[DEV][WIP] Jelly Bean / CM10 (4.1.2) Alpha 5 - 3.1 kernel - Last Update 17.11.2012

After many sleepless nights and many wasted weekends we are proud to present
Android 4.1.1 / Jelly Bean for Toshiba Folio 100
This is the current state of CyanogenMod 10 for the Toshiba Folio 100
READ THIS:
From Alpha 2 on we are using a new partition layout. You must install a new recovery using fastboot before installing the update and format all partitions.
The internal storage/sdcard partition must be formatted using the formatsd.zip from recovery.
From Alpha 3 on we have intergrated the CM-AutoUpdater. In order to make it work you must MANUALLY enter to the RECOVERY when the Folio reboots to install the Updates via AutoUpdater, as we have no way to automatically make the bootloader to boot the recovery image.
Since Alpha 4 the Folio can reboot to recovery on it's own. CM-AutoUpdater will work out of the box without the need to manually enter recovery anymore.

Hello,
Great!
- Sound via HDMI is working, im quite happy!
(I hear some pops when no sound-file is playing, e.g. when loading videostream etc.)
- hardware-decoding is working! It did not work until now! Gread
- have some mixture in density of app-drawer. maybe resulting from not making a full wipe.
@aheros: What's the difference between this ROM and your ripped ROM?
Kind Regards
Stefan
clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap.........................clap, clap

hello derartem :highfive:
It is great to see jellybean one the folio
Wifi is working like a charm
if i put the tablet on 160 dpi the soft buttons are gone :crying:.
Why not make 160 dpi the default setting :good: ?
Thank you
amazing work in this rom :victory: until now is very smooth and very responsive
however, I just found these two problems:
- sometimes the shutdown process hangs up and the tablet will not turn off
- after installing some apps, I can not install more because it gives me the error "insufficient storage available"
Someone has tried sixaxis controler (ds3 driver bluetooth gamepad), stays in driver starting... all time any ideas?
Thanks you very much DerArtem!
EDIT
Nothing, works well, only need updated app.
thanks derartem !!! it s great job
bug for me :- turn off bug the screen stays on
- inernet browser navigation is slow
Hi,
the ROM is always very good, I see more quality here than in professional developers!
Anyway I have some issues with the sound, where sometimes it stop working just bringing some pops, after a reboot the sound is back again.
The WIFI seems to still having some disconnections.
Anyway IMHO is more stable than the CM9 version.
I wish you a funny Sunday! Have fun, don't work on this today!
Ciao
GT
Hi.
This is an amazing rom!! Wow!

Pipo S1 - CrewRKTablets CM10.1 v 1.3.2 - Installation

INTRODUCTION:
Thanks to Oma7144's great work on the RK30 Odys Genio, and otyg for confirming this ROM works on the Pipo S1...
CURRENT POST STATUS:
DRAFT. Requires feedback. Works for me, your mileage may vary.
WARNINGS:
1. Read the entire post and decide if you can do everything before you begin.
2. I am not the ROM developer.
2. Read the development thread yourself to ensure I'm not telling lies.
3. Following in my footsteps might destroy your data, device or marriage.
RESOURCES:
Downloadables: Crew RKTablets and Downloads.
Developer topic: RK3066 Tab Genio by Oma rocks !.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Where am I up to? Looks like a lot of steps, but I've really spelt it out. Take your time.
1. Perform a recovery backup or manually Backup your data. I backup app data using Helium to external SD.
NOTE: Recovery backup might not work cleanly between versions of recovery.
2. Download the CM10.1 files from here:
- Odys Genio Beta v1.3.2
- format_NAND_fix
- Pipo S1 kernel
- 3.0.36+ CWM
3. Extract 'CrewRKTablets_RK30_Genio by Oma_CM10.1_v1.3.2.7z'
4. Delete the 'kernel.img' and 'recovery.img' files from /rockdev/image folder (Odys Genio Kernel/recovery is not compatible with Pipo S1)
5. Extract 'RK3-_kernel_308_s1_pipo2.7z' and 'Oma_RK30_3.0.36+_CWM_6.0.3.1.7z' archives to the /rockdev/image folder
6. Copy the 'Oma RK30 CM10.1 Format NAND.zip' archive to the external microSD card
7. Hard-off the tablet by long pressing the power button (4+ seconds)
8. Insert microSD card
9. Hold down the VOL- button while inserting microUSB cable to enter download mode
10. Start the 'RKAndroidTool.exe' found in the 'RKDevelopTool_v1.35' folder (right-click, run as administrator)
NOTE: The tool should say 'Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb'.
11. Hit 'EraseIDB' and wait for success (Clears partition table)
12. Hit 'Run'
Once 'INFO: Run OK', Pipo S1 will boot into recovery
**RECOVERY SHOULD BE v6.0.3.1**
13. Wipe cache
14. Wipe data/factory reset
15. Install zip from external card: Oma RK30 CM10.1 Format NAND.zip
16. Reboot.
17. Wait 5 minutes.
18. Once the tablet starts, select your prefered launcher, hit 'immer' (always).
19. Set the language to English:
- Hit the setting icon, 'Systemeinstellungen',
- Scroll down to 'Sprache & Einabe',
- Set 'Sprache' to your desired language.
20. Turn on and set up WiFi:
- In WiFi, toggle 'on'
- Hit the setting icon
- Select advanced
- Set keep WiFi on during sleep to Never (or Only when plugged in at least) to save battery
22. Fix landscape menu buttons not appearing
- Go to play store, sign in.
- Install Textdroider DPI from play store
- Set DPI to 120.
- Apply.
- Reboot.
Unresolved Issues:
- Wifi takes a few seconds to connect from sleep
- camera (front facing only) is upside down
- display artifacts on screen rotation
Troubleshooting:
Problem: If you get stuck with installs the loop you back to recovery constantly, you probably have CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.5. This recovery does not work with the original Pipo S1 kernel.
Solution: Use recovery 6.0.3.1 with kernel RK3-_kernel_308_s1_pipo
Problem: You find yourself stuck in recovery with no way to power off
Solution: Select a menu item, highlight ++++Go Back++++, when you press the power button, do not let go until tablet powers off.
Hopefully this helps others with a Pipo S1 get Oma's CM10.1 v1.3.2 installed.
Pimp My Rom (included in rom) has DPI change in it, no need to load another app from store just to do that.
