Hello guy, First of all i just want thanks all the Dev's out there, rooted my Phone about 3 weeks ago and cant stop tweaking it, well messing it up and goin back and figering out what went rong. lol. This is my problem i am running CM7 nightly (7) and i get around 1000- to 2800 kbps download but the upload rate is funny its all over the place some time its around 300kbps and then will drop to 10ish kbps. ive tryed turning the sync data off. and still the same. What do you guys think. Thank you so much for your time.

Hey guys.. new to the tilt and installed dutty's most recent hybrid rom with cube on the 1.64 radio.. noticed that when i go to the recent calls and want to get out by pressing end button.. it goes to a blank screen with the 4 icons at the bottom and cant get out unless i hit the screen and hit okay at the top.. is this a bug?
I have that problem too.... starting a new thread probabally isn't a great idea, answer is probabally burried in the original thread for the rom... but just FYI instead of pressing the red hang up button to get rid of the screen, press the "ok" button directly under it. that will close it without the white screen.
yea i tried digging through everything and couldn't find anything.. so i'll just post my questions/bugs here since i've already created a thread..
I'm coming from symbian so Windows Mobile is a completely whole new platform for me..
Hows the battery life on your phones? I've got through 50% in nearly 10 hours.. which is horrible.. but i've been playing with it all day..
Another thing i found weird was everytime i try to hit the X button on the top right to close the app.. somehow the "Comm Manager" keeps popping up outta no where.. is there some kinda hot button that makes it come up?
Also, the timestamps on my SMS is completely off.. its nearly 5 hours behind.. anyone else experiencing this?

10 hours of "playing all day" and you've still got 50%?

I had posted the resolution to the time stamp issue long ago! The thread is still there... I have been using these forums for quite some time and never had to ask a question as all the answers I needed were already posted.
The only exception I found was with the SMS time stamp problem. That was the only topic/issue without an answer. I tried a trick I had for my WM5 iPaq 6955 and to my surprise it worked on WM6 & 6.1. I now use UC to auto add in the reg key needed If you don't know what UC is then check the WIKI.

yeahhh but his is still plugged in.

I left my house at 10 hours ago.. been fiddling with it ever since.. trying to get used to it.. battery is currently sitting at 37% now..

A cellphone can get a few days of life due to the lack of features they have. This is a Pocket PC phone. It has a large display which you might have the brightness turned all the way max while using it. So in short:
- Larger screen
- Brightness too high
- Wifi, Bluetooth, or GPS left on...
All can cause quick drain on battery! Even the type of mobile processor can cause quick drain. Compared to older Qualcomm chips, the 7200 is not too bad on battery life with the right OS tweaks.

Fido is owned by Rogers so network wise there is no difference... How are you entering the reg key? Are you soft resetting after the reg edit?

hi i'm new to android system be readn bout rootn n probably will once i feel comfortable with it.i ve had my us cellular mesmerize for 3 weeks and no problems until today.first i have no mods yet,today incoming calls turn speaker phone automatically,even an incoming on call waiting turns it on.i figured i'd reboot it see if that helped,my buddies start blown up phone sayn i just sent them 20 old texts from a few days ago.i've looked high n low for a solution to these probs todays,i've seen other people with them but no clear solution how to fix or why its happened.I figured if anybody could help me it would b somebody here.please help me and i'm sorry this post is so long.thank you,and keep up the good work.

huh...that sounds odd.but whatever, i suggest u read some of the posts here on xda first and foremost (gotta start somewhere) i personally would bring my phone back to stock android 2.1-Update 1. from there i would flash ec10 then ee19.there is a well written step by step guide here i urge you to read it...and when your done read it again.only flash mesmerize Roms!!! there is quite a bit of software here on site so...goodluck that's about all i can suggest forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=931169

Honestly, if you haven't rooted or done anything to your phone I would go to a store tech and have them look at it. Not much we can do here for you.
Hey all, got my shift in Feb. I have gone thru tons of roms and done tons of clear battery resets and charged the phone on off etc etc etc. Original battery would get to green 100% and then drop down to 74 I think like nothing instantly. I had sprint swap the battery out with a red OEM about a month ago and now it doesnt charge past 85%. I really dont want to swap the phone out as we cannot root the new ones am I correct? Any last ditch effort suggestions? I cant stand this battery issue but I really want a rooted phone...im currently on supreme v6 as of the other day and it is by far the best fastest rom on this phone to date I have used. It does this in stock as well as mikshift so its not the rom itself...

Also, swapping out your phone wouldn't be an issue since you can now root Gingerbread

Technically you downgrade to froyo. Then root through that.

Hey i recently got my Infuse and love it to death. I rooted and am using Infused 1.6 Rom now my question is about signal issuses. It seems like when im at work or I cannot get on the internet. My twitter wont even refresh to show new tweets some times and my facebook will time out as well as regular internet. My iPhone never did this i always got great signal indoors....... I Was wonering if it was possibly the 4g always swithcing on and off? Is there anything i could do maybe keep it at 3g or even edge some how???? Any suggestions???? Thanks !
Try changing the modem. I am in south east US, and KI3 seems to give me beautiful results.

This problem is not not your 4g, its just this funny apn setting I think. Head over to the compiled cm7 or miui, the fixed apn which you just simply add is there, and it'll fix data dropping out, which seems like that's your problem. Or simply there may just not be reception in there now ha. I would provide you were to find it, but its in just one of the last couple pages in cm7 and sorry ill be out of school in a while.
So about a month month a ago me and my gf were long time blackberry users and me coming across a deal of a life time on a epic 4g touch ($210 off CL, must of been fate) but since then I finally understood why android is so great. At first I almost sold the phone because I was so used to my blackberry I went threw withdrawal at first. Anyway after a week I changed for life and now my gf is going to change as last night I got her a nexus s 4g and instantly rooted and put ics on it. She said she will never touch a blackberry again, end of story.
Anyway far from a newb on tech but already I see there are minor differences in flashing roms and rooting etc. Right now I'm on oICSv40 with the glades kernal and it's pretty great (minor lag and force closes but overall great).
Any tips or for me would be greatly appreciated. Also can I use calk format all zip before flashing roms and what should I backup (aside from apps and system data)
Going thru a lot of the past threads to try to get up to speed. Also thanks to all the devs you guys rock.
ps. is there a way to fix the yellow tint issue screen has a warm tint to it kinda really bugs me.
Here is a thread where you can fix screen color. My screen looked much better after using this.
