the european/asian version of the SGS i9000 has a build in front facing camera out of the box, why didn't you get that one instead?

He's from the Netherlands, why wouldn't he have the European version? Maybe he just wants to replace his broken etc. screen and/or camera?

Ok im gonna say something very stupid but i wanted to replace my x10s screen and light sensor by ff camera. But I did something smarter i bought a SGS XD

my front camera will not come on it looks as if the camera was disable. can you tell me how to enable it?
it would help if you gave us some more info. What phone? what carrier? what android version? Are you rooted?

Hello everybody
I just bought the N5 32GB version, but I thought it would be possible to have the S4's camera app on this device since it has more functions than the n5's stock camera app. I woukd also be interesting to have the dual camera function in order to take two pics simultaneously (front and back camera). Playstore don't offer much, or are not comparable with the s4 camera. May you tell me where to download it or if there is a special version for ours n5?

Won't work, uses Samsung's proprietary framework. Some alternatives you can look at include Focal in the play store, and a few developers here are working on an LG G2 port and a Lenovo port. I can't believe how bad the stock camera has gotten which each android update. Google keeps removing settings and customization options. Why in the world do they think the end user only wants to change one setting at a time? I really dislike how the settings close as soon as you make one change.

I don't have an alternative unfortunately. The stock camera app may not have too many features, but it serves all my purposes well.
Snap Camera seems fine, but it doesn't have as much features as S4, unfortunately.
In s3 never Achieved the port. Here I see impossible.

Hi, I know many of XL users have the problem that their camera just at once went down and doesn't work anymore. Well, I have a question around that.
My friend has a xperia M, she is almost fully broken (screen and lcd doesn't work after a hard fall) and I wondered how would it be to replace my camera with his. I know the XM has a 5mpx and XL 8mpx, I'm just wondering would that be possible? Or just the flat cabel to replace if it fits.
Any ideas are wellcome.

Hi guys. I was wondering if someone with a rooted device could answer me this. So, since the A8 has no live focus on rear camera, I wonder if it's possible activating it just by adding the same lines of the selfie camera on the camera-feature.xml file on the rear camera section.
Maybe Samsung could have disabled this. Since like the S8 has just one camera and got the live focus. I don't know, maybe the software really don't support it and I could be wrong.

I have tried that. I get F.C. error specialy when I touch the screen and the camera U.I. is getting slower.

Oh that's sad. Btw, thanks for the answer. Guess I'll have to wait till someone make an workable GCam for the Android pie.
Anyone have any recommendations on a backup camera ??? I bought a eRapta ERT11 Backup Camera which said it was a 720hd camera but the color and the picture was just washed out and not sharp at all i honestly hate it every time i look at it. so if anyone has any they would recommend and love let me know
