I don't know, have you tried pulling the .apk from the ROM and installing it on donut? I highly doubt it will work, but worth a try.
Please post questions in Q&A next time.

Im a bit gutted the only thing thats worked is the boot animation and i did everything properly
going to restore my backup and see which 3.5 theme worked perfectly and use that as the main thread,anyone on 3.5 here?

when you set that already on your pc, just start "ddms.bat" in \android\android-sdk-windows\tools\
plug your x10 - click on your phone id - and then "device" > "screen capture"
thats it

As i've been reading the i9003 forum and noticed that You Sakindia, are a developer there also. And did put an eye on that they already have CyanogenMod7. Is possible for you to ask them if they're capable of porting one for the i9001?
