How to log out of Youtube on X10? - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

lol i know this sounds stupid.... but i see no options to sign out no matter how i look...
i even went to the 'manage apps' section to clear data, however it doesnt seem to work.
any imputs would be appreciated

Lol i thought I'd give it a try and i waz stuck just like you were! I did manage to figure a way although not the best of methods. It involved clearing cache and data for google apps. However it did ask me to login to my google account again. It's upto you if you want to try it. Maybe u can just try clearing cache only. Let me know if you decide to try it!
Hope it helps!!

Open Settings, Applications, Manage Applications. Press the Menu button and choose Filters, then All. Look thru the list for Gmail and click it. Clear the cache and data. Do the same to Gmail Storage. Then try again.

I've tried that.
But there is a message prompting that the account can only be remove by resetting the phone factory.
help anyone? thanks..
Try google account dashboard. Info stored on your google account. I recall seeing android devices in there once.
You can clear data from apps management in the market app. That restores it to default but doesn't necessarily log you out.
Try the desktop market... you can log in and out there.... but there's no real hard logout unless you reset.
open market, open menu and logout
what a JOKE!! huh
f you are using your network data with a android phone you cant log out, you dont have nothing like LOGOUT unless you make a factory reset , and never try to log into market again, attention because by doing factory reset you loose all your apps, make a back up before doing that, there is a free app call backup everything
Im guessing this hasnt change in plays maket?
To solve your Problem you have to be tricky!
Go to gmail .com,
and submit a new email...no matter if you will use it in future or not...
After you have submit a new email account on google,
go to your phone to accounts.
Add the new email google acc!
THen you have two!
Next time you start your market, it will ask you which account it should prefer..
Regards.

Why are you wanting to switch?
If you go into Settings >> Accounts and Sync >> Google, there is a Remove Account button at the bottom. No idea if it's what you want, but it's a start.
Hope that helps
Can you add one first then remove other? I know there always has to be one assigned

Adding one first before removing the primary account also won't do anything. You literally can't remove the primary Google account no matter what. I was in the same situation yesterday; the OP is going to have to do a factory reset.
Settings...
I have done this on almost every Android phone without having to factory reset. Havent tried on Sensation cuz I dont have one...yet.
Anyway, how I always did it was go to settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All and look for anything that says "Google".. i.e. Gmail,Google Backup Transport,Google Calendar sync,Google Partner Setup and Google Services Framework. Open up each one these and do a "Clear Data".
Thats it, try loggin in to your gmail and it will ask you to sign in.
You might have to do it more than once though, but it definitely works. Trust me.

No. That only wipes your password to the gmail account for security reasons, so that if someone found your phone and put their sim in it they can't access your account.

[Q] Changing Primary Email Account

I am trying to change the primary email address associated with my phone and don't want to reset my device. I have looked elsewhere and the only solution that would work is to clear the data from the "Google Apps" program. However, that program does not exist on my phone. Does ANYONE know have a workaround to get this to work? I cannot believe that this is a hard-fixed setting!
Thanks
this may help you ....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146967
Cant find the same solution for 9100 yet tho
Have you tried going into gmail >
menu > accounts > add an account. Then just add the account you want to use on your phone.
Then backout to home screen hit menu > settings > account and sync > remove account.
Then just remove or unsync the account you no longer want to use and snyc the new one with google?
You can have multiple accounts.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for the response guys.
@killercownz
I saw this solution somewhere else but first wanted confirmation that it worked and second I don't have root access on the phone. I only have a mac in the house and cannot root from it. I did try for an entire day and could not get it to work. If there was another way to gain root access to that directory to change the name then I would happily try. I am really trying to keep the phone stock at this point.
@Jerry D
Thanks for the response. Unfortunately when I do that it doesn't do what I want it to. I have 3 gmail and 1 exchange account on the phone. I know how to sync all three email accounts while only syncing contacts from one account and then sync calendar from another. What I want to do is to replace the default account that syncs up to gtalk and the marketplace. It seems that the only surefire way to do that would be to do a factory reset. I've cleared the cache on all of the programs, removed accounts, readded them, etc. It seems that the setting is permanent somewhere in the phone. I've even found a program that would allow me to access the original setup program but it crashes (doesn't force close, just exits) every time I try and use it.
I heard that a program called Erazzer can reset the master account. There is free version in the Market. Never tried it myself though.
THANK YOU

This is the perfect solution, thank you! I still have to find a computer to root my phone with but hell, I'm willing to take that chance in comparison to resetting the phone. I can't believe that through all of my searches that this has not been mentioned ANYWHERE!
Thank you!!!!!!!!
Good thread. I learned something today. Thanks guys
@Karmakills
When I first got my phone I didn't have a computer and wasn't knowledgeable/comfortable enough to feel safe about rooting from a friends or families computer. I knew I needed to root though.
What I did was print the step by step instructions off of xda and then went to a nearby computer repair shop. I explained to the guy in there that I wanted to root and gave him the detailed instructions.
He easily rooted my phone using SuperOneClick and charged me $20. Maybe that is something you could do...
I'm a little more knowledgeable now and got a laptop so I do it myself on occasion.
Good Luck with your rooting and modding!

[Q] How to delete/disable my Google app account from HTC Desire S

Hi, Well this appears to be a regular problem with almost all un-rooted Android users. Still, in case anybody could help me out with removing one of my Google App account from HTC Desire S, without actually resetting it. I think there is some way.
I added my third google account, synced it once with Gmail app, later, unchecked the Auto sync button and clicked on Remove account. I was successfully able to remove it. If that can be removed, the first one can also be. Its just that I need to clear some apps cache for this. If any one from XDA (big brainy people) can help us out on this.
Try clearing gmail, talk, and Google account manager
Swyped from a primed Desire S
AFAIK, the account that was used first in initializing the device, can be removed by factory reset only. This is what the phone writes when you're trying, right?

Ya, thats what the phone says. But I registered two google account on it. One professional one personal. it does not allow me to delete any of those. However, when I registered a third account, I could remove that one easily.

Hi,
I am trying the steps as told by you. Lets see if this works.
Gmail: Cleared
Talk: Cleared
Google Play: Cleared
Google Service Framework: Cleared
Cannot find anything like Google Account Manager in the app list.
Kindly help. There is no particular way on this whole internet. lol
I although tried it once in different ways but there was no way to delet the first account. In the end I did a factory reset.
Sorry, but I think it´s the only and fastes way to get the phone clean.
first email account
It does not matter which email account you use Gmail, Yahoo, GMX etc. You can only delete it by doing a factory reset. The first email you enter becomes embedded on the phone.
Thank you guys for your replies. Can you also suggest something I need to take care of before doing a factory reset.

Backup your contacts(if not synced with Google) and SMS using 'super backup'
You are not rooted so can't think of anything else that you could do.
