't have a near by costco.
I've been holding off on the upgrade from my OG Epic 4g but at this price + activation fee waived, + accessories I think ill be making a trip to cosco on monday. Don't have a membership but a co worker does... Thanks for the tip on this.
Just got mine and sent off the rebate for the dock and external battery/charger. Guy at Costco said it typically takes only 4 weeks to get the accessories. This deal is good until the end of the year it seems, so dig in. The Photon Q is backordered online and I got the last one at the Costco I went to the other day, so if you want in, get your order in soon.
Crap...just when I finally decide to upgrade from my Epic I barely miss this deal.
Says Out of Stock online. I'm not a Costco member but have a friend who is, any chance they have any in stock in store or do they normal ship everything like this from the warehouse so Out of Stock on the website means no chance in the store?
FYI, the out of stock is only online, you can call or visit your local Costco for their stock.
Also, the price is officially $249.99 with a $210 instant rebate, but they charge you tax on the full $249.99, so it's really $39.99 + tax on $249.99.
Thanks for the info! Going to pick this phone up for my wife so you just saved me a bunch of money. Anyone know if I can upgrade her phone to this one at Costco even though she's on SERO? Or does it require to be at a sprint store?
Just got back from Costco from grabbing one...
Root in 3....2....1..
So this is for the phone, accessories, and NO CHANGE IN CONTRACT? Looking like an awesome deal! I will have to have my cousin pick it up for me if no change in contract is required.
If you are/were currently due/eligible for upgrade, and are already on a premium data plan (one with the extra $10 charge), then it is no change at all to your plan except for re-upping on another two year agreement.
One change that I encountered however is that I was still paying $8/mo for TEP (insurance), and according to the kiosk guy at Costco it's went up to $11/mo. Going to call Sprint soon and see if I can argue back to my $8.
Sprint charges $36 for the activation of the new phone, which Costco will issue you an account credit for. It may take a billing cycle or two for the $36 to credit back.
Battery Charger shown here
Anybody received the battery charger shown in this deal yet? I am interested in the manufacturer info on that, as I tried to google it, and could not get it to come up. Looking to find this one on line.
Never mind I found it.
Damn, want to do this deal for the wife to upgrade her EVO Shift, but she isn't eligible until 1/1/13
