I'll start, I'm currently having problems with:
SMS Unread Widget -Widgets don't work
Android Agenda Widget - Won't load calendars
Handcent SMS- SMS sends but keeps the progress icon next to it like it is still sending.
Edit: When I rebooted Handcent resent all those ones that it already sent but the progress icon had said that it didnt.
Ringo Pro-wont let me install it.
Also the stock messaging app isnt showing contact pictures but it shows them in the contacts screen.

Pure calendar widget is not working. It seems that calendar API changed and many calendar apps are down.
Smart Keyboard Pro, Paypal, Square, Fandango, Run Keeper, Bonsai Blast are among the few I've noticed missing from the market.

Actually, a lot of apps aren't working properly... still glad to have froyo though and wouldn't have it any other way . I can wait a little while until the app devs update, in the mean time I am enjoying all other aspects of this snappy new update.. very impressed thus far.

No latest version work, the older one with youtube dowloader not
QIK app wont get past the login screen for me.

I had this problem with my corporate email. Worked around it by going into the email app to set it up. Once you enter your email address and password, the "manual setup" option is available, and you can enter all of your settings. It still demonstrates an issue with auto-discovery for exchange though. Or perhaps my company, and your school, just use unconventional exchange server settings.

Just checked my market updates, and there's an official Facebook update in the market (version 1.50)!
It allows push notifications aswell as Facebook chat!

I'm not getting instant notifications either. Chat will come up, but nothing in the realm of push notifications. tested sending from from my wifes account to mine.
chat works great, push notifications doesn't work. still have to check app just for the notifications :/

Okay, a question about chat since I've never had it before through Facebook. How is your online status "toggled" while using chat?
So if I open up the facebook app, and look at my news feed, am I now online? And to go offline, do I physically have to go into facebook chat and click "go offline"?
Also, if I want to be on chat, but have it run in the background, how can I confirm that it's running?
The entire user interface seems very poor. Wouldn't the ability to toggle chat on/off and easily access conversations and your status from the notification bar be essential in this type of app?
notifications works fine for me... kinda odd though since the messages and other stuffs still uses interval... only the posts and such has push.

According to the Facebook page of Facebook for android, push notifications is only supported with android 2.2+

Yeah, I see that. But there's no "Go online" option, is there? So how do you ever know if your online or offline? I don't know, I'm used to Go!Chat. There should be some clear toggle option.
How about for people that never want to appear online?
For example, I just opened up facebook on my phone and hit chat. I guess I'm now online? So now I hit android home. Am I still online? How is there anyway of knowing? Online until when?
It's completely non-functional as a useful mobile chat app.

I've also tried multiple times to close "active conversations", and they keep showing back up on all refreshes. I was looking forward to native facebook chat, but I'll stick with 3rd party apps until they can improve this.
Chat and Push both are working flawlessly on my Droid 2. Rooted but running a pretty much stock OS.
About time they got this one out. Was doing this with a blackberry almost 2 years ago. I am now able to remove about 4 apps that I was running in order to cover my FB account while mobile.

Push notification working good on my evo. I was also using f plus and had it set for five minutes and I'm getting notification quicker with the official app
I download it from market but installation failed. Did I do anything wrong or it is caused by android build on HTC HD2?

is push for notification, or just chat?
I noticed that I never get chat/messenger notifications on the Facebook app. All other notifications come on time. This has been happening all the time. If I use the Facebook Messenger app, then I get chat notifications instantly, all the time.
But I don't want to have two separate apps for it. I've done some searching and I've tried reinstalling the app, but no matter what, I never get chat notifications on the Facebook app.
There were some instances when I did get them though:
1. If I open the app, go to chat, and leave it running in the background (that doesn't even work anymore)
2. If I'm in the app, it simply vibrates twice per message, doesn't even play a notification ringtone that I set for it.
I've tried reinstalling.
I'm using the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2. This problem has existed on every ROM I tried. Right now I'm on stock ROM and kernel, rooted with bloatware removed. But even a fresh stock with no changes has this issue.
Anyone else have this problem?
Everybody has the same problem so don't be surprised. That's the reason why the app sucks!!

ok so it was working a few days back, not anymore.
facebook status updates, made from mobile device, are not showing up on news feed. but its there on my wall. i have tried both FB for Android and Timescape (using SE Xperia Live) for this, and havent tweaked with any settings lately.
any help on this?

my friend mentioned the same issue, but he is on blackberry maybe it is belongs to the recent changes in facebook system itself, not the app.

I tried to install from apk file and I had the same error
I cleared Google play data and cache but error remain
Factory reset bring back Facebook app but can't apply update and can't install messenger

Flash new firmware in flashtool, and select to wipe everything except ssd(internal storage) and you are golden.
Installing Facebook and Messenger automatically adds Facebook App Installer and Facebook App Manager to your installed apps in settings. Interfering these apps might break their updates!
App that works for both Facebook and Messenger for Xperia

I've had the same problem recently with my Sony Z5 after it done the Nougat update (took until recently as didn't want to update it and disabled auto update). Its now July and apps still come up with 505 error messages, but I did find another App that works for both Facebook and the messenger within that Facebook. Its called "Lite for Facebook - Security Lock" (Not to be confused with Facebook Lite which wont work either) and is available on the Google App Store. Down side is it comes up with the odd small advert as you go between screens, but the upside is from there you can access the Facebook and messages within it and is more like the more user friendly Facebook and Messenger from a couple of years ago. Personally I prefer it to the normal Facebook app as doesn't keep telling me to "tell everyone about my day" and it is a far better option than doing a system reboot. I don't get new notification signals on my homescreen, only if I go in the app but that may be because I turn most of mine off anyway. Anyway its free to download and if you want access to both in one app it works and doesn't look like sony intend to fix it soon. Try and decide for yourselves, I have access again to people that use messenger and that's all I wanted (Myself I prefer whatsapp).

I found the solution. Just search for Facebook app manager on apkmirror by Samsung electronics and install the latest version. Now it will work.
Had the same problem for a while.
I resolved it by deleting all facebook related folders in :
Data/app
Data/data
system/app
system/priv-app
And then I could re-install Facebook and messenger
