i don't know, what do you mean by effect on the led?
I got my tab yesterday, could not try it out very long, but i don't think that there are any effects. neither on the battery as on the led itself...

1st congratiolation about the new device
what i mean the app will have sideeffect on battery life + button life in future ( maybe wont work after a while )

thx
the button itself with the touch function has nothing to do with the backlight... so the button will work anyway.
about the battery life, well i think the LED will take less than 1% of the hole akku.... so i guess nothing to worry about...
i hope i can post the app today... there are still some bugs but i am working on it.

thank you man and good luck

FIXED

Now it is almost working here
The only bug I can see now with sms is it blinks irregulary after the screen goes black.

Here, it stops blinking when the screen is turned off (and resumes after turning the screen again on) and the backlight of the softkeys keeps off for afterwards some time (30 secs or so) although it should turn on as the Tab is used.
Beside, the backlight is NOT activated when the screen is turned off (although I would see there a major use case as that would be the reminder to have a look at what was received).

Nice work! Could you please add the ability to control the buttons backlight timeout?
Or at least let me know what has to be edited to change the timer?

You can change the sleep time in the settings... just open the BlinkerTab app and click menu->settings

The normal user doesn't have the permission to access the file that the app needs to turn the led on... ;-)
But currently i can't get the app to work like it should, so you don't miss anything...

i'm hoping in future anyway... Great work djbrutale!

[APP] LeoExtendedNotifications, blink keypad on missed call, sms, email, more [v0.92]

At request of the people in this thread, I made a small app that blinks the keypad when there are notifications.
If you also use KeypadLedControl, you may get some irregular blinking during notifications. Nothing serious.
Features
- Blink keypad on: unread sms, unread mms, unread e-mail, missed calls, reminders (if rom supports it), voicemail
- Configurable via registry & seperate Config application
- Notification timeout after X seconds (300=5min by default)
- Stop notifications after unlocking the phone (only works on compatible lock screens)
- Temporarily stop notifications during phone call
- Configurable blinking sequence (also per notification type)
- Configurable time between repeating sequence
Changelog
v0.92
- Some small fixes by 3dfx
v0.91
- Hopefully fixes issue where keypad wouldn't blink on notifications if there were no specific sequences for that notification type configured (in registry)
v0.9
- Added configuration application
- Popups now automatically close again after a second or so (except for errors, they stay)
- Added nicer icons in start menu/sense (if you're using WM6.5+, might require device restart)
v0.3 to v0.8
- App configurable via registry
- Add support for reminder and voicemail notifications
- Notification timeout after X seconds (300=5min by default)
- Stop notifications after unlocking the phone
- Temporarily stop notifications during phone call
- Configurable blinking sequence (also per notification type)
- Configurable time between repeating sequence
Additional credits
Big thanks to 3dfx. He added a lot of features as you can read throughout this thread.

i am also a little bit worrying about eventually led malfunction when using it all the time.
however i would like the idea to be able to configure a notification timeout.
imagine you get a mail late night and the leds would permanently flash until next day.
best regards, Olioaglio
Thank again Netripper.
Nice addition. Thanks. I see Disable notifications after X minutes is at the top of your todo list. That's fine by me
Really hope Disable notifications after X minutes are made fast

I'm not really worried by that. I think they're regular LEDs and they have an awesome long lifespan. Also the light doesn't really look bright, so I think the leds are very far from being stressed. Although I don't guarantee anything (obviously), I'd be very surprised if any keypad light would break because of this.
I have a little problem here!
I just put your program in my startup folder and now it blinks all the time, although I don't have any missed calls, unread SMS, MMS or email.
What's wrong here?
Already deleted all my messages just to be sure
EDIT: Oh wait, now that I have gone in my call history, it suddenly stopped.
Strange...
Thank you for this great app NetRipper!
thanks to Netripper I don't need the green led to flash any more but can't turn it of tried to turn it off in BSB tweak but it still flashes anyone know the reg to disable?
Works like a charm, thanks!
Very cool.
Cheers mate
just email?
Is it also possible to have just the bar flashing for email only?
Nothing else?
since that is the only notification that isn't working at the moment..
Thanks.
Works Fine.
Thanks.
Hi NetRipper. I have a Touch Diamond 2 (Topaz). When I run the LeoExtendedNotifications_calls_sms_email.exe program, my LED's blink continuously even though I have no notifications of missed calls, emails or SMS's. I have tried the trick by xILukasIx of visiting my call history page, but this has no effect.
I have a WM6.1 stock rom and (if it makes any difference) I use Phonex (which I prefer) and so have my HTC dialer disabled to save ram.
I would love your program to work on my TD2 if possible!
Thanks
Edit:
I think I have solved it now. I created a mortscript to run your program NetRipper. So far, I have managed to do this with emails only. My mortscript goes:
NOTIFY = RegRead (HKCU, "System\State\Messages\totalemail\Unread\", "Count")
If (NOTIFY = 0)
Sleep (2000)
Run ("Program Files\Mortscript\LED.mscr")
EndIf
If (NOTIFY >0)
Run ("Program Files\Mortscript\LeoExtendedNotifications_calls_sm s_email.exe")
Sleep (2000)
Run ("Program Files\Mortscript\LED.mscr")
EndIf
Obviously I have put the above mortscript in the Program Files\Mortscript folder and called it LED.mscr. I have also put your program into the same folder.
Thanks again for your program - I really like the outcome!
Edit 2: No, it doesn't work.... Any ideas anyone???

