Music thru mono bluetooth earpiece - Captivate General

is there a way that i can listen to my music thru my mono bluetooth earpiece. I am currently using a motorola h270. thanks

ive done it with my lg shine(yes a shine) dont see why not

Well I have been looking into this as I come from windows mobile I loved this feature. Since super BT mono does not work I have found a work around but its not the Best. So basically you call a number that has a long automated message like a movie theater for movie times or something else and put the phone on hold then just play music or video, I was testing it with slingbox and it worked great. However the samsung video player does not let you play when the phone is on. If someone can think of a number that gives us a long message that would be great.

Nokia bh-501 stereo bluetooth headset

hey guy,
I'm having problems getting this thing to work properly, i've searched and searched and can't seem to find anyone else with this problem:
Device pairs fine and seems to function perfectly as a handsfree, however, using media player the audio comes out of the phone even as the 'click' sound effects are coming out the headset! Can't seem to get any audio from media player or core player to come out the headset, the 'htc streaming media player' uses the headset but you can't open files etc using that.
I've tried with WM5 and WM6, same results.
Anyone faced this problem before?
Hi
I've just purchased this headset last week and am thoroughly impressed by it so far. There's not much info on it out there but theres a few characteristics I've found out about this headset; i wonder if you can help me confirm them.
- It seems like when you take the headset off your head it automatically turns off? at first I thought mine was faulty but this behaviour was quite consistent and I figured it was just a power saving feature.
- seems like it likes to turn by itself if idle quite fast.
- need to manually set the device as hands free for it to actually work as a hands free
- unable to use the mic when connecting to pc. I wanted to use it for my sip client on the pc but alas the microphone function doesn't register? What should I be doing to make this work?
In regards to your problem; I'll outline the steps I take to use mine.
1. turn on headset
2. turn on trinity bluetooth from comm manager
3. go to bluetooth settings from settings
4. touch and hold down the nokia bh501 item until the drop down menu appears ,then select "set as wireless audio" or similar
--> you should hear a sound, if you can hear this then it will work, if theres nothing
--> alternatively, select hands free if you want to use it as hands free!
5. open your favorite mp3's and it should work fine.
Does this work for you? Btw im using Mun's TE wm6 rom. What rom are u using?
Eureka!
Your post made me realise I had only tried the headset with AAC files and not MP3 and guess what? The headset only works with MP3 files! Although this is probably a limitation of the trinity.
I can also confirm it doesn't work with nerodigital video files.
I'm using the GPS enabled WM5 Ship ROM.
I'll do some more tests on different media files, it would be a real shame if we're limited to only MP3s...
EDIT: Wow the sound quality is amazing and the bass is fantastic!
I haven't tried playing AAC files because I haven't got any...I specifically converted all my formats so I could use GS player. I'm pretty sure the headset can play WMA as well..I haven't really tested...
The next thing I notice is this constant high pitch ringing or hissing sound...It's very uncomfortable.
I've seen reports of this all over the forum in regards to the Triity, let's hope there is a fix available soon.
wma file work.
i have wm6 and a motorola ht820 and it works great. the only thing is that the perfomance of the trinity decrease while i'm using the bluetooth-headset.

Bluetooth and the S9HD

Ive had my Verizon TP2 for almost a week now. I havent activated it yet because Im waiting for a case and screen protector. In anticipation of my TP2 I purchased Motorola S9HD Bluetooth headset. I paired it up with my VX6800 and it works awesome. It has great sound and all the features work with Voice Command as well as Media player. With my last headset I had trouble with VC hearing what I was saying but with this set I could speak softly and it picked it up with no troubles. Folks on the other end of my calls say I sound great even while driving in my car.
Now for the TP2.
After using it for several days I paired it up with my TP2 just to play around with it. Holy HELL!! Its terrible! Voice Command asks me over and over to repeat myself and still doesnt hear me. I cant pause or skip to the next track after I manually start either of the two media players. What a load of crap. Please tell me the phone gods here are working on a new stack for this thing. PLEASE!!
I have the same headset and mine works. can you go into the bluetooth settings and make sure sterio audio is connecting. I had a issue with the headset not working with coreplayer originally when i found out that this half of the connection wasnt connecting at first.

which media player are you using? core did not work well for mine though it had louder volume, but winmo player worked perfectly
I havent installed any new apps on it yet so I was using Windows Media Player. In Bluetooth settings it shows that both Hands Free and Stereo Audio are connected. I will try to delete and pair them up again.
Yay! Paired it up again and now its working.
Voice Command is still not hearing me though
Is there a mic setting somewhere that I need to turn up?
Audio Dropout / glitches on S9HD
S9HD audio via "sprint music player" dropouts all the time...wouldnt pair to other LG phone so wonder if anyone is experiencing it. Will try other apps...
PS-pause, tk chg, vol & call answer work OK...Not using VC yet.

