Travel Clock Widget - Hero CDMA Themes and Apps

I am having problems with the travel clock widget (4th choice under htc's clock widgets) in that it never shows the correct time for the current location. Also the colors for the home and current are switched around. Anyone else having these problems or similar ones? Can anyone direct me toward a fix?

Thomas,
This is a known issue (known at HTC). I'd say report it at the HTC website as well, just for more visibility.
Also the colors of the clock have to do with AM/PM, or rather daylight/night, not home and current.

Ok thanks for the info. I went to sprint and they gave me a new hero outright when they couldnt fix it but it still had the same problem. I had not heard anything about it from searching google and the forums so I thought I would ask. Thanks for the help

S2U2 Voicemail Count

hey folks, got a quick question, the answer to which will probably be obvious and make me feel stupid for asking, but i'm suffering from a brain fart right now. i swear i just read about this a week or so ago, but it wasn't the topic i was looking for, i just happened across it while looking for something else, so i made no effort to write it down or commit it to memory. so here it is: i'm running S2U2 v2.04 on my Tilt. this one is a bit different. it's built into the Shifu 4.2 ROM that i installed the other day and differs ever so slightly from the S2U2 cab that i always install. problem is that (when S2U2 is locked) my voicemail count ALWAYS says -1 (negative 1), regardless of how many voicemails i actually have. anyone out there know a fix for this? i'm sure it's something simple that just isn't occurring to me. i searched for the post that i came across the other week, but no dice! can anyone tell me how to fix this or point me in the direction of the post?
also, not necessary, but this version of S2U2 has the flip clock with the date below it. problem is that when i recieve a text message and it displays on my phone, i can see the date THRU the blue boxed text message, making it difficult to read the text. like i said, it has the flip clock (the one that comes standard with the M2D with Home Weather setup) and the date line that is interfering is on what would be the equivilent of the hh_hm_clockbg.png (gray colored semi-transparent box on the home screen of M2D with Home Weather). anyone know how to get rid of that date line and/or the gray background box? thanks in advance for taking the time to read this, even if you don't know of a fix for it. i appreciate the effort regardless.

Wallpaper changer...and "Homescreen changer"?

Hi all.
I'm new to Android (moving over from WinMo) and I have a couple of questions;
Does anyone know if there are any reliable apps that can change wallpapers at regular intervals or according to location?
It would be great if the app could randomly select wallpapers too.
Secondly, I know that Android (on the HTC Desire/Bravo at least) allows for the creation of multiple panels, is it possible to have the phone switch to a particular panel at a particular time or location i.e. have the phone switch to a work panel at 0900 and then home again at 1800?
Thanks in advance
i love this idea i want to know if anyone gots any info on this as well

Hi.
I found WallSwitch (its in the Market place. This allows random and timed wallpaper switched. It's at version 2.0.2 at the moment.
Neat little heap; stable, doesn't fall over in a heap if the images are moved.
Hope this helps.

HTC Weather addins

I feel like I searched everywhere! On my TP2 with MSMobile, there was an addin for more weather locations for the Weather Theme. I found one link to directions for the Android saying if you press the add locations/search you can get gmaps to come up and select from there, but it won't work on the Incredible. Anyone know how?
By the way, this thing is amazing! Too bad it's not Global!
Yeah on my old Hero if I pressed search Google maps would come up, but on the Incredible nothing. I'm guessing this is a small bug that will get fixed in a future update. If anyone knows of a fix please let me know.
Hit the weather part of the screen under the clock and it will take you to weather just like the tp2 did. Then you can add to your hearts content with the plus.
Yours must work different, because that's what I did, then it won't find cities. Ashville, Blowing Rock, Hilton Head Island.... examples of popular destinations, but they aren't there.
Feels like there are only 10 cities in their list. Really sad.

Missing Buddy Widget after ICS Update

Hi,
since i updated to ICS there is no Buddy Widget on my Note.
Have anybody a idea to solve this?
Thx & Rgds
MyPass
Hey...glad i'm not alone with this, i also miss the buddy thing and can't stand the new one with the useless grey bar next to it.
That bar is even more useless cuz i don't use any social media platforms thus that grey bar only displays my contacts name, which i obvious already know...lol....
I found nothing similar in the market, nor am i able to use the old GB widget.
Been on it for a few days then gave up, so i'm curious if anybody has a good alternative or even better...managed to port the old GB one.
Seems to be we are alone ;-(
i´m still searching for a solution or replacement
Why don't you create a shortcut to your contacts?
Yes, the shortcut is possible, but the picture is only the half size in comparision to the buddy widget ;-(

Weather Live Wallpaper

So, after searching the Apps section and trying a few Apps suggested by some others, I am at a loss for why this doesn't exist. I know Lock screens are pretty well dead due to the advent of biometric logins but Live Wallpapers still seem to thrive. I know all the bad that comes with them, battery life and whatnot. But every Live Wallpaper I have seen, is little more than either a looped video or an animation that plays in a loop (maybe the rare one is interactive but I digress). Perhaps it is because widgets exist, but those too come with their own set of limitations I am sure, since I am not a developer I would not know.
If anyone remembers the HTC Sense 5 Weather Live Wallpaper, it was on the lockscreen but that is unimportant. It was a great weather live wallpaper, had excellant animations including lightning rain drops on the screen, snow, moon cycle, etc..
I am looking for a fullscreen widget that will do this, or perhaps a halfscreen? The point is, a widget that does weather animations based on the current weather conditions and perhaps a few hours out and then when you press on the widget, it would open whatever default weather app you had or at the least, whatever app it was using for its information.
Since I am pretty sure this app doesn't exist, it either means this is a new idea (VERY unlikely) or that there is a limitation somewhere (perhaps only on Samsung devices?) that is preventing it from working the way I am hoping. Its been many years since I was here and it makes me wonder if this idea has already been hashed out and found to be dead or if the idea just went away.
If anyone can let me know, I would appreciate it. If I am missing something, perhaps an app that looks a bit shady (low number of reviews and downloads) but is exactly what I am looking for, please give me the name. I've been all over the Play Store and the Galaxy Store and it kind of makes me wonder why this doesn't exist or if I am just blind.
FYI, my current device is the Fold 3, so if HTC has something that is what I am looking for but won't work on my device, it will suck but the question is still valid.
Thanks!