Excellent
This feature - wakelock during phone call only, for lazy proximity sensors out there - is exactly what I was looking for when I placed the request to the dev. :highfive:
I can't do this, but this NEEDS to be somehow linked to the thread Re: Proximity sensor issues for SGS2 users. IDK if I am allowed to link to a different thread on this forum, I will leave this to the moderators/op.
Excellent work, darken. And thank you again for listening.
Just uploaded 2.1 to fix some inconsistent behavior.
If you this helps other people, just post the link of this thread in the other one, you are allowed to .
Mods usually don't look through the threads unless they are flagged/reported.
Dear Darken,
I am sorry to contact you, I can't find "wakelock during phone call only", I have V2.1 downloaded a few minutes ago. I have a broken proximity sensor so currently screen goes blank and can't get it back.
regards
ANDREW
Check the options menu .
Thank you
I have an HTC HD2 running Android 4.04 2.6.32-ics_tytung_HWA_r3.
I have tried all combinations from "NO_LOCK" with "Acquire/release lock before/after call" set on and off to "FULL_WAKE_LOCK" with "NO_LOCK" with "Acquire/release lock before/after call" set on and off. And it appears that the first call I make holds the screen on (which it what I need), but if I terminate...and made another call the screen does not stay on.
I know I'm not a techy, am I doing something stupid?
All I need is for my screen not to go off during a call. Can you help?
Regards
ANDREW
If you aquired the wakelock before, then make a call and drop it, it will release the wakelock previously held.
I might write a patch to check if the wakelock was active before making the call and then not releasing it afterwards.
edit: but in that case you wouldn't need the call aquire/release setting anyways and could just turn it off... won't change that then
At least on my Galaxy Nexus, the screen turns off if i cover the proximity sensor.
So it seems the proximity sensor overrides the wakelock behavior.
Thank you for this.
I am using it to stop SODs on my Iconia A100.

G2x-temasek CM7 build135.4 w/faux 054 kernel
Thanks for this app, It's partially working in my Nexus 7. The big problem is that the physical buttons (power an volume) don't work anymore!! even after reboot (to reboot I had to install a widget that includes a reboot button). No matter what configuration (NO_LOCK or FULL_WAKE_LOCK) they don't answer. Although KeynumberTracker app detects when they are pressed. Tried unnistalling Wake Lock, also didn't work.
The device is rooted with this script and it has Android 4.2. Previously I installed ButtonRemapper (just in case you think it can be a conflict with it) which anyway doesn't seem to work in nexus 7.
WakeLock has nothing to do with buttons, working or not.
In that regard, it might be able to keep the screen on so you wouldn't need a power button.
is it OK on Lollipop
Will this still work with the new Lollipop v5.1
Deep sleep = no Push. Fixed with this app.
OK I can now answer my own question: Yes it does
-with Lollipop v5.1.1 and its new Doze & ultra Deep Sleep, Push was disabled until I installed Wakelock - Power Manager.
My Note2 lte with its Wifi on and connected and mobile data off, has a habit of going into deep sleep after several hours of no interaction and no movement for the proximity sensors to sense, then only phone calls and texts can wake the phone up; WhatsApp messages, WhatsApp calls, and Emails, do not get through at all until I wake it up, OK the battery life is fantastic but I would prefer that I could be contacted by i.e. WhatsApp when I haven't been to my phone for hours. And yes I have installed Push Notification Root (PNF) but this is not the answer for me.
Deep sleep no Push; is fixed by using this App. and putting it to partial wake lock. :highfive:
Good app, thank you!

Why don't just give it a try and let me know? The app does not require any internet/location permissions like other apps.

