Hi I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is a 2.2 update for the Motorola Milestone XT720 or if somebody has made a custom rom with 2.2.

hey, I just got a milestone 2 recently. I'm new to this, so sorry if there's a post bout this. I was wondering whether milestone 2 can use the roms that are meant for droid 2 ? aren't they the same phone? thanks in advance!
nope! Won't work and if you try you will probably brick the phone.

Actually, if you only want 2.3 for it's looks like the crt animation, you can look at molohov's cm6. It has that animation built in. Its in mioze's thread. Second/third last page I think.

Actually J.Y daddy have some 2.3 builds like cm7 and ho!no! Rom... but it is for motoroi not for milestone... so you can read and flash the motoroi sbf and later the 2.3 rom of your preference

The for cm9 for milestone xt720 is dead.
Also milestone xt720 lacks the ram for it to work good.