Open network stream

Hi all,
I found out how to stream audio from PC to an android device. The problem is my jack cabel is not long enough to reach my receiver and I would like to stream the audio over to my HTC Sensation with android 4.0. This is working, however with a delay of like 10 seconds. When I'm watching a movie for example this is worthless ofcourse, you can of course set a delay in VLC but when I'm listening some music I don't want to have to wait 10 seconds for a song to begin to hear if I like it. Gmote is not working for me unfortunately. Also I tried every possible app, either not working or having a delay. The search function didn't bring me so much either. The problem with VLC is that is has to transcode the audio from my PC to MP3 which takes some time. But with a bluetooth headset for example the audio is directly streamed to your earplug, I want to learn how to achieve that with PC->Phone.
My main question:
How to stream your PC audio output to your phone without delay?
I'm not here to argue with you about why I would want to do that, if you came here to tell me to sort my music out in front and then make a playlist and accept the 10 seconds delay and set the delay in VLC to 10 seconds to compensate, please don't respond. I want to browse youtube and instantly hear any audio over my receiver. Also, DO NOT tell me to get a longer jack cable, cause I can't bother other people here with cables going around the whole room. I know this sounds very unkind, and I'm sorry for that, but I have to be very clear because people always respond to my threads like "Ah dude, stop worrying about it, just do it the easy way and accept the delay etcetera".
Thanks in advance

Stream music from phone to Gear S3

Hello,
I have searched and searched over the web for an way to stream music from my Galaxy S7 to my Gear S3, and the only response that pops up is 'how to transfer your music' or 'how to use your gear to control music playing from your phone', which isn't what I want. For one thing, the amount of music could never fit on my gear, and secondly what if I need to put my phone away or its in another room and I'd like to play the music through my watch speakers? If anyone could help me with this in any way, I would be very grateful.
P.s. oh, and if anybody knows a way to use the phone to play gear music (I.e. making the phone a Bluetooth receiver), that would be amazing.
Thanks, Gavin
Using the music app, you can choose the source to phone or watch (top right icon). This works as long they're within Bluetooth range.
Well, yes, but when changing the music source to the phone, the music plays from the phone itself rather than from the gear's speakers, which is what I'm looking for

Were u able to find the solution for this? When i first got my watch somehow it played from the watch but now its just back to the phone speaker.
Sadly not, as no one can either come up with a reply or take the time to help.
I've noticed that some times when i listen to music on my phone(native player or even spotify) and it gets a call, the music stops (like it should) . When I'm answering using my watch, the music player starts to play again via the watch speaker. So i hear both the other party and the soge playing simultaneously . The other party isn't aware of this and can't hear this funny streaming combination. So technically it's more than possible.
I once listened to "family of the year - hero" and my mom called, when she said "hello" the music started to stream again and the singer told my mom "let me go, i don't want to be your hero". =)
what about this?
any solutions?
I used gear s3 with iPhone 6s before, I was able to stream anything to watch's speaker.. because iPhone was connecting with the watch with 2 different type of bluetooth connection. one was speaker and the other was watch. iPhone sees s3 as speaker but Samsung does not.. wtf?
Exactly, first time when i got watch i was able to play the song from mobile in either phone speakers or gear speakers. I got a music update after which i am able to only switch music source but not audio source
I'm also interested in finding a solution for this. It should definitely be technically possible.
What I've discovered so far...
So I finally sound the "three dots" on the side app which only appear for me when streaming from the watch itself. Then it plays from the watch speakers with the option to stream to headphones . Still not understanding how to stream from the phone to watch speakers though. This is really silly no? I know I've done it before. You'd think Samsung wod have the answer somewhere... Perhaps it's an effort to get you to buy music on their platform rather than streaming from a third party?
Gear s3 is underwhelming
I bought this watch thinking samsung products can do everything I'll be satisfied. Then realized shortly after that many functions which should be obviously desired and easily accomplished are simply unavailable. I really wish samsung would enhance their current gear watches because this crap is rediculous.

Song id over Bluetooth not showing

When I connect to my car (Volvo) with this phone and play music it just says 'streaming' on my car's display.
Usually it showed track number artist time etc..
Any idea why or how to fix?
Tried to switch to 1.3 instead of 1.4 in the settings but no luck.
I don't have phone but I use BT with music, podcast, audiobooks etc streaming to my car. Have you tried a different music player?

I got the phone two days ago, and also have a Volvo, so I know how convenient it is to see the track title and artist in the car display when using Bluetooth to stream audio. I'll see what mine does later today and let you know how that goes. Hope to get it working!
EDIT 3/9: Paired the phone to my Volvo and it took a while, but connected just fine. Went to media and played music in Youtube - it displays the youtube name in the Volvo screen. Used VLC to play some music from the device, got the artist and track name in the Volvo display also, so no problems here so far. Haven't tested it with other media players yet (I like to use blackplayer). So if you don't see the media info, what player are you using?
I use 'youtube music' and the screen just says 'streaming' oh and the name of.my phone
What happens when you use other apps? Have you tried deleting the device from the bluetooth paired list on the Volvo and pairing it again?
All apps just say 'streaming'.
I tried now to put bluetooth profile on 1.6.
But I can't test it I'm on holidays now..
