interesting that they all are back ordered until the end of June.
I think the Expansys and the "Original" from HTC are the same....and on the HTC Homepage they say "......expect shipment in 15 working days....." .....so its correct that they are back ordered until the end of June.............

Did you call the customer service of Samsung? That's my plan at least (when I'm finally getting one in a week or two)
There has to be an extra cover to buy somewhere - at least in cases like yours. I guess the chances are pretty good that Samsung will offer you a replacement, if you would call them.
I own the 16GB Omnia 7 from T-mobile Deutschland (bought it 2 yesterday at a store) and it does not have any hardware branding. On the battery cover there is "Samsung" (written vertically) and "Windows Phone" (written horizontally on the bottom end of the cover).
"T-Mobile" or "Telekom" does not appear on the whole device once, apart from the splash screen on boot.

I called HTC after dealing with tech support about poor signal quality and was refereed to repair. I gave them all my info and told them that I have read that many people with poor signal quality have had improved signal with a new back cover and asked if I could get a new one and she told me that 1 of each accessory is covered under warranty. I didn't ask what all the accessories are because I only needed the back cover. I wonder what exactly is covered.

Sweet. I didn't see it. I don't have any of that stuff other than the battery but I don't need it. I certainly am not going to abuse the system but I think it's important that people know they don't have to make up stories about peeling back covers. Just ask for the part and it's covered. The HTC lady kinda jumped at the opportunity to make me happy.
I-ll go to Vodafone today with same problem. Signal and creacky back cover. I hope won't take 10 working days.

i droped mine on Vodafone store today. the best news are : the phone is under warantee for 24 months when you buy it from Vodafone so its enough time to fix my signal. i mean i-ll send it on 20 times if is necesarry but i dont accept a smartphone what cost 10 times more then Vodafone V858 to be owned by V858

when you see a 30eros phone having 2-3 bars EDGE signal on low signal area and your 500euros phone have NO SIGNAL .... its frustating

I mailed the support in Sweden and told them that my backcover have started to become creaky, they said I should send it to the reseller so they can repair it.
I've seen some people getting replacements by just asking, should I stand on myself so I can get a replacement backcover?
Maybe referring to some part of the warranty agreement?

my opinion its ... htc was traying hard to get Sensation on the market
was Pyramid first and supose to come with 15 Megapixels camera but they got a problem with that camera and was renamed Sensation and come with the same camera what Desire HD have i think
another think is they want to emploee an RF Specialist (RF=Radio Frequency)
so at any time i-ll get 2-3 cheap phones with me and i-ll enter to an area/elevator/basement shops and i-ll prove HTC Sensation is the first phone who lose signal when another phone have 2 bars signal and you verry confortable can have a phone call. Until HTC Sensation will have an decent signal, mime will be sent to warantee so manny times will be necesary
i have over 5 phones (N95, E51, E52 Vodafone Smart and an LG) so i can wait for a good htc sensation

Hmm...seems they are having issues with getting the back cover shipped. I was supposed to get my replacement by yesterday at the latest, but it's being held up at customs for whatever reason. Just something I thought I'd share.
Which number do I contact to get the back cover? I actually need one but it's not so dire a situation that I can't wait for the back log. Just glad I don't have to send back the entire phone which I haven't had for a week just to get a back cover that fits properly.

i dont know the htc USA number you can find it on htc.com support section, but i think you should contact t-mobile first if you got an phone from them

I just received my back cover today, it took them a week. -- Ijust made a story just to get a spare back cover as at that time I was thinking of using the phone naked but got a case-mate 'barely there' instead, So, I now have a spare cover.

Called HTC Support UK +44 1279 206906 , advised them that I just noticed that my back cover is not catching the locking mechanism. The advisor made a ticket and the next day I received the confirmation from tech support that they're sending me the replacement cover quoting the support ticket. here's the pic..

yes.. check ebay, craigslist. etc.. for a desire hd back plate.. or if you want an att badged one, inspire 4g backplate..
could cost anywhere from free to $40-$50.00 US.
I did the same when i decided to refurbish my wifes inspire 4g.. bought a desire hd backplate... watched some youtube for how-to take it apart.. (your gonna be taking it apart, you can at least to the research yourself.. youll learn more).
30-45 min later i had a brand new inspir.. nvm.. Desire HD
just as geraldf80 said... you'll have to buy it from ebay...

You could just buy a protective cover. That way no one will know the "H" is missing, and you will be less likely to lose the other letters!
try ebay, you may find a back panel for dhd, or just buy a protection case

Even I lost the 'H'.
Have ordered a couple of skins from decalgirl. and an otterbox.
I got the cover off cleanly but the plastic above the flash light LEDs, in the cover, crumbled and broke and i need a replacement.
Does anyone know were i can get one in the UK?

Just purchased a Sensation XE back cover from ebay THIS one to be precise.
Comparing to my old one and it is definetly an original if not an amzingly good copy.
Delivery was surprisingly fast as I ordered it on 27th March and arrived today, I'm in the UK BTW. Surpised as their delivery estimate was 14 days. Was very well packaged too. They've even offered me a £1.20 rebate if I give them 5* feedback. Which I have no qualms with as they were excellent.