On nexus 4 the shake on feature makes it feel like a real battery operated flashlight in that it turns off if you shake it slightly too. There should be a minimum on length when shaken and possibly a setting allowing you to define that. I like it though good job.
Any chance to use the screen of the phone as the flashlight? That way it can sit on the fatboy pillow and charge and can be used as a night light for my daughter.

hi
working good on galaxy s3 4.2.2
Doesn't seem to work very well on Xperia Z.
Double clicking the Turn on button in the middle creates a FC.
Shake doesn't work with Stamina (expected though)
Had to reboot after turning off stamina to make it work aswell, Shook my phone like 5 times to get it to work.
But this looks great. Looking forward for future updates.
Wow! that's cool! Thanks!
Looks cool, will have to try it out.
It works great, except: 1) the Report Bug button was half hidden on my LG Optimus Vu 2 1024 x 768 screen, 2) not responding to the back button to exit.
Works on my Evo LTE except for the auto function.
I appreciate the feedback and thank you for everyone who downloaded my app. I'm working on bug fixes. Expect updates in the near future

Notification LED testing?

I dont own the phone as of yet since im waiting for the 256gb 8gb ram version to be released in the USA but....
Can someone please test all available notification LED apps on the google play store and tell if 1) any of them works, and 2) which colors are supported?
Thanks in advance
Would like to have the information being requested by jinkerz9430 and also want to know whether the LED notification light keeps flashing until the notification is dismissed or if it stops after a short while.
Testing all available led lighting app is a big ask.! I don't have time for that, but I can confirm the light keeps flashing until you open the phone lock and notification is considered read.

Asus BUG => Notification LED is not working anymore
Notification LED? What Notification LED?!
Notification LED is working for one app (telegram) after a factory reset with green blinking - but after activating gmail - all LED notifications are now gone and I cant find a way to bring the LED notification function back to work.
Now there is only the red LED while charging but no LED notification on my ASUS Zenphone 6 (8GB // 256 GB) , that function is gone. I bought a a sperate app (LED Blinker) - same result.
I really like that LED notification function and missing it is really disapointing and annoying!
In settings it is activated (I can not upload a small videofile to show the difference of the LED notifications between my Samsung note 9 and that asus zenphone 6)

Charge battery notification & Sound

Hi everyone, my OnePlus7Pro suffers from the lack of an audible warning when charging and when it is removed from the charge when the phone is " on " it has no message or sound when the battery is 100% charged. For this I have created a simple Apk with tasker to install without root permissions on all OnePlus7Pro that solve this lack. It should work even when the screen is off . If you want to try it, you are free to do so. There is a button in the menu to disable the popup service and the sound but the notification is always running to work. The only permission to give is "storage". Tell me if it consumes a lot of battery and is worth keeping it installed. My goal is to "share" this simple solution with some users who know no solutions .. Consider it a test for now.
Updating 14/07/2019 :
Try this new version. I changed the skin of the popup. I added the vibration . I added the button to activate only the acoustic notification without the popup but only when it is charged and removed from the charge.
Updating new version Full 1.0 / Full.57.apk
18/07/2019
This is a much more complete version. The recharge sound is present when the power is turned on and when it comes off. There is popup, sound, I added the LEDs to the screen off. I added the possibility of using the desired profile on 4 different profiles, the possibility of disabling all the LEDs and all the profiles in case you don't want to use anything. Other little things you need to try on the menu. If you don't use the navigation bar it will be seen in full screen. Tell me if everything works, in the other case I will try to fix it.
* 11/08/2019 *
New version: full.68.apk
"most stable version"
Installation :
Give access to memory as usual and "allow change system settings"
Redesigned smaller LEDs, battery icons with percentages (I think it's more tasty to the eye). In PROFILE 4 Every 25% of charge there will be the display of the battery and an acoustic signal "red 25%, Orange 50%, Yellow 75% and Green from 75 to 100% . Now the screen does not turn off when it is added to the AC recharge. The suspension of the screen will increase the duration to allow the application to work well otherwise the LEDs and icons will be disabled, then everything will return to normal as soon as you remove the AC charge. Now there is a button to prevent the LEDs from being seen in the dark if you have enabled automatic brightness. When profile 4 is running you can activate the screen with a touch on the display. On the menu I tried to give as many explanations as possible and excuse my English if it's not good.
I'm glad to hear from you if you liked it and everything works well. As I said before I can solve if you point out the bugs.
Hi
Amazing idea and indeed it's usefull, I'll test it and let you know.
Hello, thanks for sharing! Do you mind sharing the profile itself?
A few weeks ago I tried doing the same but I was stuck with Tasker not vibrating when the phone is in silent mode.
From what I've heard Oneplus will "fix" this in next updates.

It should vibrate the same even with silent. Perhaps in the next version I will add vibration when removing the USB cable from the power supply and when the popup will appear. Contact me in private because this is an apk, it's not a Tasker discussion.

I'm doing another much more complete version. There will also be the LED, the LEDs based on the percentage of the charge and vibrations when the power is disconnected and attached. There will be 4 profiles to choose from.
Added Full version on the before page. Try it ?
Okay :good:
New most stable designed version loaded in 1st page.
