Does DHD fits on the Official HD2 Pouch ?? - Desire HD Accessories

Hello guys,
I'm asking this cause I know there's users from the DHD that were HD2 users and probably some has a oficial HD2 pouch and is using it on the DHD or at least knows if it fits or not...
I prefer the HD2 pouch cause the DHD pouch has a sleeve to take out the DHD from the pouch and I think that with time the sleeve is going to be a bit loose from the pouch... don't you think??

yeah it fits, i have both. it only sticks out a little bit in the end but thats not a problem for me because i can get it out easier that way.

And esthetically, on the DHD pouch, do you like the fact that the sleeve tab even when the DHD is inside the pouch, gets a bit loose?!?

For me that was the major point why I got the HD2 pouch, and I am happy with my decision so far.

hmm i read somewhere to not use the HD2 pouch because it fits too tight. But you guys think otherwise?

Mine is just ok after two days of intensive use, not too tight in my opinion.

I'm reading this thread, because i'm interested in cases for DHD, too. In the XDA-Wiki of DHD it is written that
The HTC Desire HD is the GSM version of the USA-only HTC Supersonic also known as Sprint Evo 4G.

If i'm right, the Supersonic (Evo 4G) has, like the HD2, not exactly the same hardware than the DHD and also the case has little other dimensions than DHDs.
So would there be a chance, that (3rd party) cases for the Supersonic will also fit good on DHD, like cases for HD2?
Essentially i'm looking for a good case (perhaps in white colour) for DHD. I think case-mate cases are very popular, but there are still no cases for DHD. Perhaps they're coming soon?!
Because of this, i'll have a look at the cases for HD2 and EVO http://www.case-mate.com/HTC-EVO-4G-Cases/HTC-EVO-4G-Cases.asp4G, but i'm not sure if they'll fit good (and e. g. have the spares for USB-connector etc. on thr right place!).

Looking for the thinnest pouch possible (HD2 reference images attached)

I'm still looking for a good pouch for my Desire... My biggest requirement is that the pouch should not add much to the thickness - what's the benefit of this nice 11mm profile otherwise?
The pouch I used on my HD2 was made of very thin leather, which I got from some East Asian seller on eBay as part of these all-in-wonder low quality charger/silicon-case/cradle/what-not packages for 20€. But the pouch turned out to be very nice quality and as you can see from the attached images - super thin and soft leather. Also the suede inside of the pouch cleaned the screen quite well.
Is there anything like that for the Desire?
.
I use a Belkin parallel case that I had for my Iphone. It doesn't add a lot of thickness. I'm in Australia and got it from a Telstra shop and find that it does the job very nicely.
this will only add 0.2mm additional thickness

got my genuine HTC case yesterday and thats incredibly thin, theres some reviews in the other threads
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/htc-desire-pouch-po-s510-p24295.htm
I have it, it's /very/ thin, I expected it to be much larger but it does the job, is official, and is really thin

Ahha, so you're saying it's thin and made of soft leather? Sounds exactly like what I'm looking for! Is it really black? I read some random buyer review of the HD2 version of the pouch that said it's actually brownish.
EDIT: According to some web sites, this pouch is compatible with both the Desire and the HD2?? How can this be possible - I'm currently using my old HD2 leather pouch and while it fit the HD2 perfectly, it's too big for the Desire...Yes, it was tight in the beginning, and over time it stretched with the HD2 being inside. But doesn't this might mean that the S510 may become too loose for the Desire at some point?
Yeah it's black and made of soft leather.
I think they just made the same model twice with 2 differents size and rebranded it the same
Honestly, for the price... it's great

HTC Desire Case with Kickstand

Hey everyone, I'll be getting the Desire soon and have been shopping for accessories. I'm a bit envious of the kickstand that the HTC EVO has so I've been looking for a case for the Desire that has a built-in kickstand.
So far I've found one from Body Glove, but the kickstand is built into a belt clip, which is not exactly desirable (pun intended).
Has anyone else had any luck finding a case with a kickstand for the Desire?
Get yourself a Crabble Stand
Small and indispensable
Thanks for the reply, I'll look into it. I was just hoping for something built into the case so I didn't have to carry around something extra.
Thats exactly what I'm looking for. Did you find one?
I too would love to find something like this. Having a decent, slick case that doubled as a kickstand would be fantastic. Anybody else have any luck finding something like this?
+1 for this

[Q] anyone interested in the Seidio cases?

Is anyone interested in the desire hd/inspire innocase II cases available soon on seidios website?
Hell yeah! Ditching my problemed captivate and my beloved seidio rugged case and holster for an inspire. Great to know I will be able to get the same case

I got the Platinum case from Best Buy made for the Inspire (it is my understanding that is basically the Seido II Innocase rebranded). It came with the belt clip, which I have no use for. It seems like a very nice case - snug fit, easy to install (little bit more difficult to take off, but not too bad overall), slides easily in and out of my pocket, felt lining on the inside.
Only downside is that it seems that it may not provide the best shock absorption if it was dropped from a decent height, but I'm not going to test it to know for sure.
I've ordered the Speck Candy Shell from AT&T and the Otterbox Commuter for the DHD. I'll see which one of the three I like the best and likely return the other two.
So far though, no complaints about the PT case.
sharkeye.com
Don’t know about that. However, if you really want a super well protected rugged iPhone case, check out those sharkeye cases. They’ll protect your phone from anything especially the screen. It can be found at sharkeye.com.
^ lol (just needed to add that. the rest of the post was because i felt like adding more content to the thread)
I've got the PT case from best buy also. its a nice case but it made it more difficult to press the power button. somewhat difficult to place phone in the holster without 2 hands also.
I swore off Seidio after the blatantly jerked the early HTC WinMo owners around on Car kits. The had a great one for the original HTC Wizard, and then kept feeling the waters for car kits for the successors, without any progress.
Anyway, they make nice stuff, but if they say "it's coming" don't hold your breath...

