I haven't seen neither the Desire nor the Desire HD in reality, but i'm very interested in buying the Desire HD and so i'm looking for a nice case.
Case-mate cases seem to have good reviews in different internet forums, so i hope case-mate will create their barely there case in white for Desire HD too.

Anyone know where i can get a pouch like this for the DHD? Im not looking to get one of those tough leather ones, just one like this where i can slide it in and out with no hassle.

Would an HD2 one or EVO one fit the DHD?
I'm currently using the pouch i got with my HD2, and although it fits, the DHD is slightly taller and just sticks out at the top.
I've ordered a genuine HTC DHD pouch of the same style from eBay for about £7.

I think this is same case that comes with HD2 For the Desire HD you need

i saw that pouch. i dont really like the look. hmm but if the one i ordered is for the HD2, does that mean it won't fit the DHD. The dimensions are very similar arent they?

I found the PO S510 (HD2 slip pouch) to be a pretty decent fit, but not all HD2 cases fit, some are just a bit too tight.

I've just ordered the HTC PO S550 pouch from amazon for £10.95 (inc P/P)- the one with the holes at the bottom and the pull cord. Hopefully it will arrive before/on the same day as my Desire HD !
Although for a phone that is nearly worth half a grand the Desire HD should really come with it's own pouch; just like the HTC Diamond, HD and HD2 did.
But I ordered mine from HandTec who have decided to throw in a free HTC Bluetooth Headset worth £34 (and I happened to order the day before their price went up) so I am happy so far.
And I don't think screen protectors are too important... if the Desire HD has a glass screen like the HD2 then it will be very resistant to scratches (I think)

Not yet, but I am using the one for EVO 4G from www.stealthguards.com. Not a perfect fit, but I got the best results (minimal smudges, no bubbles) for the $2 I spent on this, compared to the $10 I spent on various other screen protectors specifically meant for DHD!
I think they will come out with one for DHD, as it will be launched in the US soon (Telus).
I emailed stealthgaurd the other day and they replied saying they are planning making one for desire hd

Bodyguardz is a good option ..have them on my iPod ..gr8 quality..and no orange peel effect like zagg's..google for some discount coupons..u will get atleast 10% off.
Best part is these guys have a dry apply option ..was really scared to put all that liquid on my DHD..have ordered a full body kit..will take atleast 2-3 weeks to ship to India..will post a review as soon as i get them ..saw some pics of devdef protectors on this forum..didnt look too good on the back of the phone ..so i'm considering a case mate pop case for protecting my DHD's back.

So I swapped my hd2 for a sensation and it really is a great phone, I want a leather sleeve style case like I got free with my hd2 but I just haven't managed to find one anywhere. I'm not old enough to want some belt loop flip top leather case just yet and I really don't want to bulk out the phone with a hard back cover.
HTC don't have anything on their website at the moment and eBay seems a nightmare for good quality stuff of late.
Any help welcome thanks guys.

Here's one on ebay. Not sure its OEM and not sure what the HD2 looks like but the "meteor" case is sold at expansys and ebay and it's just a leather sleeve.

Sena cases are the best. I have had several of their sleeves going all the way back to the g1 days.....
The sleeve fits the sensation perfect adds no bulk at all.......

why don't you take your old HD2 case?
That fits very well with the Sensation
HTC actually makes a meteor case for the sensation. I'm assuming you're in the UK or something as your hd2 came with a case. They sell the meteor case over there, they just don't sell them in the usa yet though.
i still have my old hd2's case (still brand new) .. it fits ok but the sensation is a bit taller and sticks out a bit out of the case

They're not worth $30. I've had them before for me and my wifes blackberries. I wouldn't recommend them for the simple fact that they're super thin and not worth $30. They're nice, just not $30 nice.
Thanks for the replies, my hd2 case isn't quite right as the sensation is taller. So frustrating I can't find a simple, clean case for sensible money. Shame HTC stopped providing the case with the phones. The hunt continues

i just looked through it and found a few black tpu cases that fit the desire and the g7. i looked up what a g7 was and apparently its a chinese knockoff of the desire. they seem to have the same body so i think its fine. they are pretty cheap and they offer free shipping to me in canada.

You may try one from China shop DealExtreme. It is advertised as for G7. But HTC G7 is a Chinese clone of actual HTC Desire. I bought one for my HTC Desire and it fits quite good. I cannot post direct links, google for "dealextreme htc g7 silicon case". But it is not glossy.

Is the Incipio one better in your opinion?
The incipio is thinner and i like cases that are less bulky, these have an awesome design but they look like there gonna add some bulk to the sensation I really wouldn't mind trying out both cause the trident one also cuaght my eye and it looks like it would protect the phone better than the incipio...so there's always pros and cons but in my opinion If I had to choose only one I would most probably go with the incipio...

I bought the case too!
I have already received my Trident Aegis case for the Sensation. It is definitely thinner than I had originally thought. It has a cover for the micro-usb port and the head phone jack. The rubber definitely protects the four corners of the phone. My phone fits perfectly inside of it, and I haven't noticed any stretching with the silicone case. My only real complaint is where the usb port is covered the silicone is really thin and could potentially rip. Other than that it is a wonderful case and well worth the purchase.
