Pre-orders at Buymobilephones.net?

Has anyone ever pre-ordered/bought anything from this site?
They have an incredible deal which I really want to sign up for if I can't negotiate a similar rate with my current provider -
18mth contract for £30.64/month + 3 months at 1/2 price, it works out to about £505.62 for the whole contract.
That is like buying the phone and getting 18 months of service for free!

But before I take the plunge for pre-order I wanted to see if anyone else had any experience with these guys, like maybe for the sgs2 or DHD?
Thanks!

Bought a Refurbished xpal power case online. How well do they work?

I just ordered a refurbished xpal power cases online. It like $15 shipped to canada so it wasn't as bad as the $75 brand new. The ebay seller sold alot of them and had alot of feedback saying good thanks etc. What do you guys think of them? Lets say if the battery craps out is it possible to replace it myself
My friend had one....
He liked it, but he said the phone felt hot at times, which worried him. He ended up getting rid of it. I have never tried it myself. I believe they work just fine, my friend just didn't like the heat issue. That was a couple months ago though, so maybe they got that straightened out now.

[Q] Help voice sounding muffled

I am EXTREMELLY upset. I have been without an android phone for over a year, in January i finally spent close to $300 on the zte supreme with virgin mobile. I was so happy to get it and loved the size. UNTIL i called anyone or anyone called me every single person told me it sounds HORRIBLE and that they could barely understand me and said it sounded muffled and or far away or the bass was up too high. I spent HOURS on the phone with tech support and took over a month to FINALLY end up getting my money for the phone back. I lost the $50 monthly payment i paid, PLUS had to pay $15 to ship it back. So i assumed it was due to there being NO service where i am at as i never had more then one bar or so. I just ordered another phone the Boostmax which i think is also a zte ,stupid me through boost because of their special for $35 a month and wasnt thinking they are also sprint, but their coverage map showed great coverage here and all over was the 4g too. I just got it and as soon as i got it and set it up before installing anything or doing anything else i made a phone call and what do you know? THE SAME FRIGGIN ISSUe!!
Muffled, through a tunnel. I spent 2 hours with FOUR Different techs in customer service, all told me they have no idea what the issue is and after reading online it seems this issue is a known issue for other types of phones. I was told they could replace the phone and i was like why ? its obviously not the phones issue how can TWO brand new phones have the same issue? i thought it had to be the service here cuz like my last phone NEVER more then ONE bar at my home or outside of it. I am so upset. I do not want to lose out on ANOTHER $15 to ship it back and my $35 payment PLUS have to WAIT over a month to get the money for the phone back. Is there ANY WAY TO FIX THIS? i cannot believe it. I knew i should have gone with metro pcs only reason i didnt was because the phone i wanted wasnt available in the store, and it cost almost $200 more then this one did. I ended with the last tech submitting a ticket and said they would check and see if any tower issues, now if this is a KNOWN issue with phones how do 10 or more techs have no clue about it? ridiculous i am so mad it isnt funny. i have enough issues right now to deal with. They also already told me that i am NOT getting back my monthly payment that i paid! OMG HELP! CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

I actually just figured out the issue. i tried to record my voicemail greeting and kept trying different volumes, speakerphone etc. and finally figured out if i completely cover the ear part of the phone that you can hear callers from it sounds close to normal.OR if i press the phone very hard on my ear then it sounds decent. why is this? how do ifix it? how are brand new phones doing this? ridiculous. i know people who have same phone and it does NOT do this..can it be the area ilive in? because like i said its the 2nd phone this is happening with. but eh other 4 people i live with who have different service and its bad as well NEVER had this issue with the muffled sound.

[Q] Repair Nexus 5 or get Z3 Compact

So my N5 is pretty messed up after the phone was physically bent. It is hardly noticable if you just glance at it but if you look closely it doesn't lie flat on the table when I place it on the screen and you can see glass is actually lifting off of the phone a bit. Now the real issue is the display and the touch response. As you can see in the attached pic, I can hardly see anything on it because of the black vertical lines covering 80% of the screen. For the first few days of using it after the damage, this was the only issue. The other day it started over heating pretty badly while I was using it until it completely drained its battery really fast. In the same day I noticed the glass lifting off (possibly result of the overheating?) and the touch response started getting pretty bad too. Now it randomly reboots a couple times a day.
Initially I thought it was only going to be an LCD replacement but it looks like it'll be more than that. Any phone repair experts have a clue what parts are damaged based on my description or how much I'm looking at for repairs? I'm just hoping it'll be reasonable (250 or less) or else I might as well move on and get a new phone even though I loved this phone.
I know that realistically the cost of repairing these problems are gonna be ridiculous so I've already started looking into different phones. After the announcement of the N6 with the size and price being confirmed I think I'll pass on that. It looks like it'll be the Z3 compact if I decide to get a new phone but I'm just afraid of the non stock skin and there doesn't appear to be any nice stock looking roms for it yet.
Any suggestions on what you guys would do in this situation?
Since it's bent, LG will most probably return it with a message saying it's beyond repair.
After yesterday's announcement, looks like Google has no plans on replacing the Nexus 6 with the 5 (like 7 made way for the 9). So, if I were you, I would probably get another Nexus 5 (may be with a different color). I love stock android and quick updates/tons of development and also the budget is an important factor for me. Hence, I would surely suggest you to buy a n5 again.
Ahh well, it's just me I guess. TBH, no one can tell you what to buy, it really comes down to your liking, budget and what you expect from your device!

Personally, I would never buy a 1 year old phone, but thats me and I always like the latest. The Z3 compact actually looks really good, if you can go down in screen size.

I would exchange my n5 wid a z3 compact any moment. .
I find n5 a bit large ...plus 4-5hrs sot was a downgrade from i9082 which easily touched 7hrs sot...
So if my nexus was damaged ... Z3C would be my choice
I want to send it to LG to repair just to get an idea of how much it'd cost but would they charge me for the shipping and labour of taking it apart to look at it? I won't go through with repairs if it costs too much. I'm rooted and running a custom rom but none of my damages are covered under warranty anyways so I don't know if I still need to unroot before I send it in or anything.
I love the N5 but not enough to buy another one a year after its been out unless someone is willing to sell their mint 32gb for under $250. Like rootSU, I just can't buy a year old phone if I'm shelling out money for a new phone.

I tried that. Unfortunately, Google doesn't like Canadians very much.
US play store purchases only.

I called today about my N5 that went for a swim with me and got the cold shoulder. I'd like to know how everyone is just getting a new device. Are you calling a certain support line I don't know about?

How to get Free used GS4 Batteries

Hey guys
So not too long ago I began to experience issues with my Verizon GS4's battery life. It turned out the battery had died out on me.
I went to best buy to cash in on my free battery replacement but the man at the store told me that there was this type of Samsung "Lounge"
not too far away in soho (I live in NYC). So I headed down there and I gave my battery to the tech support there and they gave me two free ones. No hooks, no only if you buy a new phone, just "here you go here's 80 dollars worth of batteries". I was wondering if anyone else had heard of these strange Samsung lounges that don't sell any products and to share if you live in the greater NYC area you can get free batteries!
Maybe they think your battery was one of those defected ones and are just generous with the replacements. That's unheard of.