Hard shell - HTC or other ?

Traditionally I always buy case-mate "barely there" hard shells as they are excellent. but they are also expensive (£14.99):
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Case-Mate-B...3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1308068301&sr=8-3
This is also nice looking one and very cheap:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HTC-SENSATION..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item43a77308ba
I am intrigued by the new HTC HC C620, described as a hard-shell with "tactical" back:
http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=218026&sbadd=218026
Anyone got the HTC HC C620 and can comment ?
Or has other hard shell and has a mini-review ?
many thanks
I've ordered the ebay one on your list, Looks good for the price. It should get here the next couple of days. I'll post a review and photo then.
just received this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360372931979 fits the phone very nice and doesn't add too much bulk at all, only thing I have noticed is it dose not have the 2 tiny pin holes that are located near the bottom of the phone
This one on Amazon looks similar and is even cheaper:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/SENSATION-R...FR7Y/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1308142464&sr=8-3
I went with the Body Glove case here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1PBHB5GGYWDT5SZNM56E
I've noticed a lot of the "official cases" are covering some of the holes on the back towards the bottom. The case-mate has those bottom holes covered as well....
Any update on the holes? Why are they covered?
the case-mate barely there case is exactly what i'm looking for. will it fit a US TMO Sensation 4G, though? i only see it offered on amazon.co.uk and not on amazon.com...

I use one of the PolarMK cases on my DHD. Great little case and fits well.
Dave
that frosted red one IS quite nice. is my TMO Sensation 4G the same dimensions as the one you guys have overseas? or would that case not fit mine because of slightly different height or width?

I have two cases, one a universal leather case that was 10bux and the other "official" case by body glove that you can get from tmo stores, but I got mine from wirelessground.com for 18bux shipped.

I have on order from Expansys the dock (30 some odd days left to ship lol) and the HTC HC 620 on order which will get to me within 2 weeks. I'll post back pics and my first takes on them when I get them.

I had this case for couple of days now, the fit is very nice and as you can see from the picture all the holes on the back are exposed. Also I like the added width to the phone as I found the 16:9 ratio a bit top heavy when using it one handed.
The case have rubberized feel, not so good feel as the Sensation's plastic back, more like the feel of plastic dashboard on average car or the Galaxy SII.
I think I'll keep the phone skinless as I prefer the premium fell of the Sensation and put it on for out door trips.
Could you please post some pictures of that frosted case? It looks cool with the Sensation design. I'm looking either at that, or the barely there, or this one with some acetone cleaning or something:
//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160603692342&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
It looks like it fits the camera area better than the frosted so I'm curious. Not good if it obstructs the flash.
lol I love in the Barely There pic from Amazon that they're showing it with an engineering sample (the upper left E###### code). lol
here's another hard back case which seems to have all the cut outs for the holes on the back of the sensation
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Red-Hard-Back..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item3368b7492c
What are the chances it will fit in a dock with a hard shell on? Anyone tried already?

I bought the case-mate case from Amazon and I love it. Fits great, sturdy enough, feels good in the hands.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but there is a reason why those small holes are on the back of the Sensation.
This Case Mate totally covers up both mic holes....correct? Looks like it from the pics.... That's not good imo.
I called HTC a few days ago and asked about the other holes. From the horses mouth...they said that ideally ALL of the micro holes should be uncovered. Obviously the top and bottom mic holes (also used for stereo recording) and also the antenna rivet holes/air vent holes (straight from HTC support...for what it's worth).
The Body Glove case I got in the retail Tmo store is ok EXCEPT for the fact that it covers those "vent" holes.
Even the HTC branded cases leave those rivot/vent holes uncovered.

Thought I would relay that info... In the end...probably doesn't matter too much one way or the other

[Q] simple htc leather case (like hd2)?

So I swapped my hd2 for a sensation and it really is a great phone, I want a leather sleeve style case like I got free with my hd2 but I just haven't managed to find one anywhere. I'm not old enough to want some belt loop flip top leather case just yet and I really don't want to bulk out the phone with a hard back cover.
HTC don't have anything on their website at the moment and eBay seems a nightmare for good quality stuff of late.
Any help welcome thanks guys.

Here's one on ebay. Not sure its OEM and not sure what the HD2 looks like but the "meteor" case is sold at expansys and ebay and it's just a leather sleeve.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152861&highlight=meteor
Sena cases are the best. I have had several of their sleeves going all the way back to the g1 days.....
The sleeve fits the sensation perfect adds no bulk at all.......
why don't you take your old HD2 case?
That fits very well with the Sensation
HTC actually makes a meteor case for the sensation. I'm assuming you're in the UK or something as your hd2 came with a case. They sell the meteor case over there, they just don't sell them in the usa yet though.
i still have my old hd2's case (still brand new) .. it fits ok but the sensation is a bit taller and sticks out a bit out of the case
The sena case loins good but am wondering how is the quality. Anyone has it?

They're not worth $30. I've had them before for me and my wifes blackberries. I wouldn't recommend them for the simple fact that they're super thin and not worth $30. They're nice, just not $30 nice.
Thanks for the replies, my hd2 case isn't quite right as the sensation is taller. So frustrating I can't find a simple, clean case for sensible money. Shame HTC stopped providing the case with the phones. The hunt continues
Any positive reviews for the sena case? Looks really tempting. I am looking for a simple pouch for the sensation as well...
